I have a Sony Pocket Edition (the PRS-300), but I lost my usb cord. This allows me to charge and move files on and off my Reader. Also, it's one piece, with one usb cord for the computer, and one charger and one usb connection for your Sony Reader. Both the usb charge, and separate power charge work fine. It's long (not too long), about the length of the usb cord that came with the Sony Readers, maybe a bit longer. I guess the separate power charge simply works faster than over usb to usb. If you're worried that it may kill your Sony battery, or something, I usually forgot I have it connected, and end up charging for 5+ hours, with no problems yet. So if you need a replacement cord, this is what you're looking for.

Charging the Sony reader with the original Mfg supplied cable included the 110 volt plug. This replacement only charges from the USB connector.
