Aluminum case with plastic screen cover provides great protection against bumps and scrapes. The Shadow fits snugly into the case, maybe a bit too snugly so be careful when trying to extract it. The aluminum case interferes with the GSM radio, bluetooth and wi-fi seem to be unaffected (but they are short range). If you have no service you can gain up to a 2 bar increase in service by removing it from the case, but if you are indoors like I usually am I just use a desk phone or wait until I'm back outside.If you want the best protection against your clumsiness and if you keep your Shadow in your pocket with your keys you will need this case.
