The bag itself is well made and looks great. It holds my laptop and basic essentials (blackberry, ipod, book) but it's not a bag if you have alot of files. And you'll need to carry a purse with this bag, since there isn't any room for non-office essentials.
ordered it and received it after i got my new cartridge and headshell. so, ended up using it to check my alignment after the fact. there are two points, A & B that you place your stylus on. small grids around those points makes for a busy visual against the mirrored backdrop. basically, i had to use my guide light and kneel down to the turntable to see where the stylus was in relation to the points. then, stand up to see how parallel my cartridge was against the grid lines.

First the mirror both helps and hurts you. It helps by getting you lined up. It hurts you for stylus alignment. The lines reflect in the mirror. Thus you have to be right over the cartridge. I had a paper card that came with the turntable years ago that did the same thing. Using this tool comfirmed that my cartridge alignment was perfect. Cartridge alignment is very important for sound quality. I am converting my albums to CD. And the playback is amaizing. I recomend it because it is of good quality and it works. I tried a couple paperboard protractors, but this one's a bit better. It's important to read the instructions and understand them. Being able to look from both sides and straight down is important. This product really expanded the usefulness of my Samsung i-700 PDA/Phone. The first week, it was a huge help in getting me into the heart of Chicago with only one wrong turn (the turns were too close together for the unit to switch fast enough!). The one small glitch I had with getting the GPS to power-up was solved with a quick phone call to Pharos, and I've had no problems since. My only grumbles have been that my PDA cannot be made to stay on more than 5 minutes, while powered; and the Ostia maps are not as detailed as Microsoft Streets & Trips. Otherwise, Great!

Well, let me begin by saying that I researched all of the PDAs on the market including Palm products and came away that this unit would be the best choice out there due to its 80211b connectivity. I primarily use Windows and as such though it would be a great tool to use to keep track of my contacts, Outlook messages, and to even sometimes use the IE browser capabilities remotely. After getting the unit, setting it up, and using it for several weeks I ended up returning it. Here's why, 1) The battery power is horrible if you use BlueTooth or the 80211b. I primarily wanted the unit to connect to my Outlook both at home and at work and I found the battery lifetime to be just short of two hours when using the 80211b (with BlueTooth turned off). This made it really tough to be able to attend a long meeting and rely on the 5455 for my email. Yes I could have carried optional battery packs, but I didn't want to do that. After all if this unit is supposed to be all encompassing then I shouldn't need to carry gear with me to support it. 2) The reliability of the wireless is not without its faults. Quite often I had to do soft resets it got to the point that somewhere between 20-30 percent of the time a soft reset was required. 3) The Pocket PC operating system, particularly the aspects related to wireless connectivity and connectivity with the AutoSynch mechanism are not flawless in their implementation you'll find problems connecting, you'll lose connections, and if you have more than one email service/account then you'll have to manually switch each time to get mail from each of the accounts. 4) I noticed the current incarnation of the Pocket PC OS have problems with slowing down in CPU speed when adding more applications to the unit. This is somewhat expected that as you add apps the OS will slow down, but adding just a handful of standard apps to the 5455 brought the peppy default speed of the unit down to almost intolerable. Again, since these were my primary reasons for purchasing the unit if the synching and wireless didn't work perfectly then there was little point in keeping the 5455. After three weeks of giving the 5455 every effort that I could make a case for keeping it I came to the conclusion that it did not meet my needs. A few weeks later I still do not in any way regret the decision of returning it. Taking into consideration the cost of the unit and the poor reliability and short battery life it just didn't make sense for me. I'll wait till HP come out with better battery technology that actually lasts with wireless and I'll wait till Microsoft come out with their next implementation of the OS which will hopefully synchronize and generally work more reliably. Perhaps by the time this happens then we'll have a version available which is built into a digital telephone this would be an even more practical and useful real-world solution.

I've been a long time Palm user starting with a Pro and owning 6 or 7 since, most recently an M515. I purchased the iPaq 5455 one year ago, directly from HP when it first hit the market, paying $649 plus $200 for a 3 year top of the line warranty. I have had several problems with the unit. Starting with the display on the unit going out only after a month or two of receiving it. The next problem was with the battery loosing its charge. Most recently, I have been having the recurring problem of the unit locking up not powering on. And like others, I have never been able to sync my info wirelessly.
We purchased two of these about a year apart, the first one broke with only a few days use in a year but I can't say we were delicate handling it. The setup was difficult and required too much revision download. We actually like the screen display and took a chance on another one just recived. The latest revions are still not an easy setup on our Windows 7 laptop. The unit fails to self prompt upon USB connecting as is option one in the instructions, option two is manual download of driver software and requires some manipulation most normal computer users might find difficult. For the price and given todays plug an play technology it's dissapointing it is not easier to setup. Overall the performance and screen is great, just be prepared with an hour or so to get it working, more or less depending on your computer skills.
I like the cover but I had a very hard time getting it on. The texture of the skin is a little different. While I was trying to place it correctly on the Xbox air bubbles kept getting caught under the skin. My last skin I bought did not do this and that is because it was a little bit thinner than this one. Once the skin is on it looks really nice though (if you get all the air bubbles out) :P
Bought this item as a wirless keyboard/mouse for my Samsung Smart TV 6500 series, After recieving the wrong item the first time, had to pay for shipping to return it, and wait for the correct item. After 20+ days, I recieved my item today. The bluetooth range stated on the RII website states 10 meters, you are lucky if you get 3 feet. Defeats the purpose and intent that I bought it for. It does connect to Samsung Smart TVs, but good luck sitting on your couch 10 feet away trying to type a search into Netflix. Its not going to happen. Maybe someone else can have better luck.

I bought the iGo Juice 70. Seems like a good idea with auto adaptor. However, the DELL adaptor does not charge the computer (it's "power only"). The ice90 by iGo is great for notebook computers that have a worn power connector slot. The iGo male end is slightly thicker than OEM and makes a better connection. The blue light is great for troubleshooting. It also has longer cords on both sides of the brick. It has been a champ for over a year now. Besides the larger size, I give this unit 2 thumbs up.
Sandisk has been a very reliable brand for me. However 64 MB is not enough capacity for anything except a 1 megapixel camera. If your camera is above 2 MP, get a couple of 256MB CF cards. If you're at 4 MP or over, get a pair of 512MB cards. Don't put all your eggs in one basket with one huge cardif it goes bad while shooting, you're sunk. Lexar is also a very reliable brand of CF card. Don't worry about the write/read speed of the cardthat's mostly a waste of time unless you're a pro photographer shooting with a $5000 camera.

I owned a Palm M105 for 20 days, and it broke; replaced it with a Palm M100, and it broke in 27 days. Having decided I was done with Palm I scouted the Web and decided the Clie 360 would work for me. The 360 has 16 MB of RAM. I don't know any other PDA which offers that much RAM... The 360 is rechargeable. Again, who else is offering that. The 360 also has a nice, leatherette cover, excellent styling, and a substantial feeling metal stylus. The best thing about the 360 has to be the screen. It is MUCH sharper than the screen on my Palms. There are no streaks or dark spots, and the backlighting is much better. Most other PDAs reverse the screen colors which makes the wording green. This is fine in total darkness, but in a low-light situation, it just washes out. The 360 keeps the wording in black, and uses an indiglo blue behind it. It is highly readable in all lighting situations, and in fact, unless in bright sunlight I always turn the light on. Yes, this eats battery, but since the 360 is rechargeable, that is no problem. The battery in the 360 is Lithion Ion Polymer, which my friend in the cell phone industry tells me is cutting edge. OK, here's the deal. I bought this to get a portable GPS that I could play with on my laptop. I recieved it, spent an hour trying to figure out how it worked (because on windows it masqueraded as a serial mouse, had to edit the registry to make it work, which was inconvenient, and on linux it was as convoluted a process as these things usually are#. It worked ok for a few hours #accuracy wasn't great, ~20m).
