I have had my Jornada for a month now and I have been nothing but pleased. It has exceeded my every expectation. The color (12-bit) is wonderful, the sound from the built-in speaker (and headphones) is surprisingly good, and the functionality is astounding. Make no mistake, you are not buying an organizer --you are buying a COMPUTER. 133 mhz processer, 12-bit color, 32 mb of ram --is it just me, or wasn't that a top-of-the-line desktop computer 5 yrs ago?Well, I won't go into the basics -other reviewers have done a good job doing so --let me focus on other areas.
Buying extra memory is a must if you download a lot (MP3s or books). (I filled up my memory within 2 weeks after downloading 9 books, 2 songs, and 5 extra games... Books seem to be 500k to 1 mb, MP3s are 4-6MB and games are less than 1MB) I'd recommend going with the maximum upgrade of 128 MB flash-card --you could put 2 hours of MP3s on that card! This is great if you always wanted an MP3 player, as I did, now I can just roll the functionality of my Jornada into my portable music station.
For downloading books I recommend checking out the great FREE selection on Amazon.com. (Another good place is, egads!, Barnes and Nobles.com) There are some great books just worth keeping in the memory in case you are stuck somewhere with time on your hands.
I highly recommend getting the FREE Pocket PC expansion pack offered by Microsoft --it contains some games (Chess is great, Hearts is great, Pac Man is alright --but is meant to be played with a joystick), but more importantly, offers a lot of other great software, free. There is a "paint" program -it offers simple drawing in many colors (but no paintbrush or sprayer), the e-book reader program (allows you to display e-books), a great "slide-shower" program (I put family pictures in here in 5 minutes) --there is a full screen mode which allows you to page-through slides, and is really impressive. There is even an ADOBE ACROBAT reader --quite amazing, though I wonder how documents will look on a small screen.
The best thing about the Jornada is that it is very intuitive. The internal file system is set up just like your home PC -with a version of "explorer". This allows you to open an "explorer" menu (when your Jornada is "synched" with your computer). The advantage of this is you can just open folders on your big computer's screen and drag and drop PHOTOS, E-BOOKS, MP3s, and M-PEGS just as easy as that. One of my best comments about this product is that I didn't need the instruction manual.
Other highlights --the COMPLETE synchronization with Microsoft's products is absolutely wonderful. Outlook is FULLY synched --alerts, contacts, and tasks to remember are added to your home computer (after you've added them to your Jornada). (By the way, you receive the FULL version of Outlook 2000 for free when you purchase your Jornada). Word and Excel allow you to open e-mail attachments as well as create new documents. Microsoft Money requires a separate purchase of Money 2000 (or newer) and is really cool. It keeps your whole checkbook, basic stock information, and lists of Payees and Expense categories available at your fingertips.
The Jornada can be extensively customized, I found THAT very attractive --a variety of sound, backlight, password, and hotkey settings can be changed quickly from the internal menus.
Surprisingly, the calculator is one "widget" that I've used more than anything else. It really feels natural, and gets a LOT of use in restaurants...
The weight is nothing you can't handle, but is noticeable --it is heavier than it looks, and I wouldn't want to put it into a shirt pocket, or try to squeeze it into a pair of jeans. If you drop it on a hard surface, good luck, because it looks like it'd shatter --it is heavy.
The cover is very nice. It is sleek metal, which is great protection. One drawback is that it is not something that is easily removed (though you can --with care), and doesn't move back more than 90 degrees when opened.
I like the stylus. It is very easy to pull out and use, and stores very well.
The best program is the built-in "NOTE taker" function. You write on the screen and your strokes are captured exactly as written--no "graffiti" or "keboard" needed here (though these ARE an option). This is the fastest way to take notes --basically just drawing on a touch-pad. Also, another neat function is that you can press the red button on the side and RECORD voice messages that are saved with specific notes--really cool! You can even record messages when the machine is off --just press the button and you can record for as long as you have memory!
Every morning I plug it in and it automatically downloads 500 web pages for view later --it takes less than 5 minutes on a 28.8 modem. This is the best part --I was astounded how fun it was to read news on the metro on my handheld. (Every time you "synch" outdated web pages are deleted, and new ones stored).
Go to Avantgo.com, and you can choose a variety of web sites to be AUTOMATICALLY downloaded to your Pocket PC --this is just the ultimate in usefulness. I entered my zipcode and now articles are more relevent to me. Just an example --I said I wanted to see Hollywood.com, and now I get all the movie summaries, locations, and movie times downloaded to my Pocket PC --no more looking through the paper... You can download book reviews, news, business, sports, and weather. You can also get ALL of your articles on your MY YAHOO site (if you have one) --this was a REAL plus. The New York times offers a LOT of features, as does MSN.
One last thing --you can download MAPS -this blew my mind -there were maps of all major cities available --you just drag and drop the ones you want onto your Pocket PC. When viewing a map, just click on the spot you want to see, and you can zoom in. You can get to individual streets, and it looks stunning in color --I really love this feature. No more carrying outsized maps with me (and looking like a tourist) when I'm in the city. Wonderful!
More to say, but not today. I am one satisfied customer. A purchase for someone who wants more than just an organizer... a LOT more.
My new HP Jornada 548 Pocket PC has changed everything for me. The color is sharp and clean (yes, even with the notorious 12-bit vs. the advertised 16-bit technology), the software seems to be extremely stable, and the look of it is way sexier than even the Palm V! But probably the biggest change is the software availability that comes with the Pocket PC and from 3rd party developers. Including Pocket Word, Excel, Money, AvantGo (can't live without it!), Pocket IE, Reader (I'm in the first half of "Timeline"), and support for POP3/IMAP4 email in addition to the included Outlook Inbox -and still leaving me nearly all 32MB of memory I started with is AWESOME!
Notice my focus on applications? That's no coincidence ... a palm-held PC has become more and more important to me, and it MUST do more than just show my contacts and appointments (something I hear a bit too much from other Palm users). My Pocket PC has become an integral part of my computing day; and will continue to be even more important over the next few years. So having top-notch applications available that are fast, user-friendly (still getting used to the new spot for "Start"), and seamlessly integrated with my desktop PC counterparts is critically important for me.

The Jornada 548 is not perfect, but for me its the best mix of features so far.I've had several color palm-sized Windows CE and Pocket PCs. I've had 2 Casio Cassiopeia E-105's, a Compaq Aero 1520, and a Cassiopeia E-10 and A-11. I've also looked at the Compaq iPaq.
The iPaq is fast and light and its display is easily visible outdoors. But once you add a CompactFlash card sleeve it's bulky. And you still need a case to protect the screen, adding further bulk. (Screen protection is important to me because I've broken the display on my Cassiopeia E-10 twice!)
The HP Jornada 548 has a built-in metal screen protector and CompactFlash slot, and a metal case. It looks sleek and its display is very nice indoors (but hard to see outdoors). Since I need screen protection and I always use a CompactFlash memory card, it's the perfect Pocket PC for me.
A word about Pocket PCs vs. Palms: If all you need is an electronic organizer, a Palm is sufficient. It's easy to use, it's convenient, and its organizer functions are simple. But look at one of the Pocket PCs if you need an organizer that's FULLY compatible with Microsoft Outlook (including all contact information fields). Look at a Pocket PC if you want the power of a multimedia PC that you can carry in your pocket. To me there is no question the Pocket PC is the right choice for me. It won't be for everyone.
You can get a color Pocket PC for not much more than the color Palm IIIc. If monochrome is enough for you, the Compaq Aero 1550 Pocket PC is thin and sleek. It's in the same price range as a good Palm, and it's more capable.

Notwithstanding that the ipaq has 206 mhz vs the HP's 133, that the ipaq's TFT LCD screen is a little sharper outside, that the ipaq can take PC cards and flash cards (with the help of add-on jackets) vs the HP that can only take flash cards, that the ipaq weighs 6.3oz vs the HP that weighs 9.1oz, that the ipaq's has a 12 hour Lithium Polymer battery vs Hp's 8 hour Lithium Ion battery, and that the ipaq has wireless capabilities, I would still, and without hesitation, choose the HP Jornada 548!Why? Because of the following1. the HP looks and feels better (good old HP quality) 2. the HP, being slightly heavier, and together with rubber linings along the sides, fits snugly and safely into your hand 3. the ipaq's silver/aluminium finish looks cheaper than HP's black finish 4. the record button on the ipaq is reputed to be badly placed 5. the ipaq's internal housing for the stylus could become troublesome 6. the HP comes with a 'built-in' hard cover for the screen essential for a PDA 7. the HP's flash-slot is integrated much easier than carting extra jackets around 8. the shape and size of the AC adapter for the HP is far superior to that of the ipaq compaq have forgotten that the whole motivation of having a PDA is its size defeated if you need a briefcase to carry the AC adapter! 9. both do the same tasks, one slightly quicker, but the difference is academic; 10. the ipaq's jackets (pc cards and flash) do not clip in tight this could lead to the PDA sliding out and ending up under feet is it worth the risk? 11. the plastic wallet that comes with the ipaq does not close properly another potential disaster So hardware spec-wise the ipaq wins hand down but quality, finish, appeal and design awards must go to the HP my ultimate choice.

I love my Pocket PC. I use this thing more than any device I have ever owned. From the moment it arrived it became much more than a gadget. I have owned lots of gadgets, including the palm. They were great to carry around and show off but the pocket PC is the most useful thing I have ever owned. Here is an example of how I use it through out my day. 5:00 AM: Wake up to the alarm. It plenty loud enough to rouse even me. 7:00 AM: Listen to MP3,s or sometimes audio books on my drive to work.8:00 AM: Pop it in the cradle and sync with my Outlook at work. All my email, Calendar, task, web pages, files, etc... 9:00 AM: go to daily morning meeting with nothing but my Pocket PC. I have all my status reports in MS word. When we discuss an email someone sent out with an attached excel spreadsheet I just open it on my pocket PC and review. I open up the note pad and take notes through out the meeting.Oh yea, sometimes I get bored and play games with the sound off. It look like I am taking notes. 10:00 AM and throughout the day it goes with me to all meetings. Taking notes on it is a breeze. It is as close to actual writing as you can get. 12:00 Noon: Take it to lunch. If I am alone I read through the days news on Pocket Internet Explorer. Its updates every time I sync so I always have the latest news and movietimes, weather, etc...If it is a business luncheon I exchange contact info with partners and clients via infrared. I can exchange even with Palm owners thanks to Peacemaker. 6:30 PM: Go home and listen to MP3's on the way. 8:30 PM: Read books using the MS Reader. So far I have read. Tom Sawyer, Timeline, Fredrick Douglas, a good portion of the bible, part of the Koran, Thus spake Zarathustra' Albert Einstein's Quotes, Shakespeare's Sonnets and Digital Times.
I own the Jornado and it is in my mind the best. The Ipaq and Casio are great in many respects but no one beats the form factor, styling and slickness of the Jornado

If you're looking at this because of the software, I'd suggest that you check out the phone manufacturers web site first; they may provide it for free. If you're looking at this for the cable, go for either a retractable on, or get bluetooth for your computer.
MicroVision SHOWWX+ Laser Pocket Projector
I want to chime in given the overly optimistic reviews listed for this product. We've had the device for a couple of weeks now and I want to point out a few things that haven't been mentioned by other reviewers.The image quality is good given the size of the device and the brightness set to its highest value is sufficient. The projector suffers from severe pincushion distortions, and there's no way to correct for this via any of the limited menu settings, which is quite surprising. There's also no keystone adjustment, or any other image geometry adjustment for that matter. This includes the size of the image. When other reviewers say that the size can be adjusted, that simply means that you can increase or decrease the distance to the screen to change the image size, since the projection opening angle is fixed. Somewhat annoying, but not a deal breaker.
While we are at missing features, the device doesn't have a threaded hole to attach it to a tripod or any other means of attaching it to anything. This wouldn't be so bad if the device wasn't that lightweight due to the plastic housing (which could be considered a plus, but it feels cheap) and came with a very short and stiff iPod connector cable. The moment you reposition the iPod / iPad, the projector will move; there aren't even rubberized feet underneath the device. Clearly, not too much thought was put into this. According to the Microvision website, the VGA connector comes with a threaded hole for tripod mounting. I would have hoped that there was some sort of mounting plate available as an accessory to mount the actual projector as well. Right now, I'd recommend using a universal iPod / iPhone car mount.
The really bad part is, as somewhat feared, the battery life. Set to the highest brightness (there are 3 brightness settings) and standard color mode, one gets about 60 minutes out of a fully charged battery. That's not enough to watch a full-length movie, obviously, and we are considering returning the device for this reason. Yes, you could plug the device into the wall or buy an extra ($30) battery, but that takes away some of the ultra portability. We'll test it once more on the next lower setting to see if we can make it through a 90 minute movie. If not, the device goes back. The specs claim up to 120 minutes of battery life ... maybe when you display an image of a black panther at night;-)

One reviewer pointed out that since the device uses lasers to operate instead of an incandescent bulb, he would never ever have to replace a bulb again. Well, true, but lasers do have a MTBF as well, and there's no way to replace them in this unit. I wouldn't count the absence of a replacement option as a plus.
Just our two cents. Think about the money you are about to spend and whether you really need such a portable device. Laser projectors are certainly the future, but maybe there needs to be some more competition to perfect the product.

That said, I did not expect anything too remarkable from something 1/4 the price of my home projector and 1/20th the size... but, boy was I wrong!
A few things about this unit:
First, it's about the size of an iPhone and that includes the battery. This is absolutely incredible and showing it to people, they say: "Where's the rest of it?!"
Second, unlike my home theater projector, this uses laser technology so it is always in perfect focus. Let me repeat that: IT IS ALWAYS IN PERFECT FOCUS. This is mind-numbingly cool and is a game-changer in and of itself! Focus is one of those things that you fiddle with almost every time you start the projector, but here it is always perfect. Amazing!
Next, because of the lasers, there are no bulbs to burn out--an expensive and annoying feature of traditional projectors.
So, in theory, this is an astounding piece of technology, but what about the image quality? Well, I am delighted to report that it is superb! Crisp, clear, with eye-popping colors and very good resolution. It also fortunately looks great with video, with a rapid response that really looks perfect.
What are the negatives?
Well there are two: the first is that it is bright but could be brighter. In a dark room, it looks amazing, even projecting to over 100 inches on the ceiling! But if there is some ambient light, it gets faded fast at larger sizes. That said, keeping a small and concentrated image--say 30 or 40 inches, it looks pretty great and would be a much better way to show photos, videos or slides than on your phone or even iPad.
The second is that the resolution is really good, but not quite as sharp as a home projector. Given the source material (phones and even iPads), however, this works out well.
I am thinking that this is the direction things will go. With low prices like these already, and with increasing brightness each iteration, I am wondering when these will replace LCD and Plasma TVs--I think it really is just a matter of time. For now, this is an incredible unit for anyone who needs to present to small groups on the go: sales folks, executives, and even teachers for smaller groups. For just a few hundred dollars, you are a totally self-contained AV service. This is going to make a very big splash, I think.

Pretty happy with this upgraded version. Using this toy mainly for watching streaming video movies from Netflix. Good for up to 40 in. on the wall in semi-dark env. Linked via s-video from laptop to composite video on the projector. Bought an s-video to rca convertor.Pros:

Cons:
-poor for viewing text (almost can not view any words in MS Word doc from VGA docking to laptop)

I just purchased a ShowWx+ from Amazon for $199 a spectacular price break, particularly compared to the ShowWx I bought last March from a European retailer for $630. I was excited about the technology and couldn't wait to get my hands on one, so $630 was worth it to me.I wasn't disaappointed vivid colors, infinite focus, small, lightweight portability the ShowWx is an absolute revolution in display technology. And it never ceases to amaze those I show it to. They cannot believe such a stunning picture can be produced by such a small device. I have literally stopped traffic at night with 30-foot diagonal videos on the side of my house.
So I was more than willing to pay $199 for an "improved" version of the ShowWx. The plus model boasts 15 lumens output (versus 10 lumens for the original Show), and I was anxious to see the difference. So I lined up my Shows side-by-side in a dark room in my basement and hooked them up to iPods containing the same music video. I then tried (and failed, somewhat) to run the videos simultaneously. I made a video of the experiment, but since they won't allow me to post a link to YouTube here, if you wish to see it, just go to YouTube to my channel, "hendersonbay1" and it's the only video on there. It's about 5 minutes.
Quickly, the limitations of both the ShowWx and the Plus model are about the same. They perform best in darkness or very low light, and the battery life is limited to 90 100 minutes not plugged into a wall outlet or USB port. I noticed other reviewers complaining about not being able to display the menus or screens on their iPhones or iPads, but that is because Apple has locked their devices so as to prevent them from using alternate displays. If you "jailbreak" your Apple devices, this limitation goes away. But videos or pictures on Apple devices look great via the Show.
Putting the ShowWx and the ShowWx side by side, I can say that the colors and picture overall from the Plus model are better richer colors and color contrast. What I can't say is DRAMATICALLY better, because the picture on the original ShowWx is so good. But it is an improvement. If you take the time to view the video I posted, you should understand that the difference on the video was somewhat more dramatic than the difference I noticed in person. I'm sure there's a technical reason for this, but I don't know what it is.
In any case, the pictures from both Shows were spectacular. I had the projectors 63 inches from the wall, which translates into an over five foot diagonal projection. The colors were rich and bright, the focus was flawless, and the "wow factor" was doubled with two 63-inch projections filling the wall.
I could go on for many more paragraphs about all the potentially fun and productive things you could do with a Show, but I'd start sounding like a salesman for Microvision (which I'm not). I think this technology is amazing and, if you've done your research and understand the limitations, you will not be disappointed in either the Show Wx or ShowWx+. It'll knock your socks off.

After reading all the reviews and compared to other brands, I ordered this projector with high expectation. After tried it, I decided to return it. Thank god I bought it from Amazon where the return policy is straight forward and painless. Below is what I experienced:1. I understand this is a tiny projector with dim light but I was not expecting it to be useless in a normally lighted office. I tried to project in a room with blinds closes, one ceiling light and projecting it to a white wall about 4 feet away; can't see anything. I had to get closer than 2 feet to get a decent image.
2. The battery life is short, but I can connect the power cord so I don't rely on battery. The device can be powered by USB so you can connect it to a laptop USB port to power it while you're using the projector.
3. I purchased the VGA adapter. It works with my Sony and Alienware laptops. However I had to reduce the resolution to 800x600. It does not support anything higher. The problem with my Sony is my Sony is a mini P model with 16:9 screens. When I changed it to 800x600 made the Sony screen is tiny and difficult to operate, at the same time the projection turned to 16:9 ratio, so the image looks bad.
3. I connected it to an iPhone 4, iPod video and movie play well, but it does not project iPhone photos or Safari. I used an Altec Lansing iM-237 speaker, which works great with the iPhone and projector.
I purchased this projector as a carry in bag at all-time device for both personal entertainment and do quick demo of applications and internet to customers via iPhone/iPad/Laptop. I can deal with the dim light and the 800x600 resolution, but I was disappointed that I can't display applications, games or Safari from iPhone. I have not tried iPad yet and will test it tomorrow. I will also try the composite video cable to see if I can display photo and Safari from iPhone.
This is a beautiful piece of hardware and does one thing, play iTunes video from iPod/iPhone/iPad. The reason why it does not display Safari or games from iPhone 4 may be an Apple software issue, but unfortunately I was hoping for more than playing iPod video.
I am returning this and will try an Optoma PK301.

Start flaking right away! I wouldn't use it because the little black flakes of paint kept falling off. I'm not sure what kind of paint it was painted with but it doesn't bond to the case
Besides all the great fast shipping and the usual hoopla, the case itself is well built. The case fit perfectly (it even came with a case remover!). Maybe it's my monitor but the product picture doesn't do it justice. The case in the picture looks completely black with this flaming flower on it, right? Its much better and more expensive looking in reality. The whole case is black, but it has a orangey-firey-reddish kind of afterglow (looks much better imo). The screen protector went on great, just one or two air bubbles (my fault). And yes it is one of those screen protectors with misspelled directions, but hey, the whole set is less than just the screen protector at Frys. Oh yea, the case feels awesome!!! The flower by the way looks 3d at different angles.
If i remember I'll update this review when my phone (hopefully) survives its first bad fall.

I like the cover but I had a very hard time getting it on. The texture of the skin is a little different. While I was trying to place it correctly on the Xbox air bubbles kept getting caught under the skin. My last skin I bought did not do this and that is because it was a little bit thinner than this one. Once the skin is on it looks really nice though (if you get all the air bubbles out) :P
I put the two large side pieces on first and they went on in a second.
The front piece however was a little larger than it needed to be and caused the design to be off.
My xbox sits on its side so its not noticable, BUT I Know its there and it still gives me an itch.

this is a great value for the included accessories. The only downs that could be mentioned are firstly: the wall charger causes the touchscreen on my pixi to not register contact in the proper place when plugged in (albeit the charger gets my phone up and running in almost no time.) and secondly: the pouch is a bit generic and big for the pixi which is one of the smallest available phones even with a case/cover.

i bought a smaller otterbox after losing a phone to the lake. I fell in love with that one and got this one then as well. They are awesome rugged boxes to store personal belongings on the beach, fishing, etc. I had to test this also :). i put a piece of paper in it and put it in the lake next to me. I pushed it under water and held it there. The paper was dry as a bone. I even tested the durability. I love it! I recommend this product. Any questions please ask i am always looking for advice so i enjoy giving it when i can as well.

I thought this was going to be bigger than what it was. It couldn't even fit my Nikon 5100... That's my fault but I kept the box anyways because it is well built and might be of some use for something else. OtterBox items are typically amazing products. My attorney is buying one too.IPazzPort Pro Mini works great and a handy item to have. I use it as a remote input unit for my Droid 4. My only drawback is it's very light and doesn't have a heavy duty feeling to it. That being said, with proper care, I'm sure it will last quite a while. I used some Fabreze on it but then found that the only think that actually worked was to use a lightweight soap and water on it and then let it dry out. This is the first behind-the-ear design I have tried and Iam kicking myself for not doing so much sooner. It takes a little getting use to at first to place it behind your ear then flex the ear bud over your ear then seat it properly to your ear but once you get use to it is not so bad.
Once seated and in place you almost forget that it is on. Both caller and called party are clear and no muffled audio. (unless it is on the other person's end because they have a crappy earset lol) Construction is sturdy and the cord does not feel cheap or like if you put too much stress on it the wires will break. I have found in my experience that Jabra is usually a well put together product and this earset lives up to that opinion.
Be careful when looking into these as the Jabra c250 may not be useable on just any phone. I have an LG Voyager and before purchasing this model I bought the c250. The packaging clearly stated that it was for certain models of Samsung phones through AT&T but the product description listed it as a universal earset. I do not blame the seller because in many cases cell sets are pretty much universal but in this case I could be heard fine but could not hear caller even with volume full, was like they were verrrry far away.
Be aware of the model number as they are identical in physical design. This one is the c500 so be sure you are looking at the correct model when price shopping.
Mine was $5 with shipping and am so pleased with it I ordered 2 more the day I received it so I have extras if I break or lose this one.
Comfortable, light, stays in place, excellent audio quality both send and received, great price in my case, what more could you ask for?

This headset is reasonably comfortable. Have not found one I didn't want to remove when I was done talking. Sound quality is excellent, but you cannot use this in an area with any noise. The microphone picks up, amplifies, and transmits all ambient noise to whomever you are speaking with. Apparently it is extreme as everyone has complained to me about it and no one ever complained to me about any of my previous headsets.Save 81% Off
I like this product so well that I bought more of them for the family. I know wireless is nice but I hate to have to charge things up. This way it just plugs in your phone and you are set. I order the stylus for my PPC 6700 and it took SF Planet 4 days to send an email saying they canceled my order because the item was out of stock. The web site says it is still in stock. I wouldn't waste time ordering from SF Planet, they obviously have inventory management issues. If you are in a hurry for replacement parts don't waste time with SF Planet.

The stylus from bargaincell is nothing like the picture, very cheap and don't even fit the phone properly. The product performs as described but I have real concerns.The red micro wire is exceptionally thin. I have never seen such a thin wire on any consumer product of this type. The supporting jack housings and wire coating do not appear to support what I pereceive would be required to protect this thin wire from handling damage. I handle this like a egg as I road warrior from airport to rental car to hotel.
Purchase options for this type cable are limited so I bought it. I should have bought 2 to eleviate my concerns of it failing when I need it most.

So here I was, with a $20.00 (+s&h!) Gomadic Charger in the mail for a Kindle 1 that no longer existed, and an incompatible (charging adapter wise) Kindle 3 on its way!
I immediately emailed Gomadic Customer Support, explaining the problem and asking how it can be remedied, because otherwise I'd reluctantly have to return the product (they have unconditional 30-day return policy).
To my agreeable surprise, they answered my email within a couple of hours of my sending it to them, and informed me they were sorry to hear of my broken Kindle, and that they had already mailed me the appropriate adapter so I could charge my new Kindle 3, all free of charge.
If that ain't the Rolls-Royce of customer support, I don't know what is.

Having this keyboard for the Toshiba Thrive transforms the experience of typing. I use both this and the onscreen keyboard, depending upon my needs at the time, but when you are doing a great deal of typing, this is the way to go.I am not sure what kind of problem the earlier reviewer was having getting the BT to pair. It took me less time to pair the devices than it took me to peel the protective plastic cellophane off the front of the keyboard. (In case you need a more detailed description of the cellophane experience, I grabbed the plastic tab and pulled. 'Nuff said.) It was quick and painless.
The keyboard is NOT full sized (nor does the manufacturer make such a claim), but it is worth mentioning.
I strongly recommend this keyboard for Thrive owners, and will also mention that I have successfully paired and used this keyboard with my iPhone 4S. It's a versatile little bugger. ;-)
Cons: First one died. Second won't hold a charge after three months. Repeats letters at random. No case for it, so difficult to travel with.
I really wanted to like this keyboard. It's slick looking. It's slightly smaller than the Thrive, so it packs into the same space. Unfortunately, "packs in" is about it ... there's no place on any Toshiba or aftermarket case to put it, and it comes with no cover, nor any way to attach it to a cover if you wanted to. So you're stuck just tossing it in a computer bag or tucking it inside the tablet cover and then trying not to drop it. My wife's iPad case with built-in keyboard has little magnets to hold it in, so it's just "there" when you need it and out of the way and safe when you don't. No such luck with this one. While having a keyboard is a useful addition, not having an easy way to keep it with the tablet means most of the time it doesn't get used.
Like other reviewers, my keyboard occasionally repppppppeats letters at random. UUUUUUUUUsusally it's the beginning of a word, but it's inconsistent and very aaaaaaaaaaaannoying. I have had two now, and both do the same thing. It's not quite a deal killer, but you have to keep a constant eye on what you are typing. Seems to happen more often after a short idle period, but not every time.
The deal killer for me is the batteries. Bought one in Nov '11, and used it lightly for about six months (lightly, because of the no-case issue). Suddenly it would not turn on ... the LED wouldn't light when charging, either. Left it charging all night on a known-good phone charger, and it was just ... dead. Tech support was pretty good and got me a replacement within a week or so. Second keyboard has been very (very) lightly used since June '12. It's September, just three months later, and the new one won't hold a charge. Plug it in, leave it an hour or two (long after the LED stops blinking), then turn it on and start typing. Within literally seconds the low-battery light is blinking again, and it runs for less than an hour before giving up completely. Since the battery is not replaceable (unlike the Thrive itself, *ahem* ) the only thing to do is call tech support yet again.
UPDATE 10/24/2012:
Have third keyboard. Same behavior. Charge it for a few hours, take it off the charger, and by the next day (even though it was off) it won't type. Just red light from the battery indicator. Didn't work right from day one, and now it's so bad it won't even connect and type right after unplugging it; it just turns on the red "low battery" light and that's it. Totally useless. I'd give it zero stars if it was possible.
Noticed with both this one and the second one that if I plug it in, I can type ... with the switch turned OFF. Yes, the on/off switch on the bottom is turned to OFF yet it is connected via Bluetooth to the tablet ... which is fine if you're charging with a USB cable connected to the tablet, but not so helpful if it's across the room plugged in to a computer port. I bought a *wireless* keyboard here, not one I have to plug in. *sigh* Have to turn off Bluetooth on the tablet so I can use Swype.
I guess will wait and spend some of the "ship it back to Toshiba again" money on the new Logitech Bluetooth keyboard coming around. I have a backlit, full size K800 that I use all day every day (which I am using to update this review), and it goes weeks without recharging. I never turn it off, and it's backlit while typing, and still goes weeks.
UPDATE 10/31/2012: Happened to ask my wife about her Kensington keyboard/iPad cover combo. She's had it since April. Get this she's never charged it since the initial overnight charge. Not once. In six months!
UPDATE 11/17/2012: Updating this review with a Kensington cover/keyboard combo. Keeps the keyboard together with the tablet, so it's always handy. Doesn't repeat keys ever. Have been typing on it quite a bit (since it's "always there") and so far haven't charged it in almost two weeks. Don't like the keys as well as the Toshiba, but the fact I can actually _use_ the keys is a definite plus :-)From the description this was exactly the keyboard I was seeking, so I took a gamble that it would work with my Acer Iconia Tab A500. I am pleased to inform all that it paired immediately and works like a champ with my Acer. All that was needed was charging the unit, enabling Bluetooth on the tablet, powering on the keyboard and selecting search for devices then pressing the connect button on the back of the keyboard and following the on screen prompts on the tablet. So far I couldn't be more pleased.... time will tell how long I stay that way.Nice design and very small. I really want to like it, but it doesn't work with the tablet it was built for! Only half the keys work. I reboot and plug in and then different keys keys work... But I can't get it to work all the keys at once! Very upsetting as I wanted to be able to use my tablet to travel and not take my computer... I personally think there is a driver or update that is creating the problem, but I can't find any info online or find a person to talk about it... So, 1 star.. sorry...Works great. Setup was easy. Design was just as described. I would recommend the purchase. In fact, we ordered one for each of our Toshiba Thrives. Would purchase again.

I should have said: "I liked it" since it's a beautifully-designed computer, but I'm a touch typist and couldn't really use such a small keyboard. The vendor was very gracious about accepting the return.
However, I no longer buy anything from China because of the child slavery in that country as well as many other countries. Check it out before you buy and find out if the country and/or company contributes to child slavery.
