Motorola 56320 2-Way Radio Earpiece with Boom Microphone
I use a Motorola Talkabout T6400 in whats called an "Airsoft Game", much like paintball, but with a military simulation twist. Anyway, communication is a very important thing, thus we all use two-way radios. Holding the radio and carrying it in my hand just was not an option, as I use an airsoft gun that takes up two hands. I bought the T6400 with a clip and all, but needed a headset. I saw many products outthere, some ranging from $20-100. I was tight on money, so I decided to go with this particular item. For $10, or whatever it is, you can't really beat it.The capabilities are as follows (especially if you are looking for the VOX feature)

On to the field testing and use..
After doing some prelimenary tests to adjust my volume and whatnot, I got out in a game. My teammates said they could hear me loud and clear, almost too loud they said, haha. I could hear them perfectly as well. However, the ear piece that hooks onto your earlobe would occasionally fall off, now I have a small ear which was probably the problem.
The VOX feature that I can use on my two-way works pretty well using this headset. It will pick up your voice almost everytime within a tenth of a second, and agian, transmit everything 'loud and clear'. Be careful when whispering those things other people aren't supposed to hear ;) it will pick up EVERYTHING. Whoopsies....
I would highly recommened this item for any type of "irregular" use. As far as using it in the car, or however else, I do not think it would be my first choice because of the bulkiness, etc.
The clarity is an A+, the price is an A+, the receiving earpiece gets an A, and the ear piece itself, well a "B" for falling off my ear.

My wife and I purchased this product to use when bicycling with Motorola T5950s. This was our first experience with mic/earphone combinations, and we've been very pleased with it. The sound is very clear and easy to understand and we've had no trouble with the device staying on our ears--even though my ears are much larger than my wife's! We've also found them to be quite comfortable--even after two hours we haven't noticed any discomfort. The only negative we've noticed is that there is a 1/2 second or so delay before the VOX (voice activated transmission) kicks in, so we have to start each transmission with an "Aaaa..." before we speak to activate it. That's a function of the radio's VOX, though, and not a problem with the mic/earphone!! My buddy and I use the Motorola 56320 earpiece & boom microphone several times over the past year. We use them in conjunction with Motorola VOX capable walkie talkies. They are fairly comfortable and work as advertised.We do have one small complaint. You wouldn't think so but I could argue that the cheap 10 cent microphone windscreen is this product's most important component.
I found this out the hardway. The windscreen is not secured to the microphone by any adhesive. Over time the fit gets loose, and it keeps falling off. When this happens it is only a matter of time before you lose it. We use ours to comunicate while bike riding. Without a windscreen, the mike constantly keeps openning and closing, regardless of sensitivity settings.
Trying to buy replacement windscreens is near impossible. We searched high and low, and could not find anything afordable. We settled on a piece of a replacement foam cushion. It worked, however it makes us look like dorks! We finally caved and bought new headsets.
So do yourself a favor, before you use the Motorola 56320, take a minute and secure the windscreen to the mike with electrical tape or adhesive. If you don't you'll be kicking yourself after you lose it and recall this prediction!

Do not plug the headset when the radio is on. If you do that, then the radio immediately starts transmitting and does not stop no matter what you do until the head set is unplugged.
To use the headset, turn off the radio, plug in the headset, open the radio. When you do that it goes into VOX mode, it will start transmitting in about one second of your speaking. If you press PTT button, the VOX will be cancelled, and if you want to enable VOX again just turn off and on the radio.

I ordered this case to replace another one which was a full zip-up one. This case is exactly as advritized and very good. The corners extend past the Nexus just enough to protect it in a fall. The case is perfectly balanced as far as the ruggedness/flimsyness of it (it doesnt require any breaking in). The only two draw back I found was that the Powder Blue color I got shows dirt easily and the stylus holder is on the side of the cover not the tablet side, so when you go to put the elastic strap around it(that holds the cover in the open position) you have to put it over the stylus if it is in the holder. Not a big deal or hard at all just tedious. Also to note the color on Amazon's picture is not exact the case I got was more of a sky or powder blue.Pros

Also, the openings in the sides of the case are very well placed. No buttons/slots are covered, not even the tiny microphone hole on the side. Yet my Nexus 7 is still well protected.
I love the smartcase feature. It's a surprising addition for a case this inexpensive.
In case you can't see it in the picture (I didn't), there's actually some scroll writing in the bottom right corner of the front that says "Ayl". It's pretty writing and I think it adds to the case, but if you're a guy/tomboy you may not like it.
For the price, I felt it was a great purchase. I didn't expect the inside part of the case to be able to detach from the fold-over part (allows you to change it from landscape to portrait mode when standing it up) it's attached with velcro. I'm a bit nervous about the velcro holding up (not because of the quality, just because I don't trust velcro). Also, the case doesn't have any pockets/slots on the inside. Not really a big deal because there's nothing I would want to put in except a cleaning cloth.
Still, I highly recommend this case! Definitely worth more than the price.I've ordered other items from this seller and am very impressed with the quality and low prices. As my title says, I'm absolutely amazed at this computer. I had been watching these at BestBuy (the 500GB model) when they had them for $749. I would go into the store weekly and stare, swipe and play with it. Then I saw online, they had this model for $799. Again, being a procrastinator I didn't take the leap. Well, when I finally decided to, this model was sold out online. So I decided to settle for the 500GB and could not find them anywhere in the state. I went to BB and they did a search and confirmed none were to be had.Completely devastated, I started looking at other AIO computers but for the price, nothing could beat this Gateway. Yes I understand these are the discontinued models. But once you look at the 23" model, you can't settle for the smaller ones.
By sheer luck, I decided to check Amazon and before I knew it, I had it delivered to my house.
Set up was a breeze. It found my network, found my wireless printer and as of now, I can't kick my family off of it.
The touch screen is ridiculously sharp and crisp. The sound is great from the computer. This is exactly what I wanted and couldn't be happier with my purchase.
The only issue I've seen so far is with the wireless keyboard. I'm a fast typist so every once and awhile, it can't keep up or does some weird stuff.
This purchase is an absolute no brainer.
EDIT THE DAY AFTER:
I've noticed the keyboard acting really flaky. Double, triple and beyond on keystrokes or just not responding. It came with Duracell AAA good through 2019, so I don't know if it is a design flaw (the wireless receiver is on the back of the PC) or something else. Will wait to adjust rating downward based on other reviews if similar issues are reported.

Basically all these computer of this type by Dell, HP and Gateway and equally good and you get what you pay for in features. This is my first Gateway for my business and I was impressed with the exterior design and appearance over the equivalent competitor's models. I really like the lighted log on the bottom of the case. Nice touch. Everything just has a higher quality look and design. My next favorite is HP and my least is Dell. Also, I might mention that Gateway had the least amount of trash-ware and Ad-Ware installed on the computer. This saves a lot of time uninstalling these to get good boot performance.

So I did a little research online on the wireless mini keyboards and saw that a few of them offer the same features, bla blah blah...so being skeptical, I decided to go with the Hausbell, 14.99 you cant go wrong...if its a bad product, I just lost 15 bucks, if its good, I will buy it for my other systems at home...the other mini keyboards go for around $25-$45 dollars so from the get go, I was not expecting much from this...I received the order in about 1 week with free shipping and tested out the first day I got it. I was shocked how well it works. I haven't tried the other mini keyboards, but I dont care for it as:1)the price is half of what the others cost
2)its does the job...It does all that I want a mini wireless keyboard to do.
That is all...I dont write much reviews...but this is a steal for the price. XP and Windows 7 is just plug and play , no driver installation needed. The key baord is big enough so you can type with minimal mistakes. There is a reason why this product is getting all 5 stars..it works well..it works really well for the price.
I especailly like the pad...on the let side, you can navigate the mouse, on the immediate right, is a cool scroll feature...Any issues, I will try to update here.
They are very inaccurate, once I press an special key (alt, shift, control) it will not work but also wont release it, for example: if I press ctrl-c to copy it will not work, will not paste later, but if I press F it will fire the find function (as pressing control-F).
Normal keys (letters and numbers, etc.) simply stop working for no reason, fr example: I turn it on, logon to a web page, then later (without pressing any special key) when trying to write again, normal keys wont write, worst: turning it off and then on wont fix it.
In a letter inside package the seller or manufacturer offered "a USD$10 gift" if I give it 5 start feedback, now I understand why, be aware of positive reviews.It works on everything I've tested it on: Antique Dell 370 with XP, Raspberry Pi with Openelec, and a new HTPC with Win 7 HP. If my toaster was web-enabled, I believe I could control that, too.
Pros:
1) It just works!
2) Excellent battery life.
3) Comfortable, rounded edges.
4) Very light-weight.
5) Excellent RF range.
6) Multi-mode operation (once you figure it out).
7) Firm (almost too loud) button clicks.
Cons:
1) The touchpad has a grainy, almost sand-papery texture. You'll either llike it or you won't.
2) The LEDs are too bright.
3) Extremely sparse documentation.
4) Automatically shuts off after 30 seconds to conserve power (I keep my left thumb on the Fn key). With the battery life this has, it's really unnecessary. Also makes the Charge LED rather pointless.
Other thoughts:
Obviously, it's not perfect. If you're have RF range problems, think I-Phone. The most difficult media for RF to penetrate is water. Your body is predominantly water. Try holding it differently. If I cup it with both hands, the range falls off drastically and the keyboard gets squirrelly. But while I was giving it an initial charge, it paired up with the dongle from 60-odd feet away through a brick wall. I'm looking for the firmware. If/when I find it, I'll post a link here. If someone else finds it first, I'd appreciate the same. Just a few tweaks and this thing would be a five star item.
EDIT: I just couldn't resist, so I took it apart. It uses a trace antenna that's on the extreme upper-left as you're looking at the keyboard. I wanted to know what the pinhole in the lower-left was for. Some similar models must come with a microphone. There's a place molded into the plastic for one, but no microphone.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this over the candy-bar style. Unless you just want a laser...
HI-TOUCH 640PS Photo Printer
We use the Hi-Touch 640PS as a stand alone printer to make 4"x6" prints directly from SmartMedia cards. This is a Dye Sublimation printer that lays down each color (CYM) and a clear protective coating in four passes of the paper through the printer, which is very cool to watch.All printer funtions can be accessed through the attached hand-held controller and the navigation is very easy to follow.
The print quality is very sharp and the colors come out correctly, with the exception of black. Since it uses the 3 colors on the color ribbon cartridge to make black, it is not a very "deep" and dark representation. Still, it is acceptable for most uses.
Recommended for those needing a fast, stand alone printer (it can be connected via USB, but I haven't used it that way).
The Joy Factory SmartFit3 - Snap On Case for iPad 4th/3rd/2nd Gen - Smoke (CSA102)
This fits perfectly on my ipad 3 rd generation. I like that it is clear and doesn't add much bulk to the feel of the ipad. My only complaint, now that I have had it for a few weeks is that the corners have already become cracked. But I suppose that's to be expected, appears more cosmetic at this point, the cracks don't weaken it or keep it from clinging to the ipad.
Enter the Joy back. Thin, hard, fits perfectly and is barely noticeable yet protects the back of my iPad from dirt or scratches or dents.
And the item is well priced.
I have now had the Joy back on my iPad for several months and have no complaints. Happy I found this product on Amazon's web site

I really loved this product, I'm the begging. It totally works perfect with the Smart Cover. The only problems I got with it is that it gets scratched really easily. Mt main concern is that it started to crack near the corner. I had to get a different case after 8 months of having this product. I purchased the SmartFit (smoke colored) for my iPad2 and was very happy with it. Still am. That said, and because of my past positive experience, I bought the SmartFit3 (clear) for my new iPad (4th Gen). Within two weeks, the corner edges cracked with tiny pieces breaking off, making them jagged and uncomfortable. I didn't abuse the iPad4 or drop it, and I didn't apply any stress to the case. It seemed odd, given that it fit so well, and I compared the clear SmartFit3 to the smoke SmartFit, and it seems the plastic material on the smoke version was a bit thicker then the clear version (seemed thinner, more delicate). I could be wrong being that I just eyeballed it, but that's the sense I got. Anyway, I've very disappointed, especially because of the very good price, and, ultimately, I removed it from my iPad4 because the jagged corners actually cut into my hands. Love it!!!!, I thought it was just a case where the phone slid in and to use it you took it out. No, this is an actual case, the phone clips in just like the plastic one and to use it you flip the top open...but its Leather! Really well made and looks great! Takes 3 weeks to get it but, HELLO, it comes from Hong Kong. Its SO worth the wait! LOVE IT!!! If you want something not everybody and his brother has, these cases are the ticket. They look very profesional and I think I might need another one in a different color.
Ectaco C-Pen 3.0 Handheld OCR Scanner Portable with USB Cable
I have been using the C-Pen 20 scanner since 2007. I teach university classes and engage in research, and this scanning "pen" is a great convenience. It is light, fast, and easy to use. It speeds up note-taking incredibly. With a small light in the tip of the pen, I just run the pen across type that I want to record and the text is automatically scanned into my word processing document. It is very accurate, but not quite 100%, so I need to watch and correct some of the text. It only works on standard typefaces, so italics, underlining and hand-written notes tend to confuse the scanner. Still, using the scanner is far faster than typing notes by hand. A button on top of the scanner serves as a hard return or a mouse click, and several functions can be programmed onto an optional menu / pad. The C-Pen plugs into a computer's USB slot, and does not require a separate power source. It comes with its own software, and updates are available from the C-Pen web site.As a final comment and recommendation, I will say that the C-Pen did not come with a carrying case. Since the C-Pen is all-plastic, I bought a large eye-glass case which is just the right size for the C-Pen and its cable. Now I put the C-pen in my computer case or brief case without worrying about it being damaged.
If you do a lot of note-taking or transferring information between documents then you owe it to yourself to give this a try.
The product support, on the other hand, is basically unexcusable. It can lead to some fairly serious frustrations (don't buy this if you use Mac!), but when they changed the software or I changed my machine, I always managed to get it working... in the end.
You have to learn how to create the best conditions for the pen to work. It is never going to like old books. It prefers white pages with black type. It won't work in a sunny or well-lit place. Learn how to position the scanner on the right bit of text and what speed and angle to use. This is not rocket science, it just takes a tiny bit of patience. There are some horrendous reviews of this product, and I wonder how many were written very soon after buying it...
If you do these things, it will scan most text pretty well. You need to keep an eye out for typos, but I reckon it is still a lot faster than typing.
Be careful with it, though. I had mine for two years, and some rather rough treatment (it went everywhere with me) resulted in the USB connection breaking inside the pen. I am going to buy a new one now and keep it more carefully.

I help out with paying bills for a non-profit organization. I don't get paid or anything, so it's kind of nice to not have to spend more time than I need to doing that. As it's important to me to enter details in the records, I tend to enter a lot of data in a transaction, and then there's just the mass of data that has to get handled when processing credit card bills and the like. Though I've had trouble scanning MIRC and the more squared off fonts, the OCR is pretty good. It can get tricky with the tiny fonts that appear on some bill summaries, but one can often compensate by learning how fast to scan. The button on the scanner that acts like a tab is incredibly useful: scan, click to next field, scan, etc., without having to keyboard. I find the software features a bit lacking. It seems too tedious to switch modes that do things like filter out $ signs and comma's from monetary amounts when the application doesn't accept those characters in a numeric field. The feature works, but sadly, I find it easier to manually delete than to switch back and forth between text scanning and filtered number scanning when processing a lot of transactions where you have to go back and forth between scanning modes. Scanning whitespace can terminate the OCR and I find that annoying. Even with the difficulties, if the one I have breaks, I'll be getting another. It saves a heck of a lot of time.Save 26% Off

I'd been trying to find a decent screen protector for a while and purchased this one. Yes, it goes on without bubbles and, yes, it prevents fingerprints and smudges. Unfortunately, it also dulls the sharpness of the screen quite a bit. I thought I could get past it, but honestly, if you can't enjoy the sharp visuals on the iPod Touch, what's the point? The magnet inside the keyboard couses Nexus going into sleep mode.Once you remove the top silver plastic, you can find the magnet on the other side of the plastic.
Remove the magnet, snap the plastic back in and voila.

I want to give everyone a heads up. Most importantly, the inside of this pouch in ALSO leather, NOT cloth or microfiber like you would think. This is a very nice looking pouch and it has a quality build, which makes me question why PDair doesn't offer any protection on the INSIDE of the pouch. That's a huge deal. Overall 3 stars for build quality, would have been 5 if the inside of the pouch offered protection.
