I'm sure glad I hesitated, because shortly after, JAVOedge introduced a line of flip covers, including one in brown tweed JAVOedge Tweed Flip Case for the Barnes & Noble Nook Color Latest Generationand this one in a charcoal fabric cover. I chose the stone charcoal since the black faux leather/suede interior matches. I really like the Fleur design also, but my son will borrow this sometimes and the stone charcoal is more gender neutral.JAVOedge Fleur Flip Case for the Barnes & Noble Nook Color (Red) Latest Generation
I love everything about this case! With the JAVOedge flip design, the NookColor is protected on all 4 sides, but it still leaves access to power/volume buttons and headphone/charge plugs. The flip stand is very handy and keeps my hands from getting too tired from holding for long periods. I use it on the table, or propped on my lap when on the sofa. The front cover, which is nicely cushioned, flips over behind the device out of the way making it very comfortable to hold, in either portrait or landscape position. And there's a pocket for a business card with contact info in case it gets left behind somewhere (important now that I take it everywhere.)
The case is sturdy and now I don't worry about damaging my ebook. The magnets hold the cover closed tightly, but not too tight, without any straps getting in the way. I've read that the magnets are not damaging to the NookColor (hope that's right.) Now I don't hesitate to put it in my purse or tote or tossing it on the seat next to me in the car. I highly recommend this cover!first off, i bought this used off amazon in very good condition for 25.00$. free shipping. things i like : not to bulky but affords nice protection. the vertical kick stand is nice, but you can also rig it so it can stand in a horizontal position too. in my case, the nook slips into position a liitle to easily, so it can slip out if you are not careful. the speaker cutout only is open if the kick stand is in use, so for my purposes it is not that effective since i rarely use the stand. if i paid 35.00 for it, i would have given it 3* rating.

I've had my Nook for about a year, but since I don't take it anywhere, i.e., out of the house, I didn't bother to get a cover. However, I recently changed my mind, did a bit of research, and purchased this. Wow! It's quite pleasing aesthetically, and it makes the Nook So much easier to hold (if I want to actually hold it; now I can simply prop it up if I wish). It's well made and fits my Nook perfectly. I'm so happy with this, I bought two more to give to family members! This thing is just exactly what I needed. It protects the NC, works as a little stand, which you might come to love more than you ever expected, and is just a quality product, even down to the detail of the little pocket where you can store notes or a screen cloth.Want JAVOedge Charcoal Flip Case for Barnes & Noble Nook Color/Nook Tablet (Dusk) Discount?
I bought a nook color a couple of months ago and quickly found that in the Florida air, the rubberized back gets frustratingly sticky after a few minutes of holding it, and started looking for a case. I really liked that this flipped over the top and that it could prop up.When I received it, I was more impressed than I expected to be. The case is very high quality, well made, with good protection for the nook and perfectly placed cutouts for the headphone jack, charger, and buttons. It feels very solid and secure. I've often had trouble with magnetic closures on things when I just shove them into a bag, they usually come apart, but this case hasn't done it once yet.
The business card slot is great to leave your contact info in (is it too trusting to think someone might actually return it?) or to stick a reminder or quote in, and the larger pocket is a great place to keep a little microfiber cloth for the screen.
All in all, this was better than I expected when I ordered it, in every aspect.
