Yaesu Vertex/Standard Horizon CT-91 Speaker Microphone Adapter

It works like it's supposed to. No complaints. The cord is long enough to connect to my other items, and having the two plugs separate, gives me better options for connecting other audio devices.

This is a well made and reasonably priced handheld mic adapter for select Yaesu radios. This allows the use of non-Yaesu mics with a VX-170 or FT-270R.

I bought this Speaker/mic adapter to be able to use my VX-7 with other brands push-to-talk microphone/earpieces. It doesn't work.

I've tested two brands: Motorola talkabout mic/earpiece fits, I can hear but I cant transmit. A Trisquare XRS mic/earpiece doesn't plugs completelly (its 2mm longer) and cant hear, as it continuously transmits.

Does what it is supposed to do, good fit, seal, and connection. Cable is a little stiff if you happen to live in Alaska and are using it at -40, other than that, great!
