The place I work at has open office policy. One can stand in one corner and see everyone's computer screen. This filter is great for giving privacy from certian angle. The reason it is not rated 5 is becuase my screen is still visible from wide angle. But it blocks most of the side angles. It has a nice hue from the side. I have had many people do a double take when they walk by me. Everyone thinks it is fancy due to Golden hue.

Overall, I am satisfied with this filter. Another great product from 3M.

Bought this screen & been using it for over a year. Quality is good however, IMHO its a waste.

Viewing angle are quite accurate when the claim 30deg.. it is.. unfortunately it is not suitable for my use.

The Glare is unbearable does come in hand if u want to keep an eye who is sneaking up on you

Great product. I have had a few people tell me about how amazing this screen is. Initially i didn't want to front the extra buck, but I am so happy I did. Supreme privacy and style. The only downside is the not so pretty way of keeping the screen against the monitor screen.

This privacy screen works better than the regular screen. It provides much better privacy and clearer image as you are viewing the monitor.

I would definitely recommend this for anyone who deals with confidential information or needs privacy when using his or her laptop.

PROS:

+ beautiful opaque gold color when "out of range" (reminds me of solar visor on astronaut helmets)

+ easy installation (instructions below)

CONS:

expensive in absolute terms

only one person can look at laptop screen at a time

installation tabs may take away from the "sleek appeal" of the laptop

INSTALLATION:

1) clean laptop screen with microfiber cloth

2) tear apart installation tabs at perforated area

3) remove backing from the long tabs

4) put one long tab on lower-left side of laptop and one on lower-right so that they hang over the edge where the laptop screen starts (there should be some room between where the tab hangs over and the laptop screen this will be where you fit the filter)

5) put one short tab on upper-left side of laptop and one on upper-right so that they hang over the edge where the laptop screen starts

6) put one short tab on bottom, left side of laptop and one on bottom, right so that they hang over the edge where the laptop screen starts

7) slide filter between the space between the tabs and the screen BEING CAREFUL NOT TO SCRATCH YOUR LAPTOP SCREEN

8) (optional) put one short tab on top, left side of laptop and one on top, right so that they hang over the edge where the laptop screen starts

9) enjoy your new-found privacy!
