I hesitated to buy this product because another reviewer said it left scratches on their iPad. Because only one reviewer left that kind of feedback, I figured it was a defective product and ordered mine with confidence. I tried it out on the "side" of the screen at first to see if it would scratch. When it didn't, I thought I was in the clear. Mindful, of this products one negative review, I was very careful to use a light hand with stylus each time. I've used the stylus less than 15 times for short periods of time over the last two weeks and last night I was looking at my screen (iPad turned off, in direct light) and I see all kinds of scratches all over my iPad where I've been using the stylus.If I could give this zero stars...or negative stars, I would. I cannot figure out why in the world a manufacturer would sell a product that so badly and immediately ruins the surface of very expensive electronic screens it is expressly designed to be used with.
I paired it with a Moshi iVisor on my iPad. My iPhone has a Zagg protector and I personally don't like the feel of the stylus on it but I don't really use the stylus on it, only if it's already in my hand.
A week of use and I've had maybe two or three skips which could very well be due to the way I write. There's very few scratches on my protector, and the ones that are there can't be seen when the display is on. The protector I'm using doesn't seem to interfere at all. A lot of people have complained about something getting trapped under the disk and then scratching their screen. Not sure how because when something's under my disk I can hear and feel it. Just wipe it off and it's good to go. I use mine for notetaking in class and it does great for me. I prefer handwritten notes to typed ones but I also hate having mistakes on my notebook pages. Digital writing lets me have the best of both worlds because undo's are pretty easy!
As for the noise, I think it depends on your writing style. For me, it makes the same amount of noise as a regular ball point does so I don't see the big issue. No, it's not silent, but I've never used a pen that was silent either. It's definitely quieter than typing on a keyboard, that's for sure.
I strongly recommend this stylus. It feels like a real pen and writes like a real pen. I'm very happy with my purchase and won't soon be buying something different.Just so you know, if you are reading this before ordering, the cap is SCREWED onto the packaging so it has to be unscrewed to get it out.

Update 2+ months later... I LOVE this thing! After fixing the initial skipping discussed below, I have not had any skipping problems and still no scratching! This is one of those things I love so much I would buy it again, just because.

`Yes, I have only had it one day so I haven't had the scratching problems yet (and hope I never do!) but, I did have the skipping problem within about an hour.....ARGH!!! But, rather than having my usual knee jerk reactions, and returning it unloved, I decided to ask for help from the company. I got this response this morning...did it and all is well again! YES!!! No more skipping, and all that was necessary was cleaning the disk! (the old fashion way, I licked it...shhhhh, don't tell)
Here is the "official solution" from the company.
"I'm really sorry to hear about that issue you ran into with your stylus! Skipping and loss of functionality can actually be caused by one of several different issues here are a few suggestions that may help though:
1. The disc's surface should be cleaned with a tissue or soft microfiber cloth.
2. Taking the disc off and blowing into the socket can remove dirt.
3. Polishing the Jot's metal ball tip with tin foil can remove micro-corrosion affecting conductivity.
Generally we don't recommend the thermal paste method you mentioned, because it can potentially damage the plastic disc on your stylus and make the problem worse in the long run. Thermal paste can also contain tiny bits of grit that can scratch your tablet's screen (thermal paste is roughly the same consistency as toothpaste, if that gives you an idea).
If the suggestions I mentioned above don't work, you might just need a new disc for your stylus issues with the contact detection skipping in the way you're describing are actually not a symptom of a problem with the entire stylus, just the disc."I purchase this stylus to use with my Iphone 5 an Ipad.
It worked well...I hope the replacement tips are available.I love this tool. I know exactly where I am marking. It is very precise. Yes, it needs to be cleaned occasionally and it need a relatively clean surface for accuracy but that should be true for any thing we value!

There's not much that can be said about a memory card. It works or it doesn't. Remembering the saga, 'buying cheap and paying twice', too well, I chanced on the largest Memory Stick Pro Duo available. I have not regretted my decision after using it with my Sony DSC-W100 digital camera.The 8,1-megapixel photos are written to the stick so fast that I never wait before taking next photo. I took about 500 8,1-megapixel photos and about 5 minute video before the stick became almost full.

Although the product looks OK and I guess it should work OK, I haven't been able to make it work yet as Belkin has no driver for Pocket PC 2003 yet ! When I contacted the technical support, they said that they had no date for release of a compatible driver !!Better purchase another bluetooth adapter if you are running Pocket PC 2003.

Perhaps at one time someone had a work around for this card but if it's still out there someplace I sure can't find it anywhere any longer in 2008. If your ppc still running 2002 you're fine but Belkin never released a driver for this guy for 2003, supposed to be the same as Dell's truemobile 300 but I've had no luck making it work and on a toshiba e805 your second issue is a bluetooth stack because there doesn't seem to be one built in on the us version of this pda. There are two versions of this card, version 2 has squared corners and that one works with widcomm drivers and stack but this version doesn't. I'm returning it can't find a way to get it working bought a sirf III cf gps instead, a shame because I already have a good bluetooth gps but the american 805 has only wifi no bluetooth...agggh don't believe the other reviews because if the stuff is still out there to make it work I sure can't find it. In Aximsite there is a Guide to use this card with PPC 2003 ( named "Bluetooth CF card for $20") and works.. but not all functions.This is the problem with this solution :

myGear Products Anti-Microbial Screen Protector Film for iPad Mini - (2 Pack) Anti-Microbial
I purchased this screen protector as an alternative to the significantly more expensive Power Support HD Anti-Glare film, which I understand is produced in Japan and may be subject to delays due to the situation there.For the money, its a pretty good deal: two films for $15. Installation is pretty easy, and I was able to squeegee out any bubbles successfully with a credit card. Note that my envelope did NOT include the advertised squeegee in the package.
Functionally the film leaves something to be desired. My screen is definitely protected at least the portions that are covered. It is short by 1-3 mm at all of the edges I realize this seems small, but it ends up being a surprising amount of uncovered real estate. Given how early I purchased my iPad 2 it is likely that the film I received was an early production run and later runs will fit better I'll leave that to another reviewer.
Glare from the sun or lighting is definitely reduced, but at the expense of screen clarity. The textured film, which reduces glare,also creates a tremendous amount of noise on the screen itself, such that it is sometimes painful to read documents for long periods of time. It is functional don't get me wrong but you definitely notice it, even after several days.
The film also collects fingerprints much more aggressively than the naked screen does, in fact. Because of the texture it is also somewhat difficult to clean I have had to use my heavier microfiber cloths and a bit of moisture to remove oil left from even recently washed hands.
Overall I have to say that if you get what you pay for then the myGear film is a deal it does protect, and it does reduce glare, but the tradeoffs on screen clarity and finger smudges are expensive ones.
It totally ruined one of the great features of iPad, so I removed it immediately.
I guess if you use your iPad mostly outside under direct sunlight, this might work.
But if you use it indoor, it is just waste of money.

I was really hoping that this product would have been easier to install. Yes the instructions are simple but the squeegee tool (cardboard) can actually scratch the protective screen as you try to get all the bubbles out and smooth it down.Anyway, the price is good and you get 5 screen protectors, but you do get what you pay for.

I have been looking forward to a unit like this, and I was excited to get one when I found it, but...
POOR PLACEMENT OF USB SOCKETS
After ordering it, I began wondering why it was arranged the way it was. For starters, what is that odd grey thing at the bottom? Well, that's for managing cords. Unfortunately, if I arrange the cords to wrap around it, they will end up being in the way of the USB sockets, making them hard to access. Similarly, they put two special sockets at that end that have extra space around them for plugging in transformers ("wall warts"), but using them often covers the USB sockets. And yet the USB charging sockets are the unique feature that you're paying the extra money for!
If they had put the USB sockets up near the switch, they would have been away from all the sockets and the cord management device, and never blocked by the larger AC plugs and cords. Too bad they did not make locating the USB sockets the priority in the design.
DIFFICULT WALL MOUNTING AND OTHER DESIGN ISSUES
The unit has a curvy shape instead of rectangular like most others. That might even be attractive if it was not so bulbous, but it makes it difficult to mount on a wall and be level. They provide no drilling template for the holes on the back, so you need reference points, and the curves of the unit make it very difficult to measure. In the end, I was not satisfied that it was solidly mounted, so I drilled a hole right right through the thin plastic just past the cord management device, and put a screw through that. That probably voided the warranty, but at least it is solidly mounted.
If you mount this device on the wall, it appears to be intended to be mounted vertically, at least, it would be natural to have the letters oriented to be read that way, and the switch on top. But why then is the cord on top, when sockets are usually close to the floor? Form over function, I guess.
INADEQUATE USB POWER
Here's the real problem with this device. The box says that each USB socket provides 750mA. That isn't very much power. The USB 2.0 specification call for 500 mA per port, so that's ok, but the USB 3.0 specification requires 900 mA, so it is not up to spec. It is enough for many telephones and mp3 players, but not some Apple products. Example: an iPad requires 2000 mA to charge, so you will NOT be able to charge your iPad from a USB socket with this power strip. There does not seem to be a fuse; unless there is some auto shutoff circuit, there is some risk of damage to the power strip electronics if you try.
CAUTIONS IN USE
You should always plug a power strip directly into a correctly wired and grounded (three-wire) wall outlet, and not another power strip or extension cord, for fire safety reasons.
You should NEVER see the "Not-grounded" light lit up. If you do, it could mean faulty electrical wiring that could lead to a fatal shock (call an electrician and get it fixed), or it could be a faulty unit. Similarly, you should always have the "protected" light on; if you don't, contact the manufacturer and ask why not (probably a faulty unit, or not plugged in/turned on).
One review said their unit buzzed or hummed when they used the USB socket to charge a device. That would indicate a faulty device which should be replaced; mine is totally silent in operation.
BOTTOM LINE
USB charging sockets is a great idea, but this unit has a poor arrangement of only two of them, and they are relatively low power. Yes, it works, but it is inconvenient to use, it is expensive for what it is, and it does not provide enough charging power. Given the price, design, inadequate power, and difficulty to mount, it rates three stars: "It's OK".
Soon there will be imitators, and some that will have much better designs and features. A simple power strip that includes USB outlets placed in a convenient location and can be mounted easily would be better than this.
Until then, if you want to mount things to a wall to tie things down and control clutter, my suggestion is to simply buy a regular power strip and a cheap powered USB 2.0 hub. Even if you don't connect the hub to a computer, it will still charge your devices, and the combination will cost you less than this overpriced and oversized thing.

Just got this case to replace another that did not work out. I am really pleased with this one. Out of the package, the odor is very slight. Unlike my previous case, the charger opening is not blocked and I am pleased that the camera lens and the screen edges will not be covered even if the Kindle shifts. The tab that wraps under the Kindle includes Velcro, so even that is not likely to be a problem. This is the first tablet case I have had where there is a strap to slide your hand under. Thoughtfully designed, this strap is lined to one edge, which allows for a separate area for papers etc. Handy. A previous owner mentioned a problem with "slippage", and I agree. However, I think that the reason that this is so noticeable out of the box reflects the manufacturing choice to make the "binding" edge soft. With most cases, this is stiffened with cardboard that bends and weakens with use. Then it gets soft and weak and the tablet slides down anyway. With this case, the flexible binding edge flattens in your hand, which provides a narrow profile in your hand. I prefer it this way, especially since you do have the band to help out. I don't know if this is really leather, but at least it looks like it MIGHT be! I don't know how you could do better on a case, especially at this low price. Good deal!
1. It is Vegan Leather, which means its not real leather. However, this particular imitation leather is VERY good. I can't tell the difference by looking at it, or by touching it. Its also soft to the touch, which other leather cases are not. Further, it does not have a formaldehyde smell which is a good thing. And even though its not real leather, its grips just as good or better than real leather! 6 Stars.
2. It can stand up in portrait mode. With a few folds of the Origami cover, the front part of the case folds around and creates a prop or "kick stand" in the portrait view. This is great for reading Kindle Books! You can also plug in the charger in this mode. 5 stars.
3. It can stand up in landscape mode (two angles). If you like movies like I do, you can watch them the way they were meant to be watched in Landscape! The "kick stand" works for this mode too. There are two viewing angles in this mode which is awesome! 5 stars.
4. Low stand support. Have you ever wanted to type on the face of your Kindle? Use this mode to lay the Fire down at a slight angle and you can not only view the screen, but you can also type on the face. Further, in this mode, you can plug in the charger at the same time. You can also watch movies in this mode as well. This mode is especially helpful if you are using the Kindle Fire HD as a movie player when hooking up to your Big Screen (with the optional HDMI cord); because the HDMI Cord AND the charger can be used at the same time in this mode! 6 stars.
5. Its magnetic closure keeps it closed. The idea here is that if the Kindle falls out of your hand, the cover will stay in place, covering the screen and the delicate glass from being damaged.
6. When you close it, it makes the Fire go to Sleep. This is a new feature on all the HD Kindle Fire units. But not all the cases make this function work. Basically, when you close the case, there are sensors in the case and the kindle fire which make the unit go to sleep thus saving battery power. 5 stars.
7. The fit is excellent, holes are accurate. There are cutouts for every port on the unit: HDMI Out, Charger/Sync, headphones. Also, there are cutouts for the side volume buttons and the on/off button. 5 stars.
8. There is an elastic pen holder for use with a Kindle Fire Stylus. 5 stars.
There is nothing wrong with this case! Its clearly the best on on the market for me. And the price makes it a steal compared to other cases. In my opinion, if a person purchased this case AND the Amazon case, you would be covered for every need. Again, the Amazon case is a good one if you want a very slim protective case. But for pure function with protection, the Roo Case Origami is the best on the market in my opinion.

Still the best case I have ever owned for the Kindle Fire HD 8.9. I've purchased a total of four cases, and will be sending back two of them. This case, and the Amazon case I am keeping.This case is definitely my favorite, because it not only functions very well, it is fun to use. There are several ways to fold it to set the viewing angle.
Pros:
Built-in magnets hold the cover tightly to the kindle fire HD 8.9. No need to snap, zip or fasten anything. Just flop the cover down and it hold fast.
While closed, a hidden magnet turns off the device, saving battery power. A cutout on the side make finding the nearly fluch power and volume buttons much easier (my biggest gripe about the fire HDs is it is very hard to find the power and volume buttons. This solves that issue, although with the magnet on/off when closing, you never need push the power button again anyway. But it sure help guide you to the buttons for volume.
Folding is easy, although the diagram is a bit hard to follow. Look at the pictures here and you can pretty easily figure it out. The magnets ones again come into ply, holding the various folds together for extra stability.
Cutouts for the speakers, camera, power and volume buttons are perfect. Another set of two cutouts let you get access to the HDMI and USB/charging ports.
There is great protection of the glass front of the kindle. One layer of simulated leather totally covers it. A second rim inside the border recesses the screen. If dropped, this extra space keeps the more fragile glass further from the floor. Although I refuse to drop test mine, I feel that it would survive a drop easily in this case. Even if the outer cover was folded back, that rim should protect it from anything other than say a knife point hitting the glass. The case also extends outward along the sides, to ensure the "leather" is what hits the ground first and not the kindle.
Cons:
The cover is a bit floppy when folded flat on the back of the kindle. This makes it a bit harder to hold this way, but you can easily reposition your finger under the cover and grip it that way.
Best case I ever bought, and a great price.If I factor in the price, this is a good case. It leaves all of the ports open for use, seems to be well made, wakes the tablet from sleep when opened, and is fairly thin. If you are just looking for a case that prevents scratches, this case will do.
However, here are some things I don't particularly like: The case is not all that sturdy. I don't meant to say it won't hold up, which it seems like it well. However, due to its thin design, the term I would use is floppy. While I wanted a thin case, I had hoped it would be a little more rigid. When holding the tablet to read or play games, the cover which is folded under tends to flop around and just feels awkward. The holder for the stylus is on the backside, which does not seem like the ideal place for it. If you have the device charging and the case in typing mode, the cover puts pressure on the micro-usb port, which I don't feel comfortable with. Since the case was as cheap as it was, I will likely store it away as a backup, but will probably not use it much for the reasons listed.Arrived today. It has a slight odor, but as it's out of the package it is starting to lessen. I hope it goes away completely. My kindle hd fits snugly and securely which is why I have a cover. The auto wake/sleep function of the cover works as listed. I put the cover in the two viewing modes and it sat well in a bed. All the ports and camera are open for use. My listing is 4 stars is for holding it with one hand like the photo. As the cover flap closes with a magnet, when the case is open the two sides do not seal. If you try to hold it one handed on the seam side the weight of the kindle makes it impossible to hold as it flops around. If the two sides could be latched together it would be secure enough but as it is you can only hold it one handed on the open side by holding both kindle and cover. I know this kindle is heavy, so if you don't plan on holding it one handed this case would work well for you! (or flip it upside down when you want to change hands).

The battery arrived totally damaged (broken). Also, the seller states that the battery is brand new. When I called about this issue, they told me they only sell used batteries. They need to change the product's description.Although I received a refund for the item, I think they need to improve their method of selling
Only downside of this battery: if you use the self-photo mirror on the battery case for taking self-portraits, the mirror on the case is not as reflective as the mirror on the original 8525 battery case. It is essentially worthless for self-portraits; not shinny enough.
