JBL Duet Speaker System for Portable Music and PC - White (Pair)
The bass response is the biggest surprise. It's natural-sounding and open, not stuffy or forced, yet it has a surprising amount of punch for such small speakers, without being the slightest bit "boomy". To my ears in my listening environment, they have an amazingly smooth frequency response across the entire audible range.
In case you think I'm kidding, I usually mix on a pair of Genelec tri-amped studio monitors whose price tag was more than 100 times that of the JBL Duet speakers. On several occasions, I've opened GarageBand or Logic Pro 7 to record a musical idea and ended up doing a rough mix, forgetting that I was listening to the Duet speakers rather than the big monitors. At low levels in a near-field application (...sorry, that's audio geekspeak -for all you normal humanoids who don't have the audiogeek mutant gene, that means the speakers are close to you...like on your desktop), these little speakers are surprisingly accurate.
I've owned my Duets for almost one year. I loved them so much that I immediately bought extra sets for my kids to use with their iPods. For the money, I've never heard anything better. My thanks to the folks at JBL for creating such a terrific speaker at such a reasonable price.

Let me preface by saying I consider myself an audiophile but not an annoying music snob or superior techie geek. I am into technology just enough to get the sound quality I want and I'm willing to pay handsomely for it. I previously had Klipsch 2.1 for my computer until my speakers blew out and have Grado SR80s and Sennheiser SR100s for listening to music in my room and a pair of closed Sennheisers for travel.Having said all that, now that I'm a student and spend most of my time in front of a laptop or else studying, my main criteria for speakers became PORTABILITY, portability, and more portability.
I wanted something light, easy to set up, easy to throw in a bag and travel with, and not nearly as expensive as my Klipsch 2.1's but with a comparable sound value for the price.
I was going to go with 'the other' pair of portable speakers that is popular on Amazon but picked the JBL's for their bass and the fact they were specifically designed to reproduce a 'bigger' sound for their size.
I am REALLY IMPRESSED and VERY HAPPY with my purchase!
Cons:
These aren't as sleek or portable as 'the other' pair. These will NOT fit comfortably into most laptop bags and while they are small and light, with their shape they will fit awkwardly in an overnight bag.
Also these are NOT usb powered so require more cords, which I hate. However, this means you don't need a computer to listesn to your MP3 player and makes these speakers truly portable speakers for any source with the typical mini plug. And they are portable sized.
Pros:
But the sound? The sound is GREAT! I listen to a lot of bass heavy electronica and these are PERFECT. The bass is NOT muddy and the sound quality overall is clean and rich for small speakers and they differentiate tones very well.
Comparing apples to apples, these are an awesome pair of small speakers and good value for the price. These will not shake your walls, but if you want that, don't be a cheapo and invest in a pair of real speakers.
I just listened to a track I had heard many times before on my laptop speakers. On the JBLs with the volume up I was able to hear a lot of new details -I didn't like the details and erased the track. Thanks JBL for helping me clean up my music library!
Perfect for you AND your housemates:
Also, I have 2 roommates who are light sleepers and this is PERFECT. The sound is just right for me sitting at my desk but the sound does not travel through the walls or door. I don't know what the technical term for this is, but someone else mentioned these are not 'loud' enough for group purposes.
For a home office, dorm room, and solo use, these are a perfect pair of portable speakers with a small footprint.

If you have to run the power cable next to other power cables, which you likely will, you may find that you get a loud buzz when there is no music playing. I believe this is due to improper or inadequate shielding of the power cable. When the speakers are playing audio, the sound is great, but when they're not, the buzz is fairly nerve-wracking.
So, if your speakers can be wired away from other computer cables, these are good speakers. But if you need to run the power cable near the other cables, you may get a buzzing sound.

For the size and power level, these speakers sound quite nice. But it seems as though they are not properly shielded. They produce a constant soft 60 Hz buzz that is rather annoying in a quiet environment. When my new speakers arrived I thought they were defective and exchanged them for another pair. But alas, the defect seems to be in design rather than manufacture since the replacement pair buzzes as well. If I were in an environment with some ambient noise, like an office, I might not be bothered. But in my quiet home study the buzz is quite irritating.Sony Ericsson Mobile Classic Leather Case ICE-25
However, beware of slips. While fastened to the belt, it tends to slip and fall off the belt. Mine did after 3 weeks of usage, fortunately WITHOUT the phone inside, so I lost the case but saved the phone. A friend of mine had the same luck, but with the phone inside. Not a good fate for such a nice phone.(2008 HOLIDAY TEAM)This black leather case fits my W580i phone perfectly with a stiff, velco clutching encasement. The clip is wide metal and takes a firm grasp to your belt or pants. One of the most secure clips I've seen for a phone case.

This phone case looks good and the phone fits nicely in it. The belt clip is terrible, it keeps falling off, I can see me losing my phone. I wish someone could make a nice case with a good clip, that's all I ask for.Read Best Reviews of Sony Ericsson Mobile Classic Leather Case ICE-25 Here
looks good. w580i fits perfectly inside..it would have been given 5 stars if it was a magnetic flap, instead it is a velcro flap.Want Sony Ericsson Mobile Classic Leather Case ICE-25 Discount?
This product is well finished and it looks good.It has protected my phone on several falls.
I purchased two and gave one to my dad.
The Velcro has ripped off on mine, which didn't get me happy.
(I do use it a LOT).
My dad's on the other hand, still looks like New.
I would say, buy it. It's a good product.
Be gentle with it though.

the Genius Color page sf600 scans in good speed and takes very little desktop space. The image on the page is wrong and this is why the previous customer thought he received the wrong product and had to return it. I can scan jpeg and convert it to pdf format. Pretty handy. Scans letter size document too.Read Best Reviews of Genius Colorpage-SF600 Sheet fed Scanner Here
Physically seemed like a nice piece of hardware but it simply didn't work. Installed the drivers from the web rather than the disk so I would be sure to have the latest version. Seemed to install properly and asked me to do a calibration after install. Since the calibration ran fine I assumed install was correct. When I tried to scan I got images that looked like digital noise. Tried multiple times with the Digiscan software, omni page, and with the Business card reader. Never got anything but noise. Tried to call tech support but they were closed. Software seemed cumbersome anyway. Decided to just return it. Am going to try the Fujitsu ScanSnap 1300. More money and larger but hopefully will work better. Scanners aren't rocket science and they aren't new so I don't know why they shouldn't just work right out of the box.Want Genius Colorpage-SF600 Sheet fed Scanner Discount?
I looked a while for a sub $100 compact scanner for my desk. (I already have a big expensive bulky flatbed I drag out of storage and use for slide and serious image scanning.) I wanted to use this to get all those everyday loose papers and receipts in electronic format and trash the paper and eliminate paper piles. As described the unit is compact and powered by the USB cable so it has a minimal footprint on your desk and doesn't consume an outlet. Along with the provided software it has two hardware buttons you can preset for one touch scanning. I have one set to scan as OCRed PDFs and the other to scan jpg. You simply press the button and it scans according to the buttons presets. You can also manually scan and use software button presets. It pulls the items right on through at a good pace and they display in the supplied scan/document management tool. From there you can sort your scans as you desire.
I did have to cajole the driver a bit to install on Windows 7 but I finally got it installed (So don't give up)
For under $100 I could not be more pleased with the performance and options.

I bought this case since I had a Toshiba Thrive and needed something to carry it around in as well as to view it. The rotating feature was a big selling point to me as well as the free stylus pen. When I received it I was disappointed to see that the stylus pen was about the size of my pinky. The 360 degree rotation is accomplished by physically taking it off of the velcro attachment and then reattaching it in the upright position. Not spelled out in the description of the item. I was under the impression that it just rotated on a pivot point. The material it is made out of is a vinyl and slippery so you will need to hang on to it with a tight grip. Coincidentally, I received an email offer two weeks later from another merchant who was offering a similar product but with locking tabs, charger, free battery, docking station and screen cover for $19.95!!! Oh well, the merchant was nice enough to give me a $5 credit. Word to the wise, Amazon is not the cheapest nor the place best to shop, especially when the product does not meet your expectations and you have to pay return shipping. In the future I will only do business with merchants who offer free returns since I am buying a product, sight unseen.Black and Grey Premium Executive Leather Protective Book Style Portfolio Cover Case for Sony PRS-95

SanDisk SDSDB-64-A10 Secure Digital 64 MB
The SanDisk 64 MB SD card for your PDA comes in handy as a place to store documents, programs, photos, and games you don't use daily but want nearby.
Just plug it into your memory slot and save over to the card. It's that easy. Also, you may want to consider a program like "Filez," (there are others) which will help you determine which files are on the card. Two kids and a dog. I can't help but carry pictures of them to show them off. Photos take too much memory, so I purchased the card and put the photos on it as well as PDF files and reading materials. It's great not to clutter and slow down the PDA with these files that are housed on the card. Only complaint is that it's slow to load the items on the card.
Whenever I go to my photos, it takes longer to get them loaded than if they were on the PDA's memory. But, if the photos are in the PDA itself, then it uses up precious space.
I just used it with a card reader that I bought and the reader read the files quickly. It's small and lightweight -easy for people to lose and misplace. But, I keep the card in except for when loading its data into the card reader.

kit works well for motorcycle installation
also. I installed this on a Suzuki
Bergman 400. The SkiFi fits in the
glove box well. It adapts to a Bluetooth
transmitter also well. This transmits to
a bluetooth wireless receiver in my helmit.
I now enjoy XM on the motorcycle on the way
to work.It works. It doesn't do anything more than it was made to do. Can't say much else about it. Delphi makes good radios but the accessories are cheaply made and they don't last long. I should have bought two of these. I'll be needing another one eventually. UPDATE (Nov. 18, 2007): The antenna connection has come loose and the unit will need replacing. Well, at least I got a year out of it.

The kit came with everything needed including a mile long antenna wire and a variety of mounting adapters (which I threw out and made my own from a small piece of .060 aluminum). I use the cassette adapter which works well. On the PRO side is that the unit is portable so I use the same radio/subscription in my office, at home, and in my wife's car. The only CON is that you need a fair amount of patience and creativity to neatly manage all three wires so they are mostly hidden. If you take your time to install the adapter where you can easily see the display and operate the controls, you will be very satisfied.Read Best Reviews of Delphi SA10102 SKYFi2 Vehicle Adapter Kit Here
After I got this installed, it works great and for the money, was a great deal. The installation instructions are pretty pathetic and I was only able to complete the installation succesfully, because I was able to look at another vehicle in which we have one installed. The only other thing that I don't like about these cradles is that the mounting options aren't very good. I ended up having to mount it on my vent, which restricts the heating and cooling air flow in my vehicle. But, I do have my satellite radio in every vehicle now, so it was definitely worth it.This was purchased for a replacement for a Skyfi cradle that went bad. Great price. Smaller ant. Should have bought 2.rooCASE Ultra Slim (Black) Leather Case Cover Cover with Stand for Acer Iconia Tab A100 7-Inch Andr
I don't use it that much, but you won't be let down from description. This case fits the A100 very nicely, and snugly, all cutouts for buttons, jacks & cameras are properly positioned. With the internal Velcro closure, you won't have to worry about the tablet shifting around in the case. It doesn't add much thickness to the tablet...but that also means the materials are thin, so I question if this case will live up to long term abuse. The inner lining is a suede-like material, and while it is very soft, it also picks up dust, lint and finger oils pretty well.
The stand feature is a bit of a nuisance to set up the cover folds back on itself, and you have to fight with prying up a small & very stiff tab on the back side to hold the cover in place. Once that is accomplished, you have to try to 'flatten' out the now folded crease on the cover, to make it sit flat. This does not always remain solid & stable.
As others have pointed out, there is no magnetic or other type of clasp to hold the cover down against the screen when closed, so you do have to pay attention to that easy for it to accidentally flip open on you when putting it in a bag or purse.
For $10 or so, it's a half decent custom fitted case, but I wouldn't pay much more than that (or anywhere close to the list price).Very poor quality, feels and looks very cheap, should be sold a flea markets. I do not recommend this product, very poor for the price.
Ritz Big Print Digital Film by Lexar Media - Flash memory card - 64 MB - CF
The BigPrint 64MB Big Print CompactFlash Card, like most 64MB cards, will store on average 71 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 53 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 32 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 25 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 20 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.
I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this card is the right capacity for your specific needs.
