This is a great case. Nice rubber and for all the way around the phone helping protect sides and screen. Saved $$$ buying it here as opposed to the $15 they wanted at a nearby kiosk.

PalmOne IIIe Handheld

PalmOne IIIe HandheldUnlike people who were "already happy" with their bulky organizers before purchasing this product, I had been wanting a Palm for quite some time. Therefore, the expectation bar was raised.

Now that I have the product, the bar was met! Some questions you may have about Palms:

1. How do I enter data? One of three easy ways: with a small pen which you use to write directly into the Palm Pilot; with a pop-up keyboard; or you can enter information on your computer and download it onto your Palm Pilot.

2. Is it hard to learn? The thing I found most amazing about this is how easy you can learn it. Usually something as robust as this product has a high-learning curve. However, that is not the case here.

3. Can you play games on it? Hey admit it, we all thought it was pretty cool when we found out we can play games on it. I have about 12 games on mine (and it takes up hardly any space at all). Now all those boring lines at the bank, airports, and sitting in doctor office waiting rooms are but a memory. ;-)

4.This one is cheaper than the others, should I buy an expensive one? That is up to you. I personally don't need to store 1,500 appointments, 6000 phone numbers, etc. I'm just a guy who likes to have things organized. This product does that and lots more. I think that one of the top-dollar ones would be overkill (at least for me it would).

5. What's the coolest thing about the product? I personally like the fact that there are literally hundreds of thousands of *FREE* programs that you can download onto the Palm Pilot.

If you are the type of person who likes to control his or her scene, I strongly urge you to purchase this product.

Although this unit lacks the spacious memory capacity of most of its siblings, the Palm IIIe packs in most of their features and is an excellent entry level device to experience the convenience and fun of PDAs.

The sturdy unit easily slips into a pocket. The screen is sharp, and the adjustable contrast and backlighting options make it readable in most light levels, although it can be tough to achieve a balance in low light conditions. Two AAA batteries power it for a surprising amount of time (but extensive use of the backlight feature drains them fairly rapidly). File management through the palm OS is easily configurable, and the unit is very responsive. The Graffiti writing system can be learned quickly, and the on screen keyboard and number pad are readily accessible for those tricky characters.

I wasn't organized prior to receiving this device as a gift, and I must admit that I'm still not. The included address book is very usable, and the ability to beam "business cards" to other palm pilot devices via infrared makes it easy to record and keep track of colleagues' contact information. The day planning software, with it's configurable alarms and repeat dates is also very handy. The Palm Desktop and Hotsync software intelligently backs up data and files from the handheld unit, and schedules entered on your computer through the software are automatically updated on the device. Macintosh users take note, the included hotsync cradle terminates in PC cords, so you'll need to by the adapter to convert to Macintosh serial or the USB kit for newer Macs (both should be available on Amazon.com). If your machine is IrDA compliant, you can hotsync via infrared, but you will need to get some preliminary files on the unit through a cradle hotsync or beaming to do so.

One of the strong points of the whole Palm line of PDAs is the overwhelming number of third party applications (shareware, freeware, and high powered commercial programs with trial periods) that are available online through a variety of web sites. These files range from classic board games to old books in a Palm document format to graphics and spreadsheet programs. Free online services, such as AvantGo, even download user selectable web pages to the unit upon hotsync for review on the bus or while waiting in a line.

To learn of the variety of tasks that this device can perform, I encourage new users to check out online resources and books such as David Pogue's "Palm Pilot: the Ultimate Guide. (2nd Edition)" The book includes a Macintosh/Windows/Linux CD-ROM loaded with software for the Palm, and even though many of the programs have newer versions available, the breadth of the material covered in the text (and links to the software developer's websites on the CD-ROM) make it a worth while purchase.

Those interested in protecting their investment may want to investigate the reasonably priced extended warranty options available directly from Palm Computing (including a screen replacement program and a one year extension of the warranty).

Although I will likely upgrade to a unit with more memory for storing programs and files in the future, the Palm IIIe has served me well. Overall, this device is an incredible value for its price!

Buy PalmOne IIIe Handheld Now

I have heard a lot of people tell me not to get a Palm IIIe because it is not the smallest Palm model out there. . . This is a straw-man argument. I got a Palm IIIe and it is GREAT. 2MB or memory is not much for my desktop, I have 256 MB of RAM and 30 gigs of HD, but for my Palm Pilot, this is more than I will ever need! Don't waist your money on more expensive models, unless you are planning to write a dissertation on your palm pilot, and a lot more, it will hold it all with PLENTY to spare. As far as size, it is the exact size as most other palm models, and it is VERY portable. Someone said that it is visible in a sport coat, well they need to trim down a few pounds then, or buy a coat that fits. Not only do I keep mine in a sport coat pocket, I keep it in the smaller pocket on the inside left of most of my coats. I wear a 39 Long so the pockets are smaller than most coats anyway, and trust me, you can't see or feel it. The Palm IIIe is a Great buy, and a heck of a Palm Pilot, no upgrade is needed, unless you want to connect to the web with no wires, then get the Palm Vii and pay $44 a month. Hope this was helpful.

I agree that the IIIe is a good value. The built-in applications are both easy to use and flexible. It is simple, for example, to display all your memos, or just those to do with work, or just those to do with personal matters.

I found the display plenty easy to read, and the software set up quickly on the computer. I found its handwriting language easy to learn. You do need to make sure, however, that you have a spare serial port on your computer; I had to install a new one, and that turned out to be a pain (so much for Plug and Play). I have had some problem using the synchonization eith Netscape e-mail; I needed a new MAPI32.DLL file, and the synchonization isn't set up well for using multiple Netscape configurations.

There's plenty of software out there for purchase or simply for the downloading. I found a very handling shopping-list program that I wouldn't do without now, and I'm trying out a checkbook program. But my favorite toy so far is AvantGo Web browsing software. It really does work. And games play reasonably well -my kids keep wanting to play them. But don't expect the crisp, active-matrix game display of a device made for that purpose.

The 2 megabytes of RAM seems to be plenty. Even after loading the IIIe up with e-mail and AvantGo (half a megabyte including downloaded Web pages) I still have nearly half the memory left.

The IIIe won't upgrade, but from what I've seen most of the software out there will run on 2.0 (my IIIe has 3.1). By the time I need an upgrade it will probably be time to buy a new organizer anyway.

The main negative is the outrageous price for peripherals. A modem and keyboard together cost more than the unit itself.

Want PalmOne IIIe Handheld Discount?

I usually don't like PDAs, because I remember all the appointments and I use my cellular to store phone numbers, that's why I only bought a IIIe. I figured if I don't like it, I'll be able to sell it quick. Well, now I can't live without it ;) Not only do I have all my phone numbers and adresses on it, but the programs you can download are so many and most of them are freeware, I now use my Palm IIIe all the time. I don't think I'll let it go, I would prefer to keep it and buy another Palm with more memories, but not right now, I'm using only half the memory of my Palm right now, I still have time ;) And now lots of my friends are going to follow me and buy a Palm :)

I bought this to use with my Dell Duo. The stylus itself is nice if you don't feel like tapping the screen with your fingers, but the string is odd to me. Yes, you can "plug" it into your comp, but the only good this does is to keep it from getting lost when you're not using it at all. My stylus came with a cord that was about an inch long, so it's impossible to use it while it's attached. I was hoping that I could use the cord feature while traveling so that if I happened to drop the stylus or need to put it down quickly, it wouldn't get lost. That's just an adjustment that I'll have to make myself.

I love this stylus with the Dell Duo. Initially I was skeptical about getting a stylus because I thought it would scratch the screen of the laptop, but the soft tip on this stylus is great. I would highly recommend this stylus with the Dell Duo.

I bought this specifically to use with my Dell Duo and Audio Station. I am tickled with its effectiveness when attempting to use the Duo's touch screen. I have big fingers and when attempting to target the x key or any others it becomes a work of art to place that chunk of protein on the exact spot. Now, with the rooCASE is is pure accuracy. While of zero importance this stylus is ambidextrous. No big deal to many but it is to me and I appreciate it. The little tip is soft enough not to scratch the screen but hard enough to complete the entry. I really like the lightweight of the stylus which provides function without excessive pressures. I seldom use the pocket clip; however, it sure helps when we travel together and I do not want to store the stylus inside the Duo. The addition of a little dangling thing on the top makes storage on board the Duo a nice part. Expect this stylus to work on other that the Dell Duos. Bottom Line: A great addition to an already great machine. The quality of the construction of the rooCASE is so good that I expect to have it longer than the computer unless I lose it.

2.4GHz Handheld Mini Wireless Keyboard with Air Fly Mouse

2.4GHz Handheld Mini Wireless Keyboard with Air Fly MouseI was close to returning this item because it worked very bad on the beginning. It was registering very few of my keypresses and the air mouse functionality was very choppy. Then, I realized that the computer's wifi is interfering because both wifi and this device use 2.4 GHz radio frequency. Then, I used the USB extension cord for this device's receiver and the device works much better. The air mouse works very smoothly and most of my key presses are registered (I would say 19 out of 20). I tried using the arrow keys in games and the experience wasn't so good with that I would not recommend this device to be used for playing action games where every millisecond counts just because sometimes the keypresses do not register and you lose. So that's all about connectivity issues.

I also find it a bit hard to enable the air mouse. Most of the time it works when I press the middle button 4 times. Sometimes that doesn't work and I have to keep trying or press it 2 more times. So it can take 5-15 seconds just to enable the air mouse and it gets disabled back after a few minutes of not using the device.

So 4 stars out of 5 because the device mainly gets its main job done just that you might need to be a bit patient sometimes.

rooCASE Dual Station (Black) Leather Case Cover with Stand and Elastic Hand Strap for Samsung Galax

rooCASE Dual Station Leather Case Cover with Stand and Elastic Hand Strap for Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 GT-P7300 GT-P7310I loved this at first then quickly realized that it made my tablet too bulky and the edges around the front of the case were too close to the edge if the tablet making it hard to touch the edge.

I wanted to find a case similar to the leather Bear Motion case my husband uses for his IPad2. After lots of searching I settled on the rooCase Dual Station for my new 8.9 Galaxy Tab. When it arrived I wasn't certain I had made the right choice because it wanted to tip over when used in the upright landscape view. However, after a couple of days I had trained the leather to fold back close to the bottom edge of the tablet such that the "base" is about 2 3/4 inches wide. The tablet is now quite stable. The case has one small magnetic closer clasp built into a corner of the leather which I really like. I am extremely satisfied.

Decent cover for the price. Stands up well to my four year old. Has Velcro closure to help ensure the computer stays in case. A bit difficult for a kid to set it up in the stand setting. Also annoyingly enough, you have to have the case open to charge the computer.

eForCity Black Leather Case Cover Compatible with Amazon Kindle 3 / Keyboard

eForCity Black Leather Case Cover Compatible with Amazon Kindle 3 / KeyboardI just purchased a Kindle 3 (keyboard) and wanted something to protect it when it was laying around or in my bag. I also found that in certain ways the kindle is a little awkward for me to hold since it is so thin as compared to the grab area around the screen (maybe my fingers are just too long or something). Plus I do sometimes drop things so I wanted to make sure even if I was using the kindle it would have a little protect if it slipped. This cover accomplises all that and for a cheap price.

Now this thing isn't going to win any fashion show but it looks ok and seems solidly built and protective. The stiching is ok, you can see the locations where things were started and stopped and such thats why no fashion show but the stitching seems to be strong with no loose ends. The material is pleather and you can tell but not in a bad way. In fact at a glance its not much different than the more expensive brands. It is definitely worth the super cheap price. I may have been willing to pay $9-$10 but I definitely wouldn't have paid $15.

The flap is held closed by a weak magnet in the flap and attracted to a bit of metal under the cover leather, neither can be seen. It holds fine even when flipping it around besides I don't really want a strong magnet near electronic stuff. The Kindle is held in by a full edging of leather with cutouts for the buttons and keyboard. Yes the top is open so you can slip the Kindle in but mine fits nice and snug and passed the shake out test. My Kindle didn't budge. So I think it is nice and safe. You may stretch the leather a little and loosen it up if you take the kindle in and out but I don't see the reason to do that. The space around the keyboard is sufficient to reach all of the keys. It is a little close near the joystick button area but not a problem. I do much prefer this way of holding in the Kindle than the other case that only use the four corner bands. Those would probably be better if you are going to take it out of the case often but since I plan on leaving it in its nice little home I want it secure.

Finally I like the slightly thicker feel of the Kindle in the case. It does add a little heft but not really noticeable unless you are looking for it. I feel that the Kindle is much easier and comfortable for me to hold now that the thickness has been increased. I will also say that I purchased from Eforcity. I'm not sure if it makes a difference but reading other reviews it seems like others had other experiences with their cases with different closures etc. The only reason I tried them was from another good review and I hoped it would be the same experience for me, which it was. Your mileage may vary but I figured I would mention it since there are several different sellers listed.

All in all I would say it isn't perfect (hence the missing star which I deliberated) but you won't find anything better for such a low price and in fact in many ways I feel this case would give the more expensive ones a run for their price. (maybe I should have given the 5th star???) Definitely would buy again and recommend to others.

Researched for a bunch of covers, very much satisfied with this one !!! Pretty much worth the price Nice product.

This was a better product than I expected for the really low price. It works just fine, fits onto my Kindle perfectly. The magnetic closure tab can be folded back out of the way when using.

Though it wasn't as costly as many others I looked at this Kindle case makes my little reader look important. The tablet slips in easily from the top and won't fall out. There are cutouts for the screen and keyboard, of course, as well as access at the bottom for the on/off switch, USB port, etc. A clever magnetic tab holds the case shut and will even hold it open if the front flap is folded back around. There is no light but the case is thin enough for one to clip on. Having bought it and used it I'd easily buy this case again.

JAVOedge Tweed Book Case for the Barnes and Noble Nook Color / Nook Tablet - Latest Generation

JAVOedge Tweed Book Case for the Barnes and Noble Nook Color / Nook Tablet - Latest GenerationVery classy looking case. Well padded, and the NookColor slides into a snug sleeve rather than elastic straps. Comfortable to hold, and the magnetic clasps are secure. Fabric is great quality, and the leather inside and out is a very nice dark chocolate color. Very pliable, too. Would recommend this to anyone looking for something that looks professional but doesn't scream "expensive gadget inside, please steal me!"

I like this case it feels very nice, and pads the nook color well. I could do without the extra pockets, which do not make the hold comfortable when front is folded back. I think it is well-made and holds the nook color snug without covering any buttons.

Buy JAVOedge Tweed Book Case for the Barnes and Noble Nook Color / Nook Tablet - Latest Generation Now

I previously bought JAVOedge Tweed Book Style Case for the Barnes & Noble Nook First Generation. I was really happy with the quality and styling of my previous purchase. So I decided to buy another tweed cover for my Nook Color.

The Nook cases sold at Barnes and Nobles were not to my liking. Their price range was a bit iffy too. I wanted a stylish, professional, yet affordable case for my Nook. I know that neoprene and leather cases for ebook readers are a dime a dozen. They all seemed boring, generic, and common.

But this product from JAVOedge caught my eye. Wow! The tweed and faux leather combo gave the case a contemporary and eclectic look. I love the magnetic closures; soft interior lining; complete access to all ports; pockets for business cards, ID, and extra memory cards. Quality and finish is amazing. The case is sturdy and gives my Nook the protection it deserves. The fit is very snug.

I highly recommend this.

I love this case. It holds my Nook firmly but gives me access to all buttons and the sync/charge port. The tweed feels nice in my hand, and the Nook actually seems lighter when it's in the case. I know it isn't, but the case balances it better than when it's "naked."

The quality is good, and I expect it to last a long time. It doesn't add much bulk, and using it makes it feel like I'm reading a paper book.

Everyone who sees it likes the way it looks.

Want JAVOedge Tweed Book Case for the Barnes and Noble Nook Color / Nook Tablet - Latest Generation Discount?

I take my recently purchased Nook Color around with me everywhere I go so I wanted a case for protective purposes. With their bright colors, puffy leather, and/or pouch-like designs with zippered or snap closures, most Nook Color cases look like they belong in the women's purses, wallets and accessories department which isn't good for a guy.

I happened to find this case during my search. Glad I did. It's a good looking cover that seems to protect my Nook well for now. Time will tell.

The cover is very nondescript. With only a tiny badge in the lower right hand corner, the gray tweed cover looks like a standard small daily planner instead of something expensive and electronic someone might be tempted to steal.

The Nook is held into place by a lot of leather not just a few elastic straps at the corners or a couple brackets at the top and bottom. All buttons on the Nook and the USB input at the bottom are easily accessible.

HQRP 1000mAh Li-Polymer Rechargeable Internal Replacement Battery for Palm T3 / M550 PDA + Screwdri

HQRP 1000mAh Li-Polymer Rechargeable Internal Replacement Battery for Palm T3 / M550 PDA + Screwdriver and Installation Manual plus PDA Screen Protector
  • HQRP 1000 mAh Ultra High Capacity, 3.7V, with Longer Runtime
  • Li-Polymer Rechargeable Internal Generic Battery
  • 100% compatible with original batteries and chargers
  • CE and SGS-ISO-9001-2000 Approved.
  • The Package also includes PDA Screen Protector; 200 days warranty.

The 1100mAh replacement battery from Osprey-Talon works well in my Palm Tungsten T3. I bought a used Palm T3 to use with the Pleco Chinese Dictionary software. Since it's a couple of years old, the battery life was pretty bad. This replacement battery fixed that.

The battery installation was tricky, but I found some good info online. The included instructions are not very useful because the photos are too fuzzy. It's better to search for "palm t3 battery replacement" and watch the video on YouTube. I found some good photos of the process on the SPUG forums and at pdainternalbattery follow the links from the Wikipedia article. I would include the links if it were allowed by Amazon's review guidelines.

The included phillips (+) screwdriver is necessary for doing the tiny screws in the T3. You'll also need a tiny slot (-) screwdriver to open the case, to remove the ribbon cable plug, and to remove the battery plug. A paperclip is useful for releasing the sliding cover from its track.

The screen protector is really nice. My T3's screen had some scratches, but the screen protector covers these, making the screen look perfect. You have to cut one side of the screen protector to make it fit the T3.

I carry my T3 around in this case. It works pretty well:

Fellowes DSU1HZBBP Neoprene Universal Pda Case

I hate the bulky charging cradle and AC adapter that come with the T3. I use this short USB charging and data cable. It works well for charging and sync'ing the T3 when it's still in the case:

EforcityData & Charging USB Cable for Palm (PalmOne) m500 / m505 / m515 / m125 / m130 / I705 / TUNGSTEN T / T2 / T3 / W / C /ZIRE 71

The T3 can read 2GB SD cards but can't write them. It can read and write 1GB SD cards. This one works well for me:

Want HQRP 1000mAh Li-Polymer Rechargeable Internal Replacement Battery for Palm T3 / M550 PDA + Screwdri Discount?

Great product at great price, prompt delivery, holding charge perfectly, big relief of the problem with my Tungsten PDA, could not wish for anything better.

Thanks to Amazon it's the only way for me to find anything I ever need in every imaginable application using their suggestions and users reaction to the product you are looking for and get new ideas for things you are not looking for at the time.

After almost exactly seven years, the battery in my Palm Tungsten T3 PDA would no longer hold a charge. Despite mixed reviews for the seller, Osprey-Talon, I picked their replacement battery for a grand total of $6. It was so much less-expensive than other replacements (which run $20 and up), I figured that even if it was a bust, I'd be out only a few dollars.

Though I have over 50 years' on-and-off experience repairing electronic equipment, I worried that disassembling and reassembling the PDA would be an exercise in irritating fussiness. To my surprise, it was remarkably easy. Just take your time and don't rush.

The reason I've given only four stars is that I have no idea of the battery's useful life. My experience with third-party li-ion batteries (for an Olympus E-500 and Yaesu VX-5R) was terrible, with the batteries failing just a few months after purchase. (In both cases, the original batteries are still good.) When this battery fails (which could be tomorrow or ten years from now), "I shall return" and let you know. Until then, if you see no addendum, you can assume it's still chugging along.

I am a healthcare provider and need a pharmacy app at my finger-tips at all times. I bought the IPaq because of the large screen area to read without squinting. I do own an iPhone, but

would not like to read my app on its smaller screen.

This batter gives me added battery life so I don't have to worry it will drain, like the smaller capacity battery will do. An added tip is to keep off the Wi-Fi or BlueTooth if you don't need to use this will save lots of battery.
