Soft, cushioning, and very colorful. It's easy to spot because of the bright green color, so finding it in my room and making sure it isn't someone else's is easy. It also can be used as a little cushion for the laptop if, say, you were using it outside on the lawn. However, for some reason, one of the outside pockets' zipper seemed to be inverted, like the tab was facing the inside. It also broke off, but I don't even use that pocket.
I purchased this case for my son's netbook. For its price I am very happy with it. I seen nothing substandard regarding its production; zippers seem solid; adequately padded. Glad I bought it and if it breaks I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.
