AT&T Wireless Pre-Paid Go Phone w/ Voice Dialing & Text/Picture Messaging

I bought this phone because I had poor credit and didn't want to pay a deposit. I bought this phone because it was a cheeper go-phone and seemed well designed. I had this phone for exactly [to the day!] 1 year before I lost it.

I had this awful habit of putting the phone in my jacket pocket, then running across the street. The phone would bounch out of my pocket and fall to the grown with a pretty hefty "THUD". Well, after the first couple dozen times of this happening, it would fall to the ground and, to my horror, break apart. By break apart, I mean the battery cover would come off, the battery would pop out, and sometimes the sim card would fall out. I'd put it all back together and viola! It worked perfectly! I can not tell you how many times I did this and it seriously never stopped working.

I dropped this phone, stepped on this phone, sat on this phone, threw this phone, and would keep it in my backpack full of books, and it -NEVERstopped working.

I talk a lot and would usually charge it every other day, though I could potentially go 4+ days if I shut my trap once in a while.

This phone is somewhat small, but does not feel fragile at all. It fits nicely in a pants pocket.

My only [tiny tiny] gripe is that there is no volume control, which is a smidge obnoxious.

HOWEVER!!! [keep in mind this has NOTHING to do with the actual phone] Go-Phone plans are NOT affordable! In order to get unlimited night and weekend minutes, you must get a plan that starts out at 46.00 a month [about, after taxes]. this is 400 daytime minutes [10 cents each]. text msgs are also 10 cents each. You also pay for data usage for mMode. THIS IS EXPENSIVE. Don't plan on using this recreationally else it will deplete your account very quickly. In order to download fun ringtones or pictures, you must use mMode. Just a heads up!

does this cell phone have activation, because id like to sell mine but its already activated

DOES THIS CELL PHONE TAKE SIM CARDS? I NEED TO KNOW BECAUSE I SERIOUSLY WANT THIS PHONE BUT I ONLY HAVE A CINGULAR SIM CARD!
