Palmone Tungsten TX/T5 Flipcas

Palmone Tungsten TX/T5 FlipcasVery snug fit, slightly cumbersone case. The worst part is the cheap plastic clip that broke a month after purchase.

I purchased the RhinoSkin Leather Flipcase for my Palm TX. I did some comparison shopping and found this to be one of the better cases around. It has most of the features I was looking for, such as protection for any open ports on the TX, a good fit and non-obstruction of the screen. Because I tend to put the case in my bag, I found the clip in the way, and if you don't attach the clip, the case looks like it's missing something, that's the only thing I, personally, didn't care for. Overall it's a great case!

I wanted an inexpensive case for my palm T/X. This one is great. It provides good protection for my pda. I refused to pay $35-40 for a case! Nothing fancy here--palm t/x fits loosely; but doesn't side out. Also, the cover is not on the side--so you can still hold the palm without the case getting in the way.

Does exactly what it is designed to do. Fits like a glove. GREAT potection.

HOWEVER:

It is supplied with a belt clip made of plastic. It connects to a very substantial metal stud on the back of the case. It looks very nice and should be useful. BUT... If you desire to use it and clip it on your belt, stand perfectly still. DO NOT MOVE. DO NOT SIT. SO NOT BEND. It will IMMEDIATELY break at the hinge on the clip that too is made of plactic approximately 1/16" thick. I was able to use it ONCE... Until I sat down in my car.

For weeks, I researched heavily for a good PDA case that would work and fit nicely with my Palm TX Handheld. I found this case, looked over the reviews with careful consideration, compare it with another case, and finally decided to order it. It didn't look so bad upon observation once I received it through the mail. It perfectly fits with my PDA and the part behind it that suppose to lock onto the additional belt clip doesn't seem to look that bad. Not as long if you care about it's looks.

Attaching it to my belt clips looks pretty good since it is easily accessable and it kind of gives you an impression of some of those gun holsters in some of those old western movies which that is pretty cool. Of course, in my opinion, it's a good idea to use it when your in friendly public places. Otherwise, someone could instantly rip it off your belt if you are in a really bad part of the neighborhood. So make sure you have it parcially hidden under your shirt to reduce it's vunrability to theft.

So overall, I guess you can say I like it. It provides good protection except for the case of dropping it. It can get in the way when using the arrow buttons but the only major downside, for me, is when you are using earphones. Since it's audio port is located on the top of the PDA, the cover flap that flips over the screen can't go down properly. So if you plan to use your Plam TX as a MP3 Player and as well as an organizer, I suggest you look for a good case that allows such use of earphones.
