This product is not for the xoom, it is for the iPad2. it even says iPad2 right on the packaging. I think the xoom part was an after thought. It is the exact width and height as the iPad2 which is shorter and wider than a Xoom. Yes the Xoom fits, but not well. The length of the Xoom is so long that it leaves the Xoom pressing tight upon the zipper and thus leaving little protection if dropped on the zipper end. Probably the perfect case for an iPad2, but for the Xoom it is not a good fit!
The sleeve appears to be well made. While I didn't test it out too heavily while my Xoom was in it, it did feel like the sleeve will provide a decent amount of protection from accidental bumps and drops. I doubt it would protect from a hard collision on the screen side without shattering, but for everyday events it appears to be fine.
Smell out of the box was mild, so that's a good thing too.
I'm not sure if I really received the correct product from the seller. But the one I received does work, so I do not plan on exchanging it.Good case nothing fancy but very functional. Case protects the IPad and is a good low cost option. I am pleased.Just received this case today and couldn't possibly be any happier, this thing will protect my tablet flawlesly, couple it with a screen protector and one of the harder gel back covers and you'll have a hard time damaging your xoom.
