This cover does exactly what I want. It offers some protection without being bulky. The only drawback is, the way you have to put the cover on, leaves the port for charging on the inside. Meaning, you have to have the cover open, in order to charge. It would be more convienent if the port was on the exposed edge. Otherwise, the cover has worked out well.
I actually like this one better then the kindle HD 8.9 original. I like the flip, the weight and the look. It looks like the new ipad cover. There is some space between the screen and the cover So I would imagine dust gets in easily. Well worth the money.

I was skeptical, but I love this case. It fits my Kindle Fire HD 8.9" like a glove, it's exactly as pictured. The standing capabilities works fine, but could be better (the only reason it's not a 5 star review), but I didn't purchase this for that purpose. I'm very happy with this!
