* It actually boots from my USB flash drive. You have to press F11 during the BIOS POST to select it. You can't configure the BIOS to boot from the USB flash drive by default. (I say "actually" because I have 3 other motherboards and they all fail to boot from the USB flash drive despite having 'boot from USB' support in the BIOS.)
* It seems to work just fine. I have had no stability problems at all with the default settings.
* Gigabit Ethernet, sound, and everything work ootb on Linux Ubuntu 12. With Vista it required the supplied driver CD and works fine too.
Con:
* It only controls a single fan. :-( I bought a case from Amazon that had 2 fans so one of the fans screams at full speed all the time. It's kinda loud and I feel bad about that. If anyone has a solution to that please post :-)I was looking for a particular mix of cpu, memory, and video card compatibility so i could use some existing components. Worked with no problems. Used with an ssd makes for a very well responding machine.

Used this to make up a PC out of leftover bits'n'pieces from older PC upgrades with an Intel Q6600 CPU and DDR2 memory. If I hadn't had the DDR2 memory a different LGA775 motherboard for DDR3 RAM and new DDR3 RAM would be cheaper than this motherboard and new DDR2 RAM, which now is extremely expensive due to dwindling supplies I presume. Shop around an d you might even get a better deal on an i5 setup.Read Best Reviews of ASRock LGA775/Intel G31/DDR2/A&V&GbE/MicroATX Motherboard G31M-GS R2.0 Here

My old motherboard died on me so I had to get a replacement and this one seems to do the job fine. I haven't had any problems with it yet and I like that it has overclocking for the cpu, I was able to bump my 2.4ghz quad 2 core to 2.7ghz.
