Mobile Mini Speaker, connects to iPod, iPhone, notebook computers, MP3 and portable CD/DVD players,

Mobile Mini Speaker, connects to iPod, iPhone, notebook computers, MP3 and portable CD/DVD players, hand-held games & more, Manhattan 161107I love these little speakers! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because it didn't come with an A/C charger (which is faster than USB) and the price is high. I chose the Manhattan brand because they have a lifetime warranty. I bought these in Manila, Philippines with an A/C charger for $4.00 and here the same thing withOUT the A/C charger is $18.50 by U.S. Mail. They have a really great, LOUD sound for such a small unit. They have a rechargeable battery so they are great for your Ipod or as I use it, for my portable XM Satelite radio XM3Pi.They actually were better than my Dell Studio laptop speakers for quality of sound and volume. You can plug it into your pc via USB for charging only and use the 3.5mm plug for the audio. DO NOT, I REPEAT ...NOT lose the cable because you can NOT find a replacement cable that goes from 3.5 to mini USB. Then the unit is useless. The older version had a 3.5mm plug on the speaker which allowed you to daisy chain multiple speakers, easily plug into the speaker and your unit providing the audio AND the cable was easily found/replaced.....the new one only has the mini USB connection on the speaker end.

I was amazed when I purchased this speaker. I bought it on the hope that it might work for classroom presentations. I was blown away with how well it worked. The volume fills a room and the sound quality is great! It will work for all my presentations away from home. In fact, the volume is better than with the previous speakers I carried, and I only have a tiny item I can carry in my pocket. I have shown this item to several friends, and they all want to purchase one. This is wonderful--unbelievable--fantastic!!!

The present mini speaker is not as good as the one previously ordered. The older model has a volume control and works superbly. The newer model does not offer a volume control; therefore, the volume is not satisfactory.

Me and Salim one of my very best friends did a comparation between all the speakers we bought and here they are in order of rating:

1JBL Micro Wireless/Micro II by far the best, it's an audiophile sound, top finish, it sounds like an electrostatic Acoustat model 2 which impress me in 1980 and gets

loud with the more extended bass of all.

2Kinivo sounds near the JBL in the hights tough not as flat in the mid bass, doens't get loud but for 20 buck is the best

3Old Manhattan with excellent clarity crisp hights to 15khz which is the top of my hearing weak bass but very involving sound and gets little loud.

4Rokono Bass plus mini speaker with crisp hights good bass, is not in second place because it got damage after one day

5iTour-Pop sounds neutral, crisp hights good mid bass but it doen't get loud at all, it distorts before satisfactory level

6Latest Manhattan not as near the sound of the old model ( what a mess ) hights roll of at 9khz weak bass though get little loud

7iHome iHM61 very well terminated but sounds roll of at 7khz weak bass and weak level

Another caveat is that it does'nt reach 2 hours battery playing at full volume.
