A Sony Z1WA laptop with built in bluetooth installation did not require any driver instalation.
Windows 7 beta 7000 64 bit installed without a hitch.
The only problem is that the mouse is a little slow and not as smooth as with the other wireless products mentioned below. I set the mouse speed very fast and turned off the "enhance pointer precision" option in Control Panel mouse settings and that helped some.
I have a microsoft wireless keyboard mouse combo and the Adesso WKB-4000, the range on the microsoft is very short, only a few feet. The Adesso is acceptable, maybe 10 feet, however sometimes it is shorter due to interference from other devices. Both have very smooth mouse movement compared to this Bluetooth keyboard (ASK-3962).I bought this keyboard to use on my Mac Mini / Media Center computer. I was looking for a keyboard that would be small, convenient and that would have a mouse/trackpad built in and give me basic functionality. I can tuck it away between the TV frame and stand so it is not so visible when not in use. You will need to pair it with your Mac and you do ned to use the USB Dongle that comes with it as the built in bluetooth did not seems to recognize the keyboard. Worked fairly well with basic functionality using Mac OS 10.5.8 and subsequently updating it to 10.6.2 a couple of days ago.
When first pairing this device, you need to open your bluetooth preferences and make sure you select the show status on menu bar (so you can tell when your keyboard is paired every time you turn the computer on). Then, select the "Set Up New Device." The Keyboard will be set up as a generic keyboard and most of the functionality will be available. You can find more info about pairing bluetooth devices on the mac if you refer to the help menu. It takes a few seconds after the computer is on for it to recognize the device every time you restart, you just need to be patient. I usually hit the space bar a couple of times until the bluetooth symbol changes status in the menu bar. The track pad is very sensitive to double clicks so you have to be careful when using it to scroll web pages using a double finger gesture. You will get used it eventually.
The keyboard also comes with two AAA batteries and It has a sleep feature to conserve energy. It also has an on off switch on the back but I have noticed that even by turning it off when not in use it seems to need new batteries every month. Zoom functions for universal access settings work well if you are sitting far away from your TV and want to zoom in to read small text. It is a bit pricey but as I said before I was looking for size and convenience more than anything. I am able to use the F12 key to eject disks and you will find that most of the function key commands work with the default settings provided by the OS.

The ergonomics are actually great. I'm a Thinkpad user, and Thinkpad keyboards are typically well respected. This Bluetooth keyboard ctually compares very well, with a nice amount of stiffness and travel, an easy contact point for no missed clicks, and no flex. The mousepad is very nice too. The buttons are angled along the lip of the handrest so that they're right where my thumb is. It's a good design.
The keyboard's a little heavy, and the keys stick up instead of being inset within its bezel, so I can't lay it flat against a tablet in a bag without letting the keys get pressed down.
But the battery life or lack thereof took me by surprise here. After two weeks I've already gone through two new sets of batteries. But that was without using the off switch. For convenience, the device really should put itself to sleep sufficiently.Seemed like a real nice keyboard. Very convenient for watching internet TV. Only problem was it stopped working after a week. Simply wouldn't turn on. I sent if back for a refund, so I'll never know if they are generally reliable. This product worked as advertised with good response, battery life, and nice appearance. I just could not get used to the keyboard layout. I use a desktop and a notebook, and I don't have time to miss keystrokes learning yet another keyboard. I returned it.
