Since my business requires me to be mobile most of the time, working out of my office which is the front seat of a Honda Element, I needed a dual power outlet to be able to charge both my Nexus 7 tablet in my Bionic smart phone. The tablet, mounted on a windshield mount and used as a standalone GPS device, is always on. This causes significant battery drain that will suck it down to zero in a few hours if not plugged in and charging. Even when plugged in on a standard charging port which I already had, it has a hard time keeping up. This dual power/dual outlet device solved that problem.

When the device is plugged into my power port it has a little blue light on it that tells me that it's making good contact. Useful information.

The best thing is that it has two ports, one of which is 1X (normal)power output and the second is 2X which has proven to be enough to keep my tablet topped up and ready to go all the time even with the screen on in the GPS running actively 100% of the time.
