For Sony PRS-350 650 950 Reader Wall Home AC Charger

This adapter worked for reading, but did not charge my reader. I threw it out. I wound up having to purchase one from SONY which works perfectly.

This charger has a micro-USB connector for connecting to the eReader. I ordered this item thinking it would connect to the charging port on my SONY PRS600-RC eReader. This charger does not connect to the charging port on my eReader, nor does it connect to the mini-USB port used for both charging and data transfer to my SONY PRS600RC eReader via USB connection to a PC.

The other end of the charger, artfully hidden in the photograph , is a micro-USB connector which is slightly wider but about half as thick as the mini-USB connector required by my eReader. (Even if I had been able to connect the charger to the eReader it would not charge any faster than through the USB cable that came with the charger).

The documentation for the PRS650-RC eReader describes the USB port as micro-USB, and the vendor assures me that this charger works with the SONY PRS-650. The documentation for the SONY PRS600 describes its miniature USB port simply as a USB port, but I connected the USB cable supplied with my eReader to a USB port on a tablet whose documentation describes its port as mini-USB, and concluded the eReader's port was a mini-USB port. In the product description, the vendor did not describe nor even display the other end of the charger. For my part, I was originally confused about both the model and USB port type of my eReader. Be aware.

This charger works so much better than the USB connection. Charges faster and even seems to last longer fo reading.
