rooCASE Neoprene Super Bubble Sleeve Case for Acer Aspire One AO721-3070 11.6-inch (Black / Orange)

rooCASE Neoprene Super Bubble Sleeve Case for Acer Aspire One AO721-3070 11.6-inchIt fits my Acer AO very nicely, and I'm not afraid of it bumping around everywhere in my backpack thanks to this case, but there's a major (minor, if you're just looking at a sleeve solely for the purpose of protecting your netbook)thing that bugs me out:

Yes, my netbook is glossy, therefore a fingerprint magnet, but for some reason, when I take my netbook out of the sleeve, there's always a bunch of dust and lint all over my netbook. This is pretty annoying, because I don't want the lint/dust/whatever going under my keys and causing some trouble. The netbook is already getting covered by fingerprints; I don't need the added lint/dust bonus.

Other than that, just looking at what it's supposed to do, it's very nice at doing its job. If it weren't for that little iffy. I think I actually like it more than the netbook itself.

CrazyOnDigital Kindle 3G 3rd Generation 3 AntiGlare Screen Protectors. Bonus wristband included

CrazyOnDigital Kindle 3G 3rd Generation 3 AntiGlare Screen Protectors. Bonus wristband includedI ordered these AntiGlare Screen Protectors at the same time that I ordered my Kindle. I almost didn't put them on because the Kindle in and of itself doesn't cast much of a glare, but because I wanted to protect the screen and put one on. I was really surprised how much more glare was cut. I'm really glad I did take advantage of this product. Oh...and, I only gave it four stars because I had a bit of a time putting it on just right. Not a big deal.

I was excited to get this product that sticks unlike the static cling ones. However, I was quickly frustrated by the poor installation instructions that did not show the film sandwiched between two layers with a sticker on each side. It appears that it is two layers with a sticker on what you think is the actual film that won't come off. I ruined the first one and almost the second trying to remove the sticker that wouldn't come off even with orange cleaner. It wasn't until I was trying to apply the second one and carefully trying to remove the sticker did it separate to show the hidden film that was the actual screen protector sandwiched between the two sticker backings. The third one applied with no issues to my husband's Kindle. I wish I would have read the other reviews before I attempted to install the first one to my Kindle. It was a hard lesson learned and a little pricey as far as screen protectors go.

I wouldn't necessarily call these screen protectors ant glare because they are glossy, but they do what they are supposed to do and keep the Kindle screen safe from smudges and scratches. These are pretty easy to put on and you can even pull it off and try again if it didn't go on right the first time. I got three and totally messed up the first one, but the second one went on great. Overall I give this a 5 star rating because it does what it says it will do: protect your Kindle screen :)

Had the instructions told me that the final product was sandwiched between 2 throw away layers, I wouldn't have gotten so frustrated. The 2 throw away layers have a tab on them for identification, and those tabs are stuck on with glue. Thinking one of the throw away layers was the final product, I blew up when I saw the glue wasn't going to come off without using Goof-Off or fingernail polish remover. Finally just by luck I saw the almost invisible middle layer and was able to finish the install easily. Communication is easily accomplished with better instructions.

This product really worked for me. I found that once I had it adjusted properly, there really was hardly any more glare than the kindle has anyway. The only problem I came across was minor dificulty adjusting the protector so that there wasn't anything trapped between it and the screen, in order to avoid bubbles. I was able to press any bubbles out, so now I can only just barely tell that it's even there. I can only see that it's there because of a slight line around the screen from the edge of the protector. All in all, I am really glad I bought this; it really helps a lot.

Panasonic BL-C210A Internet Security Camera

Panasonic BL-C210A Internet Security CameraBought this camera through one of Amazon's Gold Box Deals for $130. For the price, it's a great camera. This is my second Panasonic network camera. A few years ago I bought their BL-C1A model Panasonic Network Camera and Pet Cam (BLC1A). The BL-C210A is a much nicer camera. The picture image is several times better, especially when motion is involved. You have the option of pan and tilt to look around. You can disable the indicator lights on the camera that lets you know the camera is on. You can also disable or override the privacy mode button on top of the camera. You can configure the camera to email you a picture when it detects motion in your house. Now how's that for peace of mind while you're away? And my favorite is that the camera is powered through the network cable which eliminates the need for a power outlet near the camera. The camera has a threaded mounting hole in the back that can be used to mount the camera to a standard tripod or an optional wall mount. The cube design is nice because it allows you to just set the camera on a shelf or table. The camera is light, so a tug on the network cable can bring it crashing down if it's not secured.

There are limitations with the camera. If you want to view an entire room, you'll need to mount the camera in a corner. It can only pan 41 degrees to the left or right, 10 degrees up and 32 degrees down. The camera is powered through the network cable, but it doesn't support the industry standard PoE. Luckily it comes with its own power injector. You'll need to purchase two network cables to use this camera. One cable connects the camera to the power injector and the other connects the power injector to your router/switch. The cable between the camera and power injector must be shorter than 98 feet. The box says you can only view still images from a cell phone. The website says you can't listen to audio with a cell phone. I haven't tried either. The software works pretty good, although I have found a few minor bugs in it. You have the option of viewing multiple cameras on one screen, but the max resolution for multiple cameras is only 320x240 and not the 640x480 max camera resolution. You don't need a computer onsite to use the camera, but you'll need one to do the initial setup.

Panasonic has nicer cameras than this model, but the prices also get outrageous. $185 (current Amazon price) is not bad for one camera. But after you buy one, you'll want more so you can monitor the rest of the house. That's when $185 per camera starts adding up. If the price drops again, I'll definitely buy another.

Note: The zoom function is not obvious. There are buttons on the screen to do everything but zoom. I discovered you can right-click on the top half of the video to zoom in and right-click on the lower half to zoom out. You can also use the wheel on your mouse to zoom in and out.

Update (March 9, 2010): I did a little research on the camera model (BL-C111A) that the BL-C210A replaced. This camera has a larger CMOS sensor but the same resolution. The old model can pan 50 degrees to the left or right while this model can only pan 41 degrees. The old model can tilt down 40 degrees while this model can only tilt down 32 degrees. The old model had a 10x digital zoom while this model only has a 3x digital zoom. The digital zoom is not very good. If you have a need to zoom in on objects, you'll want a camera with an optical zoom. Some new features added are SSL data encryption for secure viewing over the Internet, power through the network cable, H.264 video compression, and the ability to operate the camera with some models of Panasonic flat screen TV's.

I bought another camera from Amazon to monitor the back door and kitchen area. It comes with mounting holes on the back of the camera so you can slide it down on a couple of screw heads. It frustrates me that you can't mount it flat on a wall and pan 90 degrees to the left and right. I ended up purchasing mounting brackets VideoSecu Ceiling Mount Bracket for CCTV CCD Box Body Pro Camera 2-6 inch Adjustable MCB1w 1A2 so I can mount the cameras in a corner. Again, I really like the ability to power this camera through the network cable. I have the cameras and my network equipment all plugged into the same UPS. This way I can still monitor my house in the event of a power failure. If you're looking for a camera to monitor the baby's room, this is not it. You can't see much with only a night light on in the room. You're better off with a dedicated baby camera. We've had good luck with a baby camera made by Astak Astak 2.4 GHz Pan & Tilt Baby Camera with 2.5" LCD Color Handheld Monitor with Night Vision. It can pan and tilt to see the whole room, can see very well in the dark even with no lights on, and comes with a handheld color monitor. The monitor eats batteries so we just turn it on when we hear something or want to check up on the kids. It also comes with an AC adaptor for continuous monitoring. Another reason why a baby camera works better for monitoring babies than this camera is that you don't have to fire up your computer in the middle of the night to see if your child is awake. A word of warning, many baby camera's operate on the same frequencies as your wireless network. You might need to play around with the channels on both the baby camera and your wireless network until they don't interfere with each other.

A year or so ago, we installed an Ademco burglar alarm which we found we could not hook up to a monitoring service because we had dropped our landline. There are services that will monitor your alarm system through the cell phone network but they are expensive. So I decided to make a project out of this. I would find a way to monitor the alarm system with zero net monthly cash outlays. I spent idle hours wondering how I might cobble together some homemade piece of equipment that can capture the alarm signal off the Ademco and fire a programmable event on one of our computers through a USB port or something like that. Tricky stuff. Iffy.

Then I discovered the fact that this ip camera (as well as many others) have e-mailing functionality. After a little research I bought a couple and they are now in service. I connected the bell circuit on my Ademco, through a relay switch, to one of the two open alarm circuits on the Panasonic and now whenever the Ademco sends an alarm, we receive an e-mail with an alarm message plus, as a bonus, a photo of what the camera is seeing at the time. When we get the e-mail, we can go online either with a computer or our cell phone and see what is going on in the house. If the situation merits, we can then call the police or we can ask the neighbor to peek over. This is intelligent alarm monitoring as opposed to the automated kind you get when your alarm system sends a signal to the monitoring station every time the system is tripped for whatever reason (I read that almost all reports sent to the police by these systems are false and are placed on low priority). I am going to document this system and send it to my insurance agent asking for a premium discount in line with the standard discount you get with automated monitoring. We have achieved our goal of a no-cost alarm notification system.

Two very good features of this unit are that you do not have to have a running computer to make it work and it receives its power over the ethernet cable. As long as your run is less than 98 feet, you can snake cable through your walls to your heart's content without worrying about how you will power the camera.

Since this camera has, in addition to its ability to take a signal from your burglar alarm, its own internal motion-heat-sound detectors, you could also use it as a sort of burglar alarm all by itself. But it does not have the capability to act as a perimeter alarm as would be the case if you have an alarm system with door and/or window sensors. And it does not turn on sirens to 1.) wake you up, 2.) scare the intruders away or 3.) if they are not scared away, heighten the level of insanity that is already going on in their minds.

Like the others, I find that the camera does not perform well in low light. But I have several lamps in our home that are hooked up to X-10 switches. These X-10s are programmed through the burglar alarm to turn on when the alarm goes off. I have not tested them with the camera yet but I am hoping that they will provide enough light to let us see what is going on in the event of an alarm.

There is one glaring vulnerability in all of this: your camera gives you notification and visual access through the internet; your house connects to the internet through a wire; burglars know how to snip a wire with a wire cutters and the more experienced burglars are going to do this before they attempt to break in. I circumvented this problem by changing my ISP. My new ISP connects the internet to my house wirelessly and that fixes that. If you do not have the wireless option, however, this issue needs to be addressed. Many alarm systems now can be fitted with an auxiliary backup device that calls you and/or the police through the cell phone network if your wire is cut. They cost extra both for the equipment and the ongoing use of the cell phone network.

We got a lot of value for our money here. It proved to be an elegant solution to our problem and added many more features to boot. I love gadgets and my heart sings whenever I see it up in the corner of my living room ceiling with its lights blinking down on me. What other people might think is 'beyond the scope of this review'.

ON PANASONIC SUPPORT: I'm not going to lower the rating on this camera because I think it is a fine product. But I will say that Panasonic support falls far short of the mark. In trying to get the camera viewable over the internet, I talked to 4 different representatives each of whom offered a different solution all of which were wrong. I wrote them a letter a week ago with no reply so far. So I did what I should have initially done which is to learn a little networking, specifically port forwarding. After my research and armed with some actual knowledge, I set up the cameras properly and they are now humming along. I can credit the reviewer who praised Panasonic support. However, that was not my experience. All these people had to do was to ask the right questions and then tell me what to do to configure the system properly. It took me, an amateur, a couple of hours to figure it out on my own and yet all four of these professionals failed to come up with the correct solution. And yes, I am fully aware that this is partly a result of a lack of committment on the part of management and not entirely the fault of the individual on the other end of the phone. 1-14-2011 UPDATE: Yesterday, I came across a puzzling issue having to do with sending sensor messages from the camera to our Panasonic Viera TV. Since I already know how good they are at fielding support requests over the telephone and through the postal service, I thought it might be interesting to send them an e-mail message via their website. The model of the camera was stated in the e-mail by way of the e-mail setup fields and I gave the model of the TV in the body of the e-mail. Later that day, I received this reply which I quote in full: 'Thank you for your inquiry. What is the model # to your cameras? If you have any additonal questions or concerns, please contact our technical support hotline at . Thank you for choosing Panasonic.' Additional questions indeed.

SETUP NOTE: If your network sits behind two in-line routers (one connected directly to the internet through the phone or cable TV wires, the 'outside' router; the other sitting between the outside router and the LAN: the 'inside' router) and you are having a hard time of it, identify both the public and private IP address of the inside router. Do a little googling to get yourself squared away on what the public and private IP addresses of a router are. Then, when you are setting up port forwarding on the outside router, you need to forward requests to the public not the private IP address of the inside router. Then use the private IP address of the inside router as the Default Gateway in your camera settings. There are other pitfalls but this particular one was my mine.

I would change the rating to 2 and would not recommend purchasing if you need LOW Light like a nursery. I absolutely do not recommend this or the 230a for a nursery!

Review updated on 2-27-2010. I will start by saying this was a very difficult to set-up camera on a Mac using Snow Leopard with VM Fusion and Parallels. I was not able to get it to work on VM Fusion and Windows 7 and eventually switched to Parallels with Windows XP I finally got it to work. I also have Trendnet TV-IP422W which was simple to configure.

Pro's

1. Comparing the picture in bright light using Parallels, IE and H.264 the picture is AMAZING. I will use the word 'Shocking' to describe how clear the picture is. Compared to Trendnet it is laughable how clearer the Panasonic picture is.

2. Web interface is great and is not limited for Mac users like Trendnet

3. The P/T is Very quick and much quieter compared to Trendnet

4. Unit size is very nice and the POE is well thought out.

Con

1. Night 'vision' is completely worthless. In the nursery with only a nightlight the TV-IP422W switches to a b&w view and we can see basic outlines, blanket vs child is a bit of a challenge. However, turn on the night vision IR's and you can. No switch to the panasonic setting next to the Trendnet, NOTHING. When I say nothing I mean, you can't see anything just a black room. No joke!

2. The range of the P/T is very limited and I haven't figured out how to zoom.

3. It appears H.264 compression improvements only work on IE and Windows. You do not see a benefit with H.264 on FireFox or Mac browsers.

4. I found it very difficult to setup on a Mac and feel free to leave comments if you are having trouble and I will see if I can help walk you through what I did

I received a 4 pack of Synology surveillance License and it works great. You can P/T and detection appears to work. I'm using the latest beta firmware on a Synology DS 409.

Final

Bright and I mean bright light the picture is amazing. Dusk the picture is not as good as the Trendnet and in very low light there is NO picture! If you have the need for Low Light pass on this camera! I also bought a 230a wireless and I used the same approach and was easy to set up and will put details in comment response. I'm returning the 230a as it doesn't work in low light of a nursery.

Has been playing with this network camera for 3 days and here's my opinions:

1. Setup is easy. As long as your router support DHCP, it's just a matter of popping the setup CD and click on 'Camera discovery'.

2. Good built-in software. I have another Panasonic BL-C111A network camera and both of them can show up in the same page.

3. Need two ethernet cables separately: One goes to your switch and one goes to the camera. They both connect to a proprietary PoE injector.

4. Tons of features: Motion trigger, Time trigger, Upload images to ftp, send images by email, remote access, etc.

Let's talk about the image quality, as it's probably the thing most people are interested in learning. In short, if you need a camera for mission critical monitoring (business location, identify a thief, etc), this is probably not your camera. The sensor of this camera is only 1/4" CMOS, which means it will be performing badly in low light situations. If you are looking for a camera for your business, then get a camera that have sensor size of at least 1/3", those cameras cost at least $400 or more. However, for basic monitoring, or use it as a gadget, then I think it should be fine.

Comparing my older BL-C111A and this camera, I came to the conclusion they perform almost identical, i.e. suck in lowlight, decent in bright light conditions. For the BL-C210A though, the overall image is sharper but it also gives a lot of 'mosquitoes' noise. My older BL-C111A has a softer image, but with a lot less noise. So it really depends on your preference, I find the 'mosquitoes' noise annoying, even though the image is sharper.

Another thing is, they advertise this camera as 640x480 30fps capable. This is another one of those advertising gimmicks. The camera image looks the best when they are 320x240. In 640x480 mode, they just extrapolate or enlarge it from 320x240, hence, the noise is even more pronounced in 640x480 mode. You will not see any more details in 640x480 mode than you will in 320x240. But again, this is a $130 (or $180) camera, so this is to be expected. If you need more detail in your images, then consider a 1/3" sensor camera.

In conclusion, I think (just my IMHO) the image quality of this camera is no better or worse than generic Chinese made IP camera you can get on ebay (they all use 1/4" CMOS sensor). However, Panasonic wins out in terms of support and the software features/quality. I would give this camera a 3.5 star for the image quality, and a 4 star for the value.

Want Panasonic BL-C210A Internet Security Camera Discount?

The MPEG-4 and H.264 are very clear (as clear as 640x480 can be). If you need more than 2 people to be able to watch it, you'll have to not use H.264. The MJPEG is quite a bandwidth hog on LAN, so if you expect to monitor this remotely you would best try to use the more efficient H.264 or at least MPEG-4.

If it bothers you to have to switch resolution every time you open it, then set it the way you want it (640x480, etc), then create a favorite and/or desktop icon with the big long address box contents and it will open that way every time.

The low light isn't spectacular but it's better than I get with my Logitech Pro 9000 webcam. It's better to see some things really grainy than to see nothing.

The zoom is client-side, you can see when others move the camera but not when others use the mouse wheel to zoom in, it's not an optical zoom..

The audio works great and there is a configuration for 3 microphone sensitivity levels. Programming the presets sent me to the manual but it's not hard once you see how to do it (the Program button above the presets, when logged in as admin).

I have not, and will not, install any included software, so my review is limited to what you can do just accessing the camera via a web browser.

Accessorise Google Nexus 7 inch Tablet Leather Folio Case Cover with Built-in Multi-Angle Stand-Blue

Accessorise Google Nexus 7 inch Tablet Leather Folio Case Cover with Built-in Multi-Angle Stand-BlueI ordered this case to replace another one which was a full zip-up one. This case is exactly as advritized and very good. The corners extend past the Nexus just enough to protect it in a fall. The case is perfectly balanced as far as the ruggedness/flimsyness of it (it doesnt require any breaking in). The only two draw back I found was that the Powder Blue color I got shows dirt easily and the stylus holder is on the side of the cover not the tablet side, so when you go to put the elastic strap around it(that holds the cover in the open position) you have to put it over the stylus if it is in the holder. Not a big deal or hard at all just tedious. Also to note the color on Amazon's picture is not exact the case I got was more of a sky or powder blue.

Pros

The sleep/awake or "smart" feature works perfectly

The case feels perfectly balanced in hand

The hand strap for holding with one hand is awesome

Corners extend just enough to protect the Table in a fall

Cons

Powder Blue color shows dirt easily

Stylus holder should be attached to the tablet side not the cover side

Overall

I would for sure recommend this and buy it again

I was surprised with how pretty and durable the case looked when I got it. The sky blue is beautiful. And the cover feels considerably more durable than a Kindle Fire case my mom bought for 3 times the price.

Also, the openings in the sides of the case are very well placed. No buttons/slots are covered, not even the tiny microphone hole on the side. Yet my Nexus 7 is still well protected.

I love the smartcase feature. It's a surprising addition for a case this inexpensive.

In case you can't see it in the picture (I didn't), there's actually some scroll writing in the bottom right corner of the front that says "Ayl". It's pretty writing and I think it adds to the case, but if you're a guy/tomboy you may not like it.

For the price, I felt it was a great purchase. I didn't expect the inside part of the case to be able to detach from the fold-over part (allows you to change it from landscape to portrait mode when standing it up) it's attached with velcro. I'm a bit nervous about the velcro holding up (not because of the quality, just because I don't trust velcro). Also, the case doesn't have any pockets/slots on the inside. Not really a big deal because there's nothing I would want to put in except a cleaning cloth.

Still, I highly recommend this case! Definitely worth more than the price.

I've ordered other items from this seller and am very impressed with the quality and low prices. This is a very well-made case; better than many selling for much more. Lovely color, perfect fit, all buttons and ports accessible. It seems very sturdy and protective. I'm very happy with this purchase.

UPDATE: I'm more happy than ever with this beautiful case, as well as the GREAT customer service from these sellers.

-Price some other cases, especially at your local office supply store, and you will see this is an amazing value. It's a top quality, completely functional and beautiful case for a very low price. EVERY person who has seen my Nexus 7 comments on it, and wants to know where I got it, and everyone is amazed when they find out how inexpensive it it. It gets as much or more interest as the Nexus 7 itself.

These sellers are terrific. I've purchased covers for my Kindle and my Nexus, as well as some other accessories from them, and their quality, prices, and customer service is outstanding!

I purchased a cover from Staples when I first bought my Nexus tablet which cost $39.99. It fit the tablet, however it did not allow for the auto awake feature to work(I had to remove the tablet from the cover in order for it to stay on!!!). So, I checked out several covers on Amazon, and chose this one, I figured how could I go wrong for $9.99?. Well, this cover is absolutly GREAT! Fits wonderfully, all buttons and ports are accessable, and the wake up feature works flawlessly. I also love the ability to use it horizontaly or verticaly. I returned the other cover to Staples, saved myself $30.00 and am truly happy with my purchase.

Want Accessorise Google Nexus 7 inch Tablet Leather Folio Case Cover with Built-in Multi-Angle Stand-Blue Discount?

I am extremely pleased with my purchase! This case seems to be a quality product. The leather has a nice feel to it with tight and even stitching and a very nice color. It fits my Nexus 7 perfectly with easy access to charging port, headphone port, volume buttons, and on/off button. The automatic wake/sleep feature works well and is so nice to have. This will be a bit difficult to describe, but I love how I can "offset" how it is attached to the outer cover portion to protect the charging cable when I am using it as it is plugged in. My only concern is how well the Velcro will hold up over time, but that is a very minor concern. Overall, definitely a good value for a nice product!

VuPoint Solutions PDS-ST441-VP Magic Wand Portable Scanner w/ Preview Display, 900 DPI Resolution,

VuPoint Solutions PDS-ST441-VP Magic Wand Portable Scanner w/ Preview Display, 900 DPI Resolution, USB 2.0Overall very good. Different scanning qualities a plus. Worked well. Liked ability to scan to JPEG or PDF. Creates a PDF that can easily be edited (cropped, etc.) by Adobe Acrobat (unlike Pandigital wand scanner I had to return because it created a PDF with HUGE dimensions that Acrobat couldn't handle). Takes a little work to get non-wavy images, but you will eventually get the knack of scanning correctly. More compact than the Pandigital. Can recommend this for scanning on the go, but doesn't replace a desktop scanner for high quality/higher volume scans. Basically, it is very good at executing on its target mission.

Ok, I just got this and I love it. I love the portability, it uses two double A battery's it's very easy to operate, and it works great. You can carry this with you and you can be ready to scan anywhere. It has a small color screen that I thought would be useless because it's so small, but I was wrong. You can see if your photo came out, it's good to have. This is the first scanner I ever owned. I have a Printer but has no scanner. Im very satisfied with this purchase. I forgot to mention it does not come with the memory card. But they are inexpensive. So if you purchase the Magic wand scanner, also get the mini sd card.

Update: I've had this scanner for awhile now and now every time I scan a photo there is a line right in the middle or somewhere on the photo. So I purchased a flatbed scanner. The canon canoscan lide 210. It's not too big and it's powered by the USB. So far it works really great. I now give the hand held scanner two stars. Also it's a battery drainer.

This little scanner is indeed very handy under the right circumstances, but can be a bit awkward for scanning books with a small inner margin ("gutter") or that don't lie perfectly flat. It can make it tough to move the wand steadily (leading to a wavy image) or cut the image off. I'm beginning to get the hang of it, but my big scanner is still better for some of the sorts of things I like to scan (such as a page here or there from a library book I don't want to buy). I haven't started on the major project I bought the scanner for scanning old photos for my family genealogy but it should work well for that. It is fun to use, and has features I haven't learned yet. I also bought the firm-sided carrying case, which I think is a good investment, even if you don't plan to take the wand out of the house it holds the microSD chip adapter and the connecting wires etc. and protects the wand very nicely. I definitely think this was the right model for me, with the most flexibility if you're going to bother to buy the thing, get all the bells and whistles the first time (900 dpi, PDF ready, etc.).

After using this for quite a while, here are my observations

3 Stylus Pen for Apple iPhone 4 3G 3GS (Silver)

3 Stylus Pen for Apple iPhone 4 3G 3GSFor the price, I wasn't even going to bother with a review, but since Amazon sent me an email asking for one, here it is.

These absolutely did not work for me on my iPod Touch. I'd had great success with the Pogo Stylus Ten One Design Pogo Stylus for iPod touch 2G, 3G (Black) and decided to try these out as back-up -leave them around the house, stick one in my purse, etc.

Where the Pogo slid across my screen (it has a spongy tip), these styluses were like putting on the brakes (they have a rubber tip). Even when I tried using them for things that didn't need any sliding motion, like typing, they still didn't work unless I pressed VERY hard (to the point where I thought I'd crack my screen).

I've since gotten an iPad, so I don't even need a stylus anymore (because everything is HUGE on the iPad : ), but if my review helps even one person save a few bucks and the wasted time waiting for something that's not going to work (didn't for me, at least), then it's worth the time it took for me to write this review. : )

By the way, there are different styles of the Pogo stylus, not just the one I posted (which is the one I'd purchased).

I was looking for something that my husband could use to use my phone. I was told about these and thought, finally something he can use instead of his huge fingers. I was excited to give them a try. THEY DID NOT EVEN WORK ON MY I-PHONE. Not one number or letter could it even hit. I would not suggest anyone waste their money or time when looking to use this with an I-phone.

Don't buy this! You get what you pay for. It only works for typing, sometimes, on my iPod Touch 2G (latest version with 3G iPhones) does not drag, and does not even activate two-tap features all the time. Amazon should ban them, for sale in different configurations on site.

I have tried and used many. These to me are the best. They work well with the screen and have the soft bulb end. I bought others that looked similar, but had a hard slanted end and they don't work nearly as well. I have also used the pogo ones, but this are just a little larger and easier to use. They will fit in the pogo clip if you have it, a little tighter than the pogo but it does work. You can't beat them for the price.

Stylus pens, what can be said? They showed up weeks later, almost a full month, so if you need them now, order somewhere else. I will say they do work on the Kindle Fire. During the long wait found out I can use my finger just fine, and I don't lose it.

Date of purchase they show in this review is wrong ordered these December 28, 2011.

HP 110 Handheld Classic iPAQ - FA980AA#ABA

HP 110 Handheld Classic iPAQ - FA980AA#ABAMuch faster than my iPAQ 1945 and about 50% better battery life. I can work 15 hours straight (excluding WiFi use) and still have about 35-40% battery reserve left. The program buttons don't turn the unit on any more, you have to push the "on" button first. WiFi reception is excellent.

I recently got a Samsung Smartphone which can access the Internet and receive Email. I was ready to get one for my wife when she said she didn't need to be on the Internet when out. I still wanted to update her PDA so the HP iPAQ 110 fit the bill. It's Windows Mobile 6 Classic which means it's the same Windows Mobile 6 as on the Smart Phones but the Classic means it's not part of a phone. It's a great product at a good price.

I have had my ipaq classic 110 for a little over a year now and I use mine for work. I work in the public and medical industry and utilize programs related to medical. It is amazingly easy to purchase and download programs. The only complaint I have is that if you let the battery run down you lose all your information and have to reload from scratch. However, what I really like is that I can load to programs onto a memory card and use them from that. If the battery runs down, they are still there. I haven't figured out how to get the blue tooth to work with my computer or cellular phone, or the wifi, for windows updates or internet. The speed is very good and the battery life is good too. One charge will last me 3-5 days depending on usage.

That I bought a 2nd iPAQ at a time when everybody is buying tablets shows how much I love this marvelous invention. The reasons are easily understood: smarts, size and overall convenience. You can do wordprocessing and spreadsheets and surf the net at hot spots or at home if you have a wireless router. It comes with an expansion slot for standard SD cards. Text input is done with a stylus; once you get used to it you'll be hooked and writing all sorts of memos and notes and love letters to the universe if that's your thing. Now for the bad news: HP has discontinued this line of products and finding one is very difficult. Too bad because here's a product that thinking people everywhere will appreciate.

Seems Legit. Came in the official HP box. No complaints. The only problem i have with this is where to get the applications. (and yes there are applications.) The only bad thing is customer service. It was like they didn't even know what the gadget even was.

rooCASE Ultra Slim (Black) Leather Case Cover Cover with Stand for Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 GT-P7300

rooCASE Ultra Slim Leather Case Cover Cover with Stand for Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 GT-P7300 GT-P7310I tried several cases for the Galaxy Tab 8.9 and this was the best for me. It is well made. Most of all it is highly functional. You do put the Galaxy Tab in upside down so that that charging port is available at all times. You do not have to do this but it works great that way and is the only case that allows you do it. The case can be positioned at different angles and it feels solid at all times. Lastly, the case has a nice feel in the hand.

This is a very nice product and well worth the asking price. It has a great fit for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and has two viewing angles; one is with the tab in normal landscape mode with the power and volume buttons up, and the other is just 180 degrees the other way (landscape with the power and volume buttons down.) The case seems to be of good quality materials, however I do not know how it will hold up as I have only had the product for 1 week.

I find the case very good. It does however, lack a method to hold it closed when the device is not in use. That would be helpful. The case is slim, not bulky and is easy to carry or slip into a purse or bag.

Bluetooth USB 2.0 Micro Adapter Dongle

Bluetooth USB 2.0 Micro Adapter DongleThis mini 2.0 USB Blue Tooth dongle has potential but the bundled software ruins it. I paid about 5-6 bucks (including shipping) for it the reseller had it to me in record time. At this price point, really, there was not much for me to lose and my expectations were not that high.

The dongle ships in a plastic pack with a mini CDROM. The mini CDROM has software (Bluesoleil 2.6.0.8) that enables Blue Tooth features that go beyond the basic Windows XP Blue Tooth capabilities, including A2DP (stereo music).

The dongle is tiny. I have an Acer Aspire One netbook and the dongle barely juts out from the side of the netbook a clear improvement over my Targus Blue Tooth USB dongle, which is 1 1/2 inches long. This improvement, however, was the only improvement to be found.

When using this USB dongle in a Windows XP environment, you really have two choices:

1) Plug it in and let XP detect and install a generic Blue Tooth driver for the device

2) Install the Bluesoleil software

If you go with the XP drivers, you are going to be able to use a decent and stable set of features, such as a reliable Blue Tooth mouse connection.

If you go with the Bluesoleil software, it opens up the functionality of the device and provides additional features that the XP drivers don't support, such as stereo music.

The problem is, the Bluesoleil software is not good. The user interface is ugly and non-intuitive. You'll just have to install it to see for yourself. Additionally, the software is, by design, crippled. Per the help menu, patches and upgrades will cost you. You can purchase a full version that, among other things, removes the data transfer speed-cap so that you can listen to MP3s without hiccups.

Setting aside the fairly annoying and yet not deal-breaking aspects of the software is the fact that the software doesn't play well with the audio drivers of my Acer Aspire One netbook. If I try to open an audio gateway to my Motorola BT stereo headphones, the Aspire RealTek soundchip drivers crash and crash again. And that is if I can even get the software to agree to create an audio gateway; it doesn't seem to be able to do so reliably.

I searched for information regarding the Bluesoleil software and the majority of the search results returned ways to work around the issues and many results even outlined how to reconfigure competitive software packages to work with the dongle in order to circumnavigate the Bluesoleil software altogether. I tried every trick that was described. I found some success in working with different software hacks but the time I spent was not well spent.

Back to my old Targus BT dongle, it was about 25 bucks. I installed the included software (WIDCOMM) and it just works. Five minutes of fiddling and it all works. It's silver and pokes way out and is pretty lame looking, but it gives me no grief.

In the end, I guess if your time is worth nothing than the cheapo BT dongle is for you. However, if you want the BT dongle to just work out of the box with no issues for every application that you expect it to work for, do some research and pay for what you expect to receive.

I have to caveat that this dongle and the included software may be just fine for you. For me however, it did not meet my requirements which are: BT mouse, BT stereo headphones and BT cellphone connections. All at once. Without any issues. The Targus dongle does this and I guess I'll just live with its unfortunate form factor.

First unit received had a manufacturing defect that prevented the dongle from being attached to the usb port.

The replacement could not pair with other devices using Microsoft's bluetooth driver on XP(sp3) clean install. It also did not work with Microsoft's bluetooth driver on Vista x64. Also tried ubuntu linux 9.04 and also did not work.

After troubleshooting in ubuntu, the system log revealed that the device shuts down and restarts each time the bluetooth radio is used. And that was the apparent cause of pairing failures.

update: the device doesn't appear to use the Broadcom 2045 Chipset as stated in the detailed description. I installed the WIDCOMM bluetooth driver from Broadcom and it doesn't recognize the device.

Buy Bluetooth USB 2.0 Micro Adapter Dongle Now

I know you're tempted by a bargain (I was!), but put the money towards a better adapter.

This might work for some, but on a 64-bit Windows 7 machine, the default drivers from Windows Update don't work (can't get through the pairing process). The version of BlueSoleil shipped with the product is obsolete and also doesn't work. BlueSoleil does have a nice working version on their website, but to get a full version without the shady data transfer limit, you'll need to shell out another $20 or so, at which point it's no longer worth it. Lastly either the dongle is NOT based on a Broadcom chipset, or Broadcom didn't write any 64-bit drivers, but their Bluetooth setup utility cannot detect the device either.

I feel like maybe if I keep digging around the web I'll eventually figure it out, but at this point I'm ready to throw in the towel. At least it's only a couple bucks down the drain.

Based on the couple other reviews, I thought that I would take a gamble on it. I needed something to connect my cell phone bluetooth headset to my computer for a VoIP setup needed for work. With little information and having never used bluetooth, I gambled and I won.

The dongle has a small foot print. The software is excellent. I was able to connect all my cell phones and the wireless headsets to the computer with out any problem. Further, I was able to integrate my wireless headsets to my VoIP application (Avaya IP Agent, in case anyone is wondering). I was pleasantly surprised to see that the device packaging says that it is VoIP capable. The software is easy to use.

Over all, I am very pleased with the device. For less than $10 and the small footprint, you can't go wrong using this device.

I recommend it to anyone looking for bluetooth USB adapter.

Amazon Kindle Fire Tablet (Wifi Only, Wifi + 3G) Baby Pink Snug Fit Hardshell Carrying Case + Vango

Amazon Kindle Fire Tablet Baby Pink Snug Fit Hardshell Carrying Case + Vangoddy, Live*Laugh*Love wrist band!!!As a big fan of the Kindle, I was looking for the right travel case and accessories. This combo package does have a very good selection of chargers(for car, at the office) etc and the snug fit case is easy to spot in my large travel bag but I am still looking for a case that can CARRY your chargers and light with it. So that's just a personal preference. But this is a good value and one of the few combo kits that the different types of chargers I was looking for.

I bought this package mainly for the case. I love that it's hardened around the Kindle. It really makes it easy to have the kindle in and out and protects it great in a bag while being squished by other stuff.

The extra accessories is just gravy on top because the Kindle holds its charge so well that I rarely have to use the chargers.

When I purchased my Kindle I was awed by the pretty leather case, but I saw this and that it came with the additional adapters. I realized that in my hectic on the go that the leather might night provide enough protection. I put my Kindle in this, zipped it up and I've taken it to work, camping, the museum, it is so rugged and solid. Clean up is great too, a little hot soapy water dabbed on and the stains come right out.

It's generic, made to fit all sizes, so it doesn't fit the smallest one very well. The elastic band is sewn in too high, cuts across the screen, so leaving the band on while holding and reading isn't good. I have to remove it and resew, luckily I can do that.

The extra cords seemed like a good idea, but they aren't needed unless you lose the charger/data cable which comes with your Kindle. It should come with a light instead of the extra wall charger or just include a light.

There is a lot of room inside the case, so good thing it's a hard shell. If it were soft, it would smash the Kindle easily.

I'm going to buy a skin cover for the Kindle and there is enough room inside to still hold it with an extra skin on.

I like the color, but there is a spot on the back upper corner where the gray dye from the zipper bled on to the pink shell, looks like a dirt spot but it won't come off.

If you want a more snug cover so it appears that you are reading a book or just for a comfortable hold, buy a different case.

I received this product today and am a little disappointed I was really hoping for a "snug fit" for my latest generation (Wifi only) which has been hard to find since most cases I have found are made for Gen 1 or 2. This one specifically said Latest Generation so I thought I had found the one. Well it isn't a snug fit or anything close. It has about an inch of extra space on top, about half an inch on the side and the band is so high that is covers the bottom of the screen. It also doesn't look like the photo. It shows it as all pink but the product is pink with a large gray band and zipper around it. If you are looking for a case for a Gen 2 (which I assume it fits better) I would say this is a great case. I like the feel of it, I like the style and even though it is not what is pictured I don't mind the gray band/zipper. I am not bothering with the hassle of returning this. It was a good price, I got a car charger in the deal and for now it at least protects my Kindle when not in use (it does stay snugly in the mesh pocket on the other side). I will just continue my search for a good TRUE Latest Generation case.

*I included photos in the customer photos section to show the size problem.

This one came with what appeared as the same type of quality but after just one day the magnetic snap broke out of the strap. I have super glued it back on but not sure how long that will last and am still thinking about sending it back. I should give this a one star because of this but I do like the case but PDair needs to look at the quality of their snaps so this one issue doesn't hurt what is a good phone case.
