PDair Leather Case for Samsung Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102 - Flip Top Type (Black)
HP® iPAQ 211 Enterprise Handheld PDA, 624 MHz, 4 inch TFT, 128 MB SDRAM, Black
General Observations:
A bit bigger and somewhat heavier than the Palm.
Seems well constructed and is nice-looking. I notice many reviewers rave about the screen, but to me it didn't seem noticeably better than the Palm. I didn't care for the case that came with it. The Palm had a cover over the screen that could easily be flipped open or shut and left me with something still slim enough to carry in a shirt pocket. The 211 came with a very close fitting case from which it cannot be easily extracted. It is nicer looking, but I lost the stylus the first day, due to the way you have to hold the PDA and pull on it to extract it. I have since replaced this with a Boxwave cover with magnetic clasp. But too bulky and heavy now to carry in my shirt.
Faults:
transition from portrait to landscape mode is slower than the Palm. You have to hold a button down for a few seconds, whereas the Palm only needed a single tap on an icon.
Documents are much slower to open or close than in the Palm. Also the Palm would remember my location when I closed a doc. The 211 always opens it at the beginning; so for long documents, it is a pain to find where you left off. Also in the palm, I could put book marks to easily find important sections in a long document; can't do that with the 211.
In the Solitaire game, which I play a lot, the cards seem a bit smaller and less distinct than on the Palm.
On the Palm, I could encrypt a single note; handy for storing credit card numbers and so on. Can't do that on the 211, although you can lock the entire device. This is a nuisance, so I had to figure out an alternative method of securing that type of information.
On the Palm, if I want to do a picture slide show, the orientation changed automatically as needed for each picture. The 211 doesn't do that, so if you start in landscape mode and come to a portrait-type picture, it will be displayed quite small. Also, the device doesn't seem to recognize that it's being used during a slide show, so it turns off after whatever time limit you have set for auto-off. Then you have to turn it back on, navigate back to the pics, find your spot again, etc.
Good Stuff:
Love the chime for calendar reminders. Pleasant sound and gradually gets louder. I use this now for my alarm clock, as it is not jarring to wake up to like a typical alarm clock.
Voice recorder. The Palm didn't have one. However, you have to hold the mike pretty close to your mouth if you want a decent recording. This wouldn't work out well if you wanted to record a meeting.
Game "Bubble Breaker." A screen full of different colored bubbles. Find 2 or more touching and double tap to remove them. The remaining bubbles above drop down. Get larger groups of same color bubbles together before removing and increase your score.
Removable battery. But the Palm battery (not removable) gave very good service the entire time I had it.
Voice recorder. I mention this twice because of a really nifty feature: you can append a voice recording to a note. This can be very useful, for example: I see a recipe I like but don't want to type the whole thing into my PDA. I can type a very short note, like "chicken pie" and then record the recipe as an attachment to that note. So later, I just look up "chicken pie" and then listen to the recipe.
I will not comment on features like the wireless, memory cards and so on, as others have done so more ably than I.

MG Portable Android Wi-Fi Game System
The MG Game System is a totally awesome NEW portable game system that runs off of the Google Play via Wi-Fi, which means your child has access to thousands of FREE apps and allows your children the freedom to download the apps they want with a prepaid allowance that their parents set.
It's super slim so your child will have no problem toting it around in their pocket just like a smart phone. It has a sleek design so your child will want to pull it out in front of their friends and show it off. But best of all? Us parents get our devices back! Woohoo!
With the $149.99 price tag it's totally affordable considering how much I paid for my iPhone. I am purchasing a second unit because my children and I loved the first one so much!
This portable game system is definitely a MUST BUY for older children, tweens and teens!Just got this in the mail a couple of days ago and wanted to try it out before I put it under the tree for my son.
First, the packaging was awesome and the experience of opening it will be great on Christmas morning.
Second, the start up was easy. I wanted to make sure it was totally set up for my son because he's going to be anxious to get going on the games. It was only a few steps and I set it up with a Google account.
Third, I'm really impressed with the spending card. My son is 9 and while he's been good about asking before using my credit card for games on my iPhone, I like that he'll have his own card that I can pre-load and have him learn how to think before buying his games. I have a feeling he'll be choosier about now that he's spending his own money :)
The only downside is that since this is run on wifi, some games won't work unless without a connection. Other than that, the MG feels sturdy without being hulking or heavy. The screen says it is made of gorilla glass so I'm hoping it withstands the abuse my son will give it. It feels stronger than my iPhone though and he's put that thing through tough times!

A wrapped package sat there waiting to be unwrapped by my now 11 year old Birthday boy...he kept saying "HMMMMM, wonder what is in that box"...Mostly because he had no idea, as it was not the size or shape of any gift he had requested..no it was a SURPRISE about to be opened.A Surprise it was he opened it and laid his eyes on the newest hand help gaming device no child had ever seen ( at least in his neighborhood) yes, he had just received his New MG Portable Android Wi-Fi Game System an item he had not requested but one he was about to become addicted to.
The MG Portable Android Wi-Fi Game System has been non-stop play over the past 2 weeks playing favorite games such as SA Hero, MBA Jam and A Need For Speed. The device travels with us during our everyday errands or on road trips to our cabin.
If you are looking for a SURPRISE Fun gift to give I highly recommend the MG Portable Android Wi-Fi Game System it comes pre-loaded with great games which means no more high priced games to be purchased. There are plenty of free downloadable App games as well as inexpensive ones as low as 99 cents each.
For us moms the best part is the "Remote Trust" a feature that allows parents to view their kid's activity from a distance. Add your email to the system at set-up and then you can receive updates on your computer or smartphone about your child's MG activity and the SpendSmart(TM) Prepaid MasterCard(R) a reloadable debit account allowing you to create "game allowances" that the teen can use for App purchases.
Enjoy the Surprise Fun!

I bought five of these for my kids for Christmas and originally it did not work well (see first review below). I sent them back for a refund. I will say that one of the best things about MG is the customer service team. I was contacted almost immediately and informed there was a fix in place that solved the freezing issues. I was offered a chance to try the MG again and sent a complimentary MG. My kids played on it non-stop for hours and NO FREEZING at all! The fix worked great... this is definitely a wonderful game for kids. Thank you MG team for the update and the chance to test it out.******
I bought five of these for my kids for Christmas. I was excited when I opened them to set them up prior to Christmas even downloaded a couple of Android games. Set up Google accounts, etc. and repackaged. Kids thought I was the best youngest even called it her "phone". Shortly thereafter, the units started to freeze and shutoff randomly. You'd touch the screen and a totally different app would open. I did the pinch multiple times, but who wants to wait between playing over and over again to restart the unit! Very disappointing shipping them back and now need to figure out what to get them as a replacement. smh

We've had our MG for a few weeks now & we love it! We have Gameboys & everything but it's too expensive to have to keep paying for game cartridges. Our "smart" phones don't have enough space to download all the fun things we want to download. The MG lets us add more memory with an SD card & there are SO MANY free apps out there that the kids can play. We even have the kids watch Netflix on it at home, instead of fighting over the show that's on. No more "I don't want to watch thiiiiiis" whining! We couldn't be happier with our MG!*Disclosure: I received the MG in exchange for a review on my blog. However, I wouldn't endorse something I didn't truly love!

Having made the investment in a new Garmin GPS, I wanted to protect the screen from scratches during use. I've used BoxLight protectors for my cell phone before and liked them. I applied this screen to my Garmin 255W it's a perfect fit and quite easy to install. It's like the protector isn't there at all. The GPS touch screen works perfectly just as it did before the protector was placed and the display is not affected at all. Highly recommended!GSI 2-In-1 Transfer USB Connection Kit - SD Card Reader

Compared to buying the Apple SD connection for $30 this is a bargain. It also has an USB connection slot, but it will not work with Ipad II. Get message saying "not enough power to support this" But for connecting SD cards it works fine.Read Best Reviews of GSI 2-In-1 Transfer USB Connection Kit - SD Card Reader Here
I bought this for an iPad 2 in September. It seemed to work on both the USB setting with my Canon digital camera plugged in and with the SD card setting using just the SD card for the camera. I did not use it again after that initial test. Then, I upgraded the iPad2 to ios5 just before leaving on a trip. I then tried to use this product on my iPad2 to finally load some photos in and NOW it is no longer recognized by my iPad as a compatible device!! So, I got NO use out of this. I don't think it is the fault of the product, as it did work before and something must have changed in the new operating system as it did on previous changes (Apple no doubt, wants to make cheaper, third party connectors unworkable in order to force users to buy their more expensive adapter instead), so I blame Apple for the uselessness of this product on a current iPad with current operating system, but that still makes it useless, and if you plan to use it for current devices on ios5, you should be warned it no longer works.Want GSI 2-In-1 Transfer USB Connection Kit - SD Card Reader Discount?

Corex CardScan Executive with Version 5.0 Software
The scanner works well most of the time. With the Auto Scan feature you can set your cards down and, if all goes right, come back later to verify the information. Cards are rapidly read and the images stored until you verify the accurate placement of the card information into the software fields.
This leads me to one of the major problems with the CardScan. Understandably it's difficult to account for all business card formats, with the contact info. being placed in all possible ways. Corex has not fully figured out how to ensure placement of the card info. into the software fields. Only about 50% of the time was most of the info. properly placed. Otherwise you'll have to go through and cut and paste into the correct fields.
The CardScan does not always cleanly scan the business cards. The software is designed to allow you to compare the scanned image of the card to the fields to which the info. was assigned. Good idea but doesn't work so well. To verify that the card was read properly, you'll have to keep your scanned cards with you. Of course, once it's verified you can put the cards away for good.
Two great features of the CardScan: (1) it allows you to scan the back of the business card and (2) you can make your own entries for those cards that are too difficult to read.We are a medium-sized manufacturer growing into the world-wide marketplace. The CardScan allows our central staff to maintain and update current and new customers or prospects. Through Outlook, we keep our field sales team updated and current. We save 80 to 85% the time spent maunually entering the data and have not experienced any difficulties synchonizing with our Palm Pilots. Good business investment.

If you have a box full of business cards that you'd like to get transfered to a computer, this is pretty good. It does a very good job of reading cards, figuring out what is what, even picking up email addresses, etc. The OCR even does a respectable job on handwriting.Other reviewers have complained about the software I use the built in export to the Palm desktop software and it works great!

I have been disappointed with the Corex CardScan Executive. While ads claim the business card scanner will read business cards and then enable the user to import the data into other software applications, I have not had this experience.I purchased the unit and followed the instructions for the set up. During the set up, the user must test the unit by scanning a business card into the scanner. My unit would not pull the business card over the scanner. I re-installed the software, tried again without success.
I contacted Corex customer service, and was given instructions on testing the scanning device. The results of the test indicated the unit was defective. I was instructed to return the unit, at my expense, to Corex customer service in Germany. I had to pay shipping plus customs clearance fees.
After the scanner was 'repaired' it was returned to me. Again, I had to pay customs charges in Thailand. Upon installing the unit, again it would not pull the card through the scanner. Running the same tests, it appeared I had the same or another defective unit.
I contacted Corex in the USA, and requested a new system be shipped to me. I received a nice note from Corex customer service with installation instructions, but no acknowledgement of my request.
Buy from Corex with caution, they do not support their products. Buyer Beware!

Worth every penny, see that ugly stack of cards by your keyboard you have been meaning to get rid of for a month. Alittle time and they are gone! As it states, I recommend checking manually each card before accepting. A great tool, only minor complaint is interns generally use the old pc and making sure they have the usb connection is necessary.2TB G-safe Spare Module Drive
