I like the feel of the "leather" and the look. It fits perfect and is easy to work with. Detaching from the keyboard requires an easy unsnap. I especially like the pocket and business card slot.
The good thing is that the keyboard holding portion is detachable by means of two metal snaps. So while we wait for a working keyboard, that portion is in a drawer. I haven't tried out if the Transformer pad will work with the keyboard attached and still be able to fit in the portfolio case. It is made with PU leather, or split leather, which, if I read right, has a thin piece of actual leather covered with a kind of plastic and embossed. One thing about it, it lived up to it's name of PU leather when I opened the bag for the first time. It certainly had a strong chemical paint like smell to it. It's not really noticeable now, but opening the bag for the first time certainly was an experience with the smell.It's a perfect product, keeps your keyboard and screen vary safe, and looks really professional.

I had been looking forward to getting my first color Tablet. I have a Kindle, B&W version but I had to get a color one so I bit the bullet and gave away my Kindle and invested again on a color Tablet.To my surprise I was totally unprepared for the several major challenges I faced trying to enjoy this neat little invention.
I was not expecting a lightning fast iPad at all, but the connectivity problems I encountered were way beyond normal, and then when I tried to download Netflix, it got very close many times but after about a week of trying, I finally called eMatic and I was told about the 3 possible solutions. I tried that route for a few days but gave up again. I finally got someone that told me that in fact that model was not up to it and would never be able to operate for me if I wished to watch some Netflixes.
At that point I was running out of time but on the 30th day since its arrival I called in to see about returning the unit in exchange for a model that was faster and that could show Netflix movies.
I was pleased with the cooperation and quick RMA and so right now I'm just waiting for the promised full Credit to arrive so I can buy perhaps a 32-Gig 'Nook' at Barnes and Noble?
If anyone knows where to get a 'Nook' anywhere else but at B & N, please let me know. I sure do not wish to plow down $275 with taxes included right now if I can save maybe $75 or so bucks.

Ok,I thought I was getting a 'good deal'. Went cheap and picked up one of these. At first I was accepting of the poor speed, no google play (android market) and limited abilities with the apps that I could get on this. Then, as the warranty was expiring, it froze. Ok, called/emailed customer support after visiting their website support pages trying to find a anwser (be sure to visit this before you buy the amount of negatives here will convince you if I can't) was issued a RMA# to send it back. At my cost. Weeks went by (not too many though)before it was returned, after 10 minutes it was back to its frozen condition. Many emails three phone calls to support revealed that they would be happy to take it back as long as I paid the shipping (again). No deal. they returned it broken and are now asking me to be without it for multiple weeks and pay for shipping on something they shouldn't have shipped out prematurely in the first place??? the last customer support employee hung up on me!!!

I linked to this product from a previous purchase. The first time I bought it, this product had a black circle instead of a grey one ( and still shows black on my previous order page. ) The difference is more than just color, though. The "new" version is made completely of plastic and is a lot more flimsy than the original. The original ( black circle ) had metal parts, which made it heavier but sturdier. I find it strange that amazon treats them as the same, when they are clearly very different. I recommend waiting/getting the one with the black circle and metal parts instead.

I have no issues with this stand. I wish it came with a better quality case, but I guess at this price you can't complain about that to much.I bought this for my Kindle 3 and it's perfect. Very portable and has a nice weight to it for added stability.Works perfectly. The only complaint is that is is a bit bulky, but is smaller than some of the other stands. Adjusting the angle is the best feature. The legs that the iPad sits on seem cheap but we will see how they last.

I have always used and liked the Iomega products starting with their Zip drives. The ease of use, flexibility and storage capacity have always made these products well worth the price.I use this product to back up my computer. I prefer to use the Rev Disks, which can be stored in a safe location in case of disaster. Using secondary hard drives, either external or internal, can be risky. These drives sometimes suffer mechanical breakdowns and are susceptible to the same risks as the computer, i.e. fire, water, viruses, other damage.
As far as storage capacity, the Rev disks have the most storage capacity that I have seen. There are probably others out there with more, but I always try to go with known and reputable name brands. Having the high storage capacity make backups easier which, in turn, lets me do it more frequently. Using one Rev disk verses numerous CDs or DVDs, is just plain easier. If you have a hard drive larger than 35GB, then CDs and or DVDs are just too much hassle, which makes backups a nightmare. With the Rev product, it makes it soooo much easier. I highly recommend this product.

This product may be fine for the home user with small infrequent backups. But with LTO2 drives starting at $1500 and 200GBnative/400GBcompressed tapes costing $35 each, the cost of the media will quickly overwhelm the savings in the drive for any larger/more frequent backup routine. This format is far too costly for archive media as well.Iomega has been trying for years to create another winner like the Zip drive, but they've failed to recognize it's been done with DVD-R and soon with HDDVD/Blu-Ray. There simply isn't a need for a high priced product like this. If the units were $100 and the media were $10, they'd have a chance.

Sharing the sentiments of a previous poster, I too was duped into purchasing one of these devices. I like the device itself and find it to be a nice system. It's very quick, and the user interface is crisp. However, I travel internationally all the time. I bought this unit to replace my dual-band Treo 270. It's not that the Treo was not cutting it; it's that I wanted a tri-band PDA. Imagine my surprise when I called in to get the unlock code and they told me, nope, you can't have it. I quickly asked for my RMA number.
Too bad. If Palm would recognize that the market for cell phones is a commodity-based one, with people using SIMs so that they _can_ switch phones easily (thus the idea of a SIM card in the first place), they'd get a lot more sales. I hope AT&T paid them a good bit of money for the exclusivity. If not, ...they are losing sales. Like mine :-(
Unfortunately, the device has been a disappointment. The ergonomics are dreadful in comparison with the Blackberry, or a Nokia phone. The lack of notification when a text message (other than SMS) is a deficiency. The phone is unsafe to use in a motor vehicle, so I've had to activate a second, in-car phone & number. The original, largely Grafitti-based input functions common to previous Palms are much easier to use than the Tungsten's choice of the tiny mechanical keyboard or the tap-to-select on-screen version.
The device is very choosy about where it charges. I have three cradles, plus the travelling adapter with 110V and 12V (cigarette lighter) connections. One of the three cradles won't charge it, and it refuses to accept juice from an auto cigarette lighter, either. I have not found the battery life to be a problem, as described in one of the other reviews, though.
Web surfing is OK, some sites won't allow it access, but for what I use it for, it's acceptable. Being GSM, though, there are parts of the country where there is no coverage I know this from my prior phone.
Finally, after five weeks' ownership, the annoying wired earpiece necessary to use the phone feature hooked on an obstruction once too often, and evidently damaged the jack. Now, the whole shooting match has to go back to Palm for repair.
All in all, I'm afraid I've pushed the technolgical envelope too far this time.

I bought it yesterday and have returned it today!All features other than the integrated gsm phone/ wireless service are same as the earlier model Tungsten "T". So presumably one would pay the extra buck for the advantage of having a phone/pda combo. Right? Unfortunately the ONLY service provider with which it can work with is AT&T. As per the words of a Palm tech rep., "This is a SIM lock device"! Meaning that the only SIM card that would work is the one that is provided in the box by AT&T. It is not like a normal tri band GSM phone in which you can put in a SIM card from any wireless service provider and you can use it in the coverage areas of your service provider. So only two group of people can use this deivce. Fristly, those who do not want to use it as a phone and only want to use it as a PDA. To them I would say why dont you get a nicer PDA like something from Sony, or HP, or the Palm Tungsten T. And secondly those people who are willing to subscribe to the AT&T serivce plan. I dont live in US and have never been a coustomer with AT&T, however I know firstly that limiting a deivce to only one service provider is purely logic deprived, in general for all users and particularly for users who travel abroad and want to use SIM cards from local serivce providers. And the other fact is that the reviews on AT&T wireless service are far from satisfactory. So in short this Tungsten model has no advantage over the Tungsten T. As a PDA it may be good. But then why pay the extra $$$$ for having a phone/pda combination.

I bought the blue cover and it indeed matched Apple's blue leather folding magnetic iPad cover very well. It came with simple, clear instructions for application to the back of the iPad. I was concerned about screwing that up and applying it crookedly, or improperly offset, or ending up with bubbles that couldn't be smoothed out, but their instructions make it hard to go wrong. It's also just heavy (thick) enough that it more or less smooths itself out once adhered. I've only had it for about two weeks, but it seems to be wearing well and makes the iPad so much more pleasant, and secure, to hold in the hand. Since its been only a month or so that the Evo Shift came out, there isnt too many accessories you can buy yet except for the super expensive HTC brands and such. So I decided to try this case out, mainly because of the price. It came pretty quickly, around 2 business days. Its not too cheap feeling, and it looks quite good. Fits perfectly on the phone!The outside of the case has a good very thin texture that helps you grip the phone, but its not sandpaper-ish, nor is it really smooth like plastic. There are two pieces that fit on the phone, one on the front and one on the back. They both snap into place pretty easily, but I needed to take out the battery to activate the phone, and it took me a minute to take the back off. Luckily, im not planning on taking the back off again anytime soon, but it is a bit hard. Just make sure you look at it and find the best place to start the removal.
All the buttons, and the headphone jack, and the camera openings are perfectly made, no interruptions in accessing anything. Just to clarify, this case will not interupt the sliding action of the phone at all. And also slips right into my pocket very well, not bulky at all.
Overall: Great case at a even better price. Get them while they last! :)

It looks fine, and snaps on easily. My main complaint is that the case makes it substantially more difficult to slide out the keyboard. You really have to use both hands to get it out. I'm not sure if this is something that will loosen or become easier over time, as my phone is brand new. But I wouldn't recommend getting this is you're constantly using the slide-out keyboard. This stand is great. I take it with me everywhere my iPad goes. The stand is very compact and portable. When folded, it is small enough to fit with my iPad in a 10.2" net book sleeve. The stand adjusts to every angle you could want for both portrait and landscape use. It's great when resting it on a pillow while lying in bed or for placing on a lap desk. At night, I use this on my night stand to charge the iPad while it displays my night stand app and plays my audiobook. When reading, I put the iPad in this stand and sit and read in landscape mode. When I want to lie down and read, I lock the iPad in portrait mode, put it horizontally in this stand and lie down one my side to read the book 'sideways'. In the kitchen, it it my iPad cookbook stand. I am very happy I bought this. The iPad is stable and safe in the stand. It fits great, even with a clear protective case on the iPad. The only issue I have is that the charger will not fit with this in portrait mode. The stand is too low to the ground. However, this can be remedied by turning the iPad so the charger is on top. Very happy with my purchase. Would buy again!
Update 6/28/11 Just got another one for my sister and her iPad 2. Works great on that as well best portable stand for the money.Pros:
1. Folds down to a size akin to that of an eyeglasses case an ideal size for carrying and travel.
2. Very light perfect for carrying and travel.
3. Very sturdy when used (with iPad) on a clean, hard surface. The grips on the feet of this stand keep it stationary, and the stand does not move when I poke my iPad. I also own a leatherette iPad case/stand (it holds an iPad horizontally at adjustable angles), and it tends to move a lot when I use it as a stand on a hard surface and poke my iPad. The Arkon stand doesn't move at all.
4. Elegant design suitable for casual and professional use/occasions.
5. Practical design: The screws and nuts that hold the moving parts together are user-accessible (i.e., a user could tighten if necessary), and adjustments in angle are made via a kind of ratchet system (albeit plastic). I'd expected an adjustment system dependent on friction, and was pleasantly surprised to see that the Arkon stand uses what I'm describing as a ratchet-type system, because I would expect a system that depends on friction to loosen over time much faster than I think the ratchet-type system the Arkon stand actually uses will.
Cons:
1. As other reviewers have noted, when using the stand with an iPad, if you want to position the iPad vertically with the iPad's home button on the bottom, you will not be able to have the charger cord that comes with the iPad plugged in. This is hardly a deal-breaker, as you can always have the home button/charger port at the top if you must have the iPad charger cord plugged in (for use with the A/C adapter or with USB), and if you use the stand to hold an iPad horizontally, having the charger cord plugged in will be no problem. However, if you use the stand to hold an iPad vertically with the home button on top so you can use the charging port, you will not be able to use the audio out jack, because that will be on the bottom.
There are rubbery pads on the feet of the stand, and on the parts of the stand that touch the face of the iPad or whatever unit you use the stand to hold. I assume they are held in place with glue and may eventually come loose, but I expect that should that happen, it will easy to re-glue them.
The price of this unit has been fluctuating since I discovered it in Amazon's listings (visit camelcamelcamel and enter a product name or ASIN, etc., to see a chart of the item's price history at Amazon and by third-party sellers), but even at full list price it is a fair deal considering how overpriced so many (I'd say most) accessories for the iPad (and similar products) tend to be.
If you need an iPad stand for use at home (dining table, nightstand, coffee table, etc.), at a cafe, on a desktop at work or in a school, etc. you can pay more than you'll pay for the Arkon, but I doubt you'll find a better combination of form and function.
Highly recommended.My favorite accessory purchase for my Kindle Fire! I use it everyday at work I set my Kindle up and play music through it into a speaker. The stand is small enough to fit into the outside pocket of the Kindle's case, and it's easy to set up. So thankful for this, especially if I'm at a long game of Scrabble or playing other games... the Kindle weighs almost a pound and my arms get tired! Here are my pros and cons for this item:
CONS:
1) All of the other users are right, there is some awkwardness if you want to keep your Kindle in portrait mode (with plug at bottom) and charge it at the same time. The stand is small and and so does not hold your device very far from the table surface. If you plug the charging cable in at the bottom while it's in portrait mode, you may have to bend the cable it so that it fits, OR set the device at a very severe angle backwards (which makes it almost unusable). The best idea is to keep your device in landscape mode while charging OR turn it upside down in portrait mode aka with plug at TOP (from reading some other users' reviews... I don't think they know that you can flip the Kindle every which way and most apps will adjust and turn to fit). Even with these alternatives, this is still a little annoying for me, as my WordFeud game app (aka Scrabble) ONLY works in portrait mode, and ONLY the portrait mode where the charging plug is on the bottom (doesn't flip around to fit like other apps, sadly).
2) It seems to be made of lightweight and simple plastic. Opening it and closing it daily wears the plastic away very slowly. I'm very curious as to how long it will last me.
PROS:
1) I searched all around and wasn't able to find a product like this... it doesn't seem to have a competitor, so that made it an easy choice!! All of the other stands I found at the time were large, and I wanted something foldable and portable to bring with me everywhere, since I take my Kindle Fire everywhere.
2) It's SOO customizable!! Landscape or portrait mode, and every possible angle. Very easy to set up and adjust. Seems like it could hold anything with ease.
3) There is soft rubbery cushioning everywhere it's needed on this stand: on the bottom to prevent sliding, on the arm where the back of your device rests, and in the "slits" on the bottom 2 legs where the device rests. Absolutely zero worries about this stand scratching up my Kindle Fire.
P.S. I have a silicone cover on my Kindle Fire and no issues whatsoever, still fits just fine. This stand is a CHAMP, especially at this price! I would recommend this to anyone that owns or uses a tablet.
UPDATE 08/17/2012: The stand is STILL going strong, even with my daily use! No indication of wear at all... this thing is great. I recently travelled to Egypt, and had preloaded my Kindle Fire with all kinds of movies to watch. This stand was wonderful on the long plane ride it packed down very small in my purse, set up in 2 seconds, and it sat perfectly on the plane's fold-down tray and never budged thanks to the rubbery cushioning on the bottom. It's nice to have for travelling.
