Palm Zire m150 Handheld PDA

Palm Zire m150 Handheld PDAI bought my first Zire m150 7 years ago, and it still works fine. I use 3 laptops, and run the palm software on them all, and use the handheld to synchronize all three. My newest laptop ran Windows 7 at 64 bits, and I couldn't run the Palm software until I changed it to Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit. My datebook and address book are so useful to me that I wanted to do this! Committed to using the Zire for a few more years, I decided I needed a backup. Bought one that was new in the unopened plastic box, but it was DOA because of a dead battery. Had my tech friend put a new battery in (needed to solder the wires), and now I have two identical handhelds.

In should be obvious that I am clinging to some older technology that I am fond of. Some day I will get an Iphone (I use a tracphone now and buy minutes once a yearmy phone costs me about $8 a month!) and an Apple laptop and keep all this PDA date in the cloud and synch wirelessly between the devices, but I don't plan to do that for a few years. For now, my inexpensive laptops, inexpensive cell phones, and inexpensive Zire PDA are fill my needs just fine, and I'm saving some bucks.

I love my Palm Zire....I know that these days, with cell phones that have similar capabilities, the Palm Zire is being used less and less, but I don't like clogging up my phone with addresses and numbers that I don't use often. It is very useful to keep information of family and friends who live out of the country and that you don't have to contact that often without using the memory of my cell phone.

The description was correct, I did not need the accessories, so this was a good purchase for me. It was a used palm but in good condition as described. I received it before the expected date. I was thoroughly pleased.

Thought Out NAJA-KING-FORM Flexible Stand

Thought Out NAJA-KING-FORM Flexible StandThis is a well thought out (yay pun!) product that is practically perfect. I use it with my Otterbox-enclosed iPod Touch. To provide their famous protection, Otterbox cases are rather thick -around 0.5 inches, yet the NAJA King with Form holds it securely. I have had no problems with the iPod falling. It is also easy to insert and remove the iPod and all controls and ports remain accesible. The gooseneck is easy to adjust, yet remains in its pose during use or while being carried around the house. I love to use the NAJA King when lying in bed or sitting at the kitchen table to watch videos at eye level. I have also used it coiled to hang from my neck and it was quite comfortable. I'm disabled and the NAJA King has helped me get a lot of enjoyment out of my iPod while saving strain on my arms, back, neck, and eyes. I think it is an essential tool for disabled iPod users. I only wish I had found this product earlier. It took me over 4 hours of searching Google to find it. Why is such a great product so hard to find? I have recommended the NAJA King to everyone I know. You'll love it!

I have had the NAJA-King for over a year and it has been a constant companion. The flexibility of the product allows it to be used while traveling (in airports or on planes) or in the home/office environment. I've used the NAJA-King hooked around my neck (sitting at the gate in an airport waiting for a flight), as a short stand (on a back of seat airplane tray) and in other configurations. Just recently I decided to use my iPhone 3GS (I previously had a 1st gen iPhone that I used the NAJA-King with) to do some video, and in just a few minutes I had configured a way to extend the iPhone off the top of a chair.

The NAJA-King is easily configured to fit your iPhone whether in a case or not. It doesn't seem like the grips are made for constant readjustment, but I've adjusted mine three or four times (different iPhones, different cases) and everything still holds just fine. The NAJA-King's coil is it's coolest and most flexible feature, but to be as flexible as it is, the reality is that it can only be so stiff. Would I like it a bit stiffer? Sure (that's why I'm only giving it 4 of 5 stars it's not completely "perfect"), but does it work and does it work well enough for me to want to keep it and use it? For sake of a G rating, let me just say DARN straight.

When you're planning on configuring the NAJA-King, use a little common sense, you can't just configure a tiny loop at the bottom and extend the coil straight up and expect it to hold (a) the small loop won't provide a firm enough base, and (b) in order to bear the weight of the phone the coil needs to be flexed (that and if it's not, the phone would tip it right over). You'll find the coil to be very configurable, able to take many shapes. There's an oddity of the coil in that you can configure it in a specific way and the coil won't hold the phone, but if you just reverse it, it holds it perfectly. The key is to stop trying to make it hold your original way and to either reverse the loop or find a different point in the coil. As long as you don't keep trying to make a square peg fit in a round hole, you'll find it works surprisingly well.

Overall, I have been quite happy with my NAJA-King and I'm glad I have it. I think you will be too.

The reason I love this iPhone holder is because it is flexible.

Now, I would love to see a Gorilla TriPod iPhone holder but there isn't one.

You cannot coil it up more than 2-4 inches round, so you can't coil it around a thin pole for example.

I use it by coiling it 1 and a half times in a big circle to hold up my phone next to my laptop.

I have yet to figure out how to make it fit in my Car...

Unless you have the bigger/larger sized cupholders you can't fit the coiled NAJA in it.

AWESOME BONUS!: I seem to be getting 3 bars of AT&T when I usually don't get any or only 1.

I had been looking for a tripod type of stand for my Iphone for awhile now. I mainly wanted one so I can use my Iphone's video camera to film video reviews for Amazon purchased items. After much research I decided on this one. After its arrival I took it out of the box. It is basically a 3 foot long stretch of tubing that can be coiled to any height or configuration needed. The simplicity of this thing is the beauty and genius of it.

The top of the stand has a 7 pronged "hand" whose little "fingers" are supposed to hold your phone in place. It doesn't without a great amount of effort. The stand comes with a one sheet paper that has a picture of how you are supposed to bend the little fingers to cradle your phone. The fingers each have a little soft plastic jacket that can be removed if you need a more tight fit around your phone. The little paper drawing demo suggests that it is easy to bend these fingers. It is NOT easy. I hurt my own fingers trying to get these fingers around the edge of my phone. I had to first remove my Otterbox case (the product description states that I can use this product WITH my phone case in place), place my Iphone inside the fingers of the holder to get an idea of where the fingers had to grip my phone, then remove the phone and use a hard surface (my table top) to push the fingers in the position they had to go. I suppose I could have used pliers to accomplish that but didn't wish to hunt any down since I was under the impression I would not have needed them. After that initial molding of the fingers I then took my naked Iphone and pushed it up and under each finger to secure it. This whole process took about ten minutes. Hardly the easy insertion that is alluded to in the product description.

I originally was drawn to this product because of the possibility of manipulating the position of the phone while filming in as many directions and heights as I wanted (limited to the original 3 feet of length of course). However, one does need to consider the weight of your phone. I had to make a coil base of at least 7 inches in order to hold my Iphone on this stand so it wouldn't fall over. After I got the base figured out the remaining height was about 1 foot. But that was fine because I could still manipulate the holder itself in any direction (while it housed my phone) without the stand falling over. There really is a lot of flexibility with this product. Once you get your phone in you can rotate the head part of it vertically or horizontally.

I chose this particular phone holder instead of a traditional tripod because of its flexibility. The coiling feature allows me to wrap it around any object instead of just relying on a flat surface. At over $30 it seems pricey but the OTHER selling feature for me is that it is made in the USA. Anything not made in China will get my extra dollars any day. I recommend this product. Just be aware that the bending of the little prongs around your phone will be more difficult than you were led to believe.

Want Thought Out NAJA-KING-FORM Flexible Stand Discount?

Just got the stand last night. I bought it to use with my iPhone 4. I have a very low-profile case, and I found the "Form" to be easily adjustable so as to hold the phone securely. You just have to spend some time bending the rubber-coated prongs and adjusting until you get the right fit this is all explained clearly in the very brief instructional page that comes with the device. It's a little bulky, but that's what it takes to provide a fully adjustable and secure base. I can imagine many uses for this. I frequently use my phone for ebook reading, and tried using it last night, curled on my side with the coil secured under my pillow. It took a bit to get the right angle, and found that the phone starts to slowly sink toward the ground if you leave too much of the coil unsupported and parallel to the floor. This isn't a problem; you just have to get the angles correct for a your particular configuration desire. Note that you have to like the aesthetic. My wife hates it thinks it's _really_ ugly and is giving me a lot of grief about using it where she can see it.

Rugged Quad-Lock Belt Clip

Rugged Quad-Lock Belt ClipThis clip CAN"T be damaged...I've inadvertly tried MANY times! It doesn't come with the little button to attach to your phone...so buy the one that is needed for it or you will have to make one like I did. A normal plastic button won't work with it and even if you ground it down to fit, it would be the weak link and break anyways. If you like your phone on your belt and you break them all the time...buy this one. IT WILL OUTLAST YOUR BELT!

I have a very nice Rugged brand pouch for my cell phone but the clip broke. Nice to know that the money I spent on the pouch is still useable. Heavy duty, rugged steel clip. Good thinking.

Palm M125/m500u Sb Sync Cradle USB-a Pda 4.5

Palm M125/m500u Sb Sync Cradle USB-a Pda 4.5
  • Cradle includes full Hot Sync capability and synchronizes your data in seconds
  • Allows 5 different angle positions for individualized viewing preference
  • Weighs less than 4 oz
  • Folds completely flat for easy transport
  • Compatible with Palm m500

The concept is great, and the price is low. But, at least for my Palm m500, the little connector block just didn't stick out of the cradle enough to make contact without keeping my hand on the Palm to press it down.. so I disassembled the unit (5 screws 4 visible, 1 hidden under the sticker on the back ), used a paper knife to shave away at the plastic pins and ridges that prevented the connector from being repositioned, threw away the two little screws that kept it there, and used a glue gun to secure it just two millimeters or so higher. It works great now.

A minor issue is the light weight, but that is only a consideration when like me you're buying this as an alternative for the heavy official Palm cradle. Since it was meant as a foldable travel cradle, I should not complain.

White 360 Degree Rotating Leather Case Cover with Swivel Stand for Amazon Kindle Fire with Screen P

White 360 Degree Rotating Leather Case Cover with Swivel Stand for Amazon Kindle Fire with Screen Protector + StylusLove my new Kindle Fire case. Great value for the price. My only qualm is that the channels that allow you to prop the Kindle on it's side smudge the screen in two long lines when the case is closed. Not a real issue at all, but for a perfectionist like myself who hates smudges, it's a tiny pet peeve. Thanks for a great product and the quick shipping.

The product is very nice. The case never comes open on it's own and it stays pretty clean most of the time considering it is white. I love the ability to stand up the Kindle on it's own so then I don't have to hold it. Overall i love the case and the accessories were just a bonus.I loved this product and I reccomend others for it too.

Canvas Vertical Belt Clip Carrying Case #S3, Black

Canvas Vertical Belt Clip Carrying Case #S3, BlackGoing to give this as a gift, so far it seems like an okay quality but I wouldn't expect much of it. Its cheap and it should do.

I have a thin silicone skin on my new Razr Maxx HD and this case is a perfect fit for the Razr with the skin on it (or without the skin it is fine too). There is a belt loop and a clip that can go over the waistband of your pants and you can actually use both attachments at the same time. The quality of this item seems to be good, but I know that velcro used over and over will eventually wear out. For this reason, I am ordering a spare case for the future. The measurements on this case were very helpful when I was shopping for a case big enough for my new Razr. This case would be fine for the Razr HD too as it is slightly thinner than the Maxx. I like to have my phone with me on bike rides and hikes, so this case is a very secure way to carry the phone and the phone is not in my way as I exercise.

Mophie Workbook for iPad - Black

Mophie Workbook for iPad - BlackCustomer review from the Amazon Vine Program

UPDATE: After a couple of weeks of additional use... The best word to describe this case is "floppy." Watch the video review to see what I mean. It is just totally unstable and waiting for an accident except for when its sitting still on a table. I thought I may have been too hard on this case at first, but after more use I've confirmed in my mind that it's just too unstable for use in the hands. It's also not friendly as an e-book reader if you like to hold your iPad while you read. Great if it's just sitting on a table, but the thick binding when you fold the cover back makes it tedious to hold. And then when you close it, the flaps get all mixed up and it goes floppy again. FInally, the thick case takes away from the sleekness of the iPad.

---------

Quality of materials: Packages calls it "animal friendly," meaning the leather is synthetic. But it still looks and feels like a good quality material. The inside is a soft material, but it has already started catching pet hair, which weaves into the material . On the inside, the part of the case that holds the front of the ipad to the case is an elastic weave (three on the bottom, two on the right, and one big one on the top. On the left, the iPad is held in my a strip of fabric and velcro. Overall, the outer cover resists scuffs and does not collect stains like Apple's case.

Functionality: A band keeps the cover closed. It is secure and works fine. The cover serves as a stand courtesy of two small velcro strips on the side of the inner case. These strips cling to front inside cover. They advertise "infinite" angles, but this is between 90 degrees and 30 degrees. Angles less than 30 degrees don't actually attach via the velcro (there is a flap of leather that blocks the velcro. At these lower angles, the cover pretty much lays there unsecured at about 10 degrees and tends to bounce when tapped or typed on. But at the higher angles, the support is very good.

Protection: There are some open corners, so you won't get Otter Box-level protection. However, the padding is decent. I did find a bit of a balance issue when holding the case open like a book. The angle-viewing mechanism means that the back of the iPad is not fully attached to the back of the case. This means that it flaps open and can tend to swing around. My iPad almost took a tumble until I learned that you really need to hold this case with two hands.

Overall: A good case, but I still prefer my Otter Box case and neoprene sleeve setup. I do like the viewing angle functionality, but the the biggest drawback is the floppiness of the case when opened like a book. The hinge on the case behind the iPad, just allows for way too much swing.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I got my iPad not too long after they had come out. Apple was sold out of their cases (the one I really wanted). So, I settled for a Macally BOOKSTAND Protective Case and Stand for iPad case instead. While the MacAlly case was OK, I never really liked the bookstand function of it because it is actually fairly difficult to set up. The case is thin (which is a good and a bad thing) and while the feel of it was OK. I was concerned about it picking up dirt/oil from my hands with its faux suede feel.

The Mophie Workbook for iPad became available to me through the Amazon Vine program. I was toying with the idea of replacing the MacAlly with a genuine Apple case. But, I wasn't sure if it was worth the money. So, I jumped at the opportunity to try the Morphie for free and I'm glad I did.

The Mophie case is made of an animal friendly faux leather. Imitation leathers are getting so good these days it's hard to tell the difference and in addition it this product being "animal friendly", in a device like this I'd prefer the durability of the faux leather to real leather anyway. I did get the case in white. But, I'm confident that I'll be able to clean it should it get dirty. The iPad slips into the case easily. And, more importantly, it slips out easily. Mophie says you can charge and sync the iPad while in the case and you can. But, I bought a business card holder that I use as a stand when I charge my iPad and the case won't fit into that stand. So, I remove the iPad to charge it. However, since the Mophie case is so easy to use as a stand. I might just stop removing it to charge it. The case is pretty thick which is both a pro and a con. The thickness gives me the confidence that the iPad is protected from dropssomewhat. But, one of the things I love about the iPad is how thin it is. The case makes it about three times its thickness. So, when I'm just sitting on the couch, many times I'll slip the iPad out of the case. The Mophie Workbook does have a very nice soft feel to it though and the faux leather has just a slight bit of tackiness which makes it feel really good and secure in your hands. The case also has a very nice, easy to use closure on it. A simple gray elastic band slips over the front cover to hold it closed. Nothing elaborate and nothing that will break.

The best thing about the Mophie Workbook for iPad though has to be the versatility and ease of use of the stand function. One of my little peeves with the MacAlly case is the front cover bent in half. The break in the cover was the way you actually use the case as a stand. It didn't really effect the functionality of the case. I just didn't like that feel whenever I opened up the case. The Mophie has the break in the back. So, you don't get that every time you open it. More importantly though, the Mophie uses a velcro system so the front cover becomes the base and the iPad can be set at any angle from very low to just about 90 degrees upright for viewing on a tabletop. I was using my iPad as a cookbook a couple of days ago and discovered that the Mophie Workbook will also hold the iPad vertically. So, I used it to hold my recipe while I was working in the kitchen. It was a little of an awkward angle since it holds it completely upright. But, it was an undocumented "feature" that I thought was pretty cool.

Another just slight knock against the Mophie Workbook is the sleep switch at the upper right hand of the iPad is just a little hard for me to get to while the iPad is in the case. It's something I'll have to get used to. But, once I do, I'm sure it'll be fine.

Pros-

Good quality construction

Nice feel in the hand

Easy to use as stand

Infinite viewing angles when used as stand

"Animal friendly" faux leather

Provides some padding for iPad in case of falls

Stylish

Cons-

Makes iPad about three times as thick

Sleep switch on iPad is a little recessed from top of case

The Mophie Workbook for iPad is a little on the expensive side. But, I would easily choose it over the case I had previously in spite of its bulk. I haven't had the opportunity to have my hands on the Apple case. But, I think I would like this one better than that one, too. So, even though it is more expensive, I would recommend it.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program iPad is by far one of my favorite electronic devices. I've used iPod touch and iPhone for several years before getting the iPad, so I was familiar with iOS and I was aware of the limitations of a small-scale media device. iPad is an ideal device for browsing the web and casually enjoying rich media content. However, due to its much larger size as compared to other handheld devices it also feels much more susceptible to scratches and other damages. Keeping that in mind, it becomes absolutely essential to buy a protective case in order to fully protect your iPad. Morphie's workbook is one of the best such cases, and just like other higher end iPad cases it doubles as a stand. This greatly improves its functionality.

One of my favorite things about Morphie's workbook is its design. It is made out of sturdy, elegant faux leather, and when fully closed it looks like a high quality personal journal. The faux leather is also very easy to clean and maintain, and although my case is white I don't feel apprehensive of it getting the "dirty" look over the prolonged use.

The inner case that actually holds the iPad is soft yet form-fitting. It was actually a bit of a challenge to insert my iPad in its proper place, but once it was inside the iPad fit very snuggly and there was no unwanted jiggling. The soft padding on the back provides extra cushioning and protection, although I would not trust this case to protect the iPad from a major drop.

The case is very well designed and all of the ports and controls are fully accessible. You can turn your iPad on and off, adjust the volume, or charge it without ever having to remove it from this case. In fact the only occasion that I can imagine that you would want to take your iPad out of this case would be for the purposes of thorough cleaning.

As mentioned earlier, this case doubles as a stand for your iPad. The small Velcro fasteners enable iPad to be positioned under any viewing angle. The stand unfortunately only works in the landscape mode, but that doesn't seem to be much of a problem as most of the purposes that I would want a stand for my iPad require it to be in a landscape mode.

I was a bit apprehensive about adding extra bulk to my iPad when I use it as a reading device. However, this stand feels incredibly good when held, and the extra thickness actually feels more comfortable as my writs don't feel too cramped any more.

Overall, this is an incredibly stylish, functional and durable iPad case and I would recommend it as one of the best designed iPad accessories out there.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I am a very regular iPad user. As such, I have trialed many case and carrier combinations. This morphie represents my trials with the 'portfolio' school of thought of ipad carriers. as it turns out, i decided not to go with a 'portfolio' style solution for my ipad use, but even if i did, i'd rate this just 'ok.' Thw quality is fine, but nothing spectacular better than the cheapest chinese junk to be sure, but not so nice that you'd impress anybody. it looks like something which you'd buy at officemax for $20, or $9.99 on sale. the material is reasonably stiff, and while it certainly provides some protection to an ipad (which actually need far less than people, including myself, instinctually think), it's not as nice as my preferred solultion (see last paragaph). however, it does take up less space than m preferred solution.

if you use an ipad in a work environment and you are one of the few people who don't habitually pass the ipad to other people, then this may be ok. but in general, it looks like something wit too many 'moving' parts that will get dirty and wear out quickly. i use the ipad for watching movies, too,and the way this morphie has a built in stand is ok, but for me i'd just as soon hold the thing. i have yet to be in a location where if i do want to stand the thing up to watch a movieat a distance, i can't find some small object nearby that will do the trick.

if i wanted a portfolio type thing, i'd spring fror one of the 'expensive' ones with nice brown genuine leather. and i'd want one that zips up completely (though there are few of those).

after some experimentation, i have concluded that the portfolio school is not for me. thest folder style things are just not useful for the sort of real life use for my ipad. rather, i have gone to a 3 pronged approach of a sheet of protective film for the front glass (everybody should have this), a rubber-esqe guard for the back not very sleek, but protects well and gives a good holding surface), and a neoprene netbook pouch (with suitcase like handles) to carry the thing provides protection, is handy to carry, and has a pocket for connection cable / power block and cleaning sham).

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The mophie looks good, even stitches, my is bright orange and has a chemical smell

that has yet to go away. The orange color is nice when looking for your iPad in a bag or

on a table full of books and such. I wanted to try this one for it's multiple positioning,

which for me is it's best quality, making it easy to use almost anywhere even on your

lap. It adjust by sticking with Velcro. I give it 5 star for that feature. It is a bit bulky as I

am comparing it to my original apple case which I love, I just needed more screen

adjusting abilities which again is what I love about the mophie. I do wish the interior

frame was black because if the iPad is loose it goes crooked and that's a distraction for

me. The reason it can go crooked is there is one small Velcro that holds the iPad in the

case allowing it to wobble. I give it a 3 star because of smell and the wobble even

though I love the screen adjustment, I won't be giving up my original apple case anytime

soon.

  • 2000 mAh ULTRA High Capacity, 3.7V, with Longer Runtime
  • Li-Ion Rechargeable Internal Battery for Dell Axim X3, X3i, X30
  • Made from High Quality Japan Cells
  • 100% compatible with original batteries and chargers

Bought this battery for my Axim X30 624Mhz. Haven't owned the battery all that long but I did do a bit of testing and got more then twice the battery life on my Axim. (About 9 hours usage time as a text file/ebook reader vs 4 hours with stock 950 MaH battery.) Fits in the original Dell case that I have and fits in the original cradle just fine. (Both alone and attached to the Axim.) It will take longer to charge because of the increased capacity. (But you won't have to charge it quite as often so IMHO it balances out.)

It's got a very snug fit, so it took some time to get the thing on. On the other hand, that makes me less worried about it coming off it I were to drop the Axim. Not sure why it's called an X1111 battery, it should be considered a W1359 equivalent. (In other words, it's an alternative to the Dell 1800 MaH extended battery which looks much the same.) The X1111 is the stock 950 MaH battery that's flush with the back of the case. (AKA the smaller Axim battery. :) )

Keep in mind that not all cases may work with the extended battery. The original Dell case is one that does. (And that's probably why they made the sides elastic, to fit their 1800 MaH version.)

I'll keep it short and sweet.. It works as advertised and more. I love it, and I just ordered two more so I have a good lead time before needing recharging. The ONLY drawback is that the battery extends from the back of the body so it might not fit some cases, but they are available for it and tell you they will fit the extended battery.

My advice is " Try it, you'll like it.

Much longer life than the originals that I bought with the device. I was skeptical, but am very pleased. The PDA with the fat battery even still fits in the original leather flip case I got for the X30.

The listing states these are 2000 mAh but what I received are 1700 mAh. What I received are the batteries shown in this listing: "HQRP 1700mAh Battery compatible with Dell Axim X3 X3i X 3 PDA Model Replacement plus HQRP Universal Screen Protector." But I did not receive the Screen Protector that would have come with that item. I ordered two of these batteries and, so far as I can tell, they are ok. Just got them today and am still charging the first one. If I have any problems with these batteries, I'll amend this review.

My AXIM is old and not good for much but it is an excellent Mp3 player and I use it to check my shell account email. This battery lasts for a very long time. A+++!

I did not realize that the new phones did not work with the old pencil eraser. This product makes it easy to use my phone again. The light and laser pointer come in handy and are always with me since it's all in one handy unit. I would recommend this product to friends and family, or anyone else with big thumbs.

HP iPAQ h4355 Pocket PC with integrated Wi-Fi and backlit keyboard

HP iPAQ h4355 Pocket PC with integrated Wi-Fi and backlit keyboardThis is an excellent Pocket PC. It may do more than an ipod. 400MHZ processor. Works with a 4GB non-HD SD card for music and programs. Very good quality. I recommend tapeing the screen to keep from scratching the glass to protect the display screen. Wifi works just fine 802.11b.

I have unusual needs in a portable device. I needed a good and well integrated calendar, good note taking, an active task list, and a keyboard. I tremor and find that touch screens dislike me hugely. Although the iPAQ is a nearly ten year old design, it works well for me. It is not so good at WiFi connectivity, with only b type, but it will so emails and Twitter (Parts of my job as autism / disability advocate} well. It is my work tool and shopping list and alarm clock and always there to remind me of an appointment even when my absent minded professor nature takes me off point! I also admit that I like its nature, it is a tool and not a toy. Nothing trivial about it. It is a keeper.

Pandigital SCN02 Photolink One-Touch Scanner with Memory Card

Pandigital SCN02 Photolink One-Touch Scanner with Memory CardI purchased this unit for a very specific reason. I have thousands of old photos that probably would not benefit from a high res scan since they do not look all that great as pictures. Many are of family and pets and thus I would like to keep them and display them using my digital frame. The idea that I could scan pictures in on a table top without a computer was very appealing. When the unit arrived, I read the instructions. It tells you to use these clear plastic sleeves (one for 3x5 and another for 4x6) to scan your photos. Don't. These things are poorly designed and will either not catch properly on the unit causing numerous rescans or it will create lines on the photo. It tells you in the packaging that they are to protect your photo. Nonsense. I have scanned a lot of pictures without them and there has not been even a hint of a problem. Once I ditched the sleeves and scanned directly in to the unit, I was quite pleased. Just be aware that it crops a few mm's off your original. The final product is respectable. You get a 1.5 mega pixel jpeg for 3x5 and a 2 mega pixel jpeg for 4x6's. This is fine for displaying on a digital frame but hardly high enough resolution to do any real editing to or print enlargements. I have used up to 4 gig Utra II SD cards and they work fine. There is also a compact flash slot so you can make use of some old cards if they are sitting around. Bottom line, it works as advertised but the final product is hardly a comparison for even a low cost flat bed scanner.

This is great for doing 300dpi scans. It is so fast and quicker much faster than placing photos in a desktop scanner. I have been impressed with the results and can easily sit and scan hundreds of photos (up to a 4x6 size) while watching tv. The quality is great. I would highly recommend this PanDigital scanner to anyone who took tons of photographs and wants to have them on their computer or just to create digital images for backup. If there were ever an emergency, it is far easier to run out of the house with a memory card rather than boxes and boxes of photos. So far, I have scanned about 4000 photos and very happy with the results. Would love to see PanDigital come out with a higher DPI unit. I would be first in line to purchase.

I bought this scanner to scan several photo albums and many boxes of prints that I have. Some are old, one-of-a-kind family photos that go back to early in the last century.

This scanner screamed through my grandmother's album (with 400+ photos). I was able to scan them all in about 2 hours. That's incredible. However, I didn't run into a few issues:

1) Some photos just won't feed straight and you end up with a funky curve in the photo.

2) Some photos get stuck and need help. These photos end up with a lot of leading or trailing bogus data.

3) Some old photos from the 40's/50's are tiny. These really need a higher resolution scanner to be useable.

There are a couple of things that would definitely improve this scanner. A battery so that it could be used without plugging it in and a way to more securely put in a SD card. That way I could through this in a backpack and just use it.

Even with these issues, it's a very nice addition to flatbed scanner, but it's not a replacement.

I purchased the digital scanner after reading the reviews aware of the potential scan line problem. While initially happy with the scanner after trying a couple of scans, my optimism turned to disappointment as the infamous "scan line" appeared. I consider myself technically proficient and have tried all the manufacturers cleaning and problem corrections (and even disassembled the unit and cleaned the roller but nothing worked and the very prominent scan line problem persists. While the unit is extremely fast in scanning photos, the scan line problem overrides its efficiency. So, essentially, this piece of equipment is now a paperweight as the photo scans are unusable. I'll revert to my larger desktop but slower CanoScan 8600. I gave it a shot. Maybe pandigital will improve their product to permanently fix the problem.

I got so tired of using my flatbed scanner to back up the thousands of photos that I had laying around that I had to find something more effective and this was the ticket! I purchased the scanner and while watching a couple movies I scanned over 2000 photos. That would have taken forever on my flatbed scanner. I am using with windows 7 so I know it works on that too.

PDair Leather Case for HTC Velocity 4G X710s - Book Type (Black)

PDair Leather Case for HTC Velocity 4G X710s - Book TypeI love this case, it's my second. I first put a silicon case on the phone then slide it into this case. It's light, soft to touch, easy to hold in one hand while manipulating your thumb to open or close the screen cover and to work the phone. It offers fantastic protection. The only downside to this case is the belt clip. It has a removable two piece swivel clip one piece attaches to the belt and the other, fixed to the phone, clips into the belt piece. Good idea, but I prefer the blackberry approach which carries the whole clip w/the case. I actually cut the leather backing and clip from an old blackberry case and stitched it onto this case.
