This is really cute. I bought this for my grand daughter. She didn't like the color of her DSi and for some reason they never exchanged it. So I bought her this. It's a great way to dress up the game, and there are tons of designs/pattern out there to choose from.

MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE RIGHT ONE FOR YOUR DSI. THERE ARE 3 SIZES!! And follow the instructions.

The blue matches her dsi exactly. It was easy to put on. Make sure the game is cleaned and there are no oily finger prints from potato chips on it. Darn kids and their chips!!

The directions say not to play with it for two hours to let the decals set. My grand daughter was handling hers right away and some of the edges weren't sticking well. So it will be hard for me to determine how long these will last with this skin. But she's happy with it, and they're inexpensive enough to be able to replace every 6-12 months if needed.

Scrabble SCR-228 Players Dictionary

(The 5 star rating is based on the assumption that you're a Scrabble player; this product wouldn't be very useful to non-players.)

This is an electronic version of the Official Scrabble Player's Dictionary 4th Edition (OSPD4), with some features that make it much more valuable than the print edition. It's more compact, and it is a lot faster to look up a disputed word than flipping through the book. It also has a few games to help sharpen your word skills and a "build" function that lets you enter your rack and get a list of all the words that can be formed from those letters, highest-scoring to lowest-scoring.

But what really makes this more valuable than the print version is a neat undocumented feature. As you may know, the OSPD4 says on the cover "Endorsed by the National Scrabble Association for recreational and school use." That's right, the "Official Scrabble Player's Dictionary" is not really official. For club and tournament play they use the "Official Tournament and Club Word List" (OTCWL or OWL2). This is because as of OSPD3 a lot of "offensive" words (cuss words, ethnic slurs) were removed from the dictionary. These words are still permitted in tournament play. You won't find this in the instructions, but you can turn the SRC-228 into an OWL2 dictionary by doing the following: at the "Ready" prompt, type in **otcwl and press "Enter." The "Ready" prompt will be replaced with "Search OTCW List" and you will now be able to check a lot of new words. It will only give a definition for the OSPD4 words, but it will say "Correct Word" for the OWL2 words. These words will also show up on your "Build" list. Besides the naughty words, OWL2 also adds a lot of words that are trademarks such as "Kleenex" and "Aqualung." This feature will stay in effect until you change the batteries or disable it. **otcwl acts as a toggle, so if don't want the kids to have access to these words, just enter it again and it reverts to OSPD4.

Note that like the printed version, the electronic version only contains words up to 8 letters in length (with the exception of inflected forms of those words). So a correct word like "submariner" would not be found in it. You'll need an extra dictionary if someone plays a bigger word. (This doesn't happen that often.)

Scrabble SCR-228 Players Dictionary

Franklin used to make a electronic Scrabble dictionary (based on the third edition of the official printed dictionary) that was the size of a credit card, easy to use and read, and could "travel" with little hassle due to its size. No more. They still make the model SCR-226 which is identical in appearance to the SCR-228 but also is based on the OLDER edition. Search the boxes in vain for the small print that explains the differences between 226 and 228. The SCR-228 is updated to the fourth edition. It's still easy to use, but the much larger letters, ironically, are a bit harder to read due to the huge display. Works fine, but why not continue to make a smaller, cheaper, just-as-good version?

You can tell this model from the 226 by a slightly different color pattern and perhaps a little bit more readable screen.

But the big difference in this machine is that tho it has given us qi and za to use, it has taken away a lot of the old staples. What it has taken out is all the words that you would look up as a kid that were "naughty" and all the terms that were in the old dictionaries that had "offensive term" behind it.

But overall, it is an improvement in programability from the first credit card dictionary tho I have to say I miss the size and feel of the old ones.

This is pretty awesome. It has several functions and if you're either an avid player or encouraging growth of vocabulary in another (like your kid) it's well worth the price.

One of the more impressive features is that it can tell you possible plays provided what's on the board and the letters you have. Really good way to learn new words.

To begin with, it should be realized that this is not a general purpose dictionary; it's specifically designed for Scrabble players. That's why all the definitions of each word are not given.

As noted in Steve Keeley's very helpful review, it can be converted to the Official Word List -the unexpurgated one -and it can be used to find all possible official words in any rack. The word games that are included are fun to play, too.

There is a useful feature that's not in the printed instructions, but appears by pressing the HELP button when defining words. To scroll to the right to see the entire definition, it's not necessary to hold down the right arrow; just press ENTER again and the scrolling is done automatically.

The four AAA batteries that are required are not included, so it's a good idea to have them ready, as well as a small Phillips screwdriver, which you'll need to take the cover off the battery compartment. There's no need to put the screw back on when you replace the cover; it will be secure enough without it. In fact, once you get the cover off -which can be a struggle -you might want to put it back by pressing it down just enough to hear a click; it will save you a lot of trouble later. Once you get that done you'll be free to enjoy this device without any further difficulties.

Peel off the horizontal strip with the word CHAMPION on it; now the display is unobstructed. But don't try to remove the square piece of plastic

that covers the entire device -its function is to protect against wear and smudges.

To conclude: I highly recommend the Franklin 228 for Scrabble® players.

I gave these the 5 star rating because the refills write smooth and as good as an expensive pen. These are a must have if you have the Limir stylus and dont want to run out of ink. The refills last a long time as well.

I really enjoy this Stylus/Pen combo! The stylus is very comfortable and feels very well made in terms of weight... has a very nice weight to it. The Pen is a twist pen with black refills. The pen writes beautifully smooth and has a nice fine point (I'm an EMT so having a black, fine-point pen is essential). When I got the free refill pack it actually was a 5-piece refill pack! (great bonus!) I will certainly be ordering more refills. I think the ink will run out fairly quickly, but that's also because I use it constantly, but the refills are really rather reasonably priced!

I had searched the web to figure out which screen protectors to purchase for my Tungsten E2 and these were recommended. I must say I'm very happy with my choice. They arrived quickly, are easy to apply, easy to push out air bubbles, and have no smudges, scrapes, or other marks (the original protector which came with my palm PDA was awful!) I would purchase again without hesitation.

I never knew I needed a screen protector until my old Palm gave out completely due, no doubt, to terminal scarring on the screen. A protector came with the Tungsten E2, but it was hard to apply without bubbles and wasn't very clear. This one is great--it comes with a well-designed little device to apply it without any bubbles, and once applied, it is invisible but thick enough to provide the screen with real protection. I think it also noticibly diminishes glare. It seems expensive, but I'm guessing that it will prolong the life of my pda.

I just wasted $16.35 on this piece of junk. It arrived quickly, and became unusable even faster.

For those of you used to disposable screen covers, there is only one in this package! The instructions say you can clean it, but it came out of the packaging with lint on it, which immediately adhered to the sticky side, and could not be cleaned off.

Since the package was opened, it could not be returned.

The ePods-1 is highly recommended as a versatile device. While it comes dedicated to the ePods service, it should be noted that as a WindowsCE device, it is also capable of much more (including the playing of WindowsCE games). You can surf the net and download some WindowsCE games into it. To save on its limited amount of memory, you can buy a CompactFlash card... and store your programs in that, thus freeing the ePods-1 from one of its several memory limitations. All in all, this is a fine little unit that is easy to hold and easy to carry. Its built-in holder for the stylus is very convenient. A special feature is the on-screen keyboard. Press the keyboard button once, and you have the as-expected little tiny keyboard that you poke with the stylus. But press it again and the screen halfway fills up with a large keyboard that you can actually use two fingers to poke at. If you are a touch-typist, it takes very little time before you are using both index fingers to touch type even those longer missives you love to send to your significant other. It's the fastest, easiest PDA on-screen keyboard I've ever used! The USB ports (there are 2) support use of MS-compatible keyboards right away; I took the unit to a computer store and started plugging in various USB keyboards (they worked!) without the need to load any drivers or fool with anything. As soon as I started typing on the external USB keybard, the letters started appearing on the ePods-1 screen. Very nice! And now, I've gotta get going and put the infamous Solitaire onto the ePods-1...

Part PDA-part computer, the ePods EP1 is as close to a space-age Etch-A-Sketch as you can get; and the price is right. Supports plenty of standard USB and PCMCIA add-ons and can be easily made to work with internet providers other than the ePods service. I have been searching for a device like this for some time now. The Palm is great but serves as merely an organizer. The websurfing on my Palm 7 is minimal and I can't stand the text-based experience. Although the ePods product is tethered to the wall, the ability to surf the web from any room in my home is remarkable. I bought three of the units and used them up to a year ago. There is a Windows XP hack for the system that works quite well. The problem was that the Windows CE OS that the system uses is no longer supported, and the web browser is based on IE 5. There is no IE 6 or above for the device, so most websites (today) could not be used.

Does wireless nicely, used it for AOL IM and for a PowerPoint slideshow viewer. Nice system!

In 2009, perhaps it's overzealous to try to connect the ePods to the Internet (what with network encryption), but that's not why I purchased one. I was looking for a lightweight document reader with a big screen, and that's exactly what I got.

The visible screen measures 6 3/4" x 5" (17 x 13 mm). It handles .doc, .rtf, .txt, and .html files, amongst others.

The ePods was originally designed with a proprietary Internet service, but it's easy to bypass the logon requirements. Select the username field and type ctrl-31415.

Don't expect the USB ports to work with a flash drive. I purchased a compact flash card and a USB compact flash card reader, and it's a breeze to transfer files from my laptop to the ePods and back.

Standard USB keyboards work without additional drivers, but I'm content with the on-screen keyboard and stylus. If the battery is in good condition, as mine is, one can get five hours or more of continuous use between charges.

I bought this product to go with my HP Officejet 6310 All in one Printer. It was very easy to set up and now works great. Wether I am sitting on my bed or in the kitchen, I can print anything. There were two negitive things about this product. First the blinking blue light is very annoying, I just covered it up with some duct tape, second you can only print wirelessly. If you want to scan something, you need to connect via USB cable, usually not included with a printer. So if you buy a printer and the bluetooth adapter, make sure you pick up a cable if your looking to do other things besides print.

I called Hp tech support and after 45 min they couldn't get it to work either and explained I would only be able to print not use bidirectional scanning from the printer to scanner and suggested I return it. I bought it through amazon but it was shipped from Tech Depot an affiliated company of Office Depot and they said since I opened it that I could not return it. How was I supposed to know it wouldn't work without opening, I won't shop from office depot or Tech depot again.

I bought the product with the intention of printing from across my house. The room I'm printing from and the room with the printer aren't separated by any walls, so there shouldn't be a problem. Checked the manuals and it said there was a range of 30m. Took the measurement and found it to be only 50 feet, about half the distance that was advertised. I reconfigured their positions, and still nothing would work. The printer didn't have a problem as it's brand new and ideally should work, but nothing good has come. I resorted to the old fashion USB way. Another miss by HP.
