PalmOne 81851PLMIN Palm Stylus and Pen 3-Pack for Treo 750

PalmOne 81851PLMIN Palm Stylus and Pen 3-Pack for Treo 750It's confusing looking for a replacement stylus for a Treo there are many different types. These came three to a pack with two different heads to screw on (one type for another Treo product and one for the 750). They are very high quality and also include pens in the stylus. They are also much cheaper than you find elsewhere.

product received was exactly as offered -delivered in an expeditious manner. Very satisfied.

For phone calls or listening to music it has no problems but when I try to listen to FM radio it doesn't work very well. For the radio I hear a lot of static unless I put my fingers around the plug that goes into the phone. I was able to fix the problem with the radio reception by wrapping some aluminum foil around the plug so it seems that by itself this headset doesn't serve as a good antenna but it works well as one after my modification. I like that the headphone part of the headset which is attached to the microphone module by a 1/8" stereo connector can be removed and replaced by a different one or used by itself with a different audio device.

Update 5/30/2012: After carrying this in my jacket pocket I noticed that one of the earbuds had come apart although I don't think I subjected it to any abuse. I superglued it back together and expect it to be just as good as before.

I finally found an earbud that works with the Pantech Laser ! The other great thing is it is a 2 part set. I converts the Pantech Laser mini USB male cord to a 3.5 mm female jack. Then the ear bud as the top is a "normal" 3.5mm ear bud with a standard 3.5 plug that plugs into the adapter. The only drawback is the cord on the ear bud at the top is to short. I wanted to use it as a stand alone device to listen to music on an airplane by plugging into the airlines 2.5 plug, It works.....but the cord is too short to strectch from the arm rest to your ear ! Does anyone know how to get MORE VOLUME out of the Pantech Laser.? The speaker phone is great, but the volume thru the headphone jack is VERY low. Not the fault of this ear bud. That problem is due to the phone itself.

Palm Treo 650 and 700p 700W Stylus Pen - Sealed Palm Retail Packaging - 3 Pack

Palm Treo 650 and 700p 700W Stylus Pen - Sealed Palm Retail Packaging - 3 PackContrary to the product description, these are not the stylus' with a built-in pen.

Also, my order for three was in a ziplock bag and not the original Palm packaging.

Still, an exact match so I am sure they were made by Palm.

Regardless, completely satisfied with the purchase.

Really impressed by how quick they arrived and they work terrific if you have lost this piece of the phone these are invaluable Good Price too!!!!

I have an Ipad and an Iconia tablet, sometimes the Iconia will let me use a hard stylus to draw. I thought these Treo styluses would be perfect, but they won't work on the Iconia or the Ipad. It was worth a shot to me anyway! The price on these is great (I paid something like $5 for three) and they have a pen inside them! If my Palm wasn't about 100 years old these would be great for me.

HP iPAQ 2215 Pocket PC

HP iPAQ 2215 Pocket PCShould you get a PocketPC? Should you get the Ipaq H2215? Depends of course on what you want to do, what difference it will make in your life, is it worth the money. The price of the unit is without a memory card...and yes you will need a memory card. I have a 1GB card and it was worth the money. Was the Ipaq worth it? For me yes.

I also bought a foldable keyboard so add that to the price. I am a graduate student and I bought the Ipaq knowing it had a recording function. This is very handy for me in interview situations. I like being able to display PDFs, PowerPoints (not very usable but a nice 'toy' this since the slides are so small), word documents, EXCEL, etc. The addition of the keyboard actually allows me to create files and I really like the size of the Ipaq even with keyboard compared to a laptop.

Of course it is not all work. I had an audible.com subscription for a couple of years and can play my library on this. If you have never tried audible with a pocketpc...it is a worthwhile experience. I am an avid reader but I have found that there are times when listening to a book is just the thing. With 1GB it is not an Ipod but it gets the job done for me and the sound is very good with MP3s. Add avantgo, ebook reader, and ahem, Pocket Everquest and it is a pocket entertainment center.

It is also extemely verstile. To get an idea of what a pocket PC can do for you visit a website that had downloads of applications. I found a very nice scientific calculator with graphing functions that would be at least $70 or more dollars for $12 as a download today. I am also trying out something called pocket earth that is very interesting.

Why 4 stars? I didn't really need bluetooth and there are other products out there a bit less exsepsenive if you don't need that. But HP customer service is A1. If you ask an email question they usually reply within 24 hours although for my old Jornada it use to be within in an hour. The unit comes with a CD-ROM with multiple utlities that you will find useful. In addition to price (and it is a very fair price btw overall) I feel the battery life could be better. Granted size played into that but you will find yourself recharging quite often. In a way that is a backhanded good thing though, it means you are finding uses for it, even if they are frivolous. So if you are willing to spend the money for the unit AND the money for a memory card big enough to serve your needs AND the money for a keyboard if you plan on actually creating documents with the Ipaq and it still seems worth it, enjoy your new pocket computer and your new toy. I am.

I owned Palm Vx for 3 years and finally found a decent color PDA that is sleek withhout sacrificing any features:

PROS

Sleek

Great navigation button for game lovers (even sony CLIE's aren't close)

Integrated bluetooth

Good display and good speed

HP support was good when I had problem setting up AvantGo

Even though HP doesn't mention bundled software, they did infact bundle quite good collection of software which I think is around [money amount]worth.

The synchronization software that comes with Palm is useless. You have to buy additional software and configure it to really get all the contact information mapped to the Outlook contact fields. If you are going to synchonize with Outlook, think no other than Pocket PC based PDA.

CONS

Notes support in Pocket PC sucks. PDA device vendors should start bundling HPC Notes software along with this until Microsoft decideds to make it better. Can't even filter notes by categories.

Carry case should be flip-open type. You have to take the PDA out before using it.

CONCLUSION

Even if money is no constraint, I would still go for this model.

I still can't understand why it takes Sony so long to come up with a good mix of features that is sleek. Inspite of being a big Sony fan, I wouldn't pay $800 for Sony PEG-UX50.

Add value to your PDA by buying Pocket Informant or Agenda Fusion.

I gave 4 star instead of 5 because:

I want it to be as sleek as iPAQ h1910 with iPAQ h2215 feature set

Software like HPC Notes is not bundled

Buy HP iPAQ 2215 Pocket PC Now

If you are like me, you just want a good reason to buy the Pocket PC you are now looking at. BUY IT!

Why? Because the OS software and Sync software loads and operates flawlessly. HP answered every complaint ever made about PDA's from its competitors and its own PDA products. This machine tops them all. It was my last machine to review after three days of intense research. When I went to buy the second best, this unit had just hit the rack. After working with it and despite the fact there were no reviews out by other users, I took a chance because it looked and worked absolutely perfect. In the electronics department, this was one the smartest moves I ever made.

Before this, I didn't know what to buy: Pocket PC or Palm. How glad I am that I chose the IPAQ H2215. I am a minister of the gospel and loaded this thing with Bible software, a mini-word processor heavy weight programs and they work like a dream. It is not a toy or a gadget it is a wonderful tool!

The battery is replaceable and operates a good 5-6 hours in heavy use. The cradle connection is solid; there is no doubt that you are charging the unit. There is a place on the charger for a second battery, as the battery can be replaced by the user. Also, there is an adapter to permit you to charge on the road, without the cradle. Nothing extra to buy.

It uses both CF (compact flash) and SD Card, has blue tooth installed and the screen is marvelous. The processor is lightning fast. The unit fits in your shirt or pants pocket easy enough. If you work a lot away from the office or home desk top, this is the unit you want.

Buy it!

I waited a long time for the new models to come out and ordered the 2215 as soon as it was available. It was worth it.

First off, let me say that the software upgrade from 2002 to 2003 is barely noticeable, except for a few connectivity features, one of which I've found very helpful. This version has a good Bluetooth Manager that makes connecting to a Bluetooth cell phone (such as a Sony/Ericsson T68) easy. With this feature, the cell phone can be used as a modem with a dialup internet service (e.g. MSN or Earthlink) for net access from anywhere with free nights and weekends, and in addition to the included email software and Internet Explorer just about all the net software you could want is available for PocketPC AIM, ICQ, IRC, SSH.... If you want Wifi you'll need a CompactFlash addon card.

Pocket Word and Excel are useful but don't expect to write a book on it without an addon keyboard. The iPaq picture viewer with slideshow and thumbnails is a nice touch, works very well with the CompactFlash card from my digital camera.

As far as the hardware, you get 400MHz, 64MB, 2 kinds of expansion slots, Bluetooth and a very nice screen in a package that's an inch shorter and a fair bit sleeker than older iPaqs definitely pocketable. The battery life is a good 8 hours (less if you're doing battery-draining things like running the screen at full brightness or playing Age of Empires). 64MB sounds like a lot but you'll use that up pretty quickly if you start installing software or downloading e-books fortunately a Secure Digital expansion card works seamlessly and doesn't add to the size or weight of the device.

One complaint the rubber grips on the sides are not attached as securely as I would have expected, and they are coming off. I fixed this with superglue.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Addendum, one year after purchasing:

The rubber grips came off completely, and I ended up calling HP about a week before the warranty ran out. They sent me new ones, no charge, and replacing them is very easy. I'm pretty sure they came off because the slip cover they include rubs against them, so I still recommend this PDA highly but advise you to get a different case for it.

Want HP iPAQ 2215 Pocket PC Discount?

I've been using Palm and Pocket PC / Windows CE devices for almost seven years now. Palm Pro, Palm IIIx, Visor, Visor Edge, several Clies, Nino, iPaq 3600, iPaq 3800, Jornada, Cassiopeia, Maestro, Razor Zayo...I'm hardly a newcomer here.

That said, every device had some sort of flaw. PalmOS was too limited to be a decent value, while Pocket PC / CE devices were too heavy to keep in my pocket. Finally, HP got it right.

The h2215 is the perfect balance between a powerful OS, powerful hardware, and a device you can truly keep in your pocket. The expansion options are absolutely wonderful -you've got CF I/II and an SD slot that supports SDIO, so you'll always be able to have extra memory, without sacrificing wireless connectivity.

While Pocket PC 2003 isn't much different than 2002 in terms of cosmetics, it's a huge leap forward in terms of stability and ease of use. Connecting to wireless networks is a snap, and I've yet to have anything cause me to do a reset.

The h2215 is light, and easy to hold. The rubberized grips are absolutely perfect -just light enough to keep the unit firmly in your hand, but not as uncomfortable as the grips on the side of the Dell Axim.

The best part (at least for me) is that old iPaq accessories work on the h2215. I was able to pull the sync cable I bought for my old 3800-series out of the closet, and plug it right in to the 2215 without any problems.

This is truly the best PDA I've ever carried. At this price, it's a steal.

Battery for Amazon Kindle, Kindle D00111

Battery for Amazon Kindle, Kindle D00111I was pleased that this battery looked almost identical to the failing one in my 1st Gen Kindle. The only difference was the wires, which were half an inch longer than the original. (About double) I used some care in folding the wires gently into the gap at the top end of the battery so the cover would fit back on, and it went back together fine. The battery fits exactly into the battery slot. It is all charged up and working great

In spite of a shipping delay, (not the sender's fault) the shipment arrived promptly as described.

Tech Armor Apple New iPad Mini Frosted Clear TPU Flex Case

Tech Armor Apple New iPad Mini Frosted Clear TPU Flex CaseAfter already purchasing the i-Blason alternative ( I'm so glad I stumbled upon this.

This case fits the mini perfectly, and unlike the i-Blason case it sports two supports on the bottom opening to hold the lip in place and hopefully increase durability.

The case is crystal clear, if you have the white mini like I do it makes it look absolutely spectacular. I have particularly large hands so I hold the mini with one hand when I'm walking around, and this cover makes me feel so much safer in case I bump into something accidentally or to add an extra grip to holding on tight.

By all means I'd recommend this case.

It works. It protects my mini and allows my magnetic top cover to still work. I had one of these back on my first gen iPad and when I sold the iPad and got the mini I knew I would be getting one of these again. Price was right and it accentuates the look of the iPad and doesn't hide anything. Very happy with this purchase and I'm picky and anal about this stuff. LOL

This is a very nicely made clear plastic case for the ipad mini. It fit mine perfectly, and I like edge around the front to prevent the glass front from ever contacting the surface if you lay it flat face down. It is completely clear allowing you to see the design on the back of the ipad. It seems like a perfect blend of a little protection while still keeping the style of the ipad. Well done!

Protective Decal Skin Sticker for SONY ERICSSON Xperia X10A case cover X10-359

Protective Decal Skin Sticker for SONY ERICSSON Xperia X10A case cover X10-359I only applied the back portion of this skin to my phone since I have a screen protector on my phone and this skin is tricky to put over a screen protector. My phone looks pretty cool with just the back skin applied. It really looks nice and looks like a completely different phone now!

The skin comes in three layers. The first layer is similar to the backing of a sticker; it keeps junk from getting stuck to the adhesive side of the skin. The second layer is the skin itself, while the third layer keeps the skin from getting deformed during application and if the skin needs multiple small pieces, it also keeps them in the right place so that you can apply them all at once.

I recommend not removing the third layer until you are satisfied with the way that the skin is sitting on the device.

Application is very easy, although it may take you a few tries to get it to lay down straight. If you have to do that, it isn't a big deal, but you need to be sure that you take your time and use as much patience as you can.

A recommendation for the seller/manufacturer (this does not affect my review):

Incorporate a screen protector into the front piece of the skin. It would have been nice to have applied a single layer that was both the skin AND a screen protector; or in other words, the center portion of the front skin could be just a clear piece, while the borders were the skin.

DURAGADGET Genuine Black Leather Case / Stand For Sony PRS-650 Reader Touch Edition

DURAGADGET Genuine Black Leather Case / Stand For Sony PRS-650 Reader Touch EditionOne of the only drawbacks of going with a Sony Reader instead of a Kindle or a Nook is that the aftermarket has a dearth of products for them. Enter Duragadget's case / stand / thingamajig for the PRS-650. The leather is of a good quality. While it could probably be thinner if the padding was left out, it's not so thick as to make the case awkward to carry or heavy to hold. Since it's there to help protect the reader from bumps and bruises (a good thing for those of us who travel a lot for work), I can't complain. The magnets of "locking flap", for lack of a better term, do a good job of keeping things closed and when flipped in between the flap and the back of the case keeps the flap attached to the back of the reader, keeps the flap in place whist in the reading position. The multi-position kick stand works quite well. Great for reading in a restaurant. Again, a great thing for those of us who travel a lot for work. All in all, a quality product more than well worth the price.

Sony PSP PlayStation Travel Charger

Sony PSP PlayStation Travel ChargerI ordered this product to replace a PSP charger that I had lost. The product isn't actually designed specifically for the psp, it is a generic cellphone charger that works with the psp. The charger quickly overheats and feels very flimsy. While pulling the charger out of the socket about a week after purchasing the case simply fell apart. Overall I would only recomend this as an emergency charger until you can find or afford a real one.

Simply put, it does work as advertised. Leave your psp to charge for awhile and come back later. However it isn't designed to allow constant play with the wire as short as it is.

rooCASE Folio Case for Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9" - 6 Styles - Dual-Station / Dual-View / Executive

rooCASE Dual-View Multi Angle Folio Case Cover for Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 Inch Tablet - Support Landscape / Portrait / Auto Sleep and WakeJust got this case to replace another that did not work out. I am really pleased with this one. Out of the package, the odor is very slight. Unlike my previous case, the charger opening is not blocked and I am pleased that the camera lens and the screen edges will not be covered even if the Kindle shifts. The tab that wraps under the Kindle includes Velcro, so even that is not likely to be a problem. This is the first tablet case I have had where there is a strap to slide your hand under. Thoughtfully designed, this strap is lined to one edge, which allows for a separate area for papers etc. Handy. A previous owner mentioned a problem with "slippage", and I agree. However, I think that the reason that this is so noticeable out of the box reflects the manufacturing choice to make the "binding" edge soft. With most cases, this is stiffened with cardboard that bends and weakens with use. Then it gets soft and weak and the tablet slides down anyway. With this case, the flexible binding edge flattens in your hand, which provides a narrow profile in your hand. I prefer it this way, especially since you do have the band to help out. I don't know if this is really leather, but at least it looks like it MIGHT be! I don't know how you could do better on a case, especially at this low price. Good deal!

There is no better case (and I've purchased 4 of them) out there for the Kindle Fire HD 8.9. This case is amazing, and, although you may still want to purchase the Amazon case because its thin and slim, this case will serve you the best because of the multiple viewing angles that are also very secure at the same time. Further, because there are more viewing angles, there are more options to charge the Kindle Fire while you are using it.

1. It is Vegan Leather, which means its not real leather. However, this particular imitation leather is VERY good. I can't tell the difference by looking at it, or by touching it. Its also soft to the touch, which other leather cases are not. Further, it does not have a formaldehyde smell which is a good thing. And even though its not real leather, its grips just as good or better than real leather! 6 Stars.

2. It can stand up in portrait mode. With a few folds of the Origami cover, the front part of the case folds around and creates a prop or "kick stand" in the portrait view. This is great for reading Kindle Books! You can also plug in the charger in this mode. 5 stars.

3. It can stand up in landscape mode (two angles). If you like movies like I do, you can watch them the way they were meant to be watched in Landscape! The "kick stand" works for this mode too. There are two viewing angles in this mode which is awesome! 5 stars.

4. Low stand support. Have you ever wanted to type on the face of your Kindle? Use this mode to lay the Fire down at a slight angle and you can not only view the screen, but you can also type on the face. Further, in this mode, you can plug in the charger at the same time. You can also watch movies in this mode as well. This mode is especially helpful if you are using the Kindle Fire HD as a movie player when hooking up to your Big Screen (with the optional HDMI cord); because the HDMI Cord AND the charger can be used at the same time in this mode! 6 stars.

5. Its magnetic closure keeps it closed. The idea here is that if the Kindle falls out of your hand, the cover will stay in place, covering the screen and the delicate glass from being damaged.

6. When you close it, it makes the Fire go to Sleep. This is a new feature on all the HD Kindle Fire units. But not all the cases make this function work. Basically, when you close the case, there are sensors in the case and the kindle fire which make the unit go to sleep thus saving battery power. 5 stars.

7. The fit is excellent, holes are accurate. There are cutouts for every port on the unit: HDMI Out, Charger/Sync, headphones. Also, there are cutouts for the side volume buttons and the on/off button. 5 stars.

8. There is an elastic pen holder for use with a Kindle Fire Stylus. 5 stars.

There is nothing wrong with this case! Its clearly the best on on the market for me. And the price makes it a steal compared to other cases. In my opinion, if a person purchased this case AND the Amazon case, you would be covered for every need. Again, the Amazon case is a good one if you want a very slim protective case. But for pure function with protection, the Roo Case Origami is the best on the market in my opinion.

** Update 01/01/13 **

Still the best case I have ever owned for the Kindle Fire HD 8.9. I've purchased a total of four cases, and will be sending back two of them. This case, and the Amazon case I am keeping.

Buy rooCASE Folio Case for Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9" - 6 Styles - Dual-Station / Dual-View / Executive Now

This case is definitely my favorite, because it not only functions very well, it is fun to use. There are several ways to fold it to set the viewing angle.

Pros:

Built-in magnets hold the cover tightly to the kindle fire HD 8.9. No need to snap, zip or fasten anything. Just flop the cover down and it hold fast.

While closed, a hidden magnet turns off the device, saving battery power. A cutout on the side make finding the nearly fluch power and volume buttons much easier (my biggest gripe about the fire HDs is it is very hard to find the power and volume buttons. This solves that issue, although with the magnet on/off when closing, you never need push the power button again anyway. But it sure help guide you to the buttons for volume.

Folding is easy, although the diagram is a bit hard to follow. Look at the pictures here and you can pretty easily figure it out. The magnets ones again come into ply, holding the various folds together for extra stability.

Cutouts for the speakers, camera, power and volume buttons are perfect. Another set of two cutouts let you get access to the HDMI and USB/charging ports.

There is great protection of the glass front of the kindle. One layer of simulated leather totally covers it. A second rim inside the border recesses the screen. If dropped, this extra space keeps the more fragile glass further from the floor. Although I refuse to drop test mine, I feel that it would survive a drop easily in this case. Even if the outer cover was folded back, that rim should protect it from anything other than say a knife point hitting the glass. The case also extends outward along the sides, to ensure the "leather" is what hits the ground first and not the kindle.

Cons:

The cover is a bit floppy when folded flat on the back of the kindle. This makes it a bit harder to hold this way, but you can easily reposition your finger under the cover and grip it that way.

Best case I ever bought, and a great price.

Read Best Reviews of rooCASE Folio Case for Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9" - 6 Styles - Dual-Station / Dual-View / Executive Here

If I factor in the price, this is a good case. It leaves all of the ports open for use, seems to be well made, wakes the tablet from sleep when opened, and is fairly thin. If you are just looking for a case that prevents scratches, this case will do.

However, here are some things I don't particularly like: The case is not all that sturdy. I don't meant to say it won't hold up, which it seems like it well. However, due to its thin design, the term I would use is floppy. While I wanted a thin case, I had hoped it would be a little more rigid. When holding the tablet to read or play games, the cover which is folded under tends to flop around and just feels awkward. The holder for the stylus is on the backside, which does not seem like the ideal place for it. If you have the device charging and the case in typing mode, the cover puts pressure on the micro-usb port, which I don't feel comfortable with. Since the case was as cheap as it was, I will likely store it away as a backup, but will probably not use it much for the reasons listed.

Want rooCASE Folio Case for Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9" - 6 Styles - Dual-Station / Dual-View / Executive Discount?

Arrived today. It has a slight odor, but as it's out of the package it is starting to lessen. I hope it goes away completely. My kindle hd fits snugly and securely which is why I have a cover. The auto wake/sleep function of the cover works as listed. I put the cover in the two viewing modes and it sat well in a bed. All the ports and camera are open for use. My listing is 4 stars is for holding it with one hand like the photo. As the cover flap closes with a magnet, when the case is open the two sides do not seal. If you try to hold it one handed on the seam side the weight of the kindle makes it impossible to hold as it flops around. If the two sides could be latched together it would be secure enough but as it is you can only hold it one handed on the open side by holding both kindle and cover. I know this kindle is heavy, so if you don't plan on holding it one handed this case would work well for you! (or flip it upside down when you want to change hands).

This case has a very nice look and feel to it. I prefer it to other plastic and silicone cases, it just looks more professional. Also the front flap keeps me from damaging the screen with keys and other objects in my pocket. The best part is the display function! I like to watch movies on my phone on my lunch so this is great. All in all works and looks great!

rooCASE Super Bubble Neoprene Sleeve Case for Samsung Series 9 NP900X3A-A03US 13.3-Inch Laptop (Dar

rooCASE Super Bubble Neoprene Sleeve Case for Samsung Series 9 NP900X3A-A03US 13.3-Inch LaptopOverall this is a good laptop sleeve. I was very skeptical at first about buying a laptop sleeve online because I have read many reviews about laptop sleeves that were of poor quality and that had misleading advertisements. However, this laptop sleeve was pretty much exactly as it appeared in the pictures. I would give this laptop sleeve a 5 star rating, but I found that it was a pretty snug fit for my laptop, which is 13.3". I guess this was more of my fault because I should have bought a sleeve that was a little bigger so that my laptop could breath.

Sony Clie PEG-TJ25 Handheld

Sony Clie PEG-TJ25 HandheldI'll begin by saying that I timed this one right! I got it for 160 before the rebate, so the price (140) was perfect.

I upgraded from an 8mb Visor Deluxe and this is AWESOME! The hi-res color screen is very sharp. My wife has a Zire 71 and we both agree mine is sharper. Palm OS5 is pretty cool too, though you wind up only getting 11 mb useable out of the 16. I fairly quickly bought a memory stick.

This thing is FAST! It's noticeably faster than my wife's Palm and faster than any other PDA I've seen (then again, I don't look if it's over 250). The lack of multimedia capabilities was a bit of a bummer, but I didn't think paying 70-100 was worth it when I have computers just about everywhere I go.

I've read the complaints about the lack of a cradle, but I personally like the little sync adapter. It only needs one of the USB cables with a "digital camera jack" to work. Since I have 5 of them, I took one to work. Now, I just grab my Clie and the 1-inch square adapter and I can sync at work and home. I actually even put the charging cord in the bedroom, so I can keep it on the nightstand charging for those late-night "honey do's" :D

Overall, I'm VERY pleased. Battery life is a bit of an issue, but the LiIon battery has no "memory effect" so I just charge it each night. I can get a solid 5 hours at a lower screen brightness (still easy to see) even using the memoery stick and running CPU-intensive apps.

I'd definitely recommend this if you can find it for less than $170. Totally worth it in my opinion. The cover is a weak spot and the stylus takes some getting used to, but these are the only drawbacks (IMHO) and are quickly eclipsed by speed, "look" (The Clie Launcher is awfully cool) and overall value. Put some pix of your kids, family, vacation, etc on it and show your friends and you'll be hooked! Buy with confidence.

PS Sony extends the warranty to one year for free when you register.

A few follow-ups:

1. Apparently Sony is closing this out to make room for the TJ-27. The Tj-25 can now be found as low as 120 (if you time it right).

2. The cover issue was easily fixed with a dab of superglue on each "hook". Quite solid now (fold cover back to get it out of the way (it's made to do this)).

3. Battery life has been measured more accurately at 4:30 on "medium-low" backlight setting.

4. The sync adapter is still quite handy. A tad bit larger than a postage stamp and quite portable if you already have the aforementioned cable where you're going.

5. I've had it for 30 days now, and aside from wishing I'd caught it at 120, I'm still quite happy.

6. To clarify "lack of multimedia" I mean "even your old Nokia phone had more tones". On the other hand, I always have the sound off anyway (as does my wife who has a multimedia-capable Zire 71) so I didn't need one in the first place.

I had to retire a palm zire 21 after 2 months because it would reset itself almost every other day. I sent it to the palm guys and it came back in worse condition that before. After reading the reviews on Amazon...I decided to call it quits while I was ahead and search for another PDA. (I had a palm Vx prior to that for 2 years).

WOW! What a jewel the Sony Clie is! It has much more memory than my other two models and for a work at home mom that's using her PDA to keep track of life, recipes, and wants all names and addresses at her fingertips, IN COLOR, this was a WONDERFUL purchase!

For the price (mine was $139), I cannot complain. It is much faster than my other palm pilots, the battery life is great, I don't really care that much about included applications, although the outlook "handler" does a great job (or seems to), and I think Sony really thought out the organization of the main screen on this PDA. A+

Unlike the other reviewer I find this model a vast improvement over the Palm 505. I like the size and the display!

The lack of a docking cradle was a surprise but you get an adapter for hot syncing and power. A cradle seems to run 20-30 so it does not bother me that much. The stylus does take some getting use to. I didn't find grafetti 2 much of a change.

Don't use mail so I can't judge on that. All other programs worked just fine!

As to the claim of a case should have been included. I have only had Palms and they didn't come with a "decent" case.

The cover is way better then that cheasy one that palm used to give out.

I like it though I probably would have picked up the TJ35 if I had thought this out.

I am not disappointed with this purchase!

Oh do keep the box because you need a serial number to get the refund!!!!!! I tossed mine! :(

This is one of the worst products of any kind that I have ever bought in my entire life. My first one lost power after a month, even though it was charged and never came back on. They tried a new battery, but the gizmo was dead. So, I got the replacement. Heck, there can be a bad apple in every barrel.

The new one had a great deal of difficulty keeping the backlight on. For no apparent reason, it would just not be on when the unit was turned on. Usually holding the power on switch up would start it up. That was until the final day, when it wouldn't come on, dumped all my data and died. This was when it was only three months old. The only thing that restrained me from driving my car over it so that it would be really dead, was the thought that I needed to return it.

In addition, if you should be so foolish as to buy this thing, if it happens inadvertently turn on in your purse or if it rings an alarm for a meeting and you don't hear it, it will stay on until the battery dies.

You've been warned..................

I recently upgraded from an SJ33 to the TJ25, and there are many improvements, and a few drawbacks. The first noticable improvement is the slim design. The case is made out of aluminum on the front, and sturdy plastic on the sides and the back. It would have been better if they would have made it all aluminum, or at least the back aluminum as well.

It has a decent amount of memory on it. 16 MB with 11 MB user accessable. Don't even ask me why they don't just make all 16 user accessable. They were able to make it all accessable in the TH55. Hell, the SJ33 had 15 MB user accessable.

The provided Clie Launcher has replaced Z Launcher, which is what I used to use as my launcher. The Clie Launcher is well desigined. If it had a card icon when a memory stick is inserted, that would be nice.

The lack of software is another issue. It doesn't come with any from of Documents To Go or anything else that is really good. It comes with a trial version of Intellisync Lite.

It boasts a nice color screen, that when viewed in sunlight, is terrible, as with all of the screens I have seen. My GBA has a better screen in sunlight than this does.

It DOES have a really fast processor. 200 MHZ. It is FAST. Of course, with a 200 MHZ processor, it also runs Palm OS 5.2.1.

The battery life is good. I haven't tested it without charging it, because I charge it every night. But after a days' use, it is down to about 30%. Keep in mind that I am constantly accessing LARGE applications off of the memory stick. I'd say if I didn't use the memory stick like I do, it would go about 3-4 days on a single charge.

This is a wonderful PDA and I would really suggest it to those who are new in the PDA market or want to have basic functions without all those extra features.

Pros:

1. Full color screen.

2. Slim design, less than half-an-inch thick.

3. Fast processor.

4. Aluminum front.

Cons:

1. Lack of software.

2. Hard plastic everwhere but the front.

3. Terrible screen in sunlight.

Hope I helped you in your decision in the PDA market
