ICONO AERO Snow White UltraSlim Premium Folio Smart Case for Apple Ipad2 New Ipad Wifi 3g

ICONO AERO Snow White UltraSlim Premium Folio Smart Case for Apple Ipad2 New Ipad Wifi 3gIf you're looking for a slim and light, yet functional and fashionable iPad cover, you won't go wrong with this one.

I bought this cover for my iPad 2 in preparation for a 3 week trip to Europe. From the moment I opened the packaging, i was very impressed with the craftsmanship, style and feel of this cover. The design sets it apart from the apple smart cover and accompanying back covers your can buy separately because the ICONO has both the sleep/wake function of the smart cover and the protection of the back cover, plus the 2 are joined, so you'll never have to worry about the front cover coming off. Installation was a breeze and my iPad still looks as stylish and slim as it did without the cover. A Great product! my only suggestion would be a wider selection of color, but other than that I can't find any fault in the ICONO.

This is my second case, the first one lasted about 6 months. For the price I think it's pretty good.

Compaq iPAQ 3630 Color Pocket PC

Compaq iPAQ 3630 Color Pocket PCI bought the iPAQ because I wanted to upgrade from my Palm to a color screen, and the Palm color display was just terrible. Enter the iPAQ, a stylish executive gadget with a great color display, and a built-in MP3 player. Add the built-in speaker with a joypad, and this unit would be great for games too! So I ordered one, and after months of waiting, it arrived.

The first thing that struck me was that the reset door was not closing, but rattled like a rattlesnake if you moved the unit. Research on the internet showed that this was a common flaw, but it could be fixed by bending the door with a small screwdriver.

Next I found out that dust had entered the display, and due to the construction of the backlighting, dust particles shine brightly and can only be removed by fishing them out with a long hair. Apparently this too is a common problem, since Compaq forgot to seal the display of the unit, so dust can enter between the display and the touchscreen foil. Compaq does exchange the iPAQ if there is dust in the display, but the replacement unit will have the exact same problems since this is caused by an engineering flaw. So don't bother sending it in until Compaq has a real fix.

The MP3 player proved to be pretty much unusable, because the amplifier is switched off and back on between tracks, causing a deafening popping noise on the headphones. Compaq has promised a firmware update to remedy this problem, but that keeps getting postponed every two weeks, the latest announcement is sometime next year. I won't hold my breath.

Using the unit for games is also all but impossible, because the joypad/buttons are somewhat limited by the hardware design.

Don't be fooled by the metal looking case; it's really just painted plastic, and the paint comes off easily. Just slide on one of the Expansion Packs regularly and see for yourself where the scratches develop.

By now I was subscribed to a forum and found out about a myriad of other problems, including that the symbols on the buttons rub off after a few weeks of using them. Compaq thinks this is normal, so my conclusion would be: don't use them. Great. My advice to Compaq: don't print on metal unless you're certain the paint will stick! The paint on my (plastic) Palm buttons stayed on for two years, and probably will stay on for another twenty.

Would I buy it again? Yes and no. The iPAQ was a great idea, it's currently the fastest Pocket PC around, and if it didn't have the quality problems it has, I'd buy it again. But for this price I expect a unit that works as reliably as my Palm did, that I can actually use daily and not just carry around and not use it to prevent it from becoming unusable.

Unfortunately the demand is currently so great that Compaq seems to be getting away with anything, as people don't care about the problems as long as they can get their hands on an iPAQ. Personally, if I were you, I'd wait a while until either Compaq gets things done right, or the competition comes up with a similar product which doesn't have the problems the iPAQ has.

If you're waiting for the iPAQ to become available again, stop waiting and be glad you didn't spend your money on this prototype that accidentally went into production, and spend your money on something else instead.

I purchased the Compaq Ipaq not out of dire necessity, but mostly because of the many features it has:

One, it looks the best out of all of the PDA's. It has a sleek, futuristic, design, unlike the Jornada, for example, which is just plain black.

Two, the stylus can store inside of the body, so there is less of a chance of losing it and you don't have to carry it around separately.

Three, It has an Mp3 player, which is one of the main reasons I picked it over the Palm and Visor, in which an Mp3 expansion costs as much as the PDA itself.

Four, the writing area is retractable and there is an on-screen keyboard; the Palm and Visor don't have the keyboard, and the writing area takes up precious screen space.

Five, the processor is an Intel Strong ARM 206MHz; the other pocket PC's only have 133MHz or lower, and they're not Intel, which is the best and most reliable processor.

Six, it doubles as an E-book, you can read books on your iPaq with Microsoft Reader and download them from numerous websites, even a thesaurus and dictionary; the Palm doesn't have this feature and the Visor expansion is expensive and you can only choose from a selection of four books.

Seven, one of the most important factors in my buying the iPaq is the color screen; the resolution is the best out there, especially compared to the color Palm and Visor PDA's, which are expensive and have very low resolution. Not much of an improvement from a Game Boy.

I went through excruciating research on the other PDA's before I decided on the iPaq, visiting Casio, HP, Visor, Palm, and Compaq. The Palm and Visor I ruled out immediately after seeing the capability of the Pocket PC's. I looked at CNET, Epinions, and PDA Buzz, and went to my local Best Buy, CompUSA, and Circuit City. I saw that it got high praise from many electronics and technology magazines, such as Best of the Year from Popular Science.

It took me 2 weeks before my final decision. That was two weeks too late, into the middle of the Christmas shopping frenzy. Almost every retailer was out because of the popularity of the iPaq and on eBay, it cost around $600-$700. I finally snagged it at a Brandsmart USA, it was the last one.

A very useful feature is AvantGo, which is included. You can load your favorite web site onto your iPaq for viewing anywhere. Also, you can read the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, USAToday, you can play Jeopardy from SonyStation, you can access Yahoo(with movies, news, sports, stocks, etc.), and thousands of other sites.

There are many games and lots of software that you can download for it, like Flight Simulator.

I am very happy with my iPaq, and I would suggest it to anyone. It's good for the music lover, disorganized person, businessman, etc.

This is a great product. DUST DOES NOT ENTER THE SCREEN. People saying that is incorrect. What was behind the screen had nothing to do with dust. Compaq had a problem with a company in Taiwan that installs the screen. Do to poor work tiny glass fragments were left behind. That is what the so called "dust" is. This problem has been fixed with all the new iPaqs. Amazon.com only sells new ones, their will NOT be a problem with the screen. Microsoft activesync has a problem when other usb devices are in the computer. I found Microsoft ridiculous when you call user support. Your best bet is to call compaq where they will give a solution that works perfectly. There is a lot of softweare for the ipaq out, and much more coming. For gamers, go to PocketGamer.org for all the gaming news. You can get great emulators to play all the old Nintendo and SuperNintendo games. I recomend the IBM microdrive or if that is too expensive get the Viking cf card. This is by far the best Pocket PC on the line. The 3630 and the 3650 are the exact same product w/ ho differences what so all. I called Compaq to confirm this. The only difference w/ the new compaq 3635 is the cf card that comes w/ it. The new one costs 100 dollars more, where you can buy a cf expansion pack for 35 dollars. I recomend getting the 3635 or 3650.

I've owned this unit now for 3 months. I've got the PC Card expansion for it, allowing me to use a wireless ethernet card to surf the web when I'm at home. The included applications from contact management to excel and word are all first rate. The synchronization is fantanstic (much better than old CE devices). I actually sync via the wireless card. I read and send my email through this thing. It really is much close to a full function laptop in terms of capabilities that a contact management device such as a palm. I've also got the Pharo GPS device/software combo for it, works great, actually talks you through the directions as you drive! The Reader software is also fantastic. I've read a couple of books (the ClearType is amazingly smooth and readable) and the best part of it is I don't have to leave the light on to read! Your significant other would appreciate that!

I would strongly recommend this product.

When i first bought my ipaq in november, i hated the fact that my computer wouldnt recognize with active sync all the time. but i found a solution that has yet to fail. do the following:

1. when active states "connecting" and it doesnt connect. take your ipaq off the cradle. 2. when active sync now says "disconnected" click on file, then get connected 3. another screen pops up and on this click next or ok 4. now a screen that shows that your computer is searching for your ipaq on all ports shows up. 5. turn off your ipaq and set it on the cradle. 6. ipaq turns on and connects.

this works all the time when i have the problem and i never have to restart the computer.

Black Silicone Skin Case for Palm Pre + Car Charger + Travel Charger + Screen Protector

Black Silicone Skin Case for Palm Pre + Car Charger + Travel Charger + Screen ProtectorThis is a great case for the Palm Pre.

It lasted the 4 years that I used my Palm Pre.

Too bad HP killed it. I miss my Palm Pre. I wish my Android was half as good as my Palm Pre was.

Worked on my palm pre. Used the cig lighter adapter for my motorcycle, one rain and caputo. No big deal though not built for the elements. Rubber is garbage and falls off. Never stuck to my palm pre.

Premium Smooth PURPLE Durable Rubber Case for Sprint Palm Pre

Premium Smooth PURPLE Durable Rubber Case for Sprint Palm PreI have purchased many phone covers just like this one and it works just fine. My biggest complaint is that it is advertized as being RUBBER and it is not. It is rubber-feel HARD PLASTIC like all of the previous covers I have purchased for my Pre, which work fine but all eventually break as the tiny plastic tabs that hold it on the phone break off. I had hoped that there was finally a real rubber/silicone cover for my Pre so that I would not have to keep replacing the covers every few months as they break but this is not such a product. This product is fine, but it is not as advertized so be aware of what you are getting; a well-fitting HARD PLASTIC 2-piece Pre cover. Nothing more, nothing less.

The case is genuinely rubberized (I had previously purchased a "rubberized" plastic case that came and was honestly more slippery than my phone!), making it exceedingly difficult to drop. The color in the picture is accurate. It's a rich, deep, slightly metallic purple. My only problem with it is that the back cover is hard to get off once it's on, making it hard to pop out the battery if there are problems with the phone itself. I would buy another one in a heartbeat, I love it!

Buy Premium Smooth PURPLE Durable Rubber Case for Sprint Palm Pre Now

I have zero complaints! I got standard shipping and got this like 2 days after I ordered it, well technically less since I ordered it around midnight I think! The feel of it is amazing! Not that hard plastic or that flimsy rubber! The color is beautiful and the case fits my phone perfectly! I bought a case from another company about a month ago... it was okay but looked cheap, the paint was easily chipping off and it made the phone look bulky! PLUS the holes where the speaker and camera go were so big... it left a lot of the phone unprotected! The case I'm reviewing... the holes for the camera and speaker are PERFECT! Even around the flash!!! It's so exact! It even gives you an extra space if you wanna add on a belt clip! People look at my phone and think my phone is purple! They can't even tell it has a case most of the time! I looooooooooove this case! If you have a Palm Pre, GET THIS!!! You won't be disappointed. This is coming from someone who is pretty picky! I'll try and post some pics later!

Palm Pixi Plus Back Cover / Battery Door for Touchstone

Palm Pixi Plus Back Cover / Battery Door for TouchstoneThis is the 1st replacement that is better than the original! Is harder and feels much better than the original cover, for the price is unbeatable and has little magnets that close the battery hole when not in use which i hated from the one that comes with the phone. i haven't tried the wireless charging but im considering buying the charger. I paid only 2 dollars for it you cant beat that!

Great price, but my wife has now been through 3 of these in 1.5 years... It's a good thing they are down to a few dollars because the letters fall off quickly (just a cosmetic issue), and the charging "flap" won't stay closed because the little bit of metal that is glued to it falls off within a month of using it. On to of all that, the rubber edge separates from the cover after about 6 months of heavy use. All this being said, it was a great cheap phone so just order 3-4 of these covers to keep as spares.

Aluminum Metal Hard Skin Case Cover for Barnes & Noble Nook Simple Touch

Aluminum Metal Hard Skin Case Cover for Barnes & Noble Nook Simple TouchThe sides of the case do not match up exactly when closed, but it would latch well enough and it does a great job of protecting the nook during travel. It survived a military tour in several Middle eastern countries and the Nook was undamaged.

I was looking for a case that would protect my Nook Simple Touch without adding bulge or much weight. I found the perfect case here. The aluminum on the outside looks stylish and sleek, the inside is soft and cushions protectively. The Nook is held in place by 4 small hooks so it can't fall out when you open the case. I love it!

I like to think I'm a relatively simple man. I don't need the latest or the greatest. I'm quite content with something that meets my needs without all the extra bells and whistles. So when I got my first Nook I was content with the smaller black & white Nook Simple Touch. Did everything I needed it to do, but now I needed a case. A good solid case where I could feel confident that it would protect my investment. Feeling that the traditional leather and softbound cases where not in my favor I sought out something hard, something solid, something metal perhaps. Sadly there are few to no hard-cases for the Nook. I had nearly given up until I found this thing, a sleek aluminum metal case. Just what I wanted, so I ordered right away. Sadly this item is so badly made I can't even comprehend how it manages to stay on sale.

Well let's cover the most obvious flaw in this item. It doesn't even fit over your Nook. It looks the same size as a Nook Simple Touch, it feels the same size as a Nook Simple Touch, it is NOT the same size as a Nook Simple Touch. It is smaller and will not even fit over it. Try as I may over half an hour this thing simply didn't want to fit over my Nook. Well maybe I am incompetent? I handed this travesty of a product and my Nook to four other friends and asked them to try to get it in as well. Not one of them was able too. So either everyone I know is incompetent or this really doesn't fit. I know! It is because of thermal expansion! Clearly our air-conditioned rooms/offices of 70-72 degrees Fahrenheit were so hot that it causes to Nook to expand resulting in it not fitting. It all makes perfect sense, right? No, this product is just a sad excuse of a case.

But, hypothetically speaking, lets say you manage to get your Nook in this thing. Problem solved, right? I mean surely I'm an idiot and you'll have more success getting a simple electronic device into a case. If the boot fits the foot, no problem right? Oh how I envy your naivete. If you do buy this product, you'll notice almost immediately by looking inside that this item doesn't offer even the most simple of straps, harness or restraint to secure and hold your Nook in place. This is rather odd considering all the other cases I've seen offer something like this, but lets give this item the benefit of the doubt. So long as it doesn't pop open at the smallest of forces it doesn't really need to be secured firmly inside. Let's keep that in mind as we review my last point.

This item offers a simple, impractical, and ineffective snap-shut case that, for the life of me, I can't seem to get closed half the time. Remember that whole thing I said about it not fitting over a Nook Simple Touch. Let's not even worry about that. Right now the Nook isn't even in the case! I'm simply trying to close it without anything inside. What I'm saying is that the case is empty and it doesn't shut correctly! After half a dozen attempts, and feeling like an utter fool the whole time, I managed to successfully close the case. How did I know I closed it right? Because it successfully stayed closed after I held it face-down in midair. No problem right? I held this thing about 3 inches above my desk and dropped it and it popped open like a badly stuffed briefcase. At 3 inches only. I tried at 6 inches and it was even worse. I tried again at 1 foot, not even average desk height here. At 1 foot this case, regardless of what side I dropped it on, spilled open in the most undignified of ways spilling out it's contents. Remember, the case was empty for this experiment, but imagine if I had my Nook inside and I dropped while walking or from my desk, around 3 feet. This thing can't fall 3 inches without spilling the beans. Do you want to trust it falling 3 feet?

This aluminum case has one thing going for it. It looks nice, but it's a poor product made only to deprive you of your money. It opens at the drop of a dime, doesn't close right, and you only get those problems if you even manage to get your Nook to fit in it in the first place. Still all is not lost. The case is made out of aluminum. I'm sure if you take it to a recycling center you can get a few cents for it.

PalmOne Zire Handheld

PalmOne Zire HandheldIf you need a handheld for basic PIM tasks such as phone numbers adresses and e-mail this is the one for you, read on. If on the other hand you need a powerful handheld computer able to do multimedia I recommend you look at the Sony Clie line of Palm OS handhelds.

The Zire provides all you need to substitute your paper based agenda out of the box.

About the OS:

Palm OS is actually the standard OS on handhelds (most like Windows on the desktop). This handheld includes a desktop PIM(personal information managers) as well as software to sync with Microsoft Outlook.

There are thousand of programs available for the palm OS add such as enhanced PIM , Personal finance program to syncronize with MS Money and Quicken as well as office suites and games.

Hardware:

Zire has a very stilish design it is almost as small as a Palm M515 or clie T 665. Also this handheld as all Palm branded handhelds is build to last with a tought elegant casing.

It is compatible with Windows and Machintos desktops. The only limitations I find in this computer are that it only has 2 MB of memory (but I am a power user), for most peple 2 MB is plenty to store thousand of addresses as well as and office suite and other programs. Another minor limitation for gammers it that there are only four buttons.

Sumarry:

The zire is arguably the best possible solution for someone just entering the world of handhelds. This is the best entry level handheld computer for the money

Although I rush to buy new tech stuff and have a lot of it, I hadn't really wanted to pay the going rate for a PDA...especially since I'm retired and don't need anything to keep me organized. But when Palm intro'd the Palm Zire for [$], I couldn't resist. The main reason I bought it, besides the price, is that I wanted to be able to carry my address book with me. This works great for that, and it was very easy to transfer my main Windows address book to the Palm. It's also very easy to use. I can stick it in my pocket for notetaking, etc. Consequently, I find I'm using it more and more for errands, memos and 'to do' lists.

The only drawback is that the screen is not backlit, and while the contrast is adjustable and the screen easily visible in bright light, it's hard to see under regular lamplight. As I become more dependent on this, I can see I will probably want to upgrade...exactly the marketing strategy Palm had in mind.

Oh, and don't waste your money on Palm's PDA carrying case. It's made of a heavy, soft, kind of smelly plastic that takes away all the lightweight advantages of the small Palm Zire. You can find much nicer ones for much less online at places like eBags.com.

The new Zire Palm is essentially an updated version of the Palm m100, with the following changes:

* An even !Smaller! screen.

* A new, stylish form factor.

* A rechargeable battery.

* A funky new name.

All of the other limitations of the m100 still exist. The memory is not upgradeable, and 2MB is pathetically small, allowing for only the most basic address and scheduling functions. The three PALM programs that I consider essential would overwhelm this puppy. They are: Mapopolis (a mapping program from Mapopopolis.com with keyword-searchable street maps), Avantgo (an online news service that downloads articles to your palm) and Vindigo (a restaurant, movie and city guide).

The lack of memory is riduculous, especially considering that the m105 model that this also replaces has 8 MB and a slightly larger screen!

Believe me, screen size matters when you are pointing and clicking on a tiny keyboard on your Palm. And this has to be the smallest screen yet.

To me, this model is only for those misguided and poor folks who would have bought the now-discontinued m100 model but want a rechargeable battery. There are far better models out there for only a few more bucks. You can still find some of the excellent Handspring Visor leftover models around for about the same price, which feature the large screens and 8 MB. And Sony's CLIE line of Palm OS handhelds basically now own the middle of the PALM product line.

Here's a basic PALM product guide:

Zire/Palm m100: Bottom of the line. Designed to suck you in but leave you wanting more. Think of this as the Chevy Chevette of Palms. Plagued by small screens.

Palm m105: The 8MB version of the m100. Fine, except needs batteries and plagued by small screen.

Palm 125: Ooh, expansion slot that you will probably never use. Still plagued by small screen.

Palm 130: Adds color, lithium battery to m125. Not bad, but screen still small, low res.

Palm m500: Still the standard for monochrome Palms. Lightweight, with a clear, large screen and a classic form-factor that gave the company its name. 8MB, expandable, lithium-polymer battery. Triple-Aces.

Palm m505: Discontinued color model features horrible washed out color screen. AVOID.

Palm m515: Soon to be discontinued Color PALM. Very good, but no Palm TUNGSTEN T.

Palm TUNGSTEN T: The top of the line. Finally, Palm builds a PALM that can compete with a Pocket PC. Too bad they priced it like one too. Triple Aces design, with fabulous ergonomics, fantastic high-res active screen, battery, bluetooth, and drop-down graffiti pad.

For competitors, check out the new Handspring Treo models, which feature thumbpads and a small form factor (some with phones), and the Sony CLIE line. The CLIE models, which start at just over a hundred clams, have a nice form factor, and upper-level models feature the best high-res color screens for generally less than what you'd pay for a similar PALM-branded model. CLIE's feature memory-stick slots and lithium batteries. But I've heard Sony's customer service is weak compared to Palm's easy-as-pie returns. These things do break from time to time, so keep that in mind.

Enjoy!

Last year I asked my wife for a PDA for Christmas which I received. She bought a good brand, a top seller, but I was totally frustrated with learning how it works. It shouldn't be that complicated. Maybe the Yippees and the Yuppies are smarter than I am or just determined to overcome any tough challenge. Not me! I bought a Palm Zire and fell in love. It has everything and does everything I need and I learned it in three minutes. The front cover is a soft, plastic flap which seems to be a pain to some but is easy to cope with and who needs backlighting? The battery is rechargable so I don't replace batteries. My calendar stretches on for years, my address book has about 250 entries and I've only just begun, my to do list is brilliantly simply, my note pad goes on forever with ideas, reminders, shopping list, etc. and I can switch from one category to the next with a simple touch of the handy stylus and back again. It is a delight to work with and anyone who slams it is an idiot! You want a stylish Cadillac with a phone and color TV screen, fine, go buy one, but for the price and simplicity you just can't beat it! In the world of sophisticated electronics, this little, light-weight, shirtpocket pal goes the distance for me . . . and probably for you. Simplify your life, get it all done and relax. Anything you need is right there in the Palm of your hand. Zire!

I am a 13 year old kid who bought this pda with my mowing money for school. This is a very good PDA for its price. It has a nice B&W touch screen and looks cool. It has an Adress book, date book, memo pad, note pad (you can draw stuff on the screen with this), 13 digit calculator, clock & alarm, expense, to do list, and security. A cd comes in the package that has palm desktop software (synchronising stuff), and mine hunt, giraffe, hardball (like pong), and puzzle 15 (theese are all games that you put on the pda through the desktop software). This is a very good pda for anyone who wants one thats cheap in price, but not in quality.

GTMax 11 pieces Accessories Bundle Kit for Amazon Kindle Fire 7 inch Multi-touch Display Wi-Fi Tabl

GTMax 11 pieces Accessories Bundle Kit for Amazon Kindle Fire 7 inch Multi-touch Display Wi-Fi TabletThis is such a cool bundle of things for you kindle, and I must say, there originally was a piece missing from the kit (specifically the USB connection wire) but after an e-mail informing the seller, it was shipped right to me (they even offered me a refund, but I declined since I just wanted that one wire)... excellent, well worth it, and so many of the things in this bundle come in handy! I say, get it!!!

I really like the bundle. It got to me the 5th day I ordered, including the Weekend. Everything was individually wrapped. I tested out all the stuff. Except for the headphones, (I'm still wondering which part is gel!) which looks like one of those Delta Airlines free headphones, everything looks good. (Minus half star!)

The entire package is useful and nothings going to be wasted. Its nothing Fancy but very practical basic essential accessories.

For the correct application of the protector film, they didnt include the instructions, just 2 stickers denoting which one to be peeled first and second.(minus half star!)so like a true geek, I found my answers on Internet.Just go to you tube and type How to apply Kindle Screen Protector Film. Watch it before you put yours on. Once applied, its really thin, and didnt diminish any touch pressure.

I love the set of stylus, but wish they came with lanyards. They are about the 3/4 length of a ball point clicker pen, and can be tucked away if you have a leather sleeve or something with pockets, for your kindle. I wrote, drew and clicked with it, and dont have anything to complain about.

Overall, I say again, this is a value kit, and if I needed more kits for the kids, I would definitely order the same kit.

Purchased 2 Accessory Kits for an extremely low price for our children who received Kindle Fires for Christmas; Believe this product to be priced well below market and is great for children who have portable electronics. Only issue is the headset that the kids say don't stay in their ears very well. May just have to work on it. Outside of that, the case is nice and it's great having the extra 3 stylus' as kids can lose them quickly.

Stylus: They are small, light and work really well. I like them a lot better than the $15 $20 styluses because they are compact enough to fit in your pocket if you need or slide right inside your case without taking up much room.

Ear bud: Good sound. Nice fit. I have those ears that ear buds don't typically like to stay in, but these fit nicely and don't fall out. Not much bass to them, but you can't expect to be getting Beats at this price range.

Aux Cable: Great for in the car. The wind up get stuck sometimes, but it's not a deal breaker for me.

Fishbone: Probably the most under rated thing in this kit. You can wrap the USB charger and earbuds around this and slide them conveniently in your pocket. Keeps cables safe and doesn't put a lot of stress on connectors.

Splitter: Works.

Wrist strap: I actually put this on my sons 3DS. But it's pretty solid.

Kit has all that you need but seems there packaging could use some protection from bending. They shipped all pieces in 1 bag which I am sure got thrown around by UPS and bent the protective covers. I was not able to use them by the time they made it to me had to throw them away. So until they ship this in a different manner I would not recomend this kit if you need the screen protectors.

ZyXEL Wireless N Pocket Travel Router and Access Point (MWR102)

ZyXEL Wireless N Pocket Travel Router and Access PointUses:

WiFi Access point (adds a wireless connection to a network)

Wifi Router (works like an Access Point but also shares the connection with multiple devices)

Wireless Client Bridge (connects to an existing wifi network and bridges the connection to TWO Ethernet ports)

Thoughts:

In the short run, I bought this to add wi-fi to my Xbox 360 on the cheap, and I wanted something that could take the place of a wifi card in a new computer I'm halfway finished buying parts for. I had a little trouble setting up Client Bridge mode at first, but when I asked ZyXEL they responded helpfully through both email and an English speaking native on phone support. As an unexpected bonus, both the WAN and LAN ports function to bridge wifi to Ethernet in Client mode, so I'll be able to give both my Xbox And computer wifi at the same time. Right now, I just have the MWR102 hooked up to my Xbox via Ethernet and USB, and the short included cables keep everything tidy. If you would like to see the steps I used to set this up, visit Tom's Hardware (the website) and search for the product.

This will also be useful to add wi-fi during travel, the main advertised use of this product, though I don't travel as much as I used to.

As far as 150mbps wireless N bandwidth goes, that's several times faster bandwidth than any personal consumer connection to the Internet, and my connection signal is strong from the basement game room with no lag created from my end. I have not had any sudden dropped connections so far, I am confident that this is a quality product.

Update:

Router still working great as of April 6th. I have it set up in my very concrete-y basement (super challenging for wi-Fi), with both the Xbox and a desktop computer plugged in. For some reason I have no lag playing Call of Duty 4, but a really bad connection that gets me kicked out of games frequently in Left 4 Dead with my friends from Penn State... Of course nobody wants to take responsibility for it being their end, lol. I also started a job that puts me on the road, so I'm super glad I chose this solution because I just flip a switch on the side over to the other mode, plug it in and I have a private WiFi network in my motel room. Flip the switch back when I get home, and the settings for client mode are reactivated with no hassle. I'm still thrilled I did my research and found this!

Update July 2012:

Working fine with both my PC and XBOX hooked up to this in my bedroom, at the same time. Left 4 Dead just has bad lag problems, everything else is working smoothly. I don't know if I've said so before, but my home is served Internet by Verizon's FiOS service and their provided gateway/wifi router.

Ideal for international travel, the supplied wall charger accepts 110-240v input and it packs away nice and small. The small cloth bag which was included is really too small for the unit, charger and cables and only really useful for the unit itself and helps protect it. The box it came in is excellent for packing it all away for travel.

Setup:

Easy to set up, the unit is able to clone a MAC address (and save up to three MAC addresses) which is handy for connecting to certain modems, it is also able to save configurations (which should allow for easy reloading). Having an ethernet option as well as wireless allows a bit more flexibility, it took about 10 minutes to add the router between an existing computer and cable modem, change the defaults and configure the MWR102, clone the existing computer's MAC address (ISP limitation) and TCP/IP settings and have it working with no negative impact on the existing computer and enabling wireless for other computers to connect.

Performance:

Performance is surprisingly good for such a small unit, with a good connection possible at 10m through 2 walls. Best performance is found when raising the unit high and keeping it flat, as the unit is so small and light a little tape or blu-tack may be needed to prevent kinks in the cables from twisting the unit off the table! The supplied ethernet cable is very short (cat 5e) which may not be an issue if the ethernet connection is up high, I bring a longer cable to allow more flexibility in positioning of the unit, the power cord has plenty of length. I found that some devices (android phone) had a harder time staying connected than a laptop, a reboot of both devices seemed to sort this out so now I power cycle the unit every few days or so.

Overall:

Excellent device for USD$30, apparently it also acts as a connection to a wireless network and when not travelling I intend to use it to connect a DVD player to the internet.

[update]

Configuring the device in Client mode works with the latest firmware (download from the ZyXEL international site, not the US site) and can successfully connect two devices at once in client mode BOTH ethernet connections pass through the internet connection.

The ZyXEL Wireless Router worked great! My wife and I traveled to Guam and Hawaii and she brought along her ipad. Once I got the ZyXEL connected her was able to stay in contact with friends and family while relaxing in bed or on deck. Plus traveling with the router was extremely easy and simple. One of the best purchases I made in quite a while.

This thing is pretty small and USB powered but the interface/software is very minimal and there isn't a WIFI client to allow it to connect to other WIFI connections as a WIFI repeater or bridge which is useful when travelling and at a cafe or to pick up a signal without having to wire in an internet connection. For a real travel or portable router, I would recommend to others the ASUS WL-330N or ASUS WL-330N3G since I know that portable router has the option to connect to other WIFI connections built into the software. This little pocket router is a great product but I honestly would not pay more than $20 bucks for the somewhat limited functionality it provides. It's a good deal for the price though compared to other similar products which are usually around $40 bucks or more.

Want ZyXEL Wireless N Pocket Travel Router and Access Point (MWR102) Discount?

I bought this because I needed a 2.4GHz compatible wireless access point, and this does that and more. very well

on the side of this very small router is a switch for Router or Access point, which is handy for taking it on a trip.

in the box:

router

carrying bag

AC to USB mini-B adapter (5V .6a)

USB cable

cat 5e cable

documentation

setup is easy, all the info is written on the bottom of the router (default admin login, ip address, SSID and WPA password.)

the router, in access point mode indeed does let both the LAN and WAN ports work as LAN ports. the speed is excellent and the latency is as good or better than any other dedicated access point I have used to date. the range is good for the physical size, but I don't think this is a MIMO router (who cares, no big deal)

in router mode, it just plugs in, boots quickly and WORKS.

a relief that this unit does exactly what it claims to do and does it well, with little headache.

I absolutely recommend this, I'll probably buy another.

rooCASE Neoprene Super Bubble Sleeve Case for Dell Inspiron i11z-3747OBK 11.6-inch Laptop Obsidian

rooCASE Neoprene Super Bubble Sleeve Case for Dell Inspiron i11z-3747OBK 11.6-inch Laptop Obsidian BlackI like this case very much. It's strong and durable and a nice blue color. I've gotten a few compliments on it when I travel. It fits the x100e model with extended-length battery perfectly, so it should work for the later model (x120e) which is exactly the same size.

I also have a thinner neoprene case from Lenovo (sold for the ThinkPad x100e series) which I bought for a very low price on Lenovo's outlet site, but this Roo case is much stronger and very nicely padded. I travel with the Roo case and I use the Lenovo case as a slipcover when I'm around the house (I like to use a slipcover case on all my computers---I have 4---because it keeps them cleaner and protects against possible accidents). The Roo case even has a zippered compartment that can hold small things like an Ethernet cable or memory keys (but is not quite big enough for the power adapter). The compartment is also too small to hold the external DVD drive (also from Lenovo) which I bought for the x100e. The drive will fit in the compartment, but I can't zip it closed.

A good buy in price and, as always, the buying experience (e.g., shipping) was good.

rooCASE Netbook Carrying Bag for Acer Aspire One AO722-BZ 11.6-Inch HD Netbook - Classic Series Dar

rooCASE Netbook Carrying Bag for Acer Aspire One AO722-BZ 11.6-Inch HD Netbook - Classic Series Dark Blue / BlackAcer Aspire One AO722-418 fits nicely in this case. Case is a little larger than the netbook, but seems to hold it securely. You could add an additional foam strip to make it even more secure but probably not necessary. Seems well padded but have not thrown it on the floor to test it. Outside pocket holds recharging cable, small mouse, and dvd player/burner. A nice case.

The order came in promptly. This is a quality case. It will accommodate my Acer 11.6 inch laptop comfortably with extra room, just as advertised. You can put the charger and mouse in there. It also secures the computer in the case very well. You could also fit a tablet/iPad in the outside pocket. Mine happens to be a Samsung Galaxy 10.1. Price is acceptable. I recommend it.

Seems to be a nice, well made, basic bag. Three inside pockets for papers (one 81/2 x 11, two 4 3/4 x 5 3/4). Large velcro closure front pocket for bulky items. Would have liked a little more padding for the shoulder strap.

Fits my Aspire One AO756 quite nicely, even when it's inside it's slip case.

Not a super-deluxe 'office on your shoulder' bag, but I have no complaints in the 6 months or so that I've had it.

Great product but on the expensive side.

Want Rolling Ave. i-Circle Multistand/Grip for new iPad, Black (ICRB1) Discount?

I was quite satisfied with my i-Circle case for the first couple of months: light weight, very little extra bulk added to the iPad, and the stand / grip was incredibly useful ... exactly what I had been looking for.

What changed my mind about it?... when my iPad feel from a low coffee table (just a bit over 1' high had it setting flat on the coffee table charging, my dog got tangled in the cable pulling the iPad off and onto the floor). The i-Circle was worthless in protecting my iPad from even such a low fall the corner of the i-Circle shattered on impact resulting in a small dent in that corner of the iPad. Besides not protecting my iPad, the broken corner piece left very sharp edges.

I have since found the same functionality and much better protection in the Speck HandyShell Speck Products HandyShell for New iPad 3 and iPad 4 Black/Dark Grey SPK1207

I am quite certain that had I had the Speck HandyShell on my iPad when it fell from the coffee table it would have been a non-event... no damage to either the case or the iPad.

So, the i-Circle is a great idea... but, not that great at protecting your iPad from even short drops.

PDair VX1 Black Leather Case for Samsung Galaxy Nexus GT-i9250

PDair VX1 Black Leather Case for Samsung Galaxy Nexus GT-i9250I want to give everyone a heads up. Most importantly, the inside of this pouch in ALSO leather, NOT cloth or microfiber like you would think. This is a very nice looking pouch and it has a quality build, which makes me question why PDair doesn't offer any protection on the INSIDE of the pouch. That's a huge deal. Overall 3 stars for build quality, would have been 5 if the inside of the pouch offered protection.

Baofeng UV-3R USB Programming Cable

Baofeng UV-3R USB Programming CableThe cable itself is just fine. It appears to mimic a Prolific cable, but not 100% perfectly. At some point, Prolific updated its drivers to fail this cable. (Understandable. Who wants to provide software for one's competitors?)

If you have Windows 7 Home Premium Edition, 32-bit, with Service Pack 1, the following will work. (It will probably work for other Win7 configurations; this is the only one I've personally done.)

1. Go to the Yahoo Group for UV-3). (Sorry, Amazon reviews don't let me enter a URL.)

2. Join that group. Wait to be approved by the moderator.

3. Go to the Files section for that group.

4. Navigate to the "409shop USB Driver" folder.

5. From inside that folder, download usb_drivers_win7.zip

6. Extract the contents of the zip file (PL2303_Prolific_GPS_AllInOne_1013.exe).

7. Run that .exe and install the software.

8. Go to Device Manager, and navigate to "Other devices" > "USB-Serial Controller". If it exists, right-click on it and delete it.

9. Ensure that you cable is plugged in.

10. In Device Manager, click the Action menu and select "Scan for hardware changes".

11. Under "Ports (COM & LPT)" you should now see "Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port (COMx)"

12. Connect your radio to the cable and turn on the radio.

13. Download Chirp 0.2.2 from its web site. Install it. Run it.

14. From Chirp's "Radio" menu, choose "Download from Radio". If it works, you've demonstrated that the cable and drivers work.

I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because SainSonic really ought to put this on a printed insert in the envelope with the cable. (Note to SainSonic: Feel free to copy my instructions and include them in your shipment.)

After some initial frustration and fear that either the cable or the radio (both purchased together from this seller) might be dysfunctional, I had success with it on both Windows XP running under Fusion with Mac OS Lion and also with Windows 7 on my wife's laptop. You need to understand that this is not a straight forward procedure as many may presume...

I recommend joining the Yahoo group for the Baofeng UV-R3 for the wealth of information and the fact that you can download the requisite software and drivers for this cable there. My procedure that proved successful is outlined in the Yahoo group posting #6492.

There is a bad review of the cable here at Amazon that I nearly chimed in on but persistence paid off. There is also a comment that this cable has a counterfeit Prolific chip to which I can not deny as I have not been able to get this cable to work with the genuine Prolific drivers using Chirp 0.2.2 running on Mac OS 10.7 (Lion) as yet. And Yes, there is software for the Baofeng UV-3R that runs on a Mac...

What I can attest to is that the cable works under Windows with drivers from the Yahoo group mentioned above.

I just got the cable this week but no drivers were included and the ones off the internet don't seem to work. I'll try and reach the sainstore for more info, but unless they resolve the driver issue I would not recommend buying this cable.

This sleeve is advertised as "for Sony VAIO S Series 15.5 inch" models. It is constructed with nice materials, but it definitely is too big for the advertised laptops that it supposedly fits. Also it lacks any significant padding around the outside edges of the laptop. Sure the laptop goes inside of it, but the laptop has several inches of movement inside in both directions. I would bet you could get a 17" model inside it. While it protects the laptop it certainly would not be too much help in the event of a drop.
