I ordered this case after reading the reviews. It fits my MacBook Air perfectly. It also holds my kindle and all necessary cords without being bulky. I did not have any problems with the shoulder strap and I like having it be a bright blue so I can spot it immediately as it comes out of airport x-ray machines. The case is made of a thick sturdy material, but is not heavily padded, so if you are the "hard on things" type, this may not be for you.

Performance3.8/5Performance is above average with a core i3 processor and 6GB of memory. The hard drive has plenty of space as well. Boot times are relatively low, but this laptop does lack behind other laptops, such as the Acer M5.
Speakers3/5The speakers sound VERY thin and tinny. Toshiba's Harmon Kardan speakers on its Satellite Series sound far better. But they're good enough for the average listener. Bluetooth will allow you to add your own wireless speakers, which is nice.
Keyboard/Mousepad4/5Many reviewers give the keyboard a lot of smack because the keys are a bit small. But even with my large hands, I found the keyboard to be exceedingly comfortable and good for long use. It's also backlit, which makes it easy to type in dimly lit areas. The mousepad is amazing and extremely responsive-feels like it was taken right out of a $1000+ UltraBook.
Battery3/5It's average. I get around 4 hours under normal use. 3-3.5 under heavy use.
Customer Support5/5Acer's website solves every single problem that you could possibly have. It is full of updates and patches and drivers. The support team is also very helpful.

NETGEAR ReadyNAS Ultra 4 Plus (Diskless) Network Attached Storage (RNDP400U)
Coming from the world of big iron servers and storage systems I was somewhat skeptical of these types of NAS devices. The RNDP400U is a refreshing surprise in that it does all that Netgear says it is supposed to do and more!I purchased this unit to replace an aging Sun server equipped with a SCSI Hardware RAID array that I have been using at home for years and that has become terribly inadequate in terms of storage capacity. I needed major more storage and I wanted to make certain that it would be reliable over the long term and easy to upgrade as the need arose.
The OBE (Out of the Box Experience) was excellent. I just slipped the drives (2x Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive ST2000DL003) into the first two bays and plugged it in. I fired up the discovery tool and presto, the web management page came up and I configured the unit. It did take 8+ hours to format the 2TB mirror which I thought was a pretty long time.
Working my way through the menus I discovered the ability to add various Apps which NetGear calls Addons. The most valuable one was the ssh Addon that allowed me to ssh into the unit which as a Unix admin I was pleased to be able to do.
I setup the various shares and user accounts via the web interface and then scheduled rsync jobs to copy the data from my Sun/Solaris server directly to the ReadyNAS.
I also had a bunch of pictures and video on USB drives and found that they could be connected to the ReadyNAS and the files copied directly (using the ReadyNAS web interface) from the external USB drive to the ReadyNAS shares. Considering the GBytes of data that I had to deal with this saved me a bunch of time.
Once everything was on the ReadyNAS I found that I could then use an external USB drive as a backup device! I REALLY love this feature! It allows me to connect an external USB drive that I can then backup everything on the ReadyNAS to and keep that drive in a safe/alternative location for disaster recovery. It gives me the peace of mind of knowing that if the ReadyNAS were to ever fail I would have a complete copy of my files on a USB drive that I could attach directly to any Linux system or restore directly to another ReadyNAS.
The ReadyNAS also supports rsync which makes it very simple to setup regularly scheduled (from the ReadyNAS) backup jobs to offsite network storage. In addition you can schedule backups of your PCs directly from the ReadyNAS just using SMB and file sharing from each PC. This makes it pretty easy to backup any local files and settings from your PCs. Another great feature is the ability to make shares available using NFS so that any Unix/Linux system can mount shares directly from the ReadyNAS.
The performance is really very good especially when compared to my former Sun/Solaris with hardware SCSI RAID with high performance SCSI drives. It may be old but it is still very fast and the ReadyNAS performed 30-40% faster than the Sun server. Quite a feat when you consider that I am using the 5900rpm Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB drives. Power consumption is between 45 and 110W depending on the level of activity and this is just 15% of the power consumption of my Sun server and way less noise. The ReadyNAS is almost inaudible!!
I am also impressed with the DLNA functionality. The ReadyNAS automagically appeared in the list of source on my Tivo and WD Live TV boxes and all music, video and picture were immediately accessible on those devices. No fuss!
For those that are Unix nerds having the ssh app allows you to login to the console and you will find a pretty standard (although stripped down) Linux distribution. You can do any and all things that you would expect to do from the command line on any typical Linux system. I personally found it very useful when I was moving and re-arranging the tones of files and stuff because I was able to things much faster directly from the command line vs. using Windows Explorer or the web browser interface. Given the level of power that I have found, I intend to configure email service to fully replace the email services being performed by by Sun/Solaris system and once that is complete I will be able to turn off the Sun power hog.
I would highly recommend the RNDP400U to anyone who wants to have a solid, high performance NAS whether at home or at the office. The ability to have scheduled backup to a connected USB drive as well as network backup to other servers using rsync (whether another ReadyNAS or Unix system)and also to the ReadyNAS Vault an offsite data storage service offered directly by NetGear and bundled with the RNDP400U which provides a 2 year trial of ReadyNAS Vault with 2GB of storage for Free.
If you travel or want access to the stuff you have on the ReadyNAS Netgear provides web and ftp remote access and they also have a PC based ReadyNAS Remote that allows secure remote access to shares on the ReadyNAS without complicated router or VPN setup. Access from Windows and Macs are over File Explorer and Finder, so you can easily drag & drop files like you would normally do in your LAN environment. To use ReadyNAS Remote, you will need to install a small client on your PC or Mac and you're ready to go.
The plethora of file sharing and streaming protocols is impressive fully supporting just about anything our digital media world could ask for and if it isn't built in there are Netgear offered addons and a vibrant community/open source that has all sorts of addons available as well. It is in fact the vibrancy of the ReadyNAS community that I find is a good indicator of how successful this product is and how likely it is to be supported well into the future. The open architecture of the ReadyNAS allows it to be used for far more than just a file server.
After having the ReadyNAS in my home for several months I can say that I am very satisfied with it and have recommended to my friends and colleagues for their home and/or business needs. I am quite sure that anyone who purchases this or a similar/newer model will likely be very satisfied.
The glitches: The Ultra Plus comes with a "ReadyDNLA server" built in. For reasons I still don't understand, when using ReadyDNLA, I can't see the subfolders that I added to the Media Folder, such as Music, TV, Video. Not sure why, but for me, it's a non-issue because my media box recognizes the NAS and the subfolders (not using the ReadyDNLA) and I can play media that way with no problem. I will work on the ReadyDNLA at some point. Next, the power button is illuminated with a blue light. After a week, it burnt out. Again, no big deal, since the server is hidden away anyway, and I can see it using the Raidar program that comes with the Ultra Plus. The final glitch is that I usually view the contents of the media folder from my desktop using Windows Explorer. For reasons unknown, once in a while Windows Explorer fails to see the Ultra Plus under the network tab. When that happens, the easy fix is to close Windows Explorer, run Raidar, click on "browse" and Windows Explorer opens up with the Ultra Plus folders displayed. Again, it is a glitch, but no big deal.
This is a great unit. I highly recommend it.

This is the third Readynas that I own and never had a problem with any of them. I test one feature at a time and thus far they have all passed.The GUI is always available. The Raidar always detects my Readynas. I loaded Orb and can access my Readynas and watch my home videos or listen to music from anywhere that has internet connectivity. Readynas remote (Remote VPN connection for file transfers)works great. I wrote some scripts that has my Readynas send me a test e-mail everyday or lets me know which files are duplicates. The Ultra4 shuts down automatically when the power goes out to my house (Ultra is attached to a UPS). Everything just works. I have tested all of the various RAID levels, rebuilding of drives, drive failure detection and all have worked fine on all of the models I have. My Ultra4 streams movies and music to my IPOD touch, laptops and desktops(Linux, Mac or Windows). I backup all my computers to the Ultra4 over my network. My Readynas sends text messages to my cellphone when the power flickers in my house or if an issue is detected on one of my hard drives. All of the features work...Just make sure you know for sure that you are putting known good hard drives in the unit. They also should be on the HCL (Hardware compatibility list).
Update (April 30,2012) : My Readynas Ultra4 Plus is still going strong. I continue to add photos, documents, etc... and the thing just continues to work.
I am still truly impressed with my 3 Readynas devices and I will continue to keep my precious data on these devices. I have standby fans, hard drives, etc... and these Readynas devices will just not fail.. I actually want one of my hard drives to fail just so I can see the rebuild process in action again...To all of you that had bad experiences with these devices, you just had bad units..By gosh even the Space Shuttle blew up..no technology is immune to some failed units. These bad units just need to be returned and exchanged for one that is good...You also need to put HCL approved, known good hard drives in these units.I purchased this item after going through quiet a bit of reading/research. Used the readynas site for user's input, which I found useful. When I pulled the trigger, I knew that it wasn't the unit that fit one need but hoped I could manage with it. At the end this device's poor performance transcoding content on the fly was a deal breaker and I ended up sending it back. I basically wanted to augment my home media center, by using this device to backup content from my tivo and also stream to a play station and roku set.
The tivo support seemed great at first, but then realized that it was limited. Tivo would only store content that didn't have digital rigths media (DRM) embedded, which ended up being very little help. The transcode piece was a complete failure with the play station and roku while trying to play 720p HD content from mkv/m4v files. It would play 6 minutes and then make us wait for a minute to play additional 6 minutes.
Otherwise the unit did what I would expect it do for a product in its price. Giving me 4 bays and an intuitive interface to manage/add applications, configure different services, etc. I was very disappointed that it came with a trial backup software, leaving me having to buy a license if I wanted to continue using it. Performance and speed for file transfer (mostly CIFS) looked great, so no complains there. I will be receiving its replacement soon (competitor) with a slightly better CPU and this one at least provides backup software client.

ordered the seagate constellation drive(2TB) at the same time and although i checked to have everything delivered in one shipment it came in two(2).After a fashion got it up and working. lost my initial share(logical drive) config. but no data. logins/passwords discription/locations a tad confusing. If i ever get to where i need more storage will buy same unit.

checked the new battery voltage and its OK. i realized that it came with a electronic board which i have no idea what is it for. so i had to actually disassembly the battery package, unsolder this electonic circuit that came with and replaced it with the circuit that the original battery came with.
After all this hassle, i had to leave the ipaq plugged in for almost 2 days before charge percentage finally moved above 0. now it works.

This is just a basic silicone cover. It fits the Blackberry Curve very well, and the color of it is pretty. The color in person is much more of a bright pink than it is in the photo.It seems thick enough to protect the blackberry a bit against minor falls and scratches, while not adding a substantial amount of bulk to the phone like some other covers. The texture of the silicone makes the phone easier to grip.
For the price, I am very pleased with this product. No complaints.

Sharp Zaurus SL-5600 PDA
I've been using Palm PDAs for about five years now and wanted to upgrade to something new. I had seen the Zaurus 5500 and was going to purchase one before I heard that the 5600 was being released. The 5600 is fast, applications load quickly and the OS seems to be very stable. I haven't had anything crash yet. Setting up wireless networking with a CF card is trivial, plug the card in, run the network config application and type in your WEP key and you're on the net. Surfing with Opera is excellent, you can zoom in and out on web pages and I haven't found any pages that it won't display. I have yet to try the Hancom applications for reading and writing Word and Excel docs but everything else works very well. Now I just need to find an SSH client for it and I'll really be in business.
The true test was then the synching feature. I installed the Intellisync software on my machine from the CD that came with my Zaurus, plugged in the docking station, put my Zaurus on there and hit the synch button. It all Synched without one problem! What a breeze!
The battery life on the 5600 is much improved over the 5000D and the 5500. Other things I love about the Zaurus: I can read and edit Word and Excel documents on it; can view PowerPoint presentations; the sliding QWERTY keyboard is convenient and, although it looks small and hard to use, it really is quite handy and easy to use. I also like the fact that you can use a compactflash card (CF) and/or a SecureDigital (SD) card. I could list more but I think my word limit is about up for this review! Bottomline: Highly recommend!

This device is almost perfect for the linux user who wants something smaller than his\her laptop. In order to appreciate this device, you really have to like linux. If you have never used linux, dont bother, get yourself an M$ windows pda.If you're like me and love linux, you'll love the zaurus. You can get virtually all main stream linux apps for it (gcc, make, apache, mysql...the list goes on and on). I especially like that fact that it has a java runtime, and with the addition of compiler (try ibm's Jikes compiled for zaurus) you have a pocket java development environment.
The fact that it has CF and SD slots means you can have your wifi and your extra storage in at the same time, which is a great plus.
The fold out keyboard is slightly slower than a full size, but still light years ahead of stupid handwriting recognition on other devices (although the z has that too)
There are tons of different roms availible, from sharp and others. One that fixes the pxa250 cache errata is definatly required, as you may have heard this is a bug which affects performance. But if you flash with a special kernel it fixes this bug and allows you to clock the device up to 471 mhz! NICE!
The Only thing I would add to this device is a built in DOWNSTREAM usb port, so that you can plug in usb devices. A Compact flash Usb card is availible from ratoc (for $150). I bought that too and now i can connect external HD's, Gamepads, Keyboards, Extra Wifi's, and maybe even printers or cd burners.
While Pocket PC Users can say things like "my Ipaq is LIKE a pc!" The zaurus user can say "my zaurus IS a PC".
There really isnt anything you cant do on the zaurus since its a full linux OS.
I would whole heartedly reccomend this product to EVERY linux user

I've been looking for a replacement for my Visor Platinum for a while now, and this one caught my eye. Aside from the fact that this model carries a faster processor and a longer lasting battery compared to the 5500, the size of the unit "may" look identical from the face, but the extended battery comes with a small price. The back of the unit sticks out slightly to accomodate for the larger battery. It's still one of the most feature rich PDA's out there with a pretty impressive onboard speaker and microphone. Transferring files to the CF or SD memory cards is pretty "clunky" so purchasing a 6-in-1 type reader is the best way to go if you want to transfer larger files. The box itself includes the Zaurus + a removable clear flip top similar to the old Palm III, a usb sync cradle, a laptop style ac adapter which can be used independantly of the cradle, a stylus, sync software, and manuals.Want Sharp Zaurus SL-5600 PDA Discount?
I have had the Zaurus for 2 days. This device is simply amazing. Just a few things to mention1) WI-FI support, I just plugin my Linksys wireless CF card, and it worked, on Pocket PC, I had to install software.
2) The wirelsss connection and the browser work great. On Pocket PC, the buggy MS software frequently quit working for no reason, and I had to reset the Pocket PC unit. The Linux based Zaurus is rock soild.
3) The USB syncing is reliable. The Pocket PC won't even work via the USB hub, you have to connect it directly to a USB port. Furthermore, activesync frequently stops working, and I had to reboot both the PC and PDA.
Now let me tell you something I have done:
1) installed OpenSSH onto the unit. After that, I leave the unit downstairs, upstairs using a notebook I wirelessly sshed into the PDA, it's just another UNIX server, at the bash promopt, I use wget to download a bunch of files from the net, including PERL, APACHE, and MYSQL. MySQL is only a few hundred kilio bytes, I created a few tables and run some SQL queries. Great!
2) Installed a VNC server on the PDA, then on my PC I use vncviewer to connect to the PDA, the PDA screen shows up on the PC, and I can remotely operate it via its GUI interface.
On the net, I found all sorts of applications ported to Zaurus, even including things like XFfree86 and Courier-mail server. Maybe we should do some web and mail benchmarking on this 400MHZ device.
In conclusion, this PDA is a true Linux machine with a small keyboard and screen that can be put in your pocket, you can use it to listen to mp3, browser web or serve web and email.....or whatever open source.

Body Glove Snap-On Case for the HTC Droid Incredible
I have had my HTC Incredible for almost six weeks and this case has been on it for the entire time. Verizon put it on before I left the store. It is tough, attaches to the phone well, and has a rubberized outer covering that provides good shock protection. The interior of the case is lined with a velvetine covering to prevent scratches when installing or removing a nice touch.The area around all access points/controls is raised for protection and provides room for bulky headphone plugs as well as letting you put the phone down on it's back without hurting the camera.
The negatives of this design are that it is thick, putting a raised edge right where you have to press p and q and the upper case and delete keys on your virtual keyboard. It also blocks the search button somewhat at the lower right side of the phone. I have fairly large hands so this may be part of the problem, but it definitely slows down my texting, causes errors in typing and reduces the fun of using the phone in general. I have lived with it because the case is pretty heavy duty and I like the protection, but I am seriously considering going to a thinner hard case.
The other thing to remember is that if you use this case with the belt clip, you will have the stud sticking out the back of the phone so it is harder to get it into your pocket or another case if you need to (I keep a nylon case on my camera bag for the phone when I am hiking). The stud is big enough that the phone will sit level on it when putting it down on a table, but just something you ought to know.
The version of this case on Amazon has a different clip than the one sold at Verizon. It looks like it has a little pull out stand so the phone can be set upright on a desk or table. This is a really nice feature as I prop mine on things so that I can see it while working. Overall a well built and designed case. It does work against the thin form factor of the Incredible and the large screen that pushes certain items to the edge of the device however.
One concern I had with a lot of the cases I tried was the camera lens on the back of the phone. ALL of the slimline cases left the camera lens sticking out enough that it touched any surface I laid the phone on. No good. The Body Glove case has excellent protection of the camera lens. Just enough depth that the lens doesn't touch any surface.
Also, while the Body Glove has nice, thick exterior protection, it also has a soft, cushioned inside for the phone to sit in. And even though there is a thickness to the outer protective layer, it doesn't interfere with the touch screen at all. The leather book-style case I purchased interferes enough to be super annoying. Not so with the Body Glove case. So far, after about 8, maybe 9 other purchases, the Body Glove wins for peace of mind that my new phone is protected whether it's sitting on my desk at work or sitting in my bag while I'm in transit.
Eforcity was excellent to do business with, as well. Can't complain about anything here. I love the case. It was shipped securely and with tracking. A good purchase for the protection of your phone. I highly recommend both the item and the seller.

I dropped my phone several times over the past 7 months and the Body Glove finally gave out. The four tabs that hold the two sides together tend to break relatively easily. Also, I made the mistake of purchasing a couple of cheap replacement batteries and found out that they were slightly thicker than the OEM battery and prevented me from properly closing the body glove. I did purchase the Seidio 1750mAh battery and it fits fine. That being said, I still ordered a replacement Body Glove because, in spite of the drawbacks mentioned above, it offers terrific protection, feels great to the touch, doesn't slide on any surface and has that cool kickstand on the clip. For the $16-17 price, I think it's worth it.UPDATE 8/31/2011: My second Body Glove also broke after just two drops. Again it was the internal tabs that snapped apart. Decided to go with the Seidio ACTIVE Case for HTC Droid Incredible. I've had it for a week and, although more slippery than the body Glove, it is a good product. Dropped the phone once already and the ACTIVE Case didn't even smudge. So, if you never drop your phone, go with the Body Glove. Otherwise, try something like the Seidio.

The case is tough and sturdy. It has saved my Incredible from a potentially damaging fall or two. The one gripe I have is the the sides are such that it makes it a chore at times to press the q, p, backspace and return keys. The case works great. The fit is snug, it won't slide out when turned upside down briefly. The back and front cover are soft and cushioned something that might be hard to tell from the photos. I haven't received my stylus yet so I cannot comment on the fit when there is a stylus in the cover. There is a magnet that holds the covers together, strong enough to hold it together so it won't flop open but not so strong that you would need to pry it apart with a crowbar. My only real gripe, albeit a small gripe, is that there is no magnet to hold the covers open when you fold them back. I am very happy with this purchase, the case is constructed well and not overly bulky or heavy (very light in fact).
My only complaint is that there is no way to secure the nook inside the pocket. It is not often that my case is turned upside down but it does happen on occasion. The nook slides right out, quite smoothly in fact.
Overall I very much like my Herringbone Book Case from JAVOedge and am happy with my purchase.

Bought this for my teenage daughter and it served its purpose prior to her dropping the phone. The case was snug to the phone, sliding action wasn't hindered, and all buttons and ports were accessible. After dropping the phone, one of the tabs holding it together broke off allowing the case to pop apart. All in all, we're pleased with it and going to order another, just wish it had more than one life.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I had a heck of a time trying to get this running. The short story is go to the Visioneer web site to download the latest tools and utilities. I have it running fine on a Windows 7 notebook.I have a standard flatbed scanner for photos that is my primary use, but for quick scans of bills, receipts etc., it's a great addition. I save everything to PDF and can shred most paper keeping the documents as files backed up on disc. For tax purposes, it's ideal. You have everything searchable and no digging through papers and file drawers. I am not almost completely paperless and this is the way to go.
The quality is pretty good, and everything textual is crisp and printable. Obviously not intended for photos or artistic use, even though it is a color scanner. I prefer my standard flatbed. This is merely a companion to my paper shredder.
The current (MSRP) list price is too high, but the sale price is currently 64% off. That's about right.
Pros:
Nice bundle with scanner hardware, drivers, OCR software (Omnipage Pro 15) and organizer software (Paperport 11). These appear to be full versions and work in their function.

OK... I had this scanner for years now and I wanted to update my review. Since I use it all the time and even though it is only one page at a time, it has been a life saver! It travels well, is powered by just the USB (no plug in power). I have dropped it and it still works fine.If you are scanning a lot of pages, like I was when I bought this scanner, you will be frustrated. But... now I am just an occasional scanner and I am very happy with it.
You will need a .pdf merger program like pdf995 to make docs into one .pdf for more than one page.
The software is a non-issue once it is setup because the .pdf just appears on the screen and not the software.

Below is my initial review, which is all valid.
This product seems to work pretty well.
It is very small, came with a leather sleeve for travel, and software included. It has one big button on the scanner, but I do not know if it does anything, because it comes to life and scans anything you stick in there automatically (no need to turn on).
The software was a little crazy to install (had to install twice) but seems to work well. Comes with some warnings about not plugging the device in until the software is installed, but then it was unclear exactly when to connect the scanner.
This is USB powered so there is no AC plug.
Scans in black and white or color, just have to change the settings to color.
It is a little tricky to get a straight and complete scan. Helps to have a flat surface and smooth paper. It starts scanning when the sensor is triggered so if the paper is not all the way in to the feeder then you will miss some of the paper and have to try again.
My biggest grievance with this product is the software. You only get a trial version of their software! If it was a full version I would have given this product 5 stars. The trial version only allows one page at a time. The full version allows you to merge those pages into a single .pdf. Sending someone a 12 page contract on 12 different pdf files is a joke and far from professional.
If you merge these and send them with the trial version, the pdf will have "TRIAL VERSION" all over the front of it embarrassing as well.
The full version of the software cost $100 as much as the scanner.
Work around Set the software to scan into Adobe pdf format, get free pdf995 and then you can merge pdf documents for free.
Thinking of sending this back only because of the lack of ability to merge pages scanned into one pdf. This should not be a $100 add on, everyone is going to need to do this.
The work around is OK, but why should anyone have to take extra steps for this most basic function? Come on Xerox!!
The applications that come with it are great, too. I love the drag-and-drop approach to building my single PDF of all my receipts. My customers do too. Very easy to work with everybody can read PDFs.
Only reason it doesn't rate a 5-star rating is because it has developed a habit of generating a faint line on scans wider than 2 inches. If I clean it before every use (about a 3-5 minute process since it requires multiple cleaning passes and test scans), it's under control and works like new. However, the line seems to continually recur and annoying. Not bad enough to ruin the scan but, still, it shouldn't be doing it at all. I may contact Xerox to see what they think but too busy just now to do so.
Not a complete replacement for your flatbed scanner if you need high quality photo scanning but excellent for everything else.
Highly recommended.

I bought this because out of all the portable scanners, this had the best reviews. It runs off of USB not requiring an extra power adapter, which is a plus in my book. The instructions talk about using a cleaning sheet, which I have yet to find. So far, cleaning has not been and issue. I always put it back in the leather pouch that came with it after each use, so dirt and grime probably aren't going to be much of an issue for me.The reason it got 4 stars instead of five is the software, as most other reviewers have complained about. I am pretty computer savvy, and I had a heck of a time figuring out the issues with it. The scans were coming out dark and fuzzy in all formats. I went through the adjustment scanning process a couple of times and finally got the scans to come out clear. Because it has an auto scan feature, it made the process difficult.
I am using Windows 7 64 bit, and it comes with Windows fax and scan software. I find that this makes the scan process much simpler. Clicking scan instead of the auto scan in the provided software eliminates issues of crooked scans or off page. Now it is a breeze. Click scan, pops up in adobe, name it, save it. Done.
For the price, portability, and size, this is a great little product. If Xerox provided a more viable scan and edit software with the product, it would be a 5 star.

I bought this because it was small so I could use it when I travel for business. It scans receipts very quickly with great quality and crops them automatically. The scan application opens and takes the scan automatically when you insert a paper. I can scan many receipts very quickly. I use it at home instead of my normal scanner now because it is so much faster and it makes doing my expenses much less of a headache. I'd had a Canon flatbed scanner before I got this one, and I loved it, but needed something to work with a newer operating system. After reading the reviews, and reviewing prices, I opted for the Travel Scanner 100. I hate it. The installation is an ongoing nightmare -after several hourse, I still haven't gotten it installed. I could not register for support because the registration software didn't work. What parts of the installation process I could see didn't work according to the documentation. I'm administrator on my machine, but couldn't install the scanner because I didn't have the correct authority. You're given a choice of three scanners (no "plug & play" here) and nothing I picked worked. There was no option for the Travel Scanner 100. Since the installation didn't finish, I can't uninstall it. Now I have to figure out how to get the remnants off of my machine. I'll send it back for a refund if I can. What a mess.Save 50% Off
