This is a great laptop sleeve. It fits my HP Pavilion snugly and has substantial padding. The pocket is nice for holding a CD/DVD, a small pad of paper, a pen/pencil and a flash drive, but isn't large enough for a mouse or a true hard drive. Great for putting in my backpack (when I already have lots of pocket space) so I know it's safe in there.

I researched to make sure this case was going to dit my tablet the description said it would so when it arrived I threw the packaging away and realized the bottom of the case covered he menu buttons. So this case is useless and I still have to keep it ans pay for it.

The case is OK... it works as seen, so it was precisely what I expected. The build quality is not that great, but that was also expected.

Same with the stylus set, but in this case, you should also be aware that the styli won't be a good choice for sketching, writing or any forms of freehand manifestation... because of capacitive screen's nature, all capacitive-compatible styli will be quite imprecise... if your idea is to use it for those other purposes, a Jot or similar stylus is a good option, although they're much more expensive, and still not really precise (I do have one with me).

I ordered this product together with my new Samsung Tab 2. So far I am satisfied with it even though it has minor flaws like the stylus pens (I received three) aren't that of high quality, when you use the leather case as a stand the tab would slide to the bottom.

Also, the cleaning cloth helps and the holes are perfect for the buttons and cameras on the side and back.

I wanted to learn asl, just to learn it. I like seeing the way it is done, and thought why not, I'll give it a try. It has 2 cd roms. the 1st one installs the program, and has the avatar and some things to start with. The 2nd cd, has the other program to get you further along.

I like the fact that you can slow the avatar down to super slow speed, or have it on like he is super speedy. The wholde program is great for someone like me who is a true beginner.

It is easy to learn, and its cheaper than classes.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to some odd and esoteric things and cell phone cases, especially belt-clipped ones, are no exception. What can I say, little things can get to me sometimes.

I'm a little chubby, so having something clipped to my belt quite often irritates my side a bit, especially when sitting or moving. Usually if the clip itself is too big. I had a semi-generic case that I got at a Cingular kiosk at the mall and hated it. It wasn't cut for the phone at all, in order to use the phone I had to remove it entirely from the case, and the clip was too big, it poked me in the side and irritated me as I walked. Inevitably I'd have to remove it and put it in my pocket. The clip wasn't removeable either, so it added too much bulk to even my jacket pocket.

The pictures don't do this case justice. The 'screw' you see fits neatly and easily into the slot on the clip, and the clip holds it in pretty well, released by a simple thumb press on the button on top of the clip. The clip itself is unobtrustive when the phone isn't in it, I usually forget it's there. Even when the phone is in it, if I turn it horizontally to angle with my belt, I barely know it's there. The only downside is that the latch that holds down the screw isn't very stiff or sturdy and it doesn't take a lot of pressure to pop it out. Sitting in a chair or in a car seat can easily press it up and out. Normal walking around doesn't affect it though and that's enough for me. I usually take it off when I'm going to sit down anyway.

The specially-cut holds for all of the buttons and camera are very handy. I definitely feel confident that the phone is safe and at the same time easily useable. Even when I'm not using my hands-free Bluetooth headset, it's still easily manageable.

My one minor gripe is that the case is really designed for the standard battery. That fits great. Put the extended battery on it and it becomes a tight squeeze. Still useable, but the sides bow out a little and it's still not 'in' all the way. That being said, the lid still shuts and snaps shut snuggly, which is more than I can say for the generic one I had before.

Overall it's a sharp product, easily worth the cost. If/when I get a new phone, I'll definitely be back looking for one of these for it.

I purchased a couple of these for my kids for Christmas, 2003. According to the tech specs, the transmission range for these things is 120 to 150 feet.

The units we received indicate 'out of range' when taken upstairs in our house, which is about 50 feet from the base unit.

I used Motorola's web support site and asked if it was possible that my units were defective. They sent me the URL to an FAQ, which told me that the working range for these things is 150 feet. Very frustrating. It seems they did not even read my question. To add insult to injury, their automated customer satisfaction followup email was emblazoned with the motto 'intelligence everywhere'. I beg to differ.

In summary, I do not recommend the IMfree.

Other than its somewhat-cute looks, the IMFree handheld is a terrible product, because it doesn't work. This is a big disappointment to me as I'm usually a big fan of Motorola's products.

First of all, the charging takes forever, and the units seem to have trouble holding the charge. BTW, you get one base and one handheld unit in each package. Kinda weird since I haven't found a way to buy the handheld unit separately. So you over-pay each time and get this large package with things you don't need.

Second, wireless range is truly terrible. If you live in a loft you'll probably be ok, but for those of us who live in walled houses, the reception completely drops after just a few feet when you move to the otherside of a wall.

Third, the keyboard sucks, and the screen sucks even more. Keys are very hard to hit, and the screen is not viewable in most lighting conditions.

Fourth, the IM program sucks. There's a slight but noticeable delay in IM, and it doesn't always tell you when your buddies log off.

In short, this is an alpha product, and you shouldn't have to pay for your frustrations.

We got both of our children, son 14 & daughter 10, one of these for christmas last year. My husband & both thought that for the small price we paid it might last a month & then fall apart, but to our surprise, almost a year later they are still working perfectly! They are worth every penny we paid for them & more. The kids can walk around the house & instant message with their friends. It is much easier than a laptop because of the small size which is about the size of a PDA. We downloaded the software & the base just plugs into one of our desktop computers; a very easy set up. They have the freedom to move around anywhere in our home & sometimes even manage to do chores while using the IMFree. I would say that if you have kids or teens that IM a lot, it would be a great gift, especially if you are trying to put off purchasing another computer. The IMFree would be a MUCH cheaper option.

Dear Lord, first of all for the record this thing sucks. It takes over 16 hours to charge the battery. It took twice as long for me because the charger for mine was irregular and did not fit correctly so it would occasionaly stop charging all together. (Way to go Motorola)Second, after using it a grand total of 2 times it stopped working all together. It simply did not turn on. Even during those two times it was a poor substitute for a computer. The lighting is poor and frankly the black and gray graphics are crappy. I didn't expect this to be perfect but I did expect it to be functional. I was going to return it for a new one but after this experience I am going to get a refund instead. Also as teenager this device is marketed towards me. However if this is what Motorola thinks I and my peers want they are sorely mistaken. First of all, this handheld needs a backlight and color screen. Also it is extremely annoying that u have to have the computer on the whole time. I have DSL so the computer just sits there the whole time. I would not mind paying extra for these features.

As for people who say the MX240a has terrible range, it must be interference with your area. I have an IMfree base station connected on top of an entertainment center (about a foot and a half away from the ceiling) in my basement, at about a foot away from the absolute front of my house. My room is at the back of my house, on the opposite side, upstairs. I can easily lay in bed and watch TV while talking on the MX240a. There is a tiny lag. TINY. I know this because I've left my AIM running on the PC downstairs and speakers on just to see when the sound cued downstairs, and compared it to when I got the message. Miniscule.

For those who say the keyboard sucks and screen sucks and all of this; try thinking of it compared to a phone. They keyboard on this thing is obviously designed so you're NOT typing traditional keyboarding style, but instead... thumb talk. Text messaging. This thing is a dream as compared to AIM's use of IM Forwarding to text messages on a cell phone. I'm an avid thumb typer with this, and I've had no problems.

The only thing missing is the use of a Timex Indiglo style backlight. That's absolutely it. Maybe a higher resolution LCD screen, but I see no purpose in having a full color backlit LCD screen, as this thing is to supplement for convenience, not replace your PC.

Although the common person to buy this is to get their teen off the computer, I bought it so I didn't have to sit in my basement studio, away from home theater, couches, bed, etc. to simply chat online without using a cell phone. May I stress, although aimed at, this product is NOT strictly for teenagers or preteens that you want off of the "family PC" ...it's for anyone who's tired of being stuck in the room with the PC just to talk online.

I paid approx. $45 for this thing at Circuit City, and it came with the base station. For a while (I haven't seen them since I bought this), they also sold the MX240a alone for about $15 less than the "starter kit"

I am very pleased, and could only ask for a simple backlight.

PDair Leather Case for Blackberry Torch 9800 - Flip Type (White)

The case if very nice and classy looking and even though it is white, is staying surprisingly clean so far. The only problem with is that the flip part of the case flops over when I want to take a picture and blocks the lens of the camera, so I have to hold it up with one hand when taking a picture. Other than that I'm happy with it because the top part of all the other torch cases eventually break off or pop off and I end up with just the bottom half on the phone.

This is a beautiful and elegant case. The leather is excellent quality. It protects my phone beautifully.

I've gotten many compliments. The swivel clip is great. Clips on to everything and is easy to release.

After purchasing this product it took a long time to get to it destination. In addition, the case has a magnetic front that messes up the phone. At first I thought it was just phone and went to my carrier and couldn't figure it out what was wrong. So I decided to remove it from the case for a week. During that week, my phone did not act up at all. While in the carrier, the phone would freeze or turn off by it self but now it work just fine. Such a waste of $30 for this case to just sit there being useless. Unfortunately, this company is in Hong Kong and it would cost the same to return it. Live and learn. Be careful before buying this item....

Navman PiN 100 Portable GPS Pocket PC Navigation System

After seeing the terrible review at InfoSyncWorld, I became very worried that I was going to regret having just purchased the Navman PiN 100. There is very little in the way of reviews for this product so I will try to be as thorough as I can.

As a Pocket PC, I am completely satisfied with the Navman PiN 100. It is actually just a Mio DigiWalker (it even has the Mio DigiWalker logo on the back of it) so if you have seen reviews for that, then this is the same thing. It runs Windos Mobile 2003, has one expansion slot (an SDIO slot), and a suitably fast CPU and on-device storage & memory. I have used it as a Pocket PC for many things now and have not once felt the hardware specs to be lacking. Handwriting recognition is still awful but that is something to mention in a review of Windows Mobile 2003 operating system itself, not the Navman.

You WILL need a 256 or 512MB SD card to hold maps. The included 32MB card is basically worthless, I left it in the box and never used it. Many if not most states are over 30MB and that means you would not even be able to load them onto the card. I suggest getting one of those 256MB cards with wifi ability built-in, then you can kill two birds with one stone. Wifi is a neat thing to have.

As an in-car GPS solution, the Navman is hands-down absolutely the best value on the market. For under $500 (which is including the absolutely necessary additional purchase of a memory card) you get a Pocket PC, all necessary cables, an unobtrusive GPS receiver, a windshield mount, a car charger/adapter, and of course the Smart ST v2 GPS software. The Garmin iQue 3600 is its closest competitor -I tried it too and decided the Navman PiN was both the better value and the superior product (bigger, brighter screen among many other things). Unfortunately the Navman PiN package feels exactly like what it is -not one well-integrated product but a box of products sold as a bundle. When you open the box you are confronted with several envelopes, nearly a half dozen CD-ROMs, three different user manuals, and a confusing pile of cords and accessories. They burden you with actually loading the Smart ST v2 software on the Pocket PC, before you load it on your PC, register it and activate it, then install ActiveSync from another CD, and a bunch of other hassles like configuring the GPS COM port and baud rate -TOO many hassles -before you are finally ready to use the product. There was so much paperwork in the box that I spent several confused minutes wondering where the serial number was that the software wanted in order to install it. I would like to see the software pre-loaded on the handheld and all of the necessary stuff for your PC come on one single DVD ROM. I just plunked down 5 benjamins for a GPS toy, do you think I have not found myself a DVD drive for my computer yet? Get with the 21st century people.

Battery life is certainly better than the iQue 3600. It is at least 3 or 4 hours but I haven't done any real tests so I don't have an actual figure to give.

The GPS receiver takes some time to pick up satellites. Anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes on your first use, and 2 to 5 minutes from a cold start after that. It seems like definitely longer if you are moving. This is too long in my opinion, I don't know if other receivers are better, or not. As an in-car device I generally want to take it out of my pocket, put it on the dash, and have it ready to go. Instead I have to sort of sit there in the car for a few minutes or just wait until the first stoplight to check on where I am or where I am going.

The car charger is just that -nothing to say about it. It gets the job done and is nice to have. The windshield mount is a suction cup mount and secures excellently to the windshield. I wish I could say the same for how well it secures the handheld. It barely does at all. It sort of just cradles it lightly. If you put your Navman in it without the utmost care, it is liable to fall right out. That is NOT good. I recommend angling it back some so that gravity holds it in a little. This seems to work for me. I would have rather it clipped in or snapped in, but no.

The rest of this review is going to sound pretty harsh because I don't really like the GPS software that the Navman PiN comes with (Smart ST v2 2.00.0036 SP2). It is promising, but fatally flawed. I want to say up front though, that I would not give up using this device just because I think the software sucks. I just deal with the frustrations and hope there will be an update to iron them out later.

First off, the map view. The map view is gorgeous, in full 16-bit color, with color coded roads to show your route, the current road you're on, roads that pass under/over your road, and little arrows indicating direction of traffic. Major and minor roads are different colors, and the roadnames are displayed very clearly and legibly. Geography like lakes and forest is marked with blue and green. The view switches to a 3D angled view whenever you are on a route to a destination, and rotates so that up is always your heading and you can see more in front of you than behind. The graphics are state-of-the-art for this market and nothing in its price range with the exception of TomTom Navigator can touch it. Your friends will be impressed.

The voice navigation is well-timed and intelligible, with the exception of "make a legal u-turn" which to most people sounds like "make illegal u-turn" (worth a few laughs). Voice only says when to turn and which direction, it doesn't say the street name or even highway number, which is too bad but that's typical for a PocketPC program.

The two big disasters of this software are its address input for destinations and routing, and the routing algorithm itself. These are the fatally flawed features which keep me from recommending this device to anyone who would get frustrated easily.

When inputting an address, you are allowed to select from your contacts (a Windows Mobile 2003 feature), however if you do this, you will 100% of the time be told that you have selected an invalid address. Sometimes this is because the map data is 18 months old and doesn't know this address exists, but most of the time it will accept the address if you re-enter it by hand. This is unacceptable. Also, when you start entering it by hand, it will suggest a drop down list of possible locations, and they will all seem pretty much like the same place. There is no way to tell if the address you are entering should be in Richmond VA, Richmond MCD VA, or one of several other entries for what is obviously the same place. Then you will enter a street, for instance Lotus Lane, but it will not be found because you didn't type Lotus La. This is asinine. Entering the address for a destination takes 5 mintues because of this nonsense, when it should take 5 seconds. And you will have to do this every time you enter the address, unless you pick destinations off of your "Recent" list. Once, I loaded a destination off of my contact list and ignored the "invalid address" warning and Smart ST2 routed me to some completely non-related location of the same town. From now on I make sure I do the address input in the way it wants it.

As for routing, it has a lot of quirks. I will describe some of the ones I have experienced. To put it blunty, it can recommend some DUMB routes -I mean really out of your way sometimes. I use "quickest" navigation and "shortest distance" is even worse. Once it took me to what appeared to be a complete dead end, and the map said I could keep going -not without a machete I couldn't. I drew an "avoid area" and the route put me back on the course I should have stayed on in the first place. Other times, it takes you pretty close to where you have to go and says you have reached your destination, but you could be anywhere from one to eight blocks away from where you need to be. This can be frustrating if you fight hard for a parking spot in the city and get out and realize you still have to walk 8 blocks. It might have to do with the way the software estimates street addresses. It uses ranges of addresses and estimation to guess where a particular street address is. Sometimes this works reasonably well and other times (when ranges are large) it doesn't work at all. You might be better off never giving it a street address. Instead only give it street intersections and take yourself from there. Autorouting works fairly well, but Smart ST2 is slow to route anything, and so it will display a question mark for a minute or two until it suggests a new route. Sometimes when you know better and have a better route in mind, it will stubbornly insist you make a u-turn at every cross street until finally re-routing and "seeing the light" of what route you had in mind. I have seen other PocketPC software be smarter and faster at re-routing.

So in conclusion, I highly recommend this product to geeks willing to deal with some quirks (and hope for fixes), but not to the general public who would probably be hopelessly frustrated by the routing and input problems, despite the pretty interface and good value.

P.S. my review of the software is of the version after you apply the currently available patch on Navman's site. Before I did this, all of the routing problems I mentioned above were like twice as bad, and I would have given two stars instead of three. When reading any poor reviews of the Navman PiN, try to check if they are using the software before or after the patch.

WARNING The US version ships with a 32M card not the 128M card cited in the Australian review posted here. A hastily added sticker on the box says a 128M card is "recommended" In fact, unless you live in a rural area, you can't load the map for your home area until you buy an additional card. Amazon should note this in its listing. The manufacturer has decided that its worth shipping a product that can't be used as shipped to save a few bucks.

The only other problem is a poorly documented setup. Basically they're shipping a kit. First you load the PC software on your desktop, then load the map software from the included (too small) card. Finally you load the map setup software on your desktop and activate your Navman over the internet . That's when I discovered I couldn't load the map for Northern California until I got an additional 128M card. As it happens I could steal one from my Treo 600, so I managed to get it functioning.

Once working, it works well. Entering addresses is strange if you don't have a zip code because they've made up sub regions that are parts of a town. Once the destination is in, however, the 3D maps are beautiful and (so far) seem accurate. Voice prompts are useful but not overly verbose. It's easy to use and read as well as being a nice small, light package

If the maker hadn't made a last minute decision to ship it without the required card, I'd have raised it to 4 stars.

Buy Navman PiN 100 Portable GPS Pocket PC Navigation System Now

After researching different GPS navigation options (laptop with adapter, built in car unit, PDA with adapter, handhelp GPS etc) I decided to get the Navman PiN. (its the same as the Mitac, which has been out for a while and plenty of product reviews available)

It arrived 2 days before my cross-coutry drive. I unpacked it and started the installation and set up. It took a bit longer than I expected, their web site is horrible, and since the product needs to be registered before you casn use it, you better hope their server is up and runing otherwise install may fail. After sweating the install I got it working. (2 hours later) Its been working perfectly ever since. Very easy to use for the most part very accurate. During the whole cross country trip, we experience no problems. Sometimes, the device thinks you are driving next to but not on the road, and shows you travelling parallel to the highway. (i think this may be more of a map issue) I found this really annoying because it starts telling you to make turns to get you 'back' on the highway even though you are on it already. Also sometimes it would suggest an obviously ill advised manuever. So you can't be a vegetable about the navigating, you gotta think and I would definitely carry a map to compare some of the suggested routes vs reality. I wish the deivce would allow more control about sepcific preffered routes. (i.e. I want it to show me my favorite route instead of just Shortest or Quickest)

Let me just say, the device is really amazing. I am nit picking in order to lay out some of the things I found annoying about the device, but all things considered there is nothing even close to this on the market right now (except for the Garmin iQue, which I do not like because of the Palm OS and the lack of SDIO port (you gotta have the SDIO option for wireless networking)

I highly reccomend this device to everyone, fantastic screen, small unit, amazing functionality.

I want to give it 4.5 stars.

I found that a 128MB SD card holds enough maps for a full days driving (about 1000miles in most directions) therefore my 3000 mile trip required little over three and a half 128MB cards) I am considering buying the new 256MB SD/811g wireless networking card)

I wish it came bundled with cradle, mini-headphone jack adapter, built in WiFi antenna and card and an extra SD card.....but for about 400 bucks, its a fantastic bargain at this time.

The Good

The Navman is a handy device. I owned a Palm V before this and a PocketPC device is just better, in my opinion. The color screen is great. The integration with Windows is great. I really like the device.

The Bad

The SmartST map and nav software is close but still sucks. I live in Alabama and none of the city names are right. I live in Huntsville but the SmartST app says I live in Hueytown. The maps are accurate at the street level but most of the city names are wrong. The routing view is pretty cool especially if you are map challenged. It gives a view from the perspective of the car instead of a birdseye view. Programming the route is a pain. The address lookup is annoying to use. The main application that runs on the laptop/desktop computer will only load maps. It sure would be nice to construct routes on the big computer and download them to the PocketPC.

All in all I think the Navman is a good value. Just be prepared to spend a little extra and get a big SD memory card and some new software, maybe Delorme Mapping Street Atlas 2005 for Handhelds.

Software Update

I purchased Microsoft Streets and Trips 2005 and it works nicely with the Navman. No GPS problems. The S&T maps are superior to the SmartST maps. HOWEVER, the SmartST maps are much smaller. The entire state of Alabama can be loaded onto the Navman using the SmartST application but only the city of Huntsville can be loaded (as a single map) using Pocket Streets and Trips. So if you are planning a long trip on Streets and Trips, be prepared to load a bunch of small maps. I guess I will use SmartST for city to city navigations and the Microsoft products once I get there.

Fun started from setting up desktop soft and applying patch.

But it is nothing comparing to fun of day to day use.

I have used Garmin aviation GPSes and Garmin iQue for more than a year before got this PiN thing (which i thought was cool since it had more built-in memory, faster CPU, runs pocket windows, and had no bad reviews at the time).

Ok, next day, my first trip from NJ to Long Island, I hit Rt.95, crossing GW bridge and screen goes gray saying no map data... I exit software, start it again, hit recent trips, wait for 5 minutes until it recalls the ONLY trip in memory and hey, it's working but i missed the exit and have to make a u-turn (with 20 min of traffic).

Next day, i still have lots of faith in this PiN in a butt, and rely on it for trip to Briarcliffs, NY for meeting. Passing this dead spot on Rt.95 again, restart, it's ok, maybe there is en update i can get later... I am almost there, driving on some road, then my PiN happily reports "DESTINATION!!!". You should see this destination, one line road and trees around... Destination was actually close, only about mile away, thanks to local police officer.

Another story when i was testing my patience. Was driving home and suddenly had suggested by PiN to take immediate exit right. It puts me on same highway in opposite direction, then suggests a u-turn in few miles. Leads me to same spot where i was fooled first time and suggests immediate exit right... I knew it's in the mood for a long joke, but i really wasn't, and actually wanted to get home ASAP, so since i knew the direction relatively well simply turned the damn thing off.

Actually once it was trying to save my life. In MA with few fellow colleagues we were looking for place to eat. I got my magic PiN and found a seafood place in Westboro using point's of interest feature. Cool! But i know my PiN well enough to sit and relax, so I am lookin around carefully while we are driving and searching for the place. Here it is, and right after i see restaurant sign PiN suggests continue 2 miles and something. We laugh, pull off the road. And only 2 hours later a realized that it was actually saving us from this food trying to drive us away...

Anyways. Now my windshield holder is broken and i can't find place to order it. That's actually what brought me here on Amazon... Remember, i was hoping to get update for map soft? Only $99 to get SmartST v3... Nah, what i need is update to another GPS...

As of now! I am using my wife's Garmin iQue every time it's critical to get to places ontime. I use mappoint for all other cases. I don't even know if i really need a windshield holder at this point, since i don't even remember where my charger is... And I will never spend more than $20 on any NAVMAN product in my life.

Tripp Lite B116-002A 2-Port DVI Single Link Video Audio Splitter/Booster

This splitter will work for DVI-D signals. BUT BEWARE: Under no circumstances will it split or use an ANALOG DVI SIGNAL. More importantly to the average user, this means:

You CAN NOT use a DVI-VGA adapter on the output side of this box. There is no output analog signal to adapt. EVEN if you use a DVI-I (Digital & Analog) Cable as your input, the box strips out the analog and only passes the digital signal.

I found this out the hard way and had to return it. It looked like a great box that would reliably do what it does, but if you need to send a signal to something analog, (like a projector with a VGA port) This CAN'T do it.

TrippLite Tech Support basically confirms all I've written.

In summary, if you want to split a DIGITAL DVI (DVI-D) signal, great box and a good price. If you need to output to an analog port, DO NOT BUY.

We've had a tough splitting problem for months in a setup we're building. Our setup has two dual display systems (4 monitors in all) one pair of standard 24" Viewsonic LCDs and another pair of proprietary OLED microdisplays that are supposed to mirror the 24" LCD screens. Initially, we used cheap, unpowered splitters that introduced lots of noise. Next, we tried powered splitters such as the Gefen 142DL. This improved our noise somewhat but still introduced artifacts (even after tuning).

Enter the Tripp-Lite. It worked flawlessly in our setup giving us a strong signal to all four monitors that we couldn't perturb not matter how hard we tried. It doesn't surprise me that they claim you can cascade three of these units. I haven't seen any splitter that puts out this clean and powerful of a signal. The only downside to this splitter is that it doesn't include EDID. Therefore, we had to insert an EDID unit between the computer and this splitter. Even with that unit and another 6ft DVI cable, there still isn't any noise on either display after splitting.

Pros: As a splitter, this device is excellent for digital signals (not analog)

It's less than half the cost of other powered splitters that, in our experience, didn't work as well.

Cons: No EDID

No Analog signal

It does what it says up to a point. The unit cannot handle 1080p60 effectively and artifacts the screen. Everything will exhibit a subtle jitter and the screen will be unclear and lose some of its color definition. At 720p60 (59.94hz) the signal splitting works with no issue.

As the previous reviewer noted, there is (obviously) no analog support. This will not work with a VGA converter and will not pass DVI-A signals; however, that's no excuse for rating it negatively.

My need was to add my 46" LCD TV to my Windows desktop PC in addition to my digital flat panel monitor so I could display PC-based photos, videos, and video streaming from my PC to the TV. For videos and photos, I had the option of copying to a USB drive and plugging it into the TV, but there were several additional steps involved, and slide shows were very slow on the TV. There were also issues of file format compatibility with the TV that didn't exist on the PC.

So, I bought the Cables Unlimited DVI-D Splitter cable. Unfortunately, it only worked when the TV source was set to the DVI-to-HDMI cable coming from the splitter cable attached to the PC. When I changed the source back to TV programming or Blu-Ray--or turned off the TV--the PC monitor went dark.

Scrounging around and seeing others suggestions, I bought a powered splitter from Amazon, the Tripp Lite B116-002A 2-Port DVI Single Link Video Audio Splitter/Booster, along with StarTech.com DVIDDMM3 3-Feet DVI-D Dual Link Cable M/M to connect the PC DVI video connector to the Tripp Lite splitter's DVI input. Then I connected the monitor's and TV's cables to the splitter's two DVI outputs. At first, huge disappointment when it didn't work. Same problems as with the Cables Unlimited splitter cable.

Then, following another reviewer's advice who reviewed the splitter cable (which, by the way, worked for him)...

I changed the video driver directed to the TV that was created in Device Manager when only the TV was connected directly to the PC, to "Digital Flat Panel (1280x1024 60Hz)," the same resolution as the PC monitor, which I believe is essential (but did not work with the splitter cable), and VOILA!! TV on/off, change TV source to some other input, all combinations and permutations work perfectly. PC monitor display is intact, and changing the source on the TV to the PC display (on my set, DVI/HDMI2), gives me a perfect split image between the PC and TV.

Exercise Variable Resistance Band 5-level Latex Tubes - Set

Convenient little package of bands. They arrive just like the picture shows, and are pretty good quality. I haven't used the heaviest one, but the other 4 seem to be in very good working order and at no risk to snap. The bands are pretty good quality (though my experience is admittedly limited) and the attachments seem to hold up well. I'm really picky when it comes to things like carrying cases for my electronics. I looked everywhere for something that had what I wanted in a carrying case, and this is it! I'm so happy with this purchase!

The case is nicely padded, and my netbook fits securely inside with the velcro strap. There's also a padded divider inside that you can adjust however you want (I use it to prevent side-to-side motion, and this also leaves a small section for the power cord to fit in nicely). There are several smaller pockets on the inside, and they're perfect for thinner items like DVDs, small usb adapters, or a few memory sticks. I also have an external DVD/CD drive (since netbooks don't have these drives), and if I don't overfill the inner pockets I can even fit the drive inside the case (in a bubble-wrap envelope), resting on top of the netbook.

I was having so much trouble finding a netbook case with a large outer pocket and a sturdy (detachable) shoulder strap, and this one has both! The outer pocket closes securely with the velcro tabs, so I'm not worried about things falling out. The outer pocket is good for storing the shoulder strap when not in use, and it's roomy enough even for a decent sized book. So far the zippers and shoulder strap (which is adjustable and padded!) are holding up very well. I also like that this case is available in several colors other than black, so it's easier to spot when you're in a room full of people using black carrying cases.

On a side note, I would like to thank the Seller for providing so many good images of the product so I could make a well-informed purchase. And the written description is very accurate with a good detailed description. (Unfortunately, too many sellers on Amazon provide inaccurate or incomplete information). The pictures look exactly like the item I received!

Received this case about three weeks ago now. This case is very firm and protects the tablet very well. The only reason to add a screen protector to the tablet would be to prevent scratching while in use. If you are careful with the screen then a protector may not be necessary as when the case is closed it protects very well. You may use the part holding the tablet without the outer cover if you wish, in addition to the portrait and landscape positions. There are three upright positions.

The opening for the rear camera lens is cut large enough to not cause any problems. The front one is smaller and could be a problem. I don't use the front camera so can't say for sure.

The only negative comment is the fit of the case by the "on/off" switch and the volume switch. Because these controls are on the back slope of the tablet and the case comes up further than the height of the tablet, it is hard for big fingers to hit these switches.

In doing this review, I have to say, I must have spent several weeks looking for the perfect case to hold my new Asus Prime TF700. Many were all the same, as in looks, and color(black), which is not too exciting, for a women to carry her pad around in. I spent the last couple of years with a black case for my Barnes and Noble Nook, and was ready for a change. I ordered an advance order, and it actually came a few days early. The quality is flawless, and there are cut out areas for all the ports, (charging, headphones, etc.)The only small suggestion I could add, is that when charging, you need to leave the case folded open, as the charging cord goes in at a awkward side of the tablet. Not too big of an issue. I especially love how the actual sleeve it is housed in, can be removed(velcro), and put in different viewing angles, according to how you like the screen, either vertical or horizontal.The rooCASE, all in all, has exceeded my expectations, and I am MORE than happy with the looks and functionality of the product. I bought this case based on the flexibility of the different positions your tablet can sit in, and for the price I am happy with it and would recommend it. The black leather looks and feels nice and does protect my tablet pretty well. My biggest issue with this case is when you have the tablet in the case with the cover open or closed, there is no access for the charging cable! Being this case has two parts, one that holds the tablet and the second is the Velcro attached foldable cover, with the foldable cover not attached or flipped open you can plug it in. The other option is to spin the tablet around, essentially placing the tablet in the foldable cover backwards, this allows access for that port however blocks the back camera. So if you don't plan on using the back facing camera this is actually a non issue, if you do though its something to consider. My other small issue is that sometime when you are using the case to prop up the tablet, the bottom of the tablet where it touches the foldable cover sometimes slips and the tablet falls flat. Again not a big deal and if you take your time and make sure the tablet is lined up with the ridge perfectly it shouldn't go anywhere. Aside from the two for mentioned issues the case works exactly as its advertised. Its also sleeker than many of the cases I found in the big box stores and seems to fit better as well. The cutouts for the camera lenses (Both front and back) also were positioned well just for this product. I like the product and have no buyers remorse again mostly because the other ones I found didn't have features I wanted or felt cheap.

PalmOne IIIx Handheld

The big questions these days is what organizer to get. I'll assume you are reading these reviews because you already know that the Palm OS beats CE any day. So the choice is a Palm Vx, a Palm V, a IIIx or a Visor. I can't recommend the Visor right now due to the horrible problems people are having with Handspring...maybe in another year, but not now.

The new Vx is a good choice, lots of memory and the other advantages of the Palm V like a better screen, and rechargeable battery. But the darn thing is still overpriced. If money is no problem though, I'd probably go with the Vx.

The V is good too, but only 2 meg of memory...yuck! Now, 2 meg of memory is going to be enough for a lot of people. If all you want to do is the basic appointment/phone book/to-do stuff, 2 meg is more than you'll ever need. But that's it...you're stuck with 2 meg and can't upgrade (easily). If you are interested in using your Palm to do internet stuff, grab webpages with AvantGo, play games, read books, etc. you're going to find yourself a bit squeezed by 2 meg. You can still do quite a bit, but it's a bit more work to manage your space.

Now, for less money you can get the IIIx. You'll have twice as much memory, and the ability to upgrade. I personally put on the TRG xtra xtra pro board which gave me 4 meg more of RAM and 2 meg more Flash...it's like having an 11 meg Palm! Really great. Of course, I bought this before the Palm Vx came out, today it's not quite as good a deal to do.

One other reason I like the Palm IIIx is that I have a lot of add-ons that only work with it...the Palm Navigator (compass), the Weatherguide, Landware's GoVox voice recorder, etc. I don't believe these will fit a Palm V. Of course, it goes both ways....Palm's new 33.6 modem and the new wireless Omnisky modem only fit the Palm V.

I do believe the Palm V has a better screen, it doesn't seem to have the streaks that a lot of the Palm IIIx's have. And there's no doubt it has a certain "coolness" factor. Most of my friends at work went with the Palm V. But they are fairly impressed with the space and the accessories I have for my Palm IIIx.

If you don't want to spend all that money on the slimmer, sleeker Palm V, and you know you don't want a WinCE device, then the IIIx is the way to go.

The IIIx has the same screen technology and processor as the IIIe, but twice as much memory. Some users have reported "streaking" problems on the screen. I have not experienced that. In most cases, my screen is very clear and readable.

However, Palm recently introduced the "reverse backlighting" feature that inverts the color when you turn it on. It's great when you're sitting in very dark conditions, but in dimly lit rooms or during twilight outside, it can be quite difficult to read the screen because of the reverse backlighting. I learned, though, that there is a simple Graffiti shortcut to make the backlight "normal". Even with the normal backlighting, I had trouble reading the screen in twilight conditions.

Another feature of the IIIx that the IIIe lacks is an upgradeable operating system. This was the deciding factor for me when I chose the IIIx over the IIIe. The current PalmOS is 3.3, but the IIIe was shipping with 3.1 when I bought the unit for a friend for Christmas. The IIIx also had 3.1, but I immediately upgraded it to 3.3. There is no way to do that on the IIIe.

You may ask, Why would I need OS 3.3 instead of 3.1? Here's one reason: HotSyncing via infrared. OS 3.1 can't do it. If you're a laptop user and don't feel like carrying your HotSync cradle everywhere, or springing the extra money for a USB cable, then IR is a great feature. It's slower than the cradle, but way more convenient.

The IIIx also has an internal expansion slot that the IIIe lacks. Supposedly, you can open up your IIIx and plug devices like pager cards, etc., into it, but I don't think many of these devices exist right now. It wasn't a deciding factor for me.

Many people (including myself) have wondered: Why get a Palm IIIx instead of a Handspring Visor Deluxe? Here's is my reason, that I don't see many people mentioning: like the IIIe, the OS in the current Handsprings CANNOT be upgraded. That means if it ships with OS3.1, you are stuck with it.

If upgrading your OS is important to you, you should not get a current model of the Visor. (Perhaps in the future, their models will be upgradeable.)

The other reason I chose the IIIx over the Handspring was that Handspring was experiencing 6 week delays. I know that another reviewer has said he got his in 2.5 weeks, but if Handspring's own website is saying "It's going to be 6 weeks," then you pretty much have to take it at face value. I just checked their site as I write this, and it says their wait is down to four weeks. If you can wait that long and don't need an upgradeable version, then I would take a hard look at the Visor. It has a lot of attractive features. Remember that Visors ship with a USB cradle. If you don't have USB support on your computer, you'll have to purchase a serial cradle for (I think) $10.

As far as cost goes on the IIIx, shop around a little if you're cost-conscious.

To sum up, get the IIIx if:

(a) You can't afford/don't need the slimness of the V or Vx (b) Need the extra memory compared to the V or IIIe (c) Need the upgradeable OS or IR HotSync (d) Can't wait the possible 4 weeks for the Visor.

I bought by Palm IIIx on a whim. I figured, "Well, everyone else seems to think they're great." They were right. The Palm IIIx is fantastic. For me, the best features are its address book and the "To Do List." Gone are the little scraps of paper I used to use to keep all my lists of stuff to do. I've been completely neglecting my paper address book ever since I got the IIIx. Between its small size, its ease of use, and its versatility, this Palm is a winner all around. BTW, I highly recommend the O'Reilly PalmPilot guide to go with it. Like all O'Reilly books, this one cuts right to the chase. It makes the IIIx even easier to use.

I have wanted a Palm Pilot since they came out and being a poorcollege student, I wanted to make sure that I got the best dealpossible. I have had my Palm IIIx for about a month and I can say that I am quite pleased with it. There are a few flaws, but I will present the pros and cons of purchasing a Palm IIIx. Pros: -There is an abundance of software out there and several sites. More software is coming out daily and some of my favs are jot, Traffic, Four.zero, and flash, among others. -You will get a lot of attention, this is a great toy and people are interested in it. -an excellent way to get organized, much more fun than a pad a paper and plus, there are alarms to remind you of important dates. -The handwriting recognition is superb. I once owned a Davinci which has horrible recognition. I would also suggest Jot, which is a program with a more advanced handwriting recognition system. -Customer support is ok, I'm not blown away by it but I can understand because there are a lot of palm users out there. -The price. In my opinion, it is the best value out there.

Cons: -yes, you have heard it everywhere. The backlight is pretty weird. But it's not terrible, it does the job -I have had mine crash twice in a month, but luckily only one time did I lose data. There is a "soft" reset which comes in handy -Everyone else says the hotsych is great, but I have had problems with it. I cannot get it to work on my computer, but that may be the exception. -no color display, but hey, I can live without it because it costs hundreds of dollars more.

Overall, great product. It's fun and helps me to be more organized. Buy it!

I have to say that I've grown very dependent on my IIIx. I'd give it a score of 5 except for the streaking problem. Mine didn't do this right away. It started hapening about 6 months after I began to use it. Sometimes its there sometimes it isn't. When its there, the streaking (looks like water was spilled on a sheet of ink writing) can make the screen totally unreadable. Five minutes later, all can be fine. PDA need to be dependable. Mine isn't always. Before I started reading other reviews, I thought mine was just broken. I was considering buying another but not if by luck, I get another "streaker". Even though I like the IIIx, its reasonably priced (though still expensive), has great software options, I'd be cautious about buying another one. Probably wouldn't go with the IIIx if I had known about the streaking problem in advance.

The case was a bit sticky (as to be expected from a rubberized phone case) but it ended up sticking in my pocket. If I removed it, it would take other things with it (i.e., keys, pocket knife). I would call "pocket cleaning" an undocumented feature, rather than a bug.

For the price its a good case but the paint chips a little and its a little sensitive youll have fun trying to take it off the phone bending and chipping away at its open edges. Above all I like it and im sure it'll serve its purpose.
