I think this is an ok product. I wasn't satisfied with the quality. I think it could be better. Also the range that the holder can extend is pretty poor. I have an AOC 8" tablet and a Skypad 7" tablet. It didn't fit any of theme. Even though those models are not mentioned as compatible in the description, since it says it is compatible with many more tablets not maentioned betweene 7" and 10" I thought it would at least fit oune of theme.Idea: If you can make the range wider then it would probably get 4 star review.

JAVOedge Austin Flip Case for Barnes & Noble Nook Simple Touch (Purple)
This product is very useful. It protects the Nook when not in use, by covering the glass front. While reading the Nook while lying down, the case with the extra foldout leg, can stand up in a comfortable way so that one does not have to hold the Nook while reading. Incidentally, I did not find this cover among the products exhibited by Barnes and Noble.
I looked at a lot of cases and settled on the JAVOedge Austin flip case. Out of the box, I will say that I was a little concerned with how bulky the case felt. Part of this is just the nature of adding any case to such a small ereader, and part of it is because the extra kick-stand on the back adds a little more thickness than usual. For the first few days while I got used to it I told myself I would just use the case when taking it outside, and would slip the Nook out and use it without the case around the house. It has been a few weeks now and I have yet to take the Nook back out.
I love the softness of the fabric on this case it feels nice in your hand and seems to be pretty high quality for the price. The Nook definitely feels secure and protected, but it is still easy to access all of the buttons and ports as-needed. And the kick stand on the back, while initially bulky, has become one of my favorite features. It's really easy to set this case upright on a table or on your chest if you're lying in bed so you don't have to hold it non-stop while reading. A first world problem, maybe, but if you read a lot and don't mind the extra bulk it adds to the case, it's worth it.
Would give this 4.5 stars if I could.

I'm doing this review because the product keeps popping up on my "review your other purchases" list, but mostly because I just upgraded from my original Simple Touch to the Glowlight model 2 days ago and was very happy that the cover fit the new reader.I have used this cover for 15 months and read over 230 borrowed ebooks with it. I have one small rub/scratch on the front surface in all that use (the sort of denim-look lines have rubbed off on that spot). I have to admit the majority of the time it is home use and only been put into my purse a dozen times. It adds bulk and weight to the Nook but I bought it for the padding protection. I am particularly looking for protection on my new Glow because I've heard stories about scratching on the light screen being an issue. I like the flip case with kickstand because I can set it on a table or stand as I read, very nice to avoid aggravating carpal tunnel and arthritis pain.
I also have an older leather JavaEdge flip cover for my Kindle. Strangely I scratched the cover in the same place and it shows in the dye of the leather, but still very sturdy and protective.
These ereaders are an investment to me and I try to get the best price possible on them. I don't like how the sellers (Amazon, B&N, Staples, Best Buy) "push" the expensive recommended covers. I did an extensive search for the Kindle cover prior to buying the device in order to not overspend what I was saving on the device. That is how I found the leather JavaEdge for the Kindle and I went back to it when I bought the NST. [I'll avoid the discussion of the various searches needed to find product accessories.]

I bought this for my husband's niece and when it came in it was just as I anticipated. Let's face it for the price, you're not getting superb materials and hand crafting. His niece is 8 and it's perfect for her. It looks like it'll hold up for a good while, even for an 8 year old and it has a stand in the back so you can prop it up to read. i got this case about a week ago and have been using it on my itouch 3g and i cant get over how great it feels. it has a nice smooth flat black finish that feels great though if you have greasy fingers like from pizza it leaves a shiny mark on it but it whipes off with ease though u should have clean hands when using your ipod anyways. overall this is one of the best cases ive used and for the price its way worth it and the shipping was great too it came nicely wrapped and took like less than 4 days to get to my house.
NEC Mobile Pro 900
I really wanted a more powerful Jornada 720 which is sort of the claim that NEC puts on this product. They keyboard is pretty good and some parts of the design like the placement of the CF slot and the PC Card are perfect. However, this is not exactly a small form factor like the Jornada it is about the size of a Fujitsu P1120 or a Avertec P. Weight wise it is about .5lb from the the P1120 and 2lbs from the Avertec. A good part is that it does have the ability to instantly turn on but the screen is terrible. In fact probably the worst screen of any PDA / Laptop I have seen. It is all washed out. I wanted this so that I could throw it in a Gym bag and if needed instantly turn it on and trade stocks through a TMobile Aircard. I found that the syncing with ActiveSync 3.7 was terrible, sometimes it would work other times it would fail on WinNT2000K and with XP Pro it was a nightmare. Part of the NEC 900 that is rotten is the OS. THe HPC 2000 is just plain buggy. The AirCard software would die while it works on a PDA and over 6 laptops and tablets. Pros:

Bottom line for the price it isn't too bad if you want something light to type on or run excel spreadsheets that will last 8 hours. They keyboard is awesome so if you have large fingers and need an ultra portable this is ok if you can get around the screen.
People need to actually give HPC devices an honest chance, and with the right expectations. They will not be disappointed!with good features for an IT department. Your mileage may vary, but it is not really suitable for consumer use. Yes, the keyboard is surpisingly good, the screen sharp, the time to load screaming fast, and it has a good suite of features. On the other hand, for this very experienced user, it took an inordinate amount of time to get it to synchronize with the desktop or connect to AT&T Worldnet. Once connected, however, I couldn't get the unit to resolve domain names (i.e., I couldn't actually connect to the world wide web). The straw, however, was that two programs would not terminate, and NEC support confirmed that my only alternative was to remove the batteries and do a hard reset. It's a shame, and my experience may not be typical, but you're warned--don't try this at home.

I bought a used NEC Mobile Pro 900 to use as a digital typewriter to take with me to coffeehouses while I work on my novel with my writing group. While it can access the wifi in the coffeehouse with a gold orinoco card, I find that the wifi is too slow for anything but the most basic use. Finding items that are compatible with the antique software and hardware has been a challenge. It will only accept a CF card up to 8 gigs. I use a transcend 512meg CF I card with it and find that it works the best for transferring my text in and out of the word processor to my desktop. I also have a 1 gig CF card that I use to flash it with software. Mainly, I use the software that came with it, a thesaurus and a word count program that I found for free on the internet.However, despite the negatives of this old machine, it has proven to be a good writing instrument. It is instant on/off, is smaller than most netbooks on the market and has a rugged construction. While the keyboard is not full sized, it is large enough to type on comfortably. The battery life is much better than modern netbooks, I can get a good eight hours on a fully charged battery. The touch screen and stylus took a little getting used to as compared to a mouse, but I find that after a while it was just as easy to use. I like the infra-red transfer feature. I also own an alphasmart and the infra-red works between the two. I can also hook up the alphasmart via USB connection and the NEC will recognize it as a keyboard.
If you buy a NEC Mobile Pro 900, you need to be aware of the compatibility issues, but otherwise it is a nice little machine and I can recommend it as an inexpensive distraction free writing device.

This unit runs Windows CE operating system by Microsoft. Great built-in apps (Office, Excel, Access, Power Point, etc.). The keyboard is a bit cramped for speed typing.This is my least favorite PDA device (I also have the IBM-Z50, HP Jornada 680 and 728 models, Casio E-125). The NEC 900 was built mainly to be used in industrial settings. The screen is dull and somewhat washed-out.
I only take this unit with me to job-sites in high-crime areas, so if I lose it, I won't care that much!
Still ... It's better than a PDA with no keyboard. The screen is OK when indoors. There is a lot of Windows CE software out there (on the Internet) for free. Good for the kiddies doing their homework on the run.
Better units are the Jornada 680,728 series light, small and good screen,
and the IBM Z50 its almost full-size keyboard and great IBM support.

I just love the open concept of this case. Love the ez grip handle never have to worry about dropping but I would have given it a 5 star if it had some type of clear cover that snaps tight over the screen. That would make this the BEST case out there. I would buy one in every color and never have to worry about what adventure I was going on because my screen would be covered. The best thing about the open concept is being able to take quick photos!!!
Sony Clie PEG-NX70V (Silver) Handheld
OK, here's the lowdown on the brand-new NX-70V : Screen as good as the NR series. Great readability, both indoors and outdoors.
Palm OS 5 haven't noticed much different from OS4 yet.
Built in apps Sony has made all of the built-in apps HiRes (320X480) for this unit, which is a big improvement from the NR series. The NX series also comes with a registered version of Documents To Go (standard edition), so right off the Clie installation CD, it is possible to sync and edit Word and Excel files right on the unit. Very nice.
Camera MUCH better than the NR70V. Still won't replace your standalone camera, but is very nice to be able to take halfway decent (640X480) shots with a PDA. Doesn't perform well in low-light situations.
Data Entry I can't imagine using the tiny keyboard for almost anything good thing graffiti is so good. On both the NX and NR series, the graffiti area is virtual (part of the actual screen), and they've made it so that it shows the ink as you draw the characters. Very nice.
Voice Recorder a nice little extra for meetings, etc.
Compatibility with older Palm OS programs better than I expected. I had a few that didn't run, but I would say 90% of the ones I was using do, with the exception of hack-type programs. Also, many developers have released, or are hard at work on OS5 compatible versions.
Battery life this is the only downside I've experienced so far. It's about as good as the NR series, as far as I can tell. Just as a test, I didn't charge it for a few days. I got 4 days worth of normal use (probably 1 1/2 to 2 hrs a day on average) out of it before it needed a charge. I might have been able to eke another day out of it, but I didn't want to take any chances.
Other Sony seems to have fixed the Memory Stick slot problem with the NX. I was experiencing drop-outs with my NR70, but have yet to have one with the NX. Also, speed launching apps, saving pics, etc. to the memory stick seems to be faster than the NR.
Haven't tried WiFi yet (my laptop has built-in wifi, so I haven't decided yet if I need it for an extra $150 in my PDA, too). I've also heard rumors that the CF slot will work with CF memory cards, if and when the memory card manufacturers write appropriate drivers. Don't know if this is so, but it would be very cool.
Personally, I love the clamshell design. Most of the time I use it in tablet mode, but being able to close it up is very nice, and saves the need for a case (at least as far as protecting the screen when not in use goes). It also has a very big WOW factor when you take it out and flip the screen around.
All in all, I have to give this unit a 5. I've owned PDAs from just about every generation of Palm (Pilot 5000, PalmPilot Pro, Palm III, Palm V, Visor Prism, Clie N760, Clie NR70, and now the NX), and this is unquestionably the best of the lot.
Cons: Limited battery life, high cost, you should buy more memory to go with it, Not too much OS5 software available... yet, price, Clie Viewer, Internet, Sony's obsession with copyright protection, low memory.
Summary: As you can see this product comes basically fully loaded. Yet, in my opinion the best feature is the built in keyboard. On previous PDA's to enter in information you either had to write in grafitti(which is the most annoying thing in world) or purchase an external keyboard, which is really expensive. Entering information into my Sony CLIE PEG-NX70V is so easy now, that I feel as if I have a computer right in the palm of my hand. The HOT-SYNC function on this product is the fastest and most reliable syncing that I have ever worked with. Because of the state of the art high resolution TFT screen with built in back-light, you can even look at your Sony CLIE PEG-NX70V in complete darkness or in extremely bright sunlight. There is no discoloration while using it while being outdoors. I don't suggest leaving it in the hot sun for long periods of time, though, because it will ruin the screen. I have not personally used the internet feature on my device, however, I have heard that it is the best wireless connection for any PDA. This PDA is so small that I can comfortably keep it in my pocket without any restriction in movement. All in all, I say that this product is miles ahead of any other product of its type!

I received the NX-70V for Christmas and I think it's an amazing device. Needing my PDA for medical school, I could have probably survived with a "bare bones" Sony Clie, but in the end I'm glad my parents sprung for the newest.First off, let me just say that the graphics are really incredible. I had seen other people with PDA's that had the lime green colored screens and knew I wanted a color screen. But I've seen other PDA's with color screens that aren't backlit and let me just say the difference between those and the backlit color screen on the Clie's is the difference between night and day.
The camera takes some surprisingly good pictures when the Clie is absolutely still. Even the slightest movement makes the picture a bit blurry, which makes for quite a challenge considering that pushing the "Capture" button requires a slight movement. But with the Clie sitting on a counter or using the timer to take pictures, I've gotten some good quality pics. And the movies are entertaining and help capture the "feel" of a past moment, but don't expect to relive it in too much detail :-).
The battery life is amazing. I took my Clie with me on vacation for MLK weekend and brought the charger along, but I never even needed to use it. That may not seem too impressive, but when considering that I used it to take multiple pictures, a couple movies, and listened to mp3's for part of the flights to and from North Carolina, it was hard to believe I still had some battery power left to spare.
As others have said, don't even believe for a second you can use this product to its full potential without a Memory Stick. But spring for the cheaper one if you can. I bought the SanDisk one and it holds mp3's, movies, pictures, and everything else the Clie put on it. (And this was despite the fact that the guy at CompUSA told me I was wasting my time buying the SanDisk because he GUARANTEED me I would need a special MagicGate MemoryStick. Shows how much they know.)
In summation, if you need a PDA, want lots of bells and whistles, and have extra cash to spend, I say spring for the NX-70V.

Sony is really on top of the PalmOS game. I replaced my Palm M515 with a Sony NX70V this weekend, and was quite impressed. The hi-res+ screen is incredible! I was able to download a movie trailer for Spiderman in widescreen format and watch it. I'm still tinkering with all the bells and whistles, but I was able to take still photos and video clips just minutes after I unwrapped it. The camera's resolution isn't the best, but I bought a PDA, not a digital camera. Since I keep my PDA handy most of the time, it's nice to know I can snap a picture or get a quick video clip in a hurry.The software I normally use doesn't begin to challenge the 200MHz processor, but some of the video apps may. I was very happy to see the difference the screen made with DocumentsToGo and Mapopolis. Much more useable, more readable. In SheetToGo, I can see more than 3 or 4 columns at a time!
The NX70 seems to access data from my 128MB memory stick faster than my old Palm M515 could read from an SD card. The Clie launcher takes a bit of getting used to, but it has its advantages, with quick buttons for your 8 favorite apps.
I looked briefly at the Tungsten T, which was almost as small as my M515. I'm glad I chose the Sony instead, as the virtual grafitti and virtual keyboard are much more practical to use, and that area can be used for the hi-res+ (320x480) video images. I don't have a use for the Tungsten's built in BlueTooth capability. The Sony's larger screen and built-in keyboard tipped the scales for me. I actually bought the NX60, w/o the built-in video camera, but I didn't even get out of the store before my wife convinced me (she didn't have to try very hard) that the built-in camera was worth the extra $$$ .
All in all, I am VERY VERY pleased with the Sony PEG-NX70V. I've spent the last few days trying to find new software to take advantage of its next generation of capabilities.

The Clie NX70 is a bigger (320x480), brighter palm-OS based PDA with a lot more -exactly what you'd expect from a Sony. Navigation among applications can be done with the traditional touch interface, pull downs, buttons directly to core functions or with the selector wheel.Data input is done through graffiti or the built-in keyboard. I found the keyboard somewhat useful for quick jobs, especially while I've been learning the weirder letters in "graffiti," but any time I had to do upper case, punctuation or numbers, it's a pain because there are odd key combinations or locations.
The audio player works well, but you really need additional memory, otherwise you're limited to one mp3. Memory expansion is through Sony's memory stick format, which is unfortunately limited to 128Mb (compared compact flash, which can go higher). There is an additional compact flash slot, but it only supports Sony's network card.
The camera is a novelty and, in my opinion, not worth the additional 100 bucks over the NX60 model. Pictures max out at 640x400 and require perfect lighting. Any movement and you get blur.
The remote control is truly cool and supports Sony and select non-Sony TVs, stereos, DVD players and VCRs. It was really easy to set this up to control my hodge-podge entertainment center with a 12-year old RCA TV and a 8-year old Magnavox VCR.
The biggest weakness is in the PC software supplied. The installation program is a demo sheild front-end, and presents you with over two dozen things you can install on the CLIE or your PC. It's really confusing and requires administrative priveleges on your Windows box -this presents some difficulty in an environment where my IT department has things locked down.
Installation of the core Palm desktop on Windows XP directed me to Sony's site for an unspecific patch that I never could find. (Indeed, finding software updates was at least a half dozen clicks away.)
After the Palm desktop was installed, I was faced with a laundry list of additional options, with no guide as to what was important. For example, a really important one: Windows XP also needed the memory stick driver operating so it would recognize the stick as removable storage when the Clie was connected. On the other hand, there was also a lot of clutter like "8 ways to relieve stress."

Believe me my phone has been dropped hundreds of time on hard surfaces but this case has saved it every time. i do not have to remove it from cover to charge it, take picture or answer calls at all.

This product was shipped within 3 days of ordering it, was beautiful how quickly it cameUnlike the other reviews that this product has received, I actually got the right product the first time around. The outline and the hole for the camera and button are correct and practically exact.
Now unlike other films/screen protectors, you will only receive ONE film, so your margin of error is going to be smaller than getting a 2 or 3 pack. Application is not as easy as just setting it on the screen as close to target as possible, but is done using a liquid solution that is provided by skinomi, that you apply to your fingers and to the screen. This allows for less than perfect application with adjustment, but really you should try setting it down as perfectly as possible anyways.
The kicker is of course the fact that once you've positioned it perfectly, you actually have to wait anywhere between 12-24 hrs so that the liquid dries off. That's right, up to 24 hrs without so much as turning on that iPod of yours. Now for the impatient of us, this is some sick waiting period.
Now I picked mine up after 18 hrs, and it looked as if there was never as liquid at all. Surprised, I turned it on, and there wasn't that much of a perceptible difference in how the screen/images looked. The screen felt smooth, and didn't dirty as easily. The best part? I intentionally scratched the screen. nails and light key passes. It appears at least for the key passes, but heals pretty quickly.
Using it for the past 2 days, I don't see anything wrong with it, for those who are hard on their electronics, this is probably worth the price and application procedure, if not a bargain. As to those that want a fast screen protector that can be used right after application, with the harshest thing their screens ever suffer from is your greasy fingers, best to look for another one.

The quality is really high, I even scratched it with my fingernail and it actually disappeared later on! It is really clear after the wait-period and it is smooth to the touch!*I only gave this four stars in the "ease of application" section because I've yet to find a screen saver that's easy to apply. However...this is easier than most. The spray makes it easy to get the screen saver in the right position because you can slip it around till you get it right. I don't have any bubbles because of this, and no lint particles stuck underneath either.
As for durability, it's great. I got a new iPod Touch mid-December and after only three days the internal speaker blew. I had already applied the screen saver, but decided to pull it off to see if I could reuse it. It looked a little funky and misshapen, but I washed it clean with soap & water. Once I exchanged my broken iPod Touch for a new one I reapplied the screen saver and it worked just fine. I've had it for almost a month now and it's not lifting up the screen looks great. Highly recommend.This screen protector may have a few more steps for installation and require a bit of patience for the curing process, but it is well worth it. The application process was easy enough; just spray your fingers and the protector with the included solution, position on the device, squeegee the excess solution away, and wait a few hours before using. Any microbubbles or orange peel texture diminishes over a few days. The cutout for the home button was slightly too large in diameter, but alignment for it and the front facing camera is spot on. The size of the protector is perfect and shouldn't get in the way of cases for the iPod. I'm using a Sonix Snap case, and replaced the poor screen protector that came wih that case with the Skinomi protector, and I couldnt be any happier with the overall protection (and aesthetics) of my iPod touch.This is a really clear screen protector. I never realized how bad my old screen protector was until I put this one on.

There are a lot of things to like about this case, but a few glitches too.The material is sturdy and everything seems well stitched, and there is minimal bulk and weight but it still has room to stow a few things -power cord/cube (one piece for this model laptop), Passport drive and cable, thumb drive and the like. The main zipper has a slight bead of fabric under it so it probably won't wear the finish on the laptop's corners very fast.
As it happens, the case is a nice snug fit for my new ASUS 202 11.6 (screen size) laptop, so I don't worry too much about the laptop dropping out if I forget I didn't zip it up all the way. There's no pocket or strap to help secure it, though -this could be an issue for a slightly smaller computer. I'm not sure I'd be happy with it for a 10" screen laptop, regardless of what some descriptions say.
Some of the things I thought were silly I like -the way the zipper pulls have covers to match the case and the padded handles, for instance. Red's not my color much but it's such a pure pretty red I even like that, and it's going to be easy to spot when I forget where I left the laptop!
The pouch pockets are cute and a little pleat (gusset?) lets them hold more than you might think from the picture but why are they so small? Just an inch or so wider and the power cord and transformer would be so much easier to stow tidily. There is a flat pocket the width of the case on the back, not too obvious from pictures or descriptions. I wish it had an expansion pleat also, but it is fine for papers or thin manuals.
On the whole, I'll probably be happier with this choice than with anything else I looked at.

I got this memory chip to load maps into my Garmin GPSMAP60CSx GPS. It works great. I loaded all of the North America streets maps, and only used about half the capacity. A 1Gb memory chip would have probably been plenty big enough. Optoma PT100, WVGA, 50 LED Lumens, Gaming Projector
I recently purchased this projector as a replacement for my near-vintage Sharp XV101TU, whose bulb decided to blow out on me. In the process of shopping for a replacement projector (or trying to decide whether to just replace the bulb nothing but love for my 25 lbs projector from the early 90's..) the Optoma PT100 caught my eye.I admit my main draw to this projector was the price which was less than a mere bulb for your average projector and the fact that THIS bulb would never need to be replaced, as it was powered by LEDs. I dove headlong into purchasing the projector knowing full well LEDs couldn't replace the luminescence of a metal-halide bulb, but the lure of never having to shell out $300 every year or two couldn't be denied, and I was willing to take a chance on the 50(!!) lumen output.
Now here, we get to one of the main points I uncovered from doing projector research: ALWAYS be extremely wary of no-name projectors. You probably already knew that, but pay particular attention to the "brightness" department. Many list their brightness as 400lm, or sometimes even 1000+ lumens, or worse yet, not at all. This isn't very scientific, to be sure, but if in doubt, try and see if you can find a Youtube video or the like demonstrating the projector. After seeing various nameless LED Chinese projectors on Youtube and comparing them to legit 1000 lumen projectors, it seems pretty obvious their brightness stats are a little inflated (not to mention, if the typical Samsung or LG LED projector projects at 200lm... you gotta wonder). I say this because I noticed that with a 50 lumen output, this projector really seems to be a lame duck when considering no-name eBay projectors have an alleged 1200 lumens for the same price. But I can assure you, no-name projectors almost never live up to their descriptions, so do your homework! Better go with a lower lumen projector from a reputable manufacturer than a knock-off claiming a million lumens, in my opinion.
That said, 50 lumens is no sunbeam of light, but I currently have it set about 14 feet away and for watching a movie at night, the 80+ inch image is awesome. Of course, you do want to be conscious of what you will typically be using the projector for before you purchase. Yes, the ability to be satisfied with a given brightness is subjective, but only to a point. If your primary purpose for getting a projector is watching Dark Knight over and over again, 50 lm will inarguably be a little dark for your needs (pun intended) most LED projectors probably will be. For your average movie or Wii game, however, this projector performs brilliantly. Keep in mind though, nighttime use or with a good set of blackout curtains. If you're looking at daytime gaming... again, add blackout curtains to your financial calculations (or start moving your gaming chairs to the basement). On the positive side, the projector is extremely portable, so if you have a room that's naturally darker than others, it's easy to move.
A note about screen size: like many inexpensive projectors, there is a fixed throw ratio in other words, for you camera savvy folk, no zoom lens the screen size is in direct proportion to how far the projector is placed from the screen/wall.
Many of you probably have concerns about the resolution I certainly did. Yes, 480 is pretty old-school tech, no getting around that the projector IS $199. Keep in mind though, that it is 480p (all LCDs, DLPs, and Plasmas, to my knowledge, are progressive scan), so it's a squeak better than standard definition (I believe it's formally called "enhanced definition"). Additionally, to offset what many might consider to be low res for today's standards, the projector's native resolution is 854x480 pixels, which amounts to widescreen plus (a native DVD film resolution is 720x480, widescreen format is 704x480, and 4:3 format is 640x480). What this means, at the end of the day, is that if you watch a widescreen DVD, the image doesn't have to be shrunk down to fit or cropped, like it might otherwise have to be on a projector with a native 4:3 aspect ratio (i.e. 640x480). Also with regard to image quality, 3LED DLP is known to have nice vivid color and as far as I'm concerned, it does.
Unfortunately, there is no remote for this thing all adjustments are made with buttons on the body itself.
Speaking of body, the build quality is excellent considering the price tag nice solid plastic housing; a possibly random aside: when I first took it out of the box, I thought it very much resembled the look and feel of a typical wall-powered radio alarm clock, both in size and weight (and color). It is a bit lighter than one would expect from a projector, even one of this size. Is it as tank-like as my old Sharp? Definitely not, but no modern projector really is. Will it stand up to a fair amount of abuse from an average child? I imagine so.
Adjustments in height are made easy with an odd spring-loaded front leg that pops out with the push of a button on the side, and one of the rear legs can be adjusted to level the image. Keep in mind, there is no keystone, so set it in a good spot where you won't have to tilt it too much.
A little annoyance on this projector is the lack of connections. While on the one hand, it keeps the projector simple, as I'm sure was the intention, it also means you need additional cables if you want something better than the yellow-plug composite video. Granted, it's a fairly easy and inexpensive endeavor to acquire a component > 15-pin RGB cable (or s-video > 15-pin if you like), but it would have been helpful had they included a little adapter dongle or something of the sort.
Bottom line, if you know what you're getting, this projector will not disappoint. Don't be discouraged by the name "PlayTime" it is actually a very capable little machine. If you go in expecting it to be one of those you've seen in your giant lecture halls or rich friend's home theatre, your expectations will probably be let down. If, on the other hand, you're looking for an inexpensive alternative to a humongous screen TV that uses less power and is much more portable, this is an excellent projector.
I liked this projector for playing games and watching movies in a very dark room with an image size of about 40 inches. There's a bit of lag on the refresh, but games that don't have a lot of full-screen quick motion should play just fine. This will also do a rear-projection setup too! It has a very low power requirement, about 1.5 watt @ 120VAC (mine worked at 78VAC for hours, no problems!)and it's pretty quiet. Not very good for use as a presentation projector. Better overall, than I though it would be. Could replace a tv that's smaller than 25 inches. It would also be an okay display solution for someone deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan.
Features that I liked:
You can switch between inputs without unplugging anything. There's an option to flip the image horizontally (for rear projection) and vertically (for upside down mounting). It's pretty quiet and only draws ~1.5 watts at 120 volts. Indecently, the power in my building was regularly dropping down to about 78 volts AC for hours at a time and it still worked just fine. The power supply is very small, just a bit bigger than a small Snickers bar. There's an option for wide or standard screen mode.
Features that I felt were useless, or gave false hope:
There's a brightness adjustment that really only changes the color temp. They're not labeled warm, cool and other, but that's what they really are. The manual focus is easy to adjust. I have better than 20/20 vision uncorrected and I found that the upper left corner was never in focus with the rest of the screen, annoying. When using it with my little HP mini 210 the colors were always over saturated, the brightness options didn't help.
Short falls (cons):
This projector isn't bright by any means (when projecting onto a thick white cotton sheet), unless you'r projecting a 25 inch or smaller image you're going to need a darkened room. Anything over 40 inches and your room needs to be almost completely black. At that size though the standard definition image shows individual pixels.
Strengths (pros):
It's a pretty quiet projector that draws very little power, you might even be able to hook this up to a portable power supply. The manual focus ring is easy to use and get the image focused for your eyes. The front foot adjusts hight easily. All of the connections are made at the rear of the unit. It's smaller than I thought it was going to be, and lighter.
Included hardware/cables:
Mine came with a 3ft (not sure, I never unraveled it) male to male RCA video and stereo cable. A ~1.5 watt (at 120 VAC) power adapter. And instructions. There was no VGA cable or any other cables included.
My impressions on using it:
I had mine set up to make about a 40 inch image onto a thick white sheet.
I used it with my Nintendo Wii in widescreen mode and standard definition. The first game I played was Link's Crossbow Trainer, it worked very well. Although I felt that there was a very slight lag in the video it worked well for that game. I managed to get platinum ranking on every level in the first few days of playing it. That game requires quick responses and there's moderate speed to most of the on-screen motion. The second game I played was Red Steel 2. It was very difficult to play this game. On easy I wasn't kicking butt like I was on my tv. There was a loss of detail and the quick motion in this game blurred very badly. Games that have lots of full screen motion will be made harder by this projector's slow refresh rate.
I also used this with my HP Mini 210 netbook. The experience here was worse but better too. This is when I found that no matter how I adjusted the focus the upper left corner was never going to be sharp with the rest of the screen. The colors were also over saturated, no matter what brightness mode I used. I could also make out all of the pixels, in the areas that were focused. It did, however, work very well for playing videos in full screen mode. I just had to adjust Windows Media Player's colors to make it look more lifelike. I forgot we were watching movies on a projector with a sheet. It was completely dark in the room though.
After nearly a year of ownership:
I've used it to play Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and Wii Sports. It's okay for LoZ, but works great for Wii Sports and other very cartoon-like games. I wouldn't expect it to work well playing my Xbox 360 games, especially any of the Halo series or Forza. It has a few focus issues though. I can never get the whole picture to focus and it needs to be adjusted once it warms up (or you turn it back on after it cools). I've been using it in Afghanistan this past year. My roommates and I watch AFN on it in several times a day.

display for kids and the family.
The PlayTime projector has an extremely straight forward design a couple video inputs,
front drop down foot for adjusting the projection angle, screw down rear foot for leveling
the image, focus ring and control panel buttons.
The control panel includes seven buttons power, volume +/-, source, menu, and left/
right arrows for scrolling through the menu. The menu features adjustments for aspect
ratio, brightness, language preference, source selection and image orientation.
This less than 2 pound projector can be connected to a variety of AV sources through the
composite video input, to computers using the VGA input and to audio using RCA jacks.
Included in the carton is the projector, a power cable, RCA cables for L/R audio and
composite video, user guide and a 90 day warranty card.
The projector is bright enough to display an acceptable 30" diagonal image in rooms
with the lights on and a 60" diagonal image with the lights off. When you turn off the
lights the image looks great, not high resolution, but more than acceptable for kid friendly
movies and basic video games. I estimate the projector needs to be about 5 feet from a
wall to display a 30" diagonal wide-screen image and about 10 feet back to project a 60"
diagonal wide screen image.
The projector can run for hours and generates very little heat so you don't have to worry
about burning fingers or melting table tops. The LED PT100 reminds me of a flash light
that can be turned on and off at random without worrying about burning out a costly
lamp.
The PT100 won't replace your television or large screen projector but your kids will
enjoy impromptu movie and video game nights on the wall or ceiling of their choice.

Really liked the Optoma PT100 projector... while it worked. All of a sudden, white pixels started to appear all over the projected image. Research results list that the inferior metal-tape(heat-sink) goes bad quickly causing the DLP chip to also go bad. DLP repair costs more than a total projector replacement. Internal construction appears to make home-repair difficult. This projector starts off good, but after about 6 months is begins having problems. We have gone through 2 of them now. The first one's power button went out after about 6 months. Amazon kindly let us exchange it, even though it was past the return date. Since no one had written about this happening in the reviews we figured we had just gotten a faulty one. The replacement started off great, but again, after about 6 months we turned it on to find black and white spots all over the projected image. Dust particles, pixels? I'm not sure. We tried to clean it to no avail. We went back and checked the Amazon reviews to see if other people had this problem. Sure enough, other people who had theirs over 3 months complained of the same thing. It seems repairing it costs more than the projector is worth. Once more Amazon gladly issued a return, even though past the return data again, so that was a relief. Time to shop for a new projector, this one is not worth the hassle!Save 21% Off

I keep them in a desk drawer with an old credit card, glass cleaning cloth, can of dry air and an Xacto razor.The little graph reference makes cutting something to size a cinch. If you get a bubble while applying you can back up and they're pretty forgiving. I've had one on my Sansa mp3 player than I run with for several weeks now and it keeps on sticking even after all that sweat.
If they do get a little scratched they're cheap to replace and easy to work with so not much lost there.
I've gone a little crazy and screen protected everything I touch from camera LCD panels to cell phones to a DS Lite (they work on the touch screen just fine).

These are a little tricky to apply. I can never get it on completely bubble free. The bubble looks bad when the screen is dark, but a small one is hardly noticeable when the screen is lit. The best part: when it comes time to change protectors. I pull the old, crudy one off and my ipod screen is in perfect shape. Looks like it's band new. I was really hoping that this product would have been easier to install. Yes the instructions are simple but the squeegee tool (cardboard) can actually scratch the protective screen as you try to get all the bubbles out and smooth it down.Anyway, the price is good and you get 5 screen protectors, but you do get what you pay for.

This is a nicely made case and I'm happy enough with it. . The front cover does not fold flush to the back of the case when you have the Kindle open to read, which I'd gotten used to with my old Kindle case. It also has no elastic straps to make sure it stays closed, which you can see in the pictures.My biggest complaint is that I wish it had a loop to hold a stylus. I have to keep mine clipped to the front, which makes me afraid I'll lose it.
