MG Portable Android Wi-Fi Game System
The MG Game System is a totally awesome NEW portable game system that runs off of the Google Play via Wi-Fi, which means your child has access to thousands of FREE apps and allows your children the freedom to download the apps they want with a prepaid allowance that their parents set.
It's super slim so your child will have no problem toting it around in their pocket just like a smart phone. It has a sleek design so your child will want to pull it out in front of their friends and show it off. But best of all? Us parents get our devices back! Woohoo!
With the $149.99 price tag it's totally affordable considering how much I paid for my iPhone. I am purchasing a second unit because my children and I loved the first one so much!
This portable game system is definitely a MUST BUY for older children, tweens and teens!Just got this in the mail a couple of days ago and wanted to try it out before I put it under the tree for my son.
First, the packaging was awesome and the experience of opening it will be great on Christmas morning.
Second, the start up was easy. I wanted to make sure it was totally set up for my son because he's going to be anxious to get going on the games. It was only a few steps and I set it up with a Google account.
Third, I'm really impressed with the spending card. My son is 9 and while he's been good about asking before using my credit card for games on my iPhone, I like that he'll have his own card that I can pre-load and have him learn how to think before buying his games. I have a feeling he'll be choosier about now that he's spending his own money :)
The only downside is that since this is run on wifi, some games won't work unless without a connection. Other than that, the MG feels sturdy without being hulking or heavy. The screen says it is made of gorilla glass so I'm hoping it withstands the abuse my son will give it. It feels stronger than my iPhone though and he's put that thing through tough times!

The MG Portable Android Wi-Fi Game System has been non-stop play over the past 2 weeks playing favorite games such as SA Hero, MBA Jam and A Need For Speed. The device travels with us during our everyday errands or on road trips to our cabin.
If you are looking for a SURPRISE Fun gift to give I highly recommend the MG Portable Android Wi-Fi Game System it comes pre-loaded with great games which means no more high priced games to be purchased. There are plenty of free downloadable App games as well as inexpensive ones as low as 99 cents each.
For us moms the best part is the "Remote Trust" a feature that allows parents to view their kid's activity from a distance. Add your email to the system at set-up and then you can receive updates on your computer or smartphone about your child's MG activity and the SpendSmart(TM) Prepaid MasterCard(R) a reloadable debit account allowing you to create "game allowances" that the teen can use for App purchases.
Enjoy the Surprise Fun!

I bought five of these for my kids for Christmas and originally it did not work well (see first review below). I sent them back for a refund. I will say that one of the best things about MG is the customer service team. I was contacted almost immediately and informed there was a fix in place that solved the freezing issues. I was offered a chance to try the MG again and sent a complimentary MG. My kids played on it non-stop for hours and NO FREEZING at all! The fix worked great... this is definitely a wonderful game for kids. Thank you MG team for the update and the chance to test it out.******
I bought five of these for my kids for Christmas. I was excited when I opened them to set them up prior to Christmas even downloaded a couple of Android games. Set up Google accounts, etc. and repackaged. Kids thought I was the best youngest even called it her "phone". Shortly thereafter, the units started to freeze and shutoff randomly. You'd touch the screen and a totally different app would open. I did the pinch multiple times, but who wants to wait between playing over and over again to restart the unit! Very disappointing shipping them back and now need to figure out what to get them as a replacement. smh

We've had our MG for a few weeks now & we love it! We have Gameboys & everything but it's too expensive to have to keep paying for game cartridges. Our "smart" phones don't have enough space to download all the fun things we want to download. The MG lets us add more memory with an SD card & there are SO MANY free apps out there that the kids can play. We even have the kids watch Netflix on it at home, instead of fighting over the show that's on. No more "I don't want to watch thiiiiiis" whining! We couldn't be happier with our MG!*Disclosure: I received the MG in exchange for a review on my blog. However, I wouldn't endorse something I didn't truly love!
rooCASE Acer Aspire AS1410-2285 11.6-Inch Netbook Carrying Case (VersaSport Bag - Black)
I don't use the front ipad pocket for music but I have found it's a very handy place to stash a couple of flash drives for instant access. This case, like all the other rooCases I have had, came nicely finished, it's sturdy, well made and I am very satisfied with this purchase. After several false starts and returns I have finally found a case that fits my NB205 Toshiba with the large battery. This case fits it like a glove! Front pocket has room for the power supply and its cables as well as a built in internal pouch for a Mini Toshiba Mouse. There is a strange magnetically closed pouch on front of the front pocket looks like it might be good for business cards but not much else. All-in-all a very well made case for the Toshiba Mini.

rooCASE Netbook Carrying Bag for Acer Aspire One AO722-BZ 11.6-Inch HD Netbook - Classic Series Bla
It holds the netbook nicely in place with an elastic strap, and has padding all around the bottom and sides. The shoulder strap that is included will actually extend long enough to go over a shoulder. It fits my Acer One 11.6 but nothing else in that compartment. It has maybe half an inch of space on the side and thats it. Strangly there is a lot of room above the netbook, about an inch of space between the top of my netbook and the case. I would have rather seen this space used for something like a zippered pouch or something to hold pens, flash drives, headphones, business cards etc. I'm used to seeing that in laptop bags and this extra space would have been perfect for it.
My preferences aside, it is a well built bag offering more protection than a sleeve and avoided looking like a purse. The big outter pouch holds the power adapter and a medium sized mouse and has a little room left. It's a great looking, well designed case. I'd say protection is plenty sufficient for my purposes, but don't plan to run over the bag with your car and have your netbook emerge unscathed. I really like it for the airplane because I can carry it inside of my airplane carry-on (usually a backpack), throw the backpack in the overhead container, and keep the RooCase at my seat with all my other small gadgets tucked in the side pockets. Good buy. This is the first rooCASE I had purchased. I have purchased cases from other manufacturers but this one seems to have had just a bit more design and engineering attention than some of the others. It is durable and stylish...and well-padded. A restraint strap holds things securely. There is room in the main compartment for both a netbook and a small keyboard (sitting atop the computerI put a thin layer of foam between them to prevent scratching)...without cramping or "bending" the compartment that is perfect. In the outer pocket there is room for your mouse, a hub, a couple of usb cables and a few other useful items. The zippers are of very good quality and the shoulder strap is comfortable. I can carry everything I need for using my computer to a remote location, including an extension cord, in this bag without having it look "over-stuffed." Don't hesitate to purchase this sturdy case. The other bags I have purchased are also of good quality, but they always were bulging with the same amount of equipment and it worried me that some component I was carrying would be damaged by the compression. There is nothing astounding in the design of this bag, it is just well-styled, sturdy, well-planned and designed to carry a lot of gear without looking like it is carrying a lot of gear. I like it.I have Aspire notebook and it fits perfectly. The side bag could expand a little better to fit the AC power adapter/plug and mouse, but all in all a good buy. I would recommend to anyone.Fit's my 11.6" Netbook very well, very solid construction, Nice amount of storage in the pocket would definately buy again if I need another one
Kickstand Stand Adjustable Handheld Electronics Holder for Apple Ipad, Iphone and other laptop comp
1) It has a rubber surface to help protect the ipad.
2) Works in portrait and landscape orientation
3) Has adjustable viewing angles
4) One piece design
5) Easy to travel with
I have no issues with this stand. I wish it came with a better quality case, but I guess at this price you can't complain about that to much.I bought this for my Kindle 3 and it's perfect. Very portable and has a nice weight to it for added stability.Works perfectly. The only complaint is that is is a bit bulky, but is smaller than some of the other stands. Adjusting the angle is the best feature. The legs that the iPad sits on seem cheap but we will see how they last.

So here I was, with a $20.00 (+s&h!) Gomadic Charger in the mail for a Kindle 1 that no longer existed, and an incompatible (charging adapter wise) Kindle 3 on its way!
I immediately emailed Gomadic Customer Support, explaining the problem and asking how it can be remedied, because otherwise I'd reluctantly have to return the product (they have unconditional 30-day return policy).
To my agreeable surprise, they answered my email within a couple of hours of my sending it to them, and informed me they were sorry to hear of my broken Kindle, and that they had already mailed me the appropriate adapter so I could charge my new Kindle 3, all free of charge.

How it works: it talks to the computer as if it's a keyboard. But the only keystrokes it can send are: PageUp (the left button), PageDown (the right button), B (the bottom button), and Alt+Esc (the top button). (The red middle button is the laser pointer.)
The bottom button is like hitting the B key, which in a PowerPoint slideshow toggles a black screen, useful for momentarily hiding a slide. (By the way, W goes to a white screen if you're using a full keyboard; the remote doesn't have a button for that.)
IF YOU HAVE OTHER PROGRAMS OPEN: This remote doesn't have any magical connection to PowerPoint; it's just a mini keyboard. So it won't affect PowerPoint unless the PowerPoint slideshow window is the "active" window. If another program is running and is selected, you'll just scroll it up and down and type a lot of "B"s, same as if you pressed PageDown and B on your regular keyboard.
That's where the top button comes in. In Windows XP, pressing Alt+Esc cycles focus between all open applications in the taskbar. (It cycles through in the order they were last "active", not necessarily the order they appear on the task bar.) In other words, the top button on the remote is basically a "switch between open programs" button. So if your "next slide" button isn't working, it may be bcause a different window is selected. Don't panic and don't immediately assume the battery is dead. First make sure the power switch on the side is on. Then just alternately press the "next window" (top) and "next slide" (right) buttons until the slide changes.
IF YOU USE DUAL-DISPLAY "PRESENTER VIEW":
Presenter view opens in another window, separate from the slideshow (and separate from the main PowerPoint window where the file can be editted). The left and right arrow keys function as previous and next slide when either of those windows (Presenter view or slideshow itself) is active. But PageUp and PageDown (which is what the remote's buttons are) only work on the slideshow window, not the Presenter window (in Presenter, PageUp and PageDown scroll through notes for the current slide). That means that if you have clicked the Presenter window then it will be the active window, and the previous and next slide buttons on the remote will not work until you re-select the slideshow window (which you can do using the top button as described above).
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
If you're not afraid to delve a bit deeper into Windows, you can eliminate the chance for any confusion or delay the Presenter/PageDown issue might cause by remapping your keyboard's PageDown and PageUp keys to functions as right and left arrows. The simple and free way to do this without installing any software is a quick modification to Windows' registry:
1 Create a new text file and open it.
2 Copy and Paste into the text file the following three lines:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout]
"Scancode Map"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,03,00,00,00,4b,e0,49,e0,4d,e0,51,e0,00,00,00,00
3 Save and close the text file.
4 Change the .txt extension at the end of the filename to .reg (To do this you must have Windows Explorer's option set NOT to "Hide extensions of known file types")
5 Right click the file and select "Merge"
6 Reboot (or just log off and back on)
Both the keyboard and the remote are now remapped. The PageUp and PageDown keys (left and right buttons on the remote) work like left and right arrow keys now. Thus the remote will advance and reverse slides whether the active windows is the Presenter view window or the slideshow window itself.
By the way, you can still page up and down if you need to. Just turn off Number Lock, then use the 9 and 3 keys on the numeric keypad. With NumLock off the 9 and 3 work like PageUp and PageDown, even while the regular PageUp and PageDown are remapped to function as arrow keys.
Not graceful, but it gets the job done.
To undo it:
1 Press Winkey+R (or click "Start" then "Run...")
2 Enter "regedit"
3 In the left column, by expanding the folders, navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout
4 Right Click on "Scancode Map" and delete.
5 Reboot (or just log off and back on)
Registry editor is not a toy, and you can incapacitate your computer if you mess around in there. If you want a simple, straightforward presenter to click through Powerpoint slides, this one works very well. I bought it at Staples after my old presenter died. Installation is very simple, completely plug and play, and it worked right away. Buttons for advancing slides, for going backward, blanking screen, for the laser pointer, and another I haven't used so I can't remember what it is for. I have not tried to use it for anything besides Powerpoint, on a Windows XP laptop. I use it for large lecture classes, where I want to control when I change the slide, so it doesn't matter that there is no timer. Laser works fine. Takes 1 AAA battery, so it's easy to replace. The big problem, though, is that you'll be replacing the battery a lot. One week after classes started, I've replaced the battery once already, and I'm about to replace it again. Part of the problem is that I keep forgetting to turn off the on/off switch at the side, which is very inconspicuous; but also there is no battery indicator, and, really, it just burns batteries pretty fast. If you want a simple presenter for occasional use, this may be it. But I will eventually replace it for one that doesn't use batteries so fast.

I'm a Community College instructor and have found this to be an invaluable tool. The newer projection system we use doesn't allow remote advancement of slides. This inexpensive tool does just what it says and works perfectly and without fail. It was as easy to install as a flash drive. I'm now able to interact with my classes instead of being held hostage behind the lectern in order to advance slides. I also really like the darken feature and use it anytime I think a class is copying power points instead of interacting with each other on the subject. Rate 5 stars because I can't give it 6.Once I got this device to turn on, it worked really well. Range was great, the laser is bright enough. It's easy to get to the batteries. The control buttons are intuitive enough that I never have to look at the presenter to know what I'm doing. Although if you try to do two things at once with your presentation hand, you can easily hit a wrong button. The main problem is getting the device to turn on. I struggled twice for over 10 minutes not knowing if it would ever activate. When it did activate, I couldn't determine what got it to work all of a sudden.I have found this item very useful in wirelessly changing the slides for PowerPoint presentations. The laser pointer works without any problem. For the price, it cannot be beat. Other more expensive solutions have many more bells and whistles but for just pointing and changing slides, this is all I need.

Ordered this for my 11 year old sons for their tablets. They are just ok. Not the best material or styling. There are some holes that don't line up with anything, but the camera hole is adequate. There are some extra hole opening to nowhere. It is sufficient for young kids. It does protect the tablet well. If you are looking for something real stylish with nice materials this is not for you. Clumsy design and materials are kind of cheap and on the heavy side as well. Great for kids though for a few years. Unfortunately, there are not that many to choose from to fit this Acer tablet.First off, I didn't purchase this case, it came with the used Acer Iconia I bought. So, its been used, but I don't think my issues of it relate to that.It holds the tablet well, and when closed its comfortable. When I got it it had some fraying on the sides and a couple of loose threads, but I have no idea what the previous owner did to it. (Although, the tablet is in pristine shape.)
However, when using the stand, I always have to stop, take a second, and slide the flap into the little lip in the back. I can't do this without looking, and it usually takes two hands (one hold the back flap, one holding the lip open to slide the flap in). That gets old quick.
My main issue with the cover is that it hurts my hands. Trying to hold the tablet in my left hand in portrait mode with the flap around the back is just plan uncomfortable. I am a lady and my hands are small. Since there is nothing to hold the flap folded back, I have to squeeze pretty hard with my hand to keep things from sliding against each other or coming unfolded. After a while that cramps my hand.
Overall its a decent looking case, and for someone with larger hands, or who intends to lap hold it I think its good.

Somehow the purchase increased by contract period which was not plain to me. I merely wanted a phone to fulfill my old contract.Phone arrived at time promised. Phone suppose to be new and seems to be so, except for battery. I have to charge it every night. Volume on phone very good, speaker works great. Best signal I have ever gotten in my rural area with a cell phone. Phone easy to navigate, dont use it for internet. I bought this phone mostly because it is suppose to be tough and so far it seems to be that. Overall this is a good buy if you are looking for a phone that gets great reception and you can hear who you are talking to.The phone look very good when I received it but it was lock. I was not able to get it unlocked. A waste if moneyAcer Aspire V3-772G-9829 17.3-Inch Laptop (Sophisticated Black)
2nd) Screen is very clear, sharp and colorful. The matte screen is a nice touch. The screen is not as nice as the HP's but you won't be disappointed. Viewing angles are not the best...but it is a laptop and when am I ever viewing this thing off angle?? The screen looks great. Very quick and responsive black to white and white to black times.
3rd) Boot time. This thing has a 5400 rpm 1TB HDD. After the necessary "config" boot. The next boot was 37 seconds to an open Internet Explorer. The next few boots were 24 Secs from switch on to open Internet Explorer. I am actually EXTREMELY pleased with that. I was going to dump the HDD and put in two 240gig SSD's, but now I will keep the 1TB 5400rpm drive and just put in the 240gig sandisk extreme in the other bay. Again...very impressed with the included HDD.
4th) At idle AND under heavy benchmarking loads this thing runs very cool. However at idle the fan is louder than I would like to see. But it is not distracting. Even under load the fan is not instrusive.
5th) The GT750M idles (when the Intel HD 4600 integrated graphics is in use) at 40c. When the GT750M is in use and at idle the idle temp is 45c. The CPU's idle at 38-42c.
Now for the temps under load: Running Furmark @ 1280x720 no AA, FPS were 18fps and after 10mins running the GPU temp maxed out at 79c! This thing stays extremely cool!
The CPU's running Prime95 after 10 mins highest average temp was 88c.
All temps were done with a room at 74F.
6th) There is the normal bloatware. Uninstall went smooth so if you are keeping Windows8 then you will be fine and will be able to uninstall the bloat. Me personally. Win8 will be wiped off 30mins after writing this review. I'll be putting win7 that bought with this laptop on the HDD and putting linux mint on my SDD.
7th) This thing is VERY light for a 17.3" laptop with installed googies. 7.03 lbs. The AC adapter is nicely sized with plenty of cord. The physical size of the laptop is perfect for me. The ASUS G75's and G750 have those huge cooling vents in the back which add 2 inches to the width. This doesn't need it and it still stays plenty cool.
8th) Speakers are adequate. They are plenty loud and sound decent enough. They are not going to win any awards but then again they are just fine. A little tinny. But not bad.
I haven't done a battery test yet. But are you really buying a 17.3" performance monster for the battery life?
I don't have any games installed yet for benchmarks (because about to wipe out Win8), but the 18fps in Furmark at 1280x720 is pretty good. You can google the performance of the GT750M. They are pretty much in line with the GTX660M. Once I get some games loaded I'll update.
All in all this is one GREAT laptop. Lots crammed into a perfect sized/weighted 17.3" laptop that doesn't get hot!
UPDATE: Battery UseJumped online and unplugged the cord. After 1 hr had 77% remaining. After 2 hrs had 55% remaining. If that keeps up the Battery will last OVER 4 Hours just surfing the internet, contributing to forums and writing reviews :) In fact hovering over the battery icon after 2 hours of use it says 2hrs 34 mins remaining.
I'm stunned! This is with me changing the settings in the Nvidia Control Panel to Prefer Maximum and Preferring the Dedicated Card instead of the integrated graphics.I've had this computer for a couple of days now and I am really impressed with the laptop. It's quick to open programs and it has run the few games I have played on it so far with no issues. There is a bit of a learning curve with Windows 8. I have had a little trouble with the touchpad as it is quick to count a swipe as a click. I haven't played much with the settings so there may be something I can do about that. With a 17+" screen this isn't exactly going to fit in your pocket. That said between the large screen and the Dolby speakers this thing looks and sounds great.
Seems like a great machine at this price.

PDair VX1 Black Leather Case for HTC EVO Shift 4G
HOT PINK For HTC Bee Wildfire Silicone Skin Case Cover
JAVOedge Editor Flip Case for Barnes & Noble Nook Color / Nook Tablet
Pros:
* High quality feel
* For the most part, the NookColor doesn't move when it's in the case (more on that later)
* Easy access to all buttons
* Extra holding space in the top flap is nice, though not very useful (again, more on that later)
Cons:
* The space for holding notes and business cards is not very useful I've found. While I can slip a piece or two of paper into it, anything more than that and it starts to get awkward to use, and things fall out when you have the cover flipped backwards to use the Nook. Along with that, the business card slot on mine seems a bit loose, and things have a tendency to slide around in there. This may be a flaw with only my case, or may be a flaw in the product line, I do not know. Regardless, it's an issue with mine, and something to keep in mind if you intend to buy this case with the intention to use those areas.
* The Nook is held nicely in the case when it's closed, but it slides a bit when you have it opened up. This seems to be due to the fact that the Nook is held in place simply by leather, which it naturally glides along easily. There have been numerous times, when holding my Nook in landscape mode, that it has slide out of the case a bit when I'm using it. This generally happens when I'm surfing the internet and have to move my hands around a lot to type. It's not generally an issue, as a slight nudge and it's back in place, but it's something to consider.
* This last thing is more of a personal issue than anything, but when using the stand I feel that the Nook is angled too far upward. I would prefer that the Nook stands slightly more vertically, as it's angled a bit too far back for me personally. Others may prefer it the way it is however.Grippy feeling from the textured case easy to grasp.
Looks very sharp.
Nook color fits in the case very well, tight enough, but not too tight that you can't remove it. If you open the top flap and flip it upside down, it stays in the case. If you shake it a little, it slides right out. Perfect.
Stand works excellent. Snaps keep it shut when you want but is easy to snap open. Stays out of the way when closed very well nice and snug to back of case, so no accidental opening of the stand is likely.
All ports exposed and easily accessible.
Magnetic clasp on the front holds it shut well.
Top folds back easily for reading / tablet use / etc and doesn't look like it will get creases or anything.
Small cut out in rear panel for the NC speaker, under the stand, so you can hear the speaker when the stand is open.
Minor Cons:
When the stand is snapped shut, the sound is muffled to some extent. Not fatally, but noticeably. When the stand is open, I think it actually sounds better / louder (I think the sound is bouncing off the stand a little). A small cutout in the stand seems like it would have helped with this.
Could have done without the card holder/ flap on the top. That's just my preference though.
Quick update: I tried this case out on my e-ink Nook, and it fits pretty well tighter than the Nook color so the frame around the screen sticks out a tiny bit but definitely workable. In case anyone is wondering.

I must have looked at 50 different Nook Color cases, either in person at Barnes & Noble or Staples, or on line. I must have read most all of their reviews on Amazon. Fortunately, the expenditure of all that time proved to have been worth it. The flip case that arrived is protective, well-stitched, attractive, and stands up well. I could have paid a lot more than the $18 it cost with shipping and been no more satisfied.Read Best Reviews of JAVOedge Editor Flip Case for Barnes & Noble Nook Color / Nook Tablet Here
the stand isnt very sturdy and if you have more than 1 pice of paper in the little pocket everything will slide out when its folded back but its a good product for the price you pay.Want JAVOedge Editor Flip Case for Barnes & Noble Nook Color / Nook Tablet Discount?
I bought this cover based on other feedback and it payed off. I love it it looks great, cleans easily and can be propped up with the stand to display without holding it. Highly recommended!
